Our orders were taken quickly and arrived at the table quickly. I had a pizza, my mother a salad, and my brother spaghetti Bolognese. I have no complaints about the pizza. Very tasty and typical Italian. Thin crust, good toppings, typical Italian. Unfortunately, the pasta was very oily. Unfortunately, we can't recommend the salad, as it apparently had no taste. The location: Very nice with a great beer garden, but also very good options for indoor seating.

The food is adequate. The ambiance is very rustic and not very high-quality. The biggest negative, however, is the service, which suffers from a lack of friendliness. I didn't feel welcome.

5 stars everywhere, except for the ambiance. It was a Thursday night and it was so busy that it was difficult to have a conversation. But the rest of the place was really great! The food was so delicious! It was also reasonably priced. For two drinks, salad, pizza, and dessert, it was under €40. I'd definitely go back!

Honestly, I don't understand the reviews. The soup tasted like it came from a can, and the pizza, although fresh, still had a frozen flavor. Furthermore, the staff was anything but friendly. The only really positive things were the lovely beer garden and the cold drinks.

The wellness oasis in Friedrichsau. The pre-Christmas decorations are stylish and by no means over the top. Service is unfussy and very friendly. The food (Pizza Anatra 🦆, duck breast) was excellent. The dog comedy is worth a visit. PS: Squirrels unfortunately have to stay outside...

Everything was very good. The beer garden was excellent.

Despite the lunch menu, I was charged the full price for the pizza. I was told I had to ask for it extra and that changes weren't possible! Not very customer-friendly, be careful!👎😬

The pizza was bad. I didn't like the dough or the sauce. The pasta was tasteless, unsalted, and had few ingredients. Buy it boiled from the supermarket and top it with tomato sauce.

With small children, we got a table where you could see both the restroom and the kitchen at the same time. I don't blame them. It wasn't nice either. The staff were very busy and quick. The pizza was good. Mine was okay. My husband wasn't satisfied. It's okay to go there, but maybe it's better in summer temperatures.

We had a lovely girls' night out. And our waiter, Tobi, was super friendly. We'd love to come back.

We had a good time until it was time to pay. The waiter (owner) is a very rude person who only cares about money. We actually wanted to give him a 3 euro tip, but he told us, "I don't want the 3 euros, give me 7 euros and no less." He forced us to pay an 8 euro tip and told us he didn't want to see us in the restaurant again. It's a disgrace; this is the first time in my life that a restaurant owner has treated me like this.

Delicious pizza under old trees. The service was a bit slow. If I'm going to employ students, they should also be trained in workflows that the guests recognize and appreciate... 👍😩😉

Great location in a large park. It's friendly but a bit loud and hectic, especially in summer. The pizza is excellent. Unfortunately, the Caprese was a bit lackluster. The tomatoes were unripe and the menu was modest, and all for €10. Prices are generally on the high side.

Good staff is hard to find in the restaurant industry. You can see the effects in the dog comedy – not a comedy, more of a bad joke. In any case, we didn't have much to laugh about today. Okay, we probably had bad timing, as there was also a big birthday party going on. The "friendliness" of the staff signaled to us that we were more of a nuisance than welcome. That was understandable, as the staff was obviously already a bit overwhelmed without us. If I, as a host, expect a large group but don't have the necessary staff, I may have to overcome my greed and close to walk-in customers. Period. Our requests and inquiries received strange answers: The waitress didn't know whether the mixed salad included carrot salad. Apparently, there wasn't a medium mineral water available. Then S. Pelegrino arrived at the table – the mother of all medium mineral waters, so to speak. Our 3-year-old prefers pasta without sauce? Apparently, there was only penne. Linguine or tagliatelle without sauce wasn't possible. The "Bolognese" is served with spaghetti (sic!), but it doesn't deserve any better – after all, it's more of a tomato sauce with a bit of minced meat and had as much in common with a ragù Bolognese as a hot dog has with a beef Wellington. The pizza tonno and salad, also eaten at the table, were good. My tagliatelle with strips of beef fillet and mushrooms was actually really good and worth the money. The meat could be shared with a fork and spoon, so it was wonderfully tender. The completely unsuccessful finale was later, dessert. The cappuccino arrived cold and with collapsed foam – probably revenge for being ordered in the afternoon. There were ice crystals in the iced coffee from actually frozen coffee. One ice cream we ordered didn't arrive at all, and once a brownish, grayish (presumably) coffee ice cream came instead of vanilla. Then we waited. We asked for the bill again. We were informed that our waiter was responsible for 70 people, so we should be patient. But when we saw our waiter setting the afternoon coffee table for the 70-person birthday party—it looked as if we could pay when he was finished—that was enough for us. There was a halfhearted apology when we paid, but not even an attempt at any kind of compensatory gesture—you know what I mean. Conclusion: Despite the beautiful surroundings, we probably won't be back anytime soon.

Pizza delicious, service fast and friendly

Immersed in a beautiful park that frames a place, the cuisine is Italian, I recommend it.

The wood-fired pizza is great. A starter plate for two is enough for three or four. Prices are okay, although fish, meat, and grilled octopus are a bit more expensive, but absolutely reasonable. Kids can play outside and have several dishes to choose from. Unfortunately, gluten-free food isn't available, but you can bring your own.

The taste lived up to expectations—nothing special, but not bad either. The price is therefore justified. Service is friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the ambiance is rather unattractive—some of the tables are slightly dirty, and the entire outdoor area looks a bit neglected. While the location in the middle of the park is still nice, they could do much better.

A busy restaurant with a beer garden. The pizza and salads were very good, and the service was pleasant and friendly. It was good value for money. You can take a walk along the Danube before or after your meal. It's also easily accessible by tram.

The pizza was too salty for my taste. I ordered the Margherita, Speciale, and Quattro Stagioni, all of which were salty and had a bitter aftertaste.

Despite the large number of guests, the food was ready quickly and was also very tasty. Props to Tobi for the excellent service; I'll be back.

Lockal is located in the beautiful park next to a great playground. Can be combined with a trip. We ate pizza and it was great! It is pleasant to sit in the beer garden. We were served quickly, despite being busy. For groups or larger families it is worth reserving in advance.

There are plenty of staff, but the customer isn't the focus. You wait – and it's an excessively long wait: from checkout to the bill, regardless of whether you have small children or not. Conclusion: The service staff seem overwhelmed, even though there are enough employees. The customer suffers from the poor organization and definitely doesn't feel like royalty. The food is average at best – I see no reason to repeat this "experience."

The pizza is great. Almost 100% like in Italy. The service was super friendly; I'll visit the restaurant again as soon as I'm back in Ulm. Thanks for the delicious food!

In the middle of the countryside on the edge of Ulm - easy to park and good to eat - friendly and personal service. Recommended! Unfortunately, there is nothing to read about the old dog comedy itself - if you look, you will find: it's worth it...

The four of us came this afternoon without a reservation and actually expected not to get a seat. But we were lucky. We ordered two small salads, 3x pizza and 1x pasta. Due to a misunderstanding, 4 pizzas arrived. However, this was immediately remedied and I was able to enjoy the great pasta. The pizzas were also very good. Thanks for the great service! Due to the proximity to the SSV Ulm hockey field, we will definitely come back.

PIZZA from wood oven. Super tasty. The menu is not too big and there are changing daily specials. Important: Reservation recommended. When the restaurant is full, the service has to work hard. Which then affects the waiting time. But otherwise really great place.

After making a reservation, we dined there with a group several evenings. The service was quick and unobtrusive, as you would expect. The food is typically Italian and not tailored to the tastes of German tourists. They usually only know the dishes that have been adapted to their taste in tourist strongholds. Especially on Friday there were groups of Italians there who usually only eat in restaurants where authentic Italian dishes are served. Drink requests were received very quickly and dishes were ordered with a reasonable delay. These came to the table at the same time regardless of the order. This shows that the kitchen is very well organized. The staffing situation in the catering industry is very tense everywhere in Germany because many people want to go out, but Germans are generally not prepared to serve other people in the evenings or on weekends. If there were problems in the dog comedy, you should ask about the background and not just judge it negatively. Our group (15 people in varying numbers) will definitely be back next year when we are active again at the nearby trade fair. About my background: Until the end of June, I worked in order acceptance for a fruit and vegetable wholesaler on the Lower Rhine for more than 25 years and know many kitchens and chefs. I am very familiar with the problems of the hotel and catering industry with the ever-expanding, impractical requirements.

Best Italian in the city and surroundings. Food is excellent. Today I had Tagliatelle Salmone. The salmon was smoked or fried in some form and tasted excellent with roasted aromas. The staff is attentive and friendly. The few bad reviews are from people who expect the impossible here without a reservation during the season. It's clear that after a football game the place is packed.

Top pizza, we were nearby and ordered pizza and took it away. It took less than 10 minutes and was still hot and delicious when I got home. Let's do it more often :)

We booked a table at short notice for the following evening and got it. Smooth and friendly on the phone. The food was great. Starters and main courses were perfect and arrived in a timely manner. The service was very friendly and helpful, the restaurant was nice and clean. It was really fun to be able to enjoy the food prepared with love. The price was also very good. Highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

We were there several times with our friends. Everything worked fine then. Four weeks ago we wanted to redeem a voucher for 40 euros and we were told that they would no longer redeem it. Reason: change of tenant...they would have redeemed it by the summer, but not anymore. The service didn't work either...starter salad came after the main course...then even twice...at the next table the starter came at the same time as the main course... SO all vouchers that are from last year or older are worthless. This is how you scare away your customers...we won't go there anymore.

A really great beer garden/restaurant in the middle of a beautiful park in Ulm. We first visited the zoo and then went to the Italian restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was very good and friendly. A few meters further there is a great playground. Only the ambience could be a little nicer. But it didn't bother me much. We felt very comfortable. We had a very nice day in Ulm.

There were 10 of us there and everyone enjoyed it (7 pizzas, 3 pasta dishes). The service was also very nice and quick. Only the desserts we ordered were forgotten and had to be reminded.

Nice restaurant in Friedrichsau, a great playground around the corner. Everything is shady, children can move around a bit. The food is fresh and ok, the pizzas are tasty, but unfortunately there is no dressing on the salad as is typical in Italian restaurants. We also waited a long time before we were even served. In addition, something was forgotten in the order. However, it was also a Sunday evening and very crowded. It was ok, but none of us were blown away by it.

Very tasty pizza for a fair price. The toilets smell very bad and there is no small playground or anything like that for the children.

Really great food. I just think the pizzas are great and they come straight from the wood oven! The ambience in the park is quite cool but the furniture etc. could use some updating. Oh yes, the tiramisu is to die for!!!

A farewell party took place in the dog comedy. The food was perfect, the service was understaffed, which meant longer waiting times for individuals and it was not possible to eat together. The waiting time also applied at the end when paying. On the whole, the dog comedy is highly recommended!

Yesterday we ate there on the occasion of our daughter's graduation from school. Unfortunately, nothing went well: the service wasn't particularly friendly right from the start. The pasta came when we hadn't finished the appetizer yet. The two pizzas took almost an hour to arrive. When asked, they said there was a large group who were just getting their pizza. Maybe you could have said when ordering that the pizza would take a long time, then we would all have ordered pasta. Then pizza was served at the neighboring tables, whose guests had arrived later than us. When asked, the waitress was incredibly responsive, saying we would stop her from working and we could be a bit friendlier. Then the pizza was finally brought, completely burnt on the edge and not really cooked in the middle. The explanation for the badly burnt edge was the wood oven, in any case nothing could be eaten from the edge. No apology, just an offended waitress. I'll leave it open now as to whether the gastrointestinal pain and other symptoms my daughter and I experienced this evening came from here. A very disappointing graduation experience!
