Great service. Simply quaint and iconic.

Unfortunately, the schnitzels are no longer as good as they used to be... The side salad is much smaller and poorly served from a bucket... much too expensive... Even the restaurant with the Bavarian ambiance around the corner is two stars better...

Yesterday, I ate at Lohmann with my family for the first time, and we were all thrilled: a great team, good food, and a lovely atmosphere. We'd be happy to go back.

The schnitzel was okay, but the fried potatoes were the worst I've ever eaten here. They didn't even give us a shot of schnapps on the house, even though we spent over €100 per person, which is an absolute disgrace. First and last time! There are far too many other restaurants in Kassel for that.

Super. Lehmann steak is incredibly delicious, and salad is equally tasty. Dish design is great. Atmosphere here is wonderful, and staff are very friendly, making for a truly pleasant and memorable meal. Highly recommend.

A traditional restaurant in Kassel, but unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the food. The ambiance is okay. Seven of us were there, and everyone wasn't satisfied. The schnitzel was very dry and the salads seemed wilted.

This was the second time we've hosted a company evening for customers and partners there as part of a trade fair, and we were once again extremely satisfied. The food is excellently cooked. Even with a large crowd of 70 guests, the service is prompt. The value for money is excellent.

Overall, we were very satisfied. The only criticisms are simply a matter of taste, but it was still delicious and okay. One light in the bathroom was broken, and I was sitting almost completely in the dark. The others worked. The place is very busy but affordable, although the customers seem rather upscale.

The price/performance ratio is still very good and the owner and the team are always polite and try very hard. One of the most pleasant restaurants in the city with good food. Note: Reservations are necessary on weekends :)

We were at Lohmann with 20 people and everyone found something and was satisfied. The service was top and the food was very convincing. The many dishes were consistently prepared with the same quality and were completely acceptable in terms of taste and price. There was also a more than sufficient selection of side dishes (potatoes, fries, spaetzle, salads) so that everyone can be happy.

Ligt net buiten het centrum van Kassel. De ingang is eenvoudig. Maar eenmaal binnen dachten we dat het rustig was. Niets was meer waar. Het restaurant zat vol. We moesten aan de bar wachtten voor een tafeltje. Maar dat was meer dan waard. De bediening aan de bar erg vriendelijk en vrolijk. Wat ik persoonlijk erg kan waarderen. De sfeer was de echte "Deutsche Gemütlichkeit". Gewoon Super. Zoals ik eerder had gelezen waren de gerechten genoeg voor twee. Nou dat klopt ook. De gebakken champignons (aanrader) veel en lekker. De schnitzels groot, gebakken aardappelen en friet genoeg, voor velen was dit te veel. En erg lekker. De chef kwam langs voor de specialiteit van de dag. Ik zou zeggen als het je aanstaat gewoon doen. Kortom een heerlijke avond gehad bij Lohman. De aanrader die ik kan geven als je in Kassel bent.

In this restaurant you will find good home cooking and a house beer. In terms of taste, the menus we ordered fully met our expectations. Overall, a cozy restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere.

It was my favorite place for a long time, but recently you can no longer get an easy reservation. This is the third time in a row that I've been rejected without an alternative for a table for 2 - according to the service on the phone, I can try it if I'm lucky (?). It's a shame that no solution can be found. The food and ambience were otherwise always top.

We had a wonderful evening here yesterday at the end of the trade fair in Kassel. We were even allowed to bring our 5 dalmatians with us, who were not only warmly welcomed, but also each received something delicious to welcome them ♥️ the food and the service were really great - we'll keep that in mind for our next visit to Kassel! Stopped in spontaneously, packed, but the attentive employee immediately said "there's a table for two available soon!" Get a place in no time. Schnitzel ordered, fresh and well prepared (no longer common everywhere). The service was outstanding: although, as I said, it was packed, we never had to wait for anything. The two male waiters were what you would call "educated at heart": no memorized service blahblah, but individual approach. A very nice evening at Lohmann's.

Hello, we had dinner here at Lohmann with 4 people. Unfortunately, the quality wasn't what we used to know. The schnitzel meat was full of tendons and very tough. The only thing that was tasty was the tiramisu... but something was wrong, either with the tiramisu or with the schnitzel. One person had stomach problems in the restaurant and I had stomach pains all night... Unfortunately we won't be coming back here. Too bad.

Went there for a spontaneous meal on a Saturday in December and received a very friendly welcome. And a nice table was assigned and even though it was almost fully booked that evening, we didn't notice it because of the service and food! The restaurant employee gave us the cards and noted our drink requests. The menu offers a great selection of vegetarian and meat dishes and we chose both options. The food came really quickly, even though, as written, the restaurant was completely full except for 1-2 tables! And it tasted incredibly delicious!!! I was also able to ask about allergies and intolerances in advance, which wasn't a problem at all and the friendly service was able to clarify it. A nice restaurant that is a bit hidden. But we'll be back! 😃

Lohmann, again and again and still: Lohmann. Traditional Kassel restaurant with an exciting history. Above-average food, great service, good, more than fair price-performance ratio. In summer, outside in the beer garden in front of the house. Cozy in winter with attractive, different options inside on a cozy wooden floor. You can always go there for a beer or two, or delicious food, from simple and good to more. Anyone who wants to claim that he (or she) knows Kassel and its people has at least been to Lohmann several times. Otherwise it would be a lie. Recommendation!

In addition to the high quality food, a particularly good, open-minded and very friendly service staff should be mentioned here. I'm willing to pay the money for that at any time.

This restaurant with its lively pub atmosphere is well organized with top cuisine at moderate prices. There is hardly anything comparable nationwide. In the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle I had the “Lohmannsteak” for 28.50. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. You can hardly find something like this in top steakhouses for less than €35. So: Lohmann is the tip for everyone who wants to enjoy a good meal in a lively atmosphere.

We were at “Lohmann” with 10 people on a Thursday evening. The place was really full - crazy! The service was friendly and helpful. The food came quickly and was delicious.

We have never had a better schnitzel! It was amazing. The Franzosisches Schnitzel. All our food was excellent and they were very busy on a Monday night. Reservations recommended! Their Lohmann beer was very good also.

Greatest schnitzel in Northern Hesse, probably in the universe (I haven't tried all the schnitzels in the universe yet, but I'll probably have to look for a long time). Always very crowded, so it's best to make a reservation.

Was there in the summer, in the beer garden. Respect - the staff was really on the ball. And then the food came. I'll put it this way: if I work up a sweat while eating, then you can't complain about the portion. And it was delicious. To the point. Great cinema! Quite justified in terms of price. We felt very comfortable in this cozy arbor. And if there weren't more than 300km between our hometown and there, we would come to feast more often. Thank you. Until next time, that's a fact.

Very tasty food in a pleasant dining room at good prices. Even during the week (Monday evening) it was very crowded, so we were lucky to get a table without a reservation.

I really liked it here. However, it was very warm in the room. A tip that concerns the food: If you have a beef steak, you should put the fries that come with it in a separate basket. These sponges are in the escaping sauce and are then no longer edible for me.

Traditional german food mixed with italian touches. Nice place to go with friends, to go alone or work colleagues. Food is abundant, tasty, and variated. In my opinion, the snitchzels are one of the best in Kassel. It is better to book in advance if you are more than 2 people.

Friendly and fast service, cozy atmosphere and really incredibly tasty, tender schnitzels. Therefore an unreserved recommendation! In summer you can also sit outside in the small beer garden. The location is close to Kassel city center, but still quiet.

There are really delicious schnitzel variations here. I had the French Schnitzel with pear, brie and cranberries. It tasted excellent. And as it should be, pan-fried and not deep-fried

The food was very tasty, especially the starter (Balkan cheese) highly recommended. The restaurant was very crowded and therefore there was a loud noise and the tables were too close to each other which made it very uncomfortable to eat there. And since the roof is leaking and dripping, another star deducted.

The food is of the best quality and very tasty, the service is great. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food came quickly. The ambience is very pleasant, I would say a good mix between modern and true to history. We would be happy to come back and recommend the restaurant to anyone who is looking for a good meal in a pleasant atmosphere.

The owner is very arrogant and unfriendly. Five of us should sit at a table so as not to occupy another table. People are no longer respected here, it's all about money. We, 2 people, are going to Lohmann this evening without a reservation. First impression rather frightening, strange people at the entrance. I still dared, and the boss promptly came up to me and greeted us both in a friendly manner and offered us a seat without much back and forth. The hut was full. Better yet, we had barely sat down and one of the many waitresses arrived. Quick drink here. Shortly afterwards the food was taken, notice of the daily special came around the corner, ordered, after 5 minutes the salad came 👍after 15 minutes the food. Sure, it was full, a bit loud, whatever... The food was delicious, the staff and boss were top and helpful. 100% recommendation...

The food was delicious, but the service was straight up. I don't know when in the last few decades I have experienced such terrible, almost insulting unfriendliness in a restaurant. Maybe they had a bad day, but that in no way justifies what was thrown at me last night. The food, on the other hand, was very tasty, but I'm also a bit sorry for the kitchen, which simply deserves better service.
