I was in Mainz on October 20, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. and ate pizza here with my son. I don't want to ignore three things here. 1. Pizzas were much too thin (I would rather call them tarte flambée) and it was almost impossible to cut through the pizzas with a knife, i.e. thin and hard/dry and I wasn't completely full either...! 2. Side dish of salad was a joke, it cost €2.90 but something like that isn't too puny. 3. If you pay with it, the display will show > tip 10% / 15% / 20% or no tip. I don't think that's a good way to tip. It has to be voluntary and not some percentage. Sorry, I won't go back, it was too much of a negative experience for me.

Lobsteria is a great spot to unwind after an event! I came here with a large party after a basketball game, and even though it was close to closing time, they graciously seated us inside and served us without any rush. I tried Gnocchi for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly soft and flavorful. Also, the BBQ Chicken Pizza was mouthwatering! The service was impressive given our group size and the late hour, and we never felt like we were being hurried out. I’d definitely recommend Lobsteria for both the food and the accommodating service!

Always nice to eat there. Even with a large family you can afford a great meal there. The only drawback is if you have a table at the front of the entrance door it is very drafty. The chairs are also very cold and unfortunately without cushions. The couch area is also very cold to sit on. Nonetheless, it is a great restaurant with great service and food.

Me and my friend went to Losteria Mainz. The food was super tasty, only the pizza was said to please cut through, but you can't see it and it's difficult to eat. The service was not friendly and very inattentive. The toilets also smelled and almost all hygiene items were empty. A tip, it's better to make a reservation for dinner, online was super easy.

My visit to L’Osteria was very good overall, but what really made the evening special was the service from the waitress Sena. What struck me as particularly positive was that when the restaurant was busy, she always had an overview. I was particularly impressed by how well she responded to our special requests. She took the time to go through the ingredients carefully for my friend who has intolerances and recommended alternatives. This personal touch made the evening even better. Not only was she quick, but she was also very attentive, without us ever feeling like things were getting too hectic. Conclusion: The food at L’Osteria was delicious, but thanks to Sena the evening was really pleasant. You can't find service like this everywhere, and a BIG THANK YOU!

Losteria offers authentic Italian cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. The homemade pasta was perfectly al dente, and the fresh taste of the ingredients was completely convincing. The service person Sena was warm and attentive and responded to special requests. A place I will definitely visit again!

We were eating there in a larger group. Despite being busy, the food didn't take long to arrive and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, even after mentioning it three times, a drink was forgotten. This wasn't charged for, but it was still annoying. In addition, there was always a very foul and unpleasant smell in the air in a certain area of ​​the restaurant... we couldn't explain where it came from. But in itself it was a mood killer for the food.

We spontaneously decided on L`Osteria. There was temporarily no seat available for us (there were two of us). We were told if we wanted to wait at the bar for 10-15 minutes something would become available. That's how it was... After 10 minutes we had our seat, a delicious wine and the super friendly staff served us from front to back. We made reservations for our anniversary last week. Arrived today, the store was very full. When we registered, we noticed that the waitress was slightly overwhelmed. She asked a colleague where our table was, then came up to us: "It's your anniversary." Unfortunately she can only offer us a table at the kitchen or in the tent. My husband and I sat very uncomfortably at the table near the kitchen for 5 minutes and then decided to leave the restaurant. They are both very disappointed to have received such a service despite making a reservation on time with a note on the anniversary. There will be no second visit for us.

I order the same Caesare Pollo pizza every time.The size of the pizza does not change, it is still large, but the amount of chicken, cheese and sauce has become much smaller.This has been 3 months.There are no questions about the service, the waiters are smiling and pleasant. Children always have something to do.

Super friendly reception at the entrance, even though we were early and there was one more person than registered, we were quickly rescheduled and made it possible. It has to be said: the store was packed! I think the prices are more than fair for Mainz standards and this is also shown by the high number of satisfied visitors. Service and food were great, unfortunately there are only 2 mini heaters in the tent, which are no longer sufficient in the colder temperatures.

Yesterday we ate here again for a long time. We had reserved for 7 people. And a table was assigned where it would have been impossible to sit with 7 adults, with the children it was just the same. Furthermore, we were more or less told how we should sit down at the table so that the waitress could get through. The waitress was busy, but she was nice and very attentive. The atmosphere is otherwise very “exhausting”, the music is very loud and no conversation is possible. The food came in a reasonable time. The others' pizzas were very good as always. My spaghetti carbonara was not comparable to other L'Osterias, unfortunately just dry (without sauce) and still greasy, as if it had already been kept warm for 30 minutes until the pizzas were ready. I let them go back and to be fair I didn't pay. All in all, we probably won't be back anytime soon.

Osteria Mainz are you serious??? Rocula rotten, ice cold, unbaked, topping careless. We were used to better things.

I was traveling to Mainz for work and reserved the table at L'Osteria online in advance (great solution). This was also a good idea since almost all of the indoor tables were reserved. At the entrance you may have to wait briefly to see which table you are assigned. The decor is simple, but perfectly fine for an Italian restaurant. I can't say anything about the sanitary facilities as I haven't visited them. The staff is very friendly. If the store is full you have to wait a bit, but that's the case almost everywhere. You don't have to wait longer for your food than in other restaurants. I reserved the table at 6 p.m. and had my giant pizza served at 6:17 p.m. I've never had a pizza this big anywhere before. Cutting it is almost impossible on the smaller plate, but you won't be looked at stupid if you eat the pizza slices with your hand. In terms of taste it was very good, there was enough filling and the base was wafer thin and at €16.95 it was a justified price. All in all, a visit to L'Osteria is recommended. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely come back again.

Of all the L'Osteria Pizzaria, this was the worst. The food was great but the service ignored us for 30 minutes after they picked up and brought our drinks. Some of them stood around at the reception talking and were on their cell phones. We made a reservation for a birthday but received no attention. We had to get a waiter's attention several times. The toilets were an absolute nonsense, scraps of toilet paper were spread across the floor, toilet seats weren't clean enough to sit down without worrying about. Of all the L'Osteria Pizzaria, this was the worst. It was extremely tight, you were essentially sitting at a table or on someone's lap with strangers. That's how tight it was. Large groups shouldn't sit in the middle (which was the case with us), we would have had to sit on the edge so that other guests could get through better come and not almost sit at the table with us or we with them. L'Osteria in Hagen (NRW) was great, the waiters were super nice and checked on you several times even though the shop was very full. L'Osteria in Bochum Ruhrpark (NRW) also has first class service. L'Osteria in Mainz at the Roman Theater (Hesse) will never see us again. If you personally come from the catering industry and look at the place in Mainz and compare it with the others, you will be extremely disappointed and won't go back. It is better to hire other staff who also make something of the guests. Cleaning in the toilets must be extremely careful, that is the be-all and end-all.
