L'Osteria in Ulm

I have never experienced such poor service in my life. But the pizza was very tasty

Service is a complete disaster. There were 5 of us there. The first person had to eat his pasta alone, then the three of us had the pizza when the first one was finished and then when we were finished with the pizzas the food came from the fifth person. Service for drinks was almost worse. All the people around us complained several times. Other Italians sometimes give you a Ramazotti as an apology or a round of drinks on the house as a gesture of goodwill or compensation, but none here. Sorry, it's Saturday and so it's hard to believe it's going to be busy. It won't be the first Saturday the store is open and if there are a lot of reservations you know it's going to be full. So all in all really bad.

Unfortunately, pizza wasn't hot, but rather cold. That's happened several times now. We said that, but unfortunately all we got was a sorry pizza instead of a fresh, hot pizza.

You just feel ripped off here. If you wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for food with children and mention it several times and still nothing comes. So you'd better go to another store to eat

Sunday 09.03.25 Waiting time catastrophe After more than an hour, a hard, cold, burnt pizza arrived. It was not possible for me to complain because the service was completely overwhelmed. Thanks to the kitchen. Our next table left after 90 minutes without having eaten at all. After talking to the very unfriendly chef who told me the pizza was on the house, I finally had to pay for it because I ate more than half of it. When should I have complained? If there is no staff anyway. And I I had to go to the kitchen myself. I also got hungry at some point. In the end I paid 16.90 for this pizza when I had only eaten half of it. There wasn't even an espresso on the house. I don't want to report on the hygienic situation in the kitchen. Unfortunately, after 14 years, the last visit to the Losteria in Ulm.

If you want good food then go to L'Osteria. Tasty, healthy, friendly (especially the young waiter Emir who served us). All in one will keep coming back.

If you want good Italian food, you're definitely in good hands there. But it's a little too loud for a first date.

We had a very cozy evening at L'Osteria! The drinks were right there. The pizza also arrived quickly and was very tasty! Lots of toppings and crispy edges 😋 It's oversized and we ate it for two, which you can have two toppings and so everyone still eats their own pizza ☺️ big thanks to the nice waiter Toni, who served us very attentively and courteously. Gladly again :) the pasta at the next tables also looked very tasty.

I ordered TORTELLONI PROSCIUTTO E PANNA. I was really looking forward to it because the last time I ate it was a long time ago at my favorite Italian restaurant when I was a student. I got hard green tortellini with a firm filling (a pack from Aldi tastes exactly the same). The ham and cream sauce tasted exactly the same: ham in the pan, cream on top and whipped over the tortellini. No spices, no cooking, no taste. And the food was cold too. I can do this better at home with tortellini from Rana. It's outrageous what price is charged for it. Never again.

Every bite is an explosion of pleasure - crispy base, steaming hot tomato sauce, the mozzarella stretches in sinfully long threads. We gave ourselves over to this uninhibited pleasure experience, devoured the steaming, lavishly topped delicacies with greedy gazes and let ourselves fall deeper into the realm of taste ecstasy with each portion. The size of the pizzas? Gigantic. Almost indecent. But that's exactly what makes it so appealing: you want more, more and more, until you sink into your chair completely satisfied, full and happy. The ambience? A feast for all senses. The quiet clinking of glasses, the sensual murmurs of the other guests – everything merges into an atmosphere in which you can let yourself go. Mega delicious pizzas. We were there on business. A bit chaotic but with Neapolitan charm. They are also fully booked during the week, which is surprising with such delicious pizzas.

There were three of us here and we ate pizza. The pizzas we ordered were delivered quickly and were very tasty. We were very satisfied with the service. We would be happy to come here again.

Went here on a recommendation. Despite the hectic pace, the reception was extremely friendly. The salad and the salad with beef were really great. Pizzas, ok, a little above average. What I personally didn't like, but where I don't deduct a star, is that the young waiter walks through the restaurant with his wallet with a "FCK-AFD" sticker on it. When we asked him about it...no comment. This is the first time I've seen anything like this since I've been going out to eat (over 40 years now). If the boss tolerates that, his business. We can also leave our money in other places. Politics no matter who or what doesn't belong in a bar, then they should make it known in a demo, that's my opinion.

There are a lot of people and the tables are too close. You have to shout over each other. Very noisy. Not suitable for a cozy meeting or a romantic dinner. People sit next to you on your things, because there is not even somewhere to hang them. Leaving the table is also difficult, the neighboring table is in the way.

Pizza was fresh out of the oven. Pizza is big and you can come here even when you're really hungry. Desert and coffee also taste good. Service was very good and we found a great place with our dog.

Food was very good, service was also quick and friendly. The ambience is fine, we were in the L'osteria in Günzburg and they thought it was nicer there but of course it is newer.

We ate at L’Osteria last Saturday, as we have done several times before. I really like the food there. I absolutely love the pizza and, in my opinion, it tastes excellent. Don't complain about the portion size either. My girlfriend ordered bruschetta for dinner and it tasted really good too. The only thing we don't really like is the ambience. Actually it's absolutely pleasant, but when you come at full house times it's just too tight for us. It feels like you're sitting at one table with the tables next to you. But that's really our only point of criticism. Otherwise we are completely satisfied!

That was nothing. Sparse antipasti plate with two slices of dry bread, a pizza that is more runny than crispy and, as a highlight, an absolutely rude waiter He then expresses his displeasure verbally on the guests when paying at the latest. That's not possible and that's why we will certainly not visit this location again and strongly advise other guests or interested parties not to do so

It is an Italian restaurant in Ulm. Located in the center of the city. It has a large room with plenty of tables. The tables a little low, but comfortable. The service is quick, as is the arrival of the food to the table. I ordered a non-alcoholic drink that was very good. Food, lasagna, excellent.

Pizza is partly raw, partly burnt. If "Italian pizza" is one of the UGLIEST, partly raw, partly burnt pizzas ever, then YES, you've come to the right place! Plus the prices are ridiculous.

You don't get noticed, I had to wait a long time at the door until someone let me in, some other customers simply ran out again because they didn't feel like waiting anymore. There was no bechamel sauce on the lasagne and it took 45 minutes for the food to arrive (we were 2 people), Ipanema tasted like gingerale diluted with water. We thought it was cheeky to then ask for €6 for it, the service was absolutely uncoordinated and simply not possible very accommodating, tips were left without being asked - a no go for us, we won't come back LG

Sunday 29Dec 8pm: Cliché service as you always hear in the service desert of Germany. Waiters look you in the eye and walk past. The service manager leaves you at the door and goes to have a smoke in front (!) of the restaurant. Empty tables but no one cares. When we arrive at the table, the waitress says it's too busy and she doesn't have time at the moment. Hello? After waiting 20 minutes we left. That's often the case in this restaurant. If you want a good pizza cheaply and don't care about service or waiting times, you can go there. But there are better alternatives in Ulm. 2 stars because the pizza is delicious (if you manage to order and it arrives at some point).

Nice restaurant with large and tasty pizzas.

The atmosphere is like a waiting room in a train station and the staff is unfortunately underground. Unfortunately I can't rate the food because we weren't served. We waited right at the entrance for a seat to be assigned to us. After about 5 minutes a waiter said that we should just sit at a free table. We sat there for 20 minutes without anyone being interested in us. We then left to look for another restaurant. There are probably too many cuts in staff here...it's a shame.

This is my absolute favorite pizzeria. If you don't get enough, you have another problem than the fact that there wasn't enough. The waitresses are really very friendly. However, it took a while for the pizzas to arrive and they weren't as warm as I expected (still 4 stars because of the wait staff). In terms of taste, the pizza wasn't high end, but it was very tasty. The size of the pizza quickly reminds you of the wheel of a monster truck. Yes, that's about right. It is also well documented. The price is absolutely fair for what you get. I don't think the ambience is that great right now. But that doesn't matter to me. What counts for me is cleanliness, friendliness, value for money and taste. As I said, my absolute favorite pizzeria.

The service was below all cannon, At first the waiting time was over 30 minutes. Until someone picked up the drinks. And then half of them were forgotten to serve. But otherwise food was okay.

I already know a few branches of this chain and they are almost all identical, but I missed a little bit of the kick and love when it came to the pizza toppings. The individual ingredients were a bit carelessly thrown into a pile and not well distributed. So the mushroom pile was soggy and didn't taste that good but overall it was ok. Compared to other branches, it tends to be in the lower midfield. In our case, the service was absolutely fine - the only thing that annoys me a bit is the "Americanization" with the tip being 10%, unfortunately I didn't pay attention to that. Overall, it's an average level that you can definitely visit again.

We've loved L'Osteria for a long time and always look forward to our beloved Rucola pizza! But today Chiara especially enchanted us with her wonderful, friendly manner and presence. Thank you, Chiara!

Well-attended pizzeria. The pizzas are very large and you can order them split with different toppings. However, the toilet was very dirty. You should clean up every now and then in a restaurant that is doing so well.

Great pizza that tastes really delicious, but the quality feels like it's going down a bit. Now I had to change my review again, every time you go there they tell you that something is no longer available. This time no more Diet Coke and no more chicken. Last time there were no onions and no olives. Who works in the warehouse? This is just bad organization!

We were served quickly even though the restaurant was full. The service staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was quickly at the table and delicious. Since the restaurant was very full, it was noisy so it was difficult to have a conversation, and it was also very hot there.

The food is really excellent, the prices are absolutely fair, and one dish really fills you up. Up until then everything was perfect. However, we had planned to celebrate a birthday and brought a cake for that. The person whose birthday was there didn't know about it - the cake was hidden the whole time to make the moment special. We had actually discussed this with another waiter beforehand: music should be played and the cake should be served with a candle. Unfortunately, the cake was simply placed on the table in a closed box - without music, without a candle and without any special moment. This completely ruined the surprise and the person immediately realized what was going on. That was really disappointing, especially because we put so much effort into planning this moment. What should have been a beautiful and unforgettable moment was unfortunately rather marred by it. It's a shame that the agreement wasn't kept.

Very rude! At the beginning we had coffee, which came quite quickly. Afterwards we waited for over an hour for our food, at some point we asked when it was coming and the service person said she would check, but then she went straight to the break and smoked outside the door... We weren't asked once if we wanted anything else want to drink, but were completely ignored. When we were finally able to order a sparkling water from a service person, it was simply forgotten and we waited 15 minutes for it in vain. We had to let them know again and then we got non-carbonated water... and the highlight was paying. We didn't want to tip at all, but since the pizza was okay, we wanted to give €2. The waitress saw that too, because the device was working, she then re-entered the amount and simply pressed the 10% tip. That was really the highlight, where is it possible for the service to choose its own tip, especially when she saw that we didn't want to give 10%. It was also very loud and stressful in the shop and some of the pizza had very little toppings... we definitely won't be coming back... the L'Osterias in other places are much better!

It's always a pleasure to be here. The service is really good for a large restaurant, the employees are very attentive and very friendly. We are frequent guests at l'Ostereia and everything that has been ordered so far has been really good in terms of quality, freshness, quantity and taste. Gladly again !

Excellent pizza and... great!!! I couldn't eat it all. The pasta is thin and not rubbery, the filling rich. The service is courteous and helpful. Convenient location, near the Münster. I highly recommend.

As is known from all other locations, the food was very tasty. The pizza is actually one of the best. Unfortunately, the only thing that can be criticized is the service. The girls there either fundamentally lack an overview of the location or are completely listless. The plates are taken away as you put the last bite into your mouth. The glasses are served glowing warm from the dishwasher - into which you should pour yourself the iced tea and the leftovers that you want to take with you are joined on the plate by all the cutlery and use napkins from the people sitting at the table. A “standard” friendliness is here despite being clear! Utilization is absolutely lacking. It's a shame because the food is really delicious. We will come back, but with the hope that this lady in particular will not be on duty.

We have already been to a few L'Osterias across Germany. To celebrate my birthday, the two of us came to L'Osteria in Ulm. Despite reservations, we had to wait in line outside for a long time and were jostled and jostled from all sides. When we were finally brought to the table, it was so loud because of all the people that we couldn't talk the whole evening. I ordered an iced tea and realized when I tried it that it was the Zero iced tea. When asked, they took a quick look and said the normal one was off. They should at least inform me about it and ask if I would like to drink something else instead of just serving something wrong! After 40 minutes of waiting, an appetizer (bruschetta) was brought. We've never eaten anything so salty and that's why we left almost everything alone. Then my main course was brought even though my starter wasn't even there! When I asked, they brought everything at once. It's extremely uncomfortable to have to eat 4 dishes at the same time on this small table. Of course, everything was cold and it didn't taste particularly good. We were used to completely different things from other L'Osterias. I was so disappointed and just wanted to leave, but that also turned out to be difficult because we had to wait a long time for the bill. This is definitely not how we imagined my birthday would be :-(.

The pizza is absolutely amazing! I love the Cesare e Polo, but all the others are good too as the dough is thin and crispy. The downside here are the drinks. Either too little or no carbon dioxide in it, or sometimes too much. The art of setting up a tap system has not yet arrived here.

We were a guest on Saturday evening after shopping...probably like many others...an advance reservation is absolutely necessary here in order not to stand on your feet...of course this restaurant is very busy, but I found the hosting unstructured...maybe that was the case also at our seat, as we were constantly exposed to the hustle and bustle of the employees. The service was friendly, but only present with a very long delay, due to the high number of guests. This is where management is called upon to do justice to the situation. Of course, service employees are difficult to find, but many temporary workers are no better than people with less technical experience. The food was good and a lot, as you would expect from this restaurant... the salad I ordered wasn't enough for me for the price... but very tasty... despite all the criticism, we will come back... it's just a restaurant right in the center
