L'Osteria in Berlin

First we waited 15 minutes at the entrance until someone came, then the waiter told us to wait even though there were seats available and in the end there was no more pasta or salads, only a half-warm pizza!!! Never again!!

Everything top and fast and fair price performance.

We were very satisfied with our visit to L'Osteria! The selection of drinks is large, the waiters are very friendly and attentive, and the pizza – simply delicious! Everything was fresh and prepared with a lot of love. We really can't say anything bad and we'd love to come back. :)

Food is very good! Portions are really big, especially the pizzas. They also have a good vareity of items on the menu. I've been here two times now. The first time was a little bit of a disappointment as my order was completely wrong. But instead of waiting for 15 minutes for a new order while the rest of the company was eating I just ate it anyway. But it was not what I wanted. The staff made up for it, however, as they gave a free desert to the one in the group whose birthday we were there celebrating. They also played Happy Birthday on the speakers as they delivered the cake with a sparkler candle. The second time I was here the experience was way better. The staff was super friendly, chatty and very accomodating. We were a group of 6+ people and everyone got their correct order surprisingly quickly. Food and drinks were really good! Would recommend!

Worst restaurant experience ever. I ate the pasta pomodoro é balsamico. They served me a huge bowl of horror. The pasta was heavily overcooked. The tomato sauce tasted like it was straight out of a can. Onions were raw. Basil was brown. The whole meal was not seasoned at all. Tasted like nothing. And it was not just my meal that they messed up, all the pastas of my friends tasted the same (overcooked, unseasoned). Pizza was horrible aswell. We waited for at least 45-60 min. for a pasta that literally anyone could cook better. Never again. Tummy hurt afterwards.

As a Berliner you notice the tourist character. In this respect the quality is okay, not spectacular. If a waiter takes care of you, then he is also friendly. It was practically the second time I was there and the service staff were always completely overwhelmed

Good food, standard L'Osteria. Everything could be a little cheaper, but it's still ok. Location right in front of the Uber Arena, so perfect for dinner before things start.

L’Osteria is always a good choice when looking for an Italian restaurant. The pizza is very tasty and the version with half/half is simply clever. The restaurant itself is always quite full, which is why there are often long waiting times, which is why a star is deducted. The toilets are always kept clean. Right next to the cinema, just great for a late dinner :)

From the reservation to the meal, everything went great. Food was very good and great service!

This was the most expensive L’Osteria I’ve ever been to. I guess it’s because of the location. Food was all in all good. If you know L’Osteria you know what you will get.

We went to this restaurant out of necessity, as we couldn't find any restaurant and the others were all booked. We had low expectations, being an Italian restaurant in Berlin, but we actually didn't have a bad meal. The pizza was good and digestible, but perhaps a little too salty and oily. Well done.

I went there with a friend on Sunday. We ordered pizza and pasta. Pizza was quite big and taste was ok not great... Toppings were not spread properly, everything was only in the centre.. Pizza is my comfort food and i have tried it at many many restaurants. BUT the main problem here is the waiter., particularly one waiter..I found him lacking basic etiquettes to talk to customer. He was rude and racist. And i saw many people were showing their discomfort towards him. I wonder why is he even there? It’s not good for restaurant. PS: Increase the plate size according to the pizza size. It’s not cool, rather bad seeing the pizza is literally touching the table.. NOT RECOMMENDED..

solche Pizzen habe ich wirklich selten gesehen, echt riesig! Und wirklich lecker, sehr dünner Teig und knuspriger Rand. Ich hatte Pizza Marinara mit Meeresfrüchten, Käse und Knoblauch. Hat echt klasse geschmeckt, wobei ich mir noch ein wenig mehr Meeresfrüchte auf dieser riesigen Pizza für immerhin 18,50 Euro hätte vorstellen können. Auch die Pasta und die Salate sahen klasse aus. Der Service war professionell und freundlich. Ein Manko ist der Geräuschpegel im Lokal. Es ist m.E. prima für Gruppen geeignet, eher weniger für Geschäftsessen oder ein romantisches Date, dafür ist es einfach aufgrund des großen Gastraumes und der damit verbundenen hohen Anzahl der Gäste zu laut. Wenn man vor einer Veranstaltung in der Uber-Arena hier einkehren möchte, sollte man unbedingt vorbestellen (was für die meisten Lokale hier am Uber-Platz gilt) - denn dann ist es trotz der Größe wirklich rappelvoll hier und man bekommt ohne Reservierung keinen Tisch.

Delicious food with friendly service

El recibimiento es muy malo, como si no fuera bienvenido. Además, situación rara, tenían muchas reservas de mesa pero no tenían ingredientes de la carta. Como antipasto no tenían nada. Definitivamente contratan a los garzones más mal genio y desagradables de Berlín.

We were here with our class and it was amazing how quickly the food arrived and how delicious everything was prepared!! The staff was also extremely accommodating!! Very very happy again!!

The pizzas are huge, delicious and really don't cost much. The prices for the drinks are probably very expensive for this reason.

We ate at the Osteria 14 days ago. The food was exactly what we expected. We know the Osteria restaurants in many German cities as well as in neighboring countries and are always satisfied with the food on offer. But what is worth highlighting about the Osteria at Uberplatz is that the service was simply excellent!!! In a relaxed atmosphere we were served quickly, friendly and courteously. For this reason we went there again 3 days later and were once again rewarded with good food and great service. Many thanks at this point to the service employee Momo, who contributed greatly to our satisfaction, see you soon

Abbiamo cenato a questo ristorante, con basse aspettative. Ma invece il risultato è stato sorprendente, la pizza è fina, non stile napoletano, molto grande (nel menu indicano 45cm!) ma la cosa che mi ha impressionato è la qualità degli ingredienti: pomodoro, mozzarella, etc... sono migliori di molte pizzerie italiane! anche la prosciutto+funghi era ottima. I prezzi sono alti, circa 15€-18€ a pizza, ma sono giustificati, per la location e la qualità degli ingredienti. Fanno anche la pasta ma quella non l'abbiamo provata, e non saprei dare un giudizio.

Nice restaurant and solid food. Unfortunately, service that day, despite the restaurant being quite empty, was unfortunately not very behind when it came to filling the drinks.

We're not from Berlin, but every time we come we always go here. HUGE pizza and tastes great. I can also highly recommend spagetti cabonara.

1. Bottomless prices: water 7.5l for 7.25€ 2. Food was absolutely bad: pizza prosciutto e funghi was delicious, half of the pizza only tasted of tomato sauce, the other half only tasted of mushrooms. Almost made me throw up. Absolutely not recommended.

A big compliment to the two female service staff who were on site today (September 5th until 4 p.m.):) very nice service and also perfect timing when accepting the order and asking for further requests:)) the branch is also very nice and cozy and very clean and tidy :) I would love to come back!

Rude people, menu not updated on website for 6 years and small portions for absurd prices. The pasta wasn't even really al dente and almost raw. Trust me and don't go to that snot shop

Food was good as always, great quality pizzas like in every Lostaria. Service mediocre. Are not willing to put together tables outside for more than 4 people at lunchtime. Inside you are then refused an 8er Rösch “there is no room for you and your group” and are given a 5er even though the shop was empty

We love this restaurant. The atmosphere and the quality/taste of the food are really perfect and it's fun to spend your evening here, especially in summer. Unfortunately the service needs improvement. We sat on the terrace and the friendliness and attention left a lot to be desired. Neither oil nor salt/pepper was given to the table and when we actually wanted to order something more to drink, no one came by or came close. Some guests were served by the same person in a very friendly and courteous manner, which also gave them an unpleasant feeling.

Service is usually quick and on point. Unfortunately the food is not worth a second visit. The spaghetti carbonara had no real flavor and tasted more like fat than like a dish. The bruscetta also needs improvement and is not refined at all. Bread was crispy but the tomato pieces on it tasted a bit bitter and always fell off the bread because they were not kept on top with olive oil and a delicious cream as usual. So overall, unfortunately not worth another visit.

I've recently had a highly unpleasant experience in this restaurant. I entered a restaurant and asked a waiter whether they had a table for two. As a response I received: "You first need to say hi when you talk to people". I was shocked. Not only did the waiter did 0 effort to be nice and welcoming, he was showing attitude and trying to discipline me. Needles to say, I did not receive a response about a table. I've heard that waiters are super rude in Berlin, but this is another level.

After we were super satisfied in Lübeck, the waitress was great, the food was great, we wanted to repeat the experience in Berlin... The waiter was very unfriendly, the table assigned to us was dirty, so they didn't want to serve us!!!! ????

Ordered Pizza Funghi and Spaghetti Carbonara, both were very tasty. Shortly afterwards we had stomach complaints all evening (only due to carbonara) and we had to cancel our plans. Regrettably.

Great food. Great atmosphere, but the service is not good. Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with a rude and impolite professional that was bringing the drinks to our table. My Dad made a mistake and he was super rude to him. This was enough for me to not return back to this restaurant anymore.

We had really excellent pizza at l'Osteria. Please be aware, these are really big pizza's! We sadly had to admit defeat at the end, and couldn't finish it all, but the pizza was really good. The service was really good as well, nice waiter, the food came quickly. It was a nice experience all around.

I would like to describe my experience from yesterday at L'Osteria, which unfortunately was very unpleasant. First of all, I would like to emphasize that we were very impressed with the quality of the pizzas and the size of the portions on our first visit in spring and decided to eat here again yesterday. However, our joy was marred by the behavior of a black-haired, 45-50 year old employee. My companion had arrived 30 minutes before me and was given a seat in the dark interior. When I appeared, we decided to take a brighter spot by the window. As we got outside, we talked about how nice it would be to sit completely outside. Another employee overheard our conversation and kindly offered us a seat outside, which we gladly accepted as we were still standing in the foyer at the time and hadn't taken the seats by the windows. When the female employee in question saw my little family and I sitting down outside, she came out of the counter area and ran out to us. In a loud and unfriendly tone she said harshly that we couldn't change our seats five times (even though this wasn't the case). We explained to her that we had been approached by her colleague and were allowed to sit here. She replied that it wasn't desirable because people outside always made so much mess. Her tone remained very inappropriate (even towards the friendly employee). I told her that as an adult I would like to be treated this way and that I found her unfriendly behavior towards me and my family completely inappropriate, as well as the accusation that we were causing disorder and chaos outside. All the restaurant visitors watched this scene with horrified expressions on their faces. We found their treatment very unpleasant and humiliating. My five-year-old daughter was very disturbed by the incident and hid behind me the entire time. Faced with this inappropriate treatment, we decided to leave the restaurant. The employee in question should consider that a pub or bar might be better suited to her demeanor and her “Berlin snout”. It is regrettable that a lovely Sunday outing and the anticipation of a delicious pizza was overshadowed by such disrespectful and hostile behavior. I hope that the employee in question just had a bad day and that it is not a deeper problem such as discrimination based on my migration background and the color of my skin. It is very worrying that she accused us of making a mess outside.

Previously our regular Italian restaurant, where we really loved it. The quality of the food and service has been steadily declining for about a year. We were advised against pasta dishes because the new chef couldn't handle them?! Due to a lack of staff, you wait forever to order, and up to 30 minutes for drinks

Great food and ambiance, but I didn't need the moral lesson about not leaving a tip, when I already paid 40€ for two lasagnas and two juices. Dissapointing, because this was the second time there, the first time was great.

Awful place, poor attending and just regular pasta, besides being twice as expensive as any other Berlin restaurants. They also overcharge and held you in the restaurant making threats of police (!!!!) when their own credit card machine has a problem. Avoid this much of this restaurant.

Last Tuesday I had dinner here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. We had a small dog with us and were able to take a table at the open window, as the beautiful terrace was unfortunately closed due to a lack of staff. The starters were really very good, caprese with great date tomatoes and high-quality mozzarella as well as carpaccio with fresh rocket and parmesan. For the main course I had zucchini spaghetti. It was absolutely delicious and unfortunately rarely found on a menu. The service was sufficiently attentive and the waiting time was completely acceptable. I will gladly come again.

A nice, well-kept shop with friendly staff. We usually go there for lunch on Saturdays. Probably very crowded in the evening... Addendum/Addendum: Unfortunately, one point deducted for the “plan maker” on Sunday. Children were treated roughly because they made the floor really marginally wet. We apologize, but the black-haired shift manager just grumbled a little... it doesn't work at all!!! This woman doesn't fit into the team. We are regular guests and spend a lot of money, so I want people to be understanding when children use the fountain on the square when it's 30 degrees. Tip: Put a dry mop down and we'll clean it up.

Very VERY slow service. It took me about 15 minutes to wait for the waiter to come and wait almost an hour for one drink and one dish, and this despite the fact that the restaurant was about 50% occupied.

We were very satisfied with the food. Unfortunately we couldn't say the same about the service. The shop is very nicely decorated but unfortunately a bit noisy. Basically, the store still deserves a second chance for us. 🍕
