I've never seen that you can't order fries but only as a side dish

We ate here today and unfortunately were anything but satisfied. Even though we specifically asked for the patty to be cooked through, it was served rare. The service also left a lot to be desired. When we asked about paying, we initially received an ironic “no” as an answer. When paying, inappropriate comments followed such as “€70 and no tip”, “It was nice to scrape together the money” and finally a sarcastic “DESpite everything, have a nice day”. Even when we wanted to give a tip, it was refused - obviously it wasn't enough. The atmosphere also seemed uninviting. Customer friendliness? None. We almost wondered if unfriendliness was part of the concept here. We have never been treated so badly.

I love the spoon bar and the staff and the food and everything. I've been coming and going with you for 20 years. Thank you for your warmth and everything!!

Great service and especially the breakfast on the terrace at the weekend is my highlight.

Food and drinks are delicious. The staff is friendly and accommodating, but not intrusive. The restaurant is clean and you can sit outside as well as inside.

Service was first class. The ambience is pleasant. Unfortunately, the food is so-so...my granola was definitely more burnt than roasted and the portion was very small.

Well... Many of the dishes on the menu are finger food, for which main course prices are charged. You feel more stripped away when you leave. Too bad.

Super nice little and quaint restaurant. The service was very friendly and the food was wonderfully good for all 7 of us.

The breakfast here was made really well. Lots of taste and flavour. Poached eggs were made just right. I got the Eggs Benedict salmon and friends got the Eggs Benedict avocado - we all had a positive review of the food. The coffee was also fantastic.

Arrogance instead of nice service. Please note before reading my review: the dishes and the products offered are great and of high quality and taste great! Above all, the offer of being able to have breakfast all day is great. That's why we were really happy when we reserved a table for today. Nice atmosphere, always friendly service and delicious food. What more do you want? I would like to briefly explain why we left the restaurant today with a lot of frustration in our stomachs instead of with a smile: After we were brought to the table by a friendly female waiter, we ordered and received our ordered breakfast quite quickly. The food was great as described above. Only the nougat cream was forgotten and had to be reordered. However, when it came time to pay, the visit came to an unpleasant end. After we said the amount we wanted to pay including the tip, the male waiter asked us in a reproachful tone whether we didn't enjoy it? I was surprised because we didn't give any indication in that direction and it quickly became clear that the tip size didn't seem to be high enough. It is and remains the guest's decision whether and, above all, how much tip he or she can and wants to pay. I think it's important to give tips when the service is good, but that's just not possible. Until now, brunch at your place has been an absolute highlight for us on weekends or days off, but since today we will think three times about coming over. But that will probably be manageable, because apparently things are going so well that we don't have to rely on guests who, in the opinion of the male waitress, don't tip enough after they've just spent over €40 on a shared breakfast. It would be great if someone could comment on my assessment and justify such behavior and critically question it.

Overall we were happy with the food and drinks. I would happily give it 5 stars if I had gotten what I ordered. And not some other version of the dish because an ingredient is “not there anymore”. Then you ask the guest beforehand whether you can replace this ingredient with another or whether the guest has a specific request. Simply using something else that changes the overall taste is not necessarily the optimal solution.

After a long time I was in the spoon bar again. I know the location from my student days. But I haven't been there for about 6 or 7 years now. The food was really good. I can't say anything else. I can't say the same about the lava chocolate cake. It was good, but you could do it better before. The bar keeper was super nice. The waitresses were also nice but took some getting used to... Somehow different than I remembered. The ambience is a little old and I didn't remember it being so dusty around the corners and edges. And the tables are a little old... Oh well. Yes, we would come again. But still a point deduction. Because something was missing.

Waiting time for food was a little longer (45 - 50 minutes). Drinks were always there straight away

Food great as always, But guys... if nice weather has been announced for a week, then you can't man the service outside with just one person. Having to wait almost an hour for a second drink is simply not possible, and is actually not typical for you. The management of the store needs to make significant improvements

- Food: I had the eggs benedict and yhe chai latte. The chai latte was great but everything in the eggs benedict dish was cold. It looked and tasted like it was cooked long before (which explains why it arrived so fast). The eggs were over cooked, the bacon was also overcooked and dried, and the bread was burnt. - Service: the employees were friendly - Atmosphere: very loud. There was nothing to stop the noise. But the big windows allow for a nice view outside and light coming in. I wouldn't come back for brunch.

I went to the spoon bar for the first time today. I sat outside in beautiful sunshine. The menu is very appealing and it took me a moment to decide 😉. Then we had the sliced ​​turkey in a mushroom cream sauce with rice. Dessert almond brittle ice cream.....delicious😋I'll be happy to come back 🥰

One of my favorite cafes/restaurants in Düsseldorf. Just such a nice atmosphere and when the sun is shining you almost always have sun outside or inside. The service is great and the staff is just super friendly and helpful! I can only recommend it, whether for a delicious breakfast, just a coffee or a glass of wine!

The best brunch in Pempelfort, and the best brunch in all of Düsseldorf in my opinion. Very kind team as well. Highly recommend!

We were here for breakfast. Was tasty and plentiful. We also tried the waffles and found them to be good. We were there on the weekend so it was very busy and you had to wait for a table. Unfortunately, this was in the middle of the stressful entrance area. In general there isn't much space at the tables either. The service was a bit overwhelmed that day.

A neat brunch place that is always packed, so it's best to reserve a table in advance. There are a lot of interesting options in the menu and the atmosphere is really buzzing. People gather for a drink, a bite to eat or birthdays. The staff is really friendly and attentive, but they can lag behind at times, due to so many orders at the same time.

The food is really good. However, the hollandaise sauce was a bit too sour for me and the kitchen was a bit too good with the salmon, but that's complaining at a high level. The spoon bar is one of my favorite places in Düsseldorf for breakfast and an absolute recommendation for anyone looking for an above-average breakfast restaurant.

Cozy place for breakfast, with very nice and attentive service. Coffee & breakfast were delicious. The pancakes were fried, which I personally didn't like. Overall, there is a large selection on the menu, but the ingredients are still homemade and fresh. Be sure to reserve on weekends.

I only went to drink in the afternoon and it is a quiet place to spend some time.

Great, tasteful restaurant for everyone who likes it authentic and not glossy. I didn't eat anything, there was enough at the company event - but it looked very tasty! The next time I stay in the hotels around the corner, H2 City and Co., easily accessible via the park, that would be my first choice. It's not loud there and perfect for meeting locals and chatting - old, of course, delicious😉

Meine Bewertung bezieht sich lediglich auf die Qualitaet des Kaffees. Die Karte bietet viele verschiedene Formen des Getraenks an, aber im Endeffekt fehlt es an der Schulung des Personals diese wirklich umzusetzen. Den Kaffee haette ich mir sparen koennen. Achja und mit Karte kann man erst ab 10 Euro zahlen. Holt euch mal nen Zahlungsanbieter, der keine flat fee nimmt.

Die Kellnerin war der Knaller. Sie merkte sich die Bestellung von 12 Personen ohne es aufzuschreiben. Die Menge des Essens war jedoch sehr übersichtlich.

Ein sehr gemütliches Lokal, gut erreichbar via Straßenbahn und S-Bahn. Dank des sehr freundlichen Personal verbringt man dort gerne den Abend. Sowohl auf der Speise- wie auch der Getränkekarte wird jeder fündig. Jedes Mal wieder ein Genuss. 6/5 Sterne

Schmutziger und ungepflegter Ort. Am Tisch sitzend haben sie sich nicht einmal die Mühe gemacht, den Tisch zu reinigen oder abzuräumen. Schade, weil das Essen und die Getränke waren auch gut, aber der Service war nicht!

War das erste mal dort und war vom Service und vom Essen begeistert :). Kann ich also nur empfehlen.

The food was good though the poached eggs were overdone. They made a strangely big deal about us not having a reservation when there were still empty and unreserved tables when we left (to be clear no one sat there during the time we were there). But other than that the service was quite good. One thing of note, I was really confused by their bathroom (pictured), I mean what's the point?

Food was definitely below expectation.. Sliced tomato, sliced avocado on crusty bread poached egg with over cooked hollandaise.. Roasted cherry tomatoes, chunky avocado, proper sauce FTW! Yes I'm a snob, but I'd happily pay 5€ more for that!

Local cozy place Was very quiet when I visited We had a great time, the waitress was nice and speaks good English 🌷 The menu was clear and short Food: Pancake 🥞 (it was like deep fried not the usual pancakes we used to but it's really nice and delicious, the only downside is the fruits, it tastes so bad 🥲💔) 7/10 Egg with salmon 🍳 (it was nice, the salmon is too salty, needs a little adjustment ..) 7/10 Coffee was average 7/10 Overall experience was great 👍🏽😊

Ich war ganz enttäuscht…Zuerst konnte unser Tisch nach anderen Gästen nicht abgeräumt werden, dann warteten wir 10 Minuten auf das Menü. Nach der Bestellung mussten wir erneut warten, nach 20 Minuten Wartezeit fragten wir erneut, wo unsere Bestellung sei, da wir hungrig nach Frühstück ankamen. Sie sagten uns, dass alle warten würden und wir auch warten würden. Das ist eklatante Unhöflichkeit!!! Dies ist keine Möglichkeit, mit Kunden in einem Restaurant zu kommunizieren. Am Ende brachten sie uns ihre typischen Benedict-Eier, die innen hart waren... sie haben ihr beliebtes Gericht nicht einmal richtig zubereitet. Dieses Restaurant verdient keinen Stern. Maximaler negativer Nachgeschmack. Ich rate nicht.

Первое что хочу сказать , меню ждали 15 минут , заказ ждали 50 минут. Еда обычная , заказывали яйца Бенедикт , были переваренный твердые внутри. Тост был слишком твердый как будто вчерашний хлеб дали. Фреш был вкусный особых способностей что бы сделал не нужно )) Есть заведения и получше! Персонал не успевает

Was here for a team work dinner, so they catered for a large table of 28 people. Food and service was excellent and the restaurant had a great atmosphere.

La hamburguesa estaba seca, mala calidad, te cobran por absolutamente todo. Las patatas sin mas. No lo recomiendo. Mis amigos pidieron bowls y pasta y tampoco les gusto mucho. Ademas carísimo!!!!

Das Essen ist ganz lecker und man sitzt hier ganz nett, wenn das Wetter mitspielt. Die Preise auf der Lunchkarte sind in Ordnung, der Rest ist leider ein wenig überteuert.

Ordered via Lieferando. Salad with chicken, potato soup and falafel salad. None of the dishes can be recommended, falafel really dry, soup spicey and strong, chicken BBQ nice taste, rest was so so. 18min late delivered (was preordered for 14:15 so not rush hour).

Went with high hopes for a birthday breakfast. The food was disappointing. The American pancakes were a disaster. It was so hard, even knives couldn't do the job. The other two brunch plates were below average. Unfortunately we didn't have a satisfactory experience.

Bin schon das 3. oder 4. hier gewesen und mag es wirklich sehr gerne! Das Essen ist gut, die Preise fair, Service schnell UND man kann auch am Wochenende reservieren.

Toller Laden! Service war sehr nett zu uns, Essen (Risotto) kam auch mega schnell bei uns an. Man muss halt brüllen, weils direkt an einer vielbefahrenen Straße mit Straßenbahn liegt, aber dafür kann die Löffelbar nichts :D

Leckere Speisen und freundliches Personal. Die Preise sind moderat.

Des Öfteren war ich bereits Gast in der Löffelbar. Die Essensauswahl ist groß und bietet eine abwechslungsreiche und gesunde Küche. Die Getränkekarte ist leider nicht zeitgemäß. Ich hatte weder Matcha Latte, Curcuma Latte noch Milchalternativen gesehen. Auch nicht sicher, ob es Chai Latte gab. Der Service ist freundlich, jedoch langsam und unaufmerksam. Auch gilt eine Kartenzahlung erst ab 10 euro. Dabei sind wir im 2023 bereits angekommen. Da die Jungen Leute die Café Kultur ausmacht, sollte man sich alternativen überlegen. Paypal ist z. B. eine gute Alternative, von dem der Fiskus auch nicht viel mitbekommt ;). Ich empfehle dringend der Löffelbar, sich dem Zeitgeist anzupassen.

Schrecklicher Service. Die Arancini wurden offensichtlich Tage vorher zubereitet und eingefroren. Und dann nicht einmal richtig aufgewärmt, so dass sie im Inneren immer noch gefroren waren!! Die Tomaten waren auch alles andere als frisch. Die Beschwerde wurde gekonnt ignoriert und es gab weder ein neues frisch gekochtes Gericht noch einen Preisnachlass. Zusammenfassend: nicht zu empfehlen.

Immer wieder ein Besucht wert! Essen ist sehr lecker und der Service überragend. Kann ich nur empfehlen.
