I'm thrilled with this wonderful Italian restaurant in the heart of Esslingen's city center. Absolutely not!!! Very, very unfriendly staff!!! The food wasn't bad, but it was way too expensive. The prices, especially the drink prices, are outrageous. The owner was "lounging" by the door. When I asked for the bill, the waiter (boss) left. And the best part came last: When I asked for the bill at the counter, I was told I had to pay an extra "2 euros." He didn't tell me what for, though. So, I left without a bill. ONCE THERE, NEVER AGAIN. And one more thing: The music in the background was very loud.

The food tasted really good, nothing to complain about! The service was unfortunately nonsensical. We weren't even asked if we wanted anything else; people just kept walking past us. My beer came in a wine glass?! I've never lived a lifetime. And the two waiters didn't have a friendly smile on their faces either. So, 5-star food - 1-star service.

Great. I don't usually give reviews or comments. But when you're so friendly and offer such delicious food, you simply deserve it. This was our first time at this restaurant in Esslingen. The restaurant owner immediately conveyed the flair of Italy in a friendly manner, even with broken German. Fantastic. He brought us three of his personal favorite wines and let us try them. We then chose one and bought a whole bottle. The meal, with two pasta dishes (pasta from the Parmesan cheese and pasta with salsiccia), was phenomenal. Light but very flavorful. We also shared a pinsa with mortadella burrata and pistachio pesto. Awesome! We were very happy and would love to come back. Thank you very much.

A super nice restaurant with a great location in the city center. You can sit comfortably outside and even just have a coffee. The coffee tastes very, very good, and the desserts are excellent. The owner, Riccardo, takes care of his guests, and Terence is super nice and attentive. They also have good limoncello 🍋 Bella Italia in the heart of Esslingen 🇮🇹

I had a pasta dish from the daily menu, accompanied by an Italian beer. Although it was served in a red wine glass, which was rather unusual, it was delicious, as was the well-prepared pasta dish. I followed it up with a glass of red wine, which also tasted very good, in a matching glass. The service was always friendly and attentive, and I never had to wait long for anything. Whether you sit outside on the street or inside, it has a cozy, pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend this small restaurant.

Worst restaurant I have ever seen in my life, I don't even give the service a star, the employees there really need to be trained on how to deal with people, it's really cheeky, it was the wrong decision for me to eat there, even after the bad reception from the waiter I still didn't eat and ate at his neighbor's place, it was definitely not comparable to that, you are supposed to work in the forest with the animals but you have no chance with people.

Unfortunately disappointing - rude treatment of guests Today we were in the café with 9 people and sat outside. About 5 of us also ordered something. At around 8 p.m. a waiter came to us - unfortunately very rude - and said he had to clean up outside now, we couldn't sit outside anymore and had to leave. None of us had a problem implementing ourselves or changing something. Instead of politely asking us to take a seat inside or telling us that there were other seats outside, we were simply sent away - without any consideration. What was particularly unfortunate was that my grandmother was there because she doesn't walk well - changing clothes was particularly difficult for her. We really would have liked to continue spending our evening there, but the waiter's tone just didn't make us feel welcome. It's a shame - we were actually looking forward to a nice evening together. (Of course we didn't receive our order)

Just wanted to order us 2 hot chocolates, the “waiter” without saying hello just “10 minutes”…. He asked in a completely unfriendly manner whether the two people behind were also with us. He was also totally unfriendly to these two people who asked if there was steak here, as there was a lot of large meat in the food display. He then just said, “We don’t have steak here, we’re in an Italian restaurant.” The two then left without a word. And we did after we asked again whether he really needed 10 minutes for 2 hot chocolates. Never again!

The pasta was perfectly al dente, freshly made and with a variety of delicious sauces that took the taste of each dish to a new level. We’ve been here three times in. It’s our local go-to for a nice eat-in experience. The staff are great and patient with our German. The menu has English subtitles. The food is fresh and delish.

The three of us visited the restaurant and had a very small table. Well, all the tables are small, but that doesn't make it any better. The food was rather average. The service too. It is also very loud in the restaurant. There was no soap in the toilet. I will not recommend the restaurant.

Why 3 stars? Food and service great. I can't complain. 3 stars because of the water prices 6.9 euros for 0.75 l of water 😱😱😱. In my opinion, far too expensive. Water must not cost more than 3 euros. For me that's a reason not to eat in a restaurant like this again. I like to drink a beer or a wine but I also want to have a bottle of water on the table if I'm thirsty. Not for 6.9 euros. When I left the restaurant I went to a kebab shop to buy water for 2 euros. Really a shame.

Zwei mal getestet, wir kommen nicht wieder. Als sechs Personen sind wir am Ende mit Wut im Bauch nachhause gegangen. Das Restaurant ist sehr schön eingerichtet, das wurde 1/1 vom Vorgänger übernommen. Das essen ist gut bis Okay. Service schlecht und extrem unfreundlicher Chef. Ich bin 1-2 Mal die Woche Essen, habe eine Gastronomische Ausbildung und habe Jahre in der Gastronomie verbracht. Wäre der Chef (Und ich nenne ihn Absichtlich nicht Gastgeber, denn das ist er nicht) nicht da gewesen wäre es okay gewesen. Service kam eben einmal zum Aufnehmen und dann zum Abladen, danach nie wieder, Rechnung mussten wir dann an der Theke anfordern. Aber sein Verhalten geht absolut nicht. Man merkt ziemlich schnell, dass er überhaupt keine Lust auf Gäste hat und wird sofort sehr launisch und beleidigend. Das Essen ist sehr gut! Auch wenn die Nudeln als frische hausgemachte auf der Karte stehen und man dann die üblichen Packungen in der Küche stehen sieht. Daher Okay und lasse ich durchgehen. Extrem schade! Tolles Lokal, gutes Essen (Zwar nicht wie versprochen frisch, aber Geschmacklich lecker) Der Inhaber sollte sich hier vielleicht eher zurückziehen, Buchhaltung oder Küche. Im Service hat diese arrogante, freche Person absolut nichts zu suchen. Ich mir meine Freunde reden jetzt, Wochen danach Noch von diesem Paradebeispiel „So macht man es nicht“ Zwei mal getestet und zwei mal beleidigt worden.

We can highly recommend the Spaghetto d'oro. Both in the evening and for lunch. The starters are super tasty, but the various pasta dishes are also great (various ravioli or parmesan spaghetti). We really enjoy coming here and enjoying the delicious food.

I was here today with my son. We ordered the salad that was offered for lunch. However, there was no vegetarian version of the salad on the lunch menu, so we skipped the ham, but paid the same price for it. When the salad arrived it was just a ready-made mix from the supermarket, already washed and cleaned from the discounter...at least that's what it looked like. The salad was barely dressed. The service is also very bad. Tiramisu was offered on the menu, but wasn't available. The crowning achievement, however, came at the end. I wanted to pay, but no one came. When I got up and wanted to go inside, the employee came and asked for 22 euros, but suddenly corrected himself to 24 euros in the same sentence. I asked for an invoice because I wasn't presented with one. He then asked if I wanted it straight away or after payment. But then realized that it was probably appropriate to get the bill. Instead of the mentioned 22 euros or 24 euros, it suddenly became 25.30 euros. When I asked the staff how it could be that it cost 22 euros, then 24 euros and then 25.30 euros, I was told that I didn't believe him and asked for an invoice and that the paper on the invoice also cost money. Wow - I've never experienced anything like that. Conclusion: Very poor service and the food was of average quality at best!

I ate there for the first time today. We had reserved online beforehand, which worked great with confirmation by email. For dinner I ordered pasta fresca con salsicce e funghi misti, which included a small salad. We didn't have to wait long for our food. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was very tasty. The menu has a varied selection of antipasti, various salads, pasta and pinsa. Highly Recommended! It's definitely not the last time I've been there!

My second visit - an absolute disaster. We waited 30 minutes before we were even allowed to order (upon request). The drinks arrived another 20 minutes later. No cooler for wine and different wine glasses for four people. It was 20 degrees that day and we only got a cooler when we asked. An Aperol was warm, and according to the company they don't put the sparkling wine in the fridge because they "work with it". The starter platter for 25 euros was a joke. Two hams, some mushrooms and (questionably) salmon? The main course, the noodles were full of pepper. The owner and waiter responded to my feedback: “That hurts me.” Unfortunately that was it. Not recommendable.

I was kindly offered some champagne today while I was waiting. I politely declined this. When it took longer it was said: “You are now getting some champagne” and the waiter went to get it. Again I said I didn't want one. All I got was “Why?” I meant because I'm pregnant. When my three friends ordered a wine, I also got a glass (unprompted) and when I declined again I was told that I could at least drink a little. Absolutely not wearable for me. Whether pregnant, a sober alcoholic or simply someone who doesn't want to drink alcohol. This has to be accepted... In addition, there was no soap or toilet paper the whole evening.

My wife and I were here for the first time. She had vegetarian pinsa, I had pasta with salmon. The food was really tasty and the two waitresses were very friendly. It went pretty quickly even though there were a lot of guests and there was grappa at the end. The price is a little higher, but you also get fresh ingredients and nothing out of a can. If we are in Esslingen again, we will definitely come back

My wife and I dined here the first evening during our weekend visit to the Christmas markets. It started to rain so we wanted to dine inside somewhere. We ventured into this place without a reservation. We were happy to be seated right away. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was bright and nicely decorated. We had already eaten in the Medieval market so we decided to split a dish of the spaghetti with some super large shrimp. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the shrimp were wonderful. The menu had an appetizer that I would have tried had I not already eaten something. We both had a glass of Chardonnay to enjoy with the meal. All in all, a great first meal in Esslingen.

Wer auf verbrannte Pinsa steht ist hier genau richtig. Der Rand war völlig verbrannt. Der Kellner zuerst uneinsichtig und wollte mir weiß machen, dass dies normal sei. Nach einer kurzen Diskussion hat er es letztendlich zugegeben und mir dann eine neue Pinsa gebracht. Service ist sehr schlecht, das Essen OK, wenn es nicht verbrannt ist. Wem Service und ein schönes Ambiente wichtig sind, sollte lieber einen anderen Italiener aufsuchen. Gibt zum Glück genug in Esslingen.

Meine Frau und ich aßen dort heute mit einem befreundeten Paar zu Abend. Als Vorspeise bestellte ich mir ganz klassisch Bruschetta. Diese war ansprechend zubereitet und angerichtet, geschmacklich jedoch nur durchschnittlich. Mein Frau hatte als Hauptgang die Pasta mit Bolognese-Sauce, die sowohl optisch, als auch geschmacklich auf ganzer Linie überzeugen konnte. 5 Sterne dafür. Ich hatte die Pasta mit Garnelen. Die Garnelen waren hervorragend zubereitet, auch die Pasta war schön auf den Punkt gegart. Leider war das Gericht für meinen Geschmack viel zu ölig. Es schwamm praktisch darin. Ansonsten geschmacklich gut. Ein Tipp wäre dabei auch ein Erfrischungstuch für die Hände, da die Garnelen erst noch geschält werden müssen. 3 Sterne für die Pasta mit Garnelen. In Summe 4 Sterne. Der Service war okay, aber jetzt auch nicht der Beste, den ich hatte.
