The service was much more attentive on my last visit.

We spontaneously decided to go out for dinner and we weren't disappointed. The pizza was delicious and the service was fantastic! If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely stop by!

Very child-friendly. Even though it was really crowded, the waitress came and brought the children something to color without hesitation. 💞💞

We were at this restaurant on Friday. I made a mistake with my order and only noticed it shortly before it was ready. No problem at all, and I simply reordered. The pizza was the best I've ever had, and the pasta was delicious too. I'll definitely be back.

Extremely poor service. We had made reservations for four adults, a child, and a baby with a stroller. Even though we were only five minutes late, our table had already been given away. We only got a new table after 20 minutes. We had to move the stroller further away, after which the staff member explained that we hadn't booked with a stroller—which we had. She then said we should have called, because "a phone always works." Very unfriendly. Finally, a 10% tip was mandatory when we paid.

It was really nice that I could still get such a delicious pizza at just before 10 pm while my electric car was being charged next door.

Very crowded and therefore noisy. Despite having a reservation, I was only assigned a toilet seat or a high table.

I ordered the "amore special" for pickup earlier, only to discover that half of my order was missing. It wasn't such a good pizza after all. No one answers the phone either...

I happened to be at L'Osteria Mönchengladbach that same evening and witnessed this group. Honestly, this complaint is complete nonsense. The group behaved unbearably—loud, disrespectful to the service staff, and anything but friendly. It was so unpleasant that we even moved to another table so we could eat in peace. I saw with my own eyes how patient and calm the staff remained despite being treated so abusively. I have the utmost respect for that! The service was friendly, the food was great as always, and the team did a fantastic job despite this difficult situation. Reviews like this are simply unfair to people who make an effort and remain professional, even when guests misbehave.

Unfortunately the service has deteriorated considerably recently. In an empty restaurant where only about 20% of the tables were occupied, we were forced to sit at a table we didn't want. When we expressed that we didn't want to sit there, the waitress tried to tell us that everything was reserved. After 9 p.m. in the evening!!!!! What does the lady think? If two men with dark hair come in, that they're scum and she can explain everything to them and they're forced to accept it?? When you express your wishes as a guest, the ladies become even more cheeky. If some of the waitresses can't get along with non-Germans, they should perhaps consider whether they're in the right place. I've been coming to Losteria for years, unfortunately I can't give the service any points. Losteria is a service desert.

Pleasant shop, service was a bit irritable but still consistent. The food was absolutely satisfactory... I just found it a bit noisy... If I'm ever in the area again, I could easily imagine eating here again while my car is charging at the Ionity charging station right in front of the restaurant.

First time there... never again. Service was inattentive, you just feel rushed off. He asked us if we enjoyed our meal... I said... yeah, it's fine. No one asked what was wrong. I had a salami pizza. It hung over the plate onto the table despite the placemat. When serving, the waiter had the cheese from my pizza on his down. Disgusting. Tables were extremely close together, uncomfortable, loud, and not at all nice. All in all, just terrible and not recommended at all.

My wife and I recently visited L'Osteria in Mönchengladbach and were completely thrilled! We'd especially like to highlight our waitress, Alexa, whose friendliness, smile, and positive attitude made the entire visit a truly memorable experience. You can immediately tell she's passionate about her job – she truly stands out from the rest! (She even remembered us :D On our second visit 3 days later, thanks for telling us your names.) The service was overall excellent, attentive and quick, without being intrusive. The prices are absolutely fair, especially considering the great service and the quality of the food. The dishes were delicious and well-balanced – you can tell the love that goes into the cooking here. The pizzas, in particular, are an experience and I highly recommend them. The ambiance is also impressive: cozy, stylish, and pleasantly quiet – perfect for enjoying a lovely evening. We'll definitely be back and can only warmly recommend L'Osteria Mönchengladbach! 🍝🍕😊

We decided to stop by L'Osteria for the first time on a whim and were seated right away, even though it was very busy. The starter and main course were delicious and plentiful. The service was very friendly and prompt. Thank you for the pleasant visit.

The food always tastes good; the selection is limited to pizza, pasta, and salads, with the exception of seasonal side dishes. The pizza, pasta, and dessert are all excellent. I find the salads a bit too small for the price, but they're usually quite good. The pasta dishes aren't huge, but they're just about okay, and they're fresh and delicious. The pizzas are very large, offer a variety of toppings, and are very tasty. The service is usually good, but due to the size of the restaurant, you can definitely feel the stress of the waiters. Despite that, you don't wait long for your food. The noise level is very high during peak times, so you have to be prepared for that.

Lunch, of all things. Everything was fine! Recommended!

On the way back from Holland, we stopped at L'Osteria in Mönchengladbach for lunch. Everything was just right: food, service, atmosphere, and value for money. We received a friendly welcome without a reservation and were shown a nice table. We ate well and then moved on. We'd happily return.

This time it was very busy; the kitchen could barely keep up. Spaghetti and penne al forno is Italian brunch, and it's a matter of taste. 🤷‍♂️ Service was excellent. With the large number of guests, it got quite loud in the large room. You've probably heard that at places like Café de Sol.

The food was truly exceptional. The pizza was overwhelmingly large, the pasta a bit small, but everything was there: garlic oil, a pepper mill, and extra Parmesan cheese. The ambiance and location were also very nice. A bit pricey for a student budget, but you can treat yourself. There's a bit of an echo in the restaurant, but it had a certain flair. I liked it. I would go back to L'Osteria, especially to this location.

It was truly amazing at L'Osteria! The spaghetti arugula e pomodorini was delicious, fresh, light, and perfectly prepared. A big thank you to our waitress Christine, who was incredibly sweet and attentive. It was just the right place to celebrate a friend's birthday. We'd love to go again!

The three of us went out for dinner. We were greeted very warmly by the manager, Jessica, and shown to our table. Our very friendly waiter for the evening, Mo, immediately arrived. We had a very good meal and received excellent advice and service. We always enjoy coming here and can only recommend it to everyone.

As always, we received a very friendly welcome and excellent service from start to finish. Our server, whose name is Mo, did a great job. He was very courteous and served us excellently. He gave us good tips and was super friendly. The manager and Jessica, the manager, also welcomed us very warmly. You always feel very well looked after at L'Osteria in Mönchengladbach. The food was excellent; we had the pumpkin seed soup and the pumpkin seed risotto, which were also delicious. Our pizza parmigiana with prosciutto crudo was also delicious. The dessert, tiramisu with pistachio cream, was delicious and I highly recommend it. We always enjoy coming here. Our dog even got water right away, because they always think of their four-legged friends here. Thank you very much for the lovely evening.

FOR THOSE WHO ARE EXCITED ABOUT THE BEST ITALIAN CUISINE IN GERMANY... clearly, you haven't been going anywhere else... and now for my impressions. We were hungry recently and were supposed to stop going there. I gave in to my fiancé's persuasion... to the point that he threw up after eating THEIR WONDERFUL alla pizzas, and I was just enjoying my wine... thank god it was cold... the waitress asked if anything tasted good, and after my honest answer, she apologized for it... but I said it wasn't her fault, she's a waitress and she represents herself well, but what comes out of the kitchen isn't her fault... she apologized anyway... and what about the atmosphere? The screaming, the shouting... etc... worse than McDonald's. Cheers, I won't be back... ciao

Yesterday, four of us had lunch at L'Osteria and were fortunate enough to be served by Janina E. From the very first moment, it was clear that someone here truly cares for their guests. Janina struck exactly the right tone: attentive but never intrusive, humorous without seeming silly, and advisory without being preachy. This makes you feel completely at ease and in good hands. We would especially like to highlight her recommendations – two out of three dishes were chosen based on her advice and were absolutely the right choice. A restaurant visit stands or falls with the service, and Janina made us feel as if we were the only table in the entire restaurant. This kind of hospitality and service orientation is unfortunately not a given these days and therefore deserves high praise. The food was also very good, solid quality, served quickly, and absolutely perfect for a relaxed lunch. But what really made our visit special was Janina. With her commitment and positive attitude, she transformed a normal restaurant visit into an experience. Our conclusion: Good food, exceptional service – a big thank you to Janina E.! Please maintain this high standard. We'd love to come back!

Authentic Italian pizzas. Paper-thin and 45cm, so very large. A bit more expensive than the German average; expect to pay €15-20 for a pizza.

We arrived around lunchtime and found the restaurant busy. Those looking for comfort are in the wrong place; the seating is quite uncomfortable. We found the service impatient and hectic. The pizzas we ordered were enormous, but very lightly topped, and therefore expensive. For us, it's not our favorite Italian restaurant.

The staff was very nice and friendly. The food and drinks arrived quickly and tasted excellent. The value for money was excellent.

Let's start at the beginning. We arrived quite spontaneously with 12 people. The table was prepared, and after a short wait, we were seated. The drinks were delivered quickly, and our food order was taken quickly. Then it would take another 60 minutes for our food to arrive. When we asked about it, the restaurant manager became extremely rude and tried to tell us all we had only waited 30 minutes. The conversation with this gentleman escalated quite quickly, and he became loud. A friendly colleague had to mediate. But any understanding or even an apology for the long wait? Absolutely not. Unfortunately, never again as long as this gentleman is the restaurant manager.

We're from Luxembourg and were at the stadium, having never been there before. Google recommended the Osteria to us. I can only recommend it. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere, the food was very good and of good quality. We will definitely go there again.

I ordered several dishes online from L'Osteria Mönchengladbach. The delivery took over an hour, but the two pizzas were completely missing from the order. This was particularly annoying for us, as we had invited guests and were left without the main course. Furthermore, I get the impression that you are completely irresponsible when it comes to online orders.

We placed a large order worth around €300 for a team event. Unfortunately, the order processing itself was very tedious: There was no timely confirmation of whether the order had been received – despite repeated inquiries. On the day of pickup, three dishes were simply forgotten. The meals had been ordered in a well-structured manner, and even when inviting guests, they actively asked whether everything was complete – yet the error went unnoticed. The subsequent communication was disappointing: An email stating that a personal return trip on the same day was not possible was only answered after 72 hours. Instead of being solution-oriented, the customer was blamed for the error – completely inappropriate for goods of this magnitude. The quality of the food was also disappointing. A Caesar salad, for example, consisted only of green salad, dressing, and croutons – no trace of the advertised hard cheese. Overall, a disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this provider for larger orders or team events.

The best Losteria shop in North Rhine-Westphalia has to offer. The bread was oven-fresh, something I've never had at other Losterias. Compliments!

It was a very disappointing visit to this restaurant. When we arrived, we found three tables without reservation signs and sat at one of them. After more guests arrived, and while the waiter was speaking in a low and rude tone to the staff member taking notes, we were told that the table we were sitting at was reserved. We had to move, and the only place where I could see my son while he was playing in the playground was in the sun, while our drinks had already warmed up. Meanwhile, three ladies sat at a table that had been empty, and a family moved to the table where we had just been. When I asked the waiter why this happened, even though the tables clearly didn’t have reservation signs, he tried to justify the situation. The long delays affected not only our dessert but also simple requests like water. On top of that, an extra Prosecco was brought, even though I don’t drink alcohol, and we also had non-alcoholic beer to go with our pizzas, as well as drinks for the children. Overall, I was very disappointed with the service and the entire experience.

The boss of LOsteria is really racist and he is totally disrespectful to foreigners, we will never go there again.

I always enjoy visiting L'Osteria in Mönchengladbach. I'm always delighted. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. The food is always delicious! Thank you for the lovely evenings with you.

But the prices don't seem particularly cheap at first, and the pizzas are huge, but above all, they're super delicious, made with thin crusts and fresh ingredients. I think Losteria is one of the best Italian restaurants in MG. It's quite loud inside, but just enough for two or three people to chat. It's best to make reservations on weekend evenings.

I always enjoy coming here. I was there again today with a friend, and everything was perfect again. The staff is super friendly, the food is always delicious, and one of my favorites is the creamy coffee ❤️

However, the service and the food are Losteria's hallmarks. Therefore, I can recommend it without hesitation.

I've been here twice now, before a Borussia Dortmund home game. Both times, it took a very long time for our food to arrive. There were three of us and we were given a small, round table. It was impossible to eat three pizzas properly at that table. Another guest said, "Watch out, your pizza will fall down." We'd already left our drinks on the floor. When we asked, it wasn't possible to get a larger table, even though they were available. The reason: reserved. While we were there, no one honored the reservation.

The pizza is very large, but that's due to the much too large, untopped crust. This made my pizza too dry, so I left the crust alone. What a waste. If the crust weren't so excessively wide, it would have been a perfectly normal, regular-sized pizza. The server (Maria) was great, very friendly, nice, and strong-willed; our group certainly wasn't the easiest.
