To be honest, eating at L Osteria is always a positive experience. Price performance is 100% right So after the pizzas you are really full, you can order extra toppings, which are not expensive considering the prices. As a couple you can also order a split pizza (see picture) on one half there is the topping your partner wants and on the other half there is the other topping you want (great concept and the pizza costs as much as the most expensive topping costs) There is a relatively large selection of drinks and there is also some non-alcoholic drinks. The service is very nice and the food always comes very quickly, without long waiting times (approx. 5-10 minutes), so you don't have to go hungry for long :) The ambience is also very commendable, very nicely decorated and in winter there is also the option to eat outside in an attached tent. Overall it's a very nice restaurant that I would recommend to anyone if you want to eat a large and good pizza or pasta for a fair price.

We have known L'Osteria for a very long time! Service, staff, reservations and service are top. Unfortunately, we missed the grilled vegetables from the menu when we ordered vegetarian pizzas. In other branches, especially in Allgäu, Munich and Wiesbaden, we always ate fried/grilled aubergines, peppers and zucchini slices on pizzas. In Mainz, however, there were only a few diced eggplants sprinkled on pizzas. We found this very strange. Maybe there aren't enough vegetables in Mainz!!😀 We think this is a shame! Otherwise we were very satisfied. The next time we visit Mainz, we will address this again in advance and pay attention to it. We wish the team continued success

Food was super tasty, the pizza was huge and the base was thin and nicely cross. The tortellini panna were fantastic, best panna I've had in a long time. The service was very friendly and not as intrusive as in other restaurants. The ambience was very nice, but there was a strange smell. Otherwise everything was great, I can only recommend it.

Here is a suggestion for your review: 5 stars I am absolutely thrilled! The food is excellent, especially the pasta - just a dream. The staff is friendly and attentive, especially when dealing with children. You feel completely comfortable and welcome here. I always enjoy eating here and can only recommend it to everyone!

Despite not having a reservation, we spontaneously got a table with a time of 1.5 hours! That was great! Then we were ignored for ages, the employees stood behind the counter and busied themselves with cell phones etc. The waitress lacked any kind of friendliness, which was a shame. No smile, no kind word. Sad. We also wanted to pay quickly, but we were once again ignored, which was a bit frustrating - here too, people preferred to chat with their colleagues behind the counter. It was 3:30 p.m. and it was extremely full, but the service should try not to make you feel like it was stressful.

I arranged to meet there for a date. Good 1 impression, although it's a bit crowded there, that speaks more for this location. Unfortunately, the chairs aren't very comfortable. But it's still very nice there, the waitresses are very nice, unfortunately in the end they overlooked my lady a little when she wanted another coffee, but it still worked out. Drinks, the price is totally okay, even with the pizza, which I have to say I didn't quite manage. They are really big for one person, but the pizzas are very tasty. All in all, me and my date felt very comfortable.

We made reservations online and everything went well. The pizza was huge and very, very tasty. The staff super friendly. The toilets left something to be desired, there was a very strong smell and it wasn't exactly clean. If we are in the area again, we would still be happy to come back. Thanks for the evening 🥰

L'Osteria is actually always a safe bet for a good pizza and a nice evening. In the early evening the volume is still okay, the later the louder. Unfortunately, almost everywhere in the guest room smells like a toilet. I've noticed this unpleasantly on all my visits there so far. I don't know whether this is a permanent or recurring problem. Service was very nice, empty glasses were sometimes overlooked for quite a long time. The pizzas are of course good, large, thin and tasty, but some creations lack the finishing touches or should be checked for quality. For example, the seasonal Gorgonzola pizza has pear on the pizza. These are just raw pear cubes, the pear isn't even ripe, you could make it a little more sophisticated and give the pear cubes a little stir beforehand or something like that. In the pizza with eggplant, most of the eggplant slices were not soft, but rather tough, so you could pay attention here too. But generally highly recommended.

We had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful restaurant and absolutely loved it. As soon as you enter, you will notice the cozy and inviting atmosphere - stylish and elegant at the same time. The service was extremely courteous and child-friendly. Particularly positive: Our children were immediately given crayons and paper, which created a relaxed atmosphere. The food was also excellent! Everything was freshly prepared and you could taste it. The food was not only high quality, but also attractively presented. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality offered. I recently had the pleasure of eating at L'Osteria in Mainz and it was a fantastic experience! As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by a pleasant, inviting atmosphere. The team is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable straight away. The menu offers a wide range of Italian classics, all incredibly fresh and delicious. The pizza in particular is a highlight - the thin, crispy base, the fresh ingredients and the perfect balance of flavors completely convinced me. But the pasta was also a delight - al dente, in a delicious sauce that was perfectly rounded off. What was also positive was the fast and attentive service. The staff is always committed to providing guests with a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is modern and cozy at the same time, ideal for a relaxed lunch or dinner. Another plus: the prices are absolutely fair for the quality of the dishes and the portions are generous - definitely good value for money! I can only warmly recommend L'Osteria in Mainz and am already looking forward to my next visit!

A very nice restaurant where you can also drink a delicious morning cappuccino. The service was incredibly friendly and a big compliment to the boss, who I was able to get to know for a short time. Visited this restaurant for the first time. The pizza is oversized so not for me. Pasta dish was average. Recommendation just something to fill you up.

The waitress who ordered the food had a cold attitude, and the paper on the table was torn. She didn't speak when she brought the pizza, probably because I didn't speak German. It's a bit sad for me. I ordered a beer and didn't give it, and I took it after being reminded, I don't know if it was because I forgot it or why. At the end a tip of 5 euros was given.

I've known the Osteria for a long time, the food is great and the friendly service make it a regular stop, especially because of the nearby cinema.

It's been a long time since we've eaten at the Osteria. At the beginning it was not very busy, but then it gradually changed and so did the noise level and loud music. It was just too loud. The service was friendly and attentive, but too quick in my opinion. The plates were cleared away even though people were still eating. Dessert was offered even though not everyone had finished the main course. I had the feeling the table would be needed again soon. My pizza was first mixed up and delivered to another table, and I also received the wrong one after complaining was replaced, which in my opinion wasn't right, especially since the pizzas had already been served. The pizza was cold and hard. All in all, not a relaxing evening and I don't think we'll be back any time soon.

I ordered a Burrata salad. It was spoiled. Unacceptable. Some staff were friendly and attentive. Others were rude. Anyway... Quality/price ratio was very expensive!! Dirty toilet, dishes, restaurant not clean at all. I will not be back.
