Simply delicious! The pizza at L'Osteria Mainz is a delight – crispy pizza base, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. Beautifully presented and a true feast for the palate! The service is attentive, friendly, and fast. And very easy to reach. The ambiance is cozy and pleasant.

Very disappointed in the customer service and the food, in particular my salad. This is the second time i had to pick out welk old old old salat leaves out of the salad. A quarter of the salad wasnt edible and as i adressed this to our waiter he said, thats how our salads arrive lately. So i said „ then the cook should make sure to pick out the welted leaves and not the customer. No sorry, no offer to replace it or anything in this matter. I was charged good 20 euro for my salad with mushrooms that were also untasty with no flavor and lots of water retaining. The beets also had lost their color. Last time for me going there.

We ate here the day before yesterday. The food came super quickly, and we all enjoyed it. The tortellini were a bit expensive for the amount, but they tasted very, very good! Highly recommended!

The food was great, the service took so long, the dessert wasn't even prepared, and the waiter has a strange way of comparing in Italian, for example, I had a latte macchiato at 8 p.m., his answer in Italian was, "I won't order something like that again at 8 p.m., never again... people, be careful, don't order a latte macchiato at 8 p.m., because you don't order something like that in Italy, but he's in Mainz, he can't even split the bill."

The service was super friendly and took good care of our table. The pizza is really great for the price, and even for the 45cm diameter. A definite recommendation if you're craving a great pizza. The coffee is also delicious!

It's good for a quick pizza. The pizza is wafer-thin and the crust is very hard—if you like that, you should go there. Prices are reasonable, the pizzas are huge, so we shared one. The chairs and bar stools are really uncomfortable. Respect to anyone who likes to sit here for a while! Service is super friendly and fast!

Twice the order was not delivered completely. Upon calling the restaurant they put the blame on UberEats that they did not pick it up correctly. UberEats puts the blame on restaurant for not correctly handing over the order to courier. So twice I am out of money with no food.

The food (risotto and maccheroncini) was okay, but nothing more. The delivery time of 2 hours and 30 minutes was absolutely unacceptable. It arrived lukewarm, and the delivery charge was six euros. Bottom line: thumbs down.

Well, either we had a bad day at L'Osteria or they're not up to it. Let's start with: we got a table quickly and then nothing happened for a long time. I think it was after 20 minutes before a friendly, young man took our order. We had two Sarti Spritzes which we both thought were a bit bland and not cold enough. For starters we had bruschetta - very tasty! Then came the main course: I had zoodels, i.e. zucchini spaghetti with prawns, and my friend had the summer salad melon e fragole. Now for the kicker... The salad had no dressing at all (the menu said lemon vinaigrette). We shared my meal and ate 90% of it before the vinaigrette arrived. The zoodels were very watery and had no flavor! The salad with the vinaigrette didn't blow us away either. The melon wasn't ripe, the strawberries with the stems looked great but I want to eat, not chop it up. This may sound petty, but we were a little annoyed that we couldn't eat together. All in all, it wasn't a particularly pleasant experience.

We stopped here because I'd personally had positive experiences with L'Osteria in Düsseldorf. In short: We were anything but satisfied. After being shown to our table, we were ignored for 20 minutes. We were already considering getting up and leaving when a waiter finally came to take our order. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, and there were at least eight waiters in the place, half of whom were doing nothing or were unnecessarily moving things from A to B. This made us even more confused. The place wasn't particularly clean. The restrooms were in terrible condition, and the floor in the restaurant itself hadn't been cleaned in a while. When the food arrived, the waitress slammed the pizzas onto our table without a word. In doing so, she knocked over a menu holder, which fell directly onto my pizza. An annoyed look followed, without an apology, and the waitress disappeared without a word. In the end, we had to call three times to pay. When someone finally came, the card reader was forgotten despite our request, and it took another five minutes for the waiter to return. To make matters worse, paying separately didn't work either, as the waiter was completely confused. In the end, we paid together and split the bill between us. However, based on our experience, this was our last visit, at least not to the Mainz branch.

I really like the extra-large pizzas with their exceptionally thin crusts. It's also a great way to combine a visit with a trip to the cinema. The staff are very friendly, and there's good parking.

Ever since I was a little kid I have loved pasta and pizza like every other child, I have eaten many types of pasta and pizza in Italy, Germany etc. But L’Osteria really is a place that satisfies me with both taste and service. The prices are s bit high for a student like me but every once in a while it’s a little treat for myself. It’s also a great place to bring friends and family, I advise you to make a reservation beforehand because you might not get a place to sit.

Nestled in a welcoming, family-friendly setting, this pizzeria offers a delightful experience for all ages. I had the pleasure of trying their classic pepperoni pizza, and it did not disappoint. The crust was perfectly crisp around the edges, providing a satisfying contrast to the rich, savory toppings. The pepperoni was generously layered, delivering just the right amount of spice and flavor. This spot strikes a fine balance between comfort and quality—highly recommended for anyone in search of a delicious, crowd-pleasing meal.

I ordered spaghetti al olio, and it was so spicy I couldn't eat it. It was my fault, because the menu stated it was a spicy dish. I ordered the same dish unseasoned and noticed a big difference in the spaghetti. The first ones were dehydrated and hard, looking like they'd been reheated. The second ones were perfect. Bottom line: I'll never order spaghetti again.

If you want to eat good pasta or pizza, this is the place to be. Price performance is good. Pizza huge and bigger than the plate. Drink selection. Staff friendly...so worth a visit

The service was friendly and attentive, making our visit enjoyable. That said, the pizza (while huge and visually appealing) could be improved. The crust was a bit doughy in spots, and the toppings lacked the bold flavors I’d hoped for. With a crispier base and more seasoning, it’d be perfect! Still, a solid spot for a fun meal out—I’d return for the pasta alone!

The pizza is, as always, very generous, the crust thin, just how we like it. We order the version with vegetables and arugula, but it seemed to be a lost sight of on the large pizza. The small pieces of vegetables could be counted on two hands, and we would describe the pile of arugula more as decoration. Our expectations from other restaurants were not met here; the wow factor was lacking. The salad, however, was okay. The service was average overall, not memorable. Conclusion for Mainz: We'll stick with our trusted Italian restaurant, which has never disappointed us.
