Lion Bar Restaurant Lounge in Bad Arolsen

Very good food, tender meat. Lovely surroundings in a very tipical village. Recommend if you are near Bad Arolsen.

Food great, otherwise getting old

We ate at Schäfer's last night with six people and are still thrilled. A small, very fine menu with seasonal products, very well composed in terms of taste. There is also a large, well-organized drinks menu. The ambience is very pleasant and stylish. We were looked after calmly and very friendly by the staff. An all around wonderful evening! We'll be back.

I ordered a small farmer's salad. When asked if with olives, the answer was "Gladly". When I picked it up I had to pay 6.50 instead of 6€, but this wasn't mentioned. When I got home, I noticed that there was hardly any cheese on the salad. The quality was significantly better with the previous owner (which also applies to a previously ordered chicken burger). Olives and a fair amount of cheese were a given. Too bad.

Erstmals besucht ohne Reservierung und eine Pizza mit Ruccola und Parmaschinken gegessen, die Pizza war sehr gut, Parmaschinken-Qualität top! Einfach eingerichtetes Lokal, freundliche und flotte Bedienung, leider nur sehr eingeschränkte Weinauswahl, außer Hauswein weiß und Pinot Grigio keinerlei Weißweine im Angebot, schwach. Tiramisu war ok, tendenziell Sahne-lastig, kein Highlight. Für die Pizza würden wir wiederkommen.
