Staff is no go, the food was good, but we had to wait 45 minutes for noodles, which is not normal and the sauce was added 10 minutes later. Sushi was tasty, but a bit too cold, it also sat there for 10-15 minutes

The food was excellent and fully met our expectations. Unfortunately, there were some deficiencies in the service that somewhat marred our experience. Unfortunately, the dishes weren't served at the same time, so one of us was already finished while the other still had to wait for his dish. It would have been nice if we could enjoy dinner together. Nevertheless, the food remains great and the atmosphere was right. I hope that next time the service will be better organized.

The staff was extremely overwhelmed and disinterested. The main course came earlier than the starters, but even that was completely delayed so that we (three people) didn't get anything at the same time. The food itself was actually really tasty, but unfortunately at most lukewarm (or ice cold). Overall: nope, never again.

I rarely write reviews, but with this store it's a must. The service (Musti) welcomed us with a lot of love and the food was the cherry on the cake. I haven't had such delicious and fresh food in a long time.

Good food but a bit expensive for what you get. Sauces like Sriracha or Samabal Olek should be free on every table, but unfortunately you have to pay for them here.

Bad experience with service The food was OK but the service was a disaster. Since the management is no longer there, everything seems disorganized - almost like a kindergarten. We had to wait 15 minutes for the bill while the plates were still on the table. Instead of serving us, the waitress chatted with the chef in front of us. That was extremely unprofessional. Very disappointing as we have had better experiences before.

Lost Monk is the perfect place to meet up with your loved ones in a restaurant. The atmosphere allows you to have fun with your friends without disturbing others. The food not only looks good, but also tastes extremely delicious. The price ranges between €15-20, but is fair for the quantity and quality. Recommended especially for young people.

If I could I would give it six stars! Have to try a few more dishes but I think I have found my favorite Asian 🤤 I had the number 62, and simply authentic! 🙏👍

The starters were delicious, unfortunately the main course (curry with tofu) gave 3 people gastroenteritis. One person vomited on the spot, one person had severe cramps, and another person had problems all night long. Instead of an Asian salad, an iceberg lettuce came without anything. A main course came 15 minutes after the other dishes. The service was very friendly, but we would have liked at least the food to be reimbursed by the person who broke it on site (and only ate 2 spoons of the 15 euro dish). All in all, the evening was unfortunately a disaster.

The presentation of the food was very appealing and aesthetically successful, but unfortunately the taste could not keep up with the appearance. My dish had a strong chicken smell and was also not fully cooked. The makis were also not convincing in terms of taste; the seaweed was unusually thick and difficult to chew. Given the popularity and the high number of visitors to this restaurant, I had higher expectations, which unfortunately were not met. The shop is also very loud, so you can't enjoy the food in peace.

Food was delivered, the driver dropped it, the sauces leaked out, so far ok. Unfortunately the food, pasta with duck and salmon, was not edible. Noodles just weirdly sweet. Duck and salmon extremely dry even if it had been sitting for an hour. Overall, the food was marginal. For over €40 it's a disgrace.

We got a table in the evening without a reservation and with a short waiting time. Very friendly service. Mochi passion fruit is particularly highly recommended 👍 The price for 2 pots of tea, mochi and fried bananas is around €20

We were at Lost Monk for the second time (3 adults, 3 children). The food was super delicious. Our waitress Nagham was very patient and answered all questions, including special requests, very personable!!! The great thing about Monk is that everyone can find something to eat, whether sushi, udon or Thai, everything is represented and we had everything on the table. Even though the restaurant was full, we didn't have to wait long for our food. We'd love to come back!!!

We ordered a classic Pad Thai and Udon noodles there. Unfortunately, both dishes tasted like nothing! We think the sauces have been forgotten. I don't think that's possible for such prices. We ordered there for the first time because the store had very good reviews and we were very disappointed. We won't order there again!

Clearly 5 out of 5 stars!!! For me, Lost Monk is one of the best Asian restaurants in Cologne! The food is delicious, the service is great and everything is halal😻😻I would recommend always making a reservation in advance as the shop is extremely popular.

After the sushi we all had extreme stomach cramps and nausea for 2 days. There was also a cheeky and unfriendly dark-haired employee. Was there last time.

The waiters were overwhelmed and had to wait 20 minutes for our seat despite a reservation. My drink came with the main course after I had to ask for the fourth time. Unfortunately the sushi tasted very bad, I really can't understand the good reviews. Unfortunately, sushi is technically a flop. The noodles weren't tasty either. I had the breaded octopus as a starter, it really only tasted like breading and frying fat. The only positive thing was the ambience, it was nicely decorated and my drink, which came when I was almost finished eating.

Since we read a lot of positive things about the restaurant on Socisl Media, we made a reservation there. Unfortunately we weren't impressed with the food. The sushi rice was way too sweet and the sushi was dry. The sushi vinegar was extremely tasty. I love sushi and couldn't finish it. The plate dish, chicken with peanut sauce was o.k. The service was nice, but because the place was full it felt like it was on an assembly line and it was also very loud.

Unfortunately the restaurant is not a helal restaurant. But they advertise as a halal restaurant. Most importantly, you sell alcohol. There is never alcohol at a halal restaurant

We ate there for the first time today because we heard that it was very good there. Unfortunately we cannot confirm this at all, the service staff was very friendly, but it still took a long time to bring the food and drinks to the table. The cleanliness of the toilet is a disaster, so dirty. I also received a dirty glass where lipstick residue was clearly visible. Something like that shouldn't be allowed to happen. As for the food, the food was pretty tasteless and sometimes very dry. The sauce for the sushi rolls was extremely spicy, which unfortunately didn't taste good at all. All in all, we would unfortunately not visit this restaurant again and unfortunately cannot recommend it. Price-performance is far too expensive for the quality you get in the end. We paid €78 for 10 sushi rolls and 2 large bottles of water. (4 people).

This has been our favorite Asian for a long time. From the pasta dishes to the sushi, everything tastes really great. The service is also friendly. We were there for the first time because we discovered the shop via social media, as it is important to us that the meat is halal. Since then, no Asian in Cologne/Bonn has been able to keep up with the restaurant.

Went there for the first time yesterday and I have to say the price/performance ratio was top, whether it was sushi or curry, everything was delicious and the portion size was extremely good. The only thing I can complain about is the price of drinks because for 0.4 cola it costs almost 5 euros, otherwise everything is perfect

This was our third time here. Food tastes very good, especially the fried udon and the Lost Monk special with hoisin sauce. Portion sizes are large. Facility and service are fine. Nice location. Room for improvement: Noodles were just warm instead of hot.

The decor of the restaurant is simple, a bit very plain. The service was fine, the waiters were friendly. The sushi was great and the price-performance ratio is good in that respect. It's a good sushi spot for in between meals.

Based on the many good reviews, I expected more. My meal (75. BO XAO XA) was not “slightly spicy” as described but just completely salty. No trace of lemongrass. The other two dishes my companions served were okay, but also average at best. The staff was friendly, but not really organized (dishes that we didn't order came to our table, etc.). The atmosphere is more reminiscent of a fast food restaurant. The music (if you can call it that) was in constant competition with the cell phone sound from the tables next to us. This is really annoying, but the staff doesn't do anything about it. All in all it's not worth coming back.

The Tofu Wok, duck dishes, and sushi are all very good. However, I recommend avoiding the fried noodles—they were the worst I’ve ever tasted.

We had been eyeing the restaurant for a while because we really enjoy Asian food. The very good reviews made us curious. We ordered a total of 3 vegetarian dishes, which were beautifully presented, but were all very, very, very salty. These seemed not very authentically prepared (strong flavor enhancers? Sauces ready? Very greasy, artificial/strong soup smell) and ultimately led to severe stomach pains for both of us. The service seemed partly inexperienced but friendly. In terms of cleanliness (cards greasy, etc.) we weren't particularly impressed. We wouldn't visit the store again. Too bad

Even though I come from Frankfurt, this restaurant in Cologne is my absolute favorite! It offers an impressive selection of delicious Asian dishes that taste truly amazing. I have rarely eaten so well - our entire group was thrilled and the price-performance ratio was more than fair. Simply fantastic! Special praise goes to the service, especially to Taliya, who impressed us with her courteous and helpful nature. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Cologne - I'll definitely come back!

Unfortunately we have to agree with the previous comments. After months of positive experience, we had to have frightening experiences, as the comments below had already described perfectly. We also saw the mouse but didn't say anything about it because the drama had already started. Of course, the shop is right in the middle of Ehrenfeld, across the entire square. It can happen that something small goes around, but you should try to fix it. Such a reaction from the employee shows the unprofessionalism of the store, it is extremely embarrassing when guests speak to the employees about it, but such a disrespectful and impudent answer is in our opinion the bottom drawer. My wife and I really have to say that the store is no longer what it used to be. Whether it's the staff or just the fact that the guests are no longer valued, I don't know. We really enjoyed going out to eat, whether it was a good lunch, dinner, with the children or without, we could never complain about it. We haven't been there for a long time, but we have to say that the store has unfortunately deteriorated in the last 4/5 months. Dear Lost Monk team, please pay attention to the hygiene of the store and the hiring of professional employees.

The Thai curry with baked chicken was also perfect and the sauces were rich and flavorful. The service, however, was rather mediocre. Although the staff was friendly, the attention left something to be desired. We got the wrong drinks once and the tea at the very end came a little late. The ambience of the restaurant was pleasant and inviting. The furnishings are stylish and create a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor area is particularly beautiful and invites you to linger on warm evenings. Overall, we would recommend "Lost Monk", especially because of the excellent food. While the service could be improved, the wonderful food and pleasant atmosphere largely make up for it.

We were there for the first time. Either there are cuts in personnel costs due to understaffing to the detriment of everyone, or we caught the wrong day. At least the waiters seemed extremely overwhelmed. Despite reservations, we had to wait about 40 minutes for a simple sushi plate (there weren't many pieces), and they only came "faster" when we asked. What particularly bothered me was that the waitress touched the glasses from above, where we drink. Sorry, that doesn't work at all! She constantly wiped all the tables with the same damp cloth, and there was no need for her to hold the glasses from above. I think we won't come back
