Lokal Bar Marie in Esslingen am Neckar

Went to Marie for the first time today by chance. At first glance, the ambience is not really inviting. Everything was empty except for a few guests in the smoking area. The service was quick and friendly. The tattered menus could be made nicer. We had delicious meze and sardines with salad, my wife had kofta. Everything good and freshly prepared. We were surprised by Marie and can recommend it.

Very tasty food and friendly staff. The price is justified.

Perfectly prepared seafood. It was a surprise that even the cucumbers and tomatoes in the salad tasted like they came from grandma's greenhouse. The owner is very hospitable and does not skimp on the amount of portions =)

Everything was super tasty. We can specifically recommend kofta. Everything made by the boss himself. A little more vegetarian/vegan selection would be good.

TL;DR: good food, but really bad service. We arrived at the restaurant at 1:40 p.m. and wanted to eat something. The restaurant was empty. We were greeted by an older woman who told us that there was food but that the chef would only be there in 5 minutes. After that statement, we decided to wait and ordered a drink. We shouldn't order our food until the chef is there. After 30 minutes we asked again whether we could order something to eat. Again we were told that the chef would be there in 5 minutes (after we had already waited 30 minutes). We said we would rather pay for the drinks and leave. This was not received so kindly. The lady went back to the kitchen and we waited a few more minutes. After a total of 40 minutes after our arrival the cook came. We wanted to give it one last chance and ordered our food. The food was prepared quickly. The taste was relatively good. When we paid the waitress, she didn't apologize for why everything had taken so long. That's why we only gave a small tip. This was received very unkindly and the lady simply left without saying goodbye. Conclusion: Either we had a very bad day or you can really forget the service here.

Super friendly, nice, delicious food

Very tasty food and everything fresh! Had the grilled octopus with salad (tomatoes like in the south) and bread. Thought I was by the sea. The octopus was so tender and delicious.

We ate here for the first time. It was very very tasty. The starter plate, grilled sea bream, grilled octopus and kofta. Everything was super fresh and deliciously prepared. The service was also very attentive and friendly.

Hello everyone, it was my first time there and I was thrilled. The service is always attentive and helpful, especially very customer friendly. The food from starter to main course was all very fresh and tasty. The location itself is small but nice, you feel very comfortable and welcome!

My wife and I had dinner here for the first time. Have 2 anchovies with salad. Very good conditions, atmosphere, very clean and great fish and salad We went home very satisfied Thank you very much for the lovely evening. See you soon

We went there for the first time yesterday and absolutely loved it! Köfte, fried anchovies, salad and a mixed starter platter - all of top quality and super tasty. The best Turkish cuisine in Esslingen, without a doubt. Clear recommendation!!!

I come here to eat turkish meals and I love it. Tapas are so delicious and also fishes. I reccomend honestly

Sehr freundliche und halbwegs (nicht immer) schnelle Bedienung, schöne Location, das Essen war ausgezeichnet, Preise waren noch in Ordnung, Pangasius und Kalamaris war von außergewöhnlich guter Qualität, man schmeckt die guten Zutaten, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Ich war heute mit meinen Schwestern und meiner Nichte zum ersten Mal im „Marie“ und es war einfach toll. Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker und der Umgang sehr familiär und gastfreundlich. Wir kommen wieder :-)

Super leckeres Essen, nur zu empfehlen. Vor allem die Bedienung „Tata“ war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wer auch immer in Esslingen zu Gast ist sollte das nicht auslassen.

Unser neues Stammlokal! Der Besitzer ist alles in einem, Chef, Kellner und Koch. Er liebt das was er tut, und das tut er mit liebe. Jedes Gericht ist super zubereitet und schmeckt sehr gut. Klare Empfehlung.

Der Fisch ist hier super lecker!! Wir sind schon zum 4. mal hier essen gewesen und jedesmal war der Fisch sehr frisch und lecker. Die Atmosphäre ist super. Hier weiß man was auf den Tisch kommt. Meine Empfehlung: Oktopus 😍 vielen lieben Dank für das tolle Essen und die super nette Bedienung.
