The Cuscino is advertised as being particularly tender/juicy and should be served fried pink. Unfortunately, it was fried for far too long - no longer pink - and therefore tasted like very normal pork steak. No recommendation. The other dishes were good!

Very good cuisine. Great staff. We were 13 men. Everyone was happy and satisfied. Super!

The food is really tasty and always freshly prepared. The service is really nice and quick, even when it's very busy. You have to like the atmosphere, it looks too old-fashioned for me, but everything is very clean. I'd love to come by again when I'm in Dresden again.

I hope the current operator lasts longer than the average Dresden restaurateur. We were satisfied.

An insider tip, located in Übigau directly on the Elbe / the Elbe cycle path (with outdoor seating), in the old town center and near the castle. Friendly and courteous service as well as a solid selection of home-style cuisine. A mixture that is unfortunately becoming increasingly rare.

We (6 people) stopped by the Lindenschänke on a Saturday evening after pre-ordering by telephone. The map is clearly laid out. But there is something for everyone. The food was prepared relatively quickly (fresh?). Visually very appealing, taste (spice) a bit weak. But that is of course a matter of taste. Price/performance not justified in our opinion. The service was very friendly. The atmosphere in the restaurant...cozy. With a full guest cast, the noise level is of course "entertaining". A nice outdoor area with a small playground.

Location really super nice. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with the food. The fried potatoes were too thick for me personally and the Wienerschnitzel was also a bit tough. Too bad... Price performance ratio wasn't really good. We would probably have gotten a better price-performance ratio in the beer garden on the floor below

A great location in a cozy location with a well-attended beer garden. My highlight here was the garlic bread. I've never eaten better. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that. The brawn wasn't worth the price (over 20 euros for 90% vegetables?) and was on a warm plate, melting away. The potatoes were unseasoned and unfortunately the otherwise very friendly service staff were busy and didn't take notice of my messages. The cream puff at the end doesn't go well with the aronia jam, I guess there was spray cream in it and... Well that's the sin of sins for me. I thought it was great that the experienced service staff listened to my feedback and made me feel like they were taking me seriously. Great. I would still come back and eat some schnitzel next time, because the garlic bread is just too good. 😋

A top restaurant in a first-class location directly on the Elbe. There are places here where you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Elbe and the city for hours - simply fantastic! The food is also excellent and the menu changes regularly, so there are always new delicacies to discover. The beer on offer, which comes from a small regional brewery, is a real insider tip. The quality of the food is above average. A little tip: If you don't want to sit in the beer garden, you should definitely reserve a table in advance. Keep it up! 😊

We were there spontaneously yesterday and were thrilled. A great ambience right on the river, friendly and humorous service and absolutely delicious food.

Today we ate a Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes and broccoli vegetables. The broccoli was well cooked and tasty. The fried potatoes were very greasy and would have overpowered the taste of a delicious Wiener Schnitzel. But the schnitzel was soaked in oil in a thick panko breading. There wasn't much to taste of the delicious veal.

Nice place - self-service food room for improvement. Soup of the day is no longer available at 6:30 p.m., Obazda is too raspy (tip from Bavaria: don't let Camembert mature for too long, as it becomes inedible). Red onions were missing and were delivered upon request - food served without gloves! I don't find it that exciting. Rocket is also unsightly as decoration. Calculation factor 4 for drinks in the self-service area is questionable. No “thank you” for the tip - you don’t have to give it either. We said “room for improvement”.

Actually a nice location/ambience, but the quality of our food was not appropriate for this price. As a family of four, we paid €110 (+€10 tip), but we felt it wasn't worth more than a maximum of €70. The service was good, but they made a mistake when ordering so I had to wait another 20 minutes for my food after everyone else had already received their food. There are other restaurants in this area that we had already tried and the Lindenschänke doesn't compare well. But ultimately I can't say it was too bad as we still had a lovely evening.

It was my first time in the beer garden in the Lindenschänke. We just sat outside. The atmosphere is really nice! You can sit comfortably and the cleanliness was also okay. Apparently there was just a bit of a lack of staff as the dishes were piling up a bit. Personally, I didn't find the food in the beer garden particularly intoxicating. There was very little choice (which isn't a bad thing). In addition, the food was lukewarm. With a soup that's just warm to eat, that's not what I imagine soup to be. It was similar with the others (steak and bratwurst). I would have liked a little more selection, such as a few fries. Or more soft drinks/sodas. Very nice atmosphere with room for improvement. I will definitely try the restaurant again!

The service and location are great, unfortunately the food wasn't that good. The salad and the carrot-mango soup tasted very sour.

We were completely satisfied with everything in the restaurant. Only the fried potatoes weren't crispy, but that didn't detract from the taste.

A really great evening........we celebrated a big birthday......with about 30 people. There is nothing to report that didn't work. Food was a dream...both in terms of taste and appearance...staff were great...no long waits for drinks and food...so a big thumbs up.

I had the lime schnitzel and it had a very tasty filling. The herb potato wedges were very freshly prepared, as were the vegetables.

First the good: Great service, fast, friendly and empathetic! Negative: The boss! I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel. While eating I noticed a 3cm piece of fish on my schnitzel. This gave the schnitzel a very fishy taste. For people like me who don't like fish and don't tolerate it well, bad. I thought it was an accident. The waitress apologized and brought the food back to the kitchen. A little later she came back and told me that the boss said that it was probably part of the Wiener Schnitzel and that it was on the menu. A look at the map showed us that neither a label for the allergen "fish", nor the word or at least a similar description appeared. The boss then came to us. Without a "hello" or other greeting, he told us that a Wiener Schnitzel is ALWAYS served with a small piece of fish. As a garnish. I've eaten a lot of Wiener Schnitzel. I have never found fish on my plate. He showed no empathy at all, became increasingly louder, spoke over his head and did not deviate from his opinion. Preparing the dish again was out of the question for him. He remained of the opinion that you should know what you are ordering. In the end he at least offered us a 50% discount on this meal. But when I asked him if he could mark the dish accordingly on the menu, he just rolled his eyes. Afterwards, he loudly insulted us in front of his colleague. A very disappointing visit. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Very nicely located restaurant on the Elbe. The dishes are plentiful and lovingly prepared and taste great. The service is friendly and occasionally asks if you want anything else (but not intrusively). It is wheelchair accessible, unfortunately the sanitary facilities are not. Price-performance is good, all in all recommended. A playground for younger guests is also available. ☝🏻Here the boss personally brings out your umbrella when it rains 👍🏻

The local pub around the corner. It's nice if you have this and with a walk along the towpath you can quickly reach the Lindenschänke. Also easy to reach via the Elbe cycle path. Be it lunch or dinner. Whether it's a restaurant or a beer garden. There is something for everyone and you feel very comfortable here. Enjoy the view of the Elbe or let the kids play in the beautiful adjacent playground. Everything is possible. The service was quick and friendly and the cuisine was also very tasty. The price is a bit higher and you get a normal portion that is prepared in style. If the longer time you have to wait in the beer garden at peak times is minimized, everything is fine. Nevertheless, there are full stars and we would of course be happy to come back.

This was the second time we were there in a larger group. The food is very tasty and you don't have to wait long. You can sit beautifully both inside and outside, with a direct view of the Elbe. Definitely a recommendation, away from the old town and more nature. The service is great and even if you forget something, the restaurant is extremely nice and even sends the things forward. Just great.

Were in the BG 2 weeks ago, the wicker chairs are nice and comfortable👍annoying that fresh pretzels are only available after the “rubbery” old ones have been sold (at full price) and the fresh ones 🥨are not recommended either. 2023: The Unter Linden square on the Elbe is beautiful, inviting beer garden and cultivated atmosphere, also in the restaurant. Friendly service. Good beer selection. The food was tasty. Unpeeled triplets are a matter of taste, but for me they are not sophisticated cuisine at high prices. We didn't mind the prices for dessert (ice cream sundae for almost 10 euros). The usual unhealthy food in the beer garden - the beautiful atmosphere persuades…

The food is delicious and the ambience is very nice. Unfortunately the service was very bad. We had the feeling that the staff ignored us. Our orders were taken very late or only after we asked. This made us feel unwelcome.

If there are these delicious cheese spaetzle here again, I'll give it 5 stars... I've been here several times and as a vegetarian I've always eaten a pan of delicious cheese spaetzle. These were damn delicious... I was here recently, after the Kokolores season, and wanted to order the spaetzle, but unfortunately it was no longer available and disappeared from the menu... Damn! Well, I took an alternative where, in my opinion, the price-performance (quantity) ratio was a bit exaggerated, but it was still tasty. But the service was very nice, the time in the restaurant flew by. I will come back soon and I hope that my beloved spaetzle will be available there again...

Great location - without a doubt! And a very nice lady at the bar in the beer garden. The beer was ok. The food was subpar, lukewarm (steak) to cold (pasta), and nothing great in terms of taste. The gentleman at the food counter was still holding his hand over the noodles (presumably whether they were warm at all) - that should have been warning enough for us. Maybe for a beer again - definitely not with food.

The food was very tasty and well seasoned... maybe a tad too seasoned. The portions were okay. If you're very hungry, you might want to order an appetizer 😉. The only thing that's really a shame since the change of operator is the beer that's now on tap. Unfortunately it doesn't suit our taste at all (far too much carbon dioxide, among other things). It would be great if there was another regional beer on tap. Unfortunately, Glückauf doesn't suit our palate at all. Nevertheless, the atmosphere in the beer garden and on the terrace is great and also the proximity to the playground 👍🏼. If the beer tasted good, we would definitely be there more often 😉

After the change of operator, the Lindenschenke has truly transformed into a little culinary jewel in this city. The food is really excellent - fresh, tasty, and original... hardly any other restaurant in Dresden can keep up with that. Really! Just maybe the fish house - in our opinion - just great! There is fantastic beer from the Erzgebirge (?).. unfortunately I forgot the name... but it's not really inferior to the "Altpieschen" from the Watzke brewery (just around the corner - the best beer in town). And not only that: the Lindenschenke is perfect for families - with a playground. What more do you want?! But it's not just the food that's impressive, the staff also deserves high praise. Super friendly and super nice. Which makes the visit a completely pleasant experience. I'm looking forward to visiting the beer garden as soon as it opens in the summer! What can I say... just great!

First day used on the outside terrace at 18 degrees and sun! We were given a friendly welcome and rewarded with a great view of the Elbe! Food was super delicious, we are quite critical as we are a catering family... I would say: perfect place to relax!

What happened to the beautiful Lindenschänke? Yes, if you ignore the experienced operator, we all don't know what happened, but the story certainly wasn't clean. So, to the actual thing. Ordered soup (there were 2!), the wrong one arrived promptly. Leave it alone if you're not an asparagus fan, that leaves about 3 dishes left over. We like to eat asparagus, but unfortunately it would have needed a few more minutes in the pot. Tongue itself was great, that's also part of the rating. Vegetables with the schnitzel are much more than al dente. Drinks menu good, beer tasty. Unfortunately, it wasn't appealing enough to make another attempt because it wasn't exactly cheap either, especially in terms of the price-performance ratio. The ambience is undeniably beautiful, very pleasant as a pure beer (garden) user. Oh well, even the bill takes about 15 - 20 minutes. Addition from July 25th: Dear guests, reviews with 3 stars or more should be viewed with extreme caution, I really can't imagine being so satisfied here. Or they are the ones you see in long conversations with staff you probably know well. The beauty of the surroundings alone is not enough. I would like to understand it, but probably for some people, a full stomach and a beer are all good. It's a shame about this location. P.S.: To all 5 star reviewers: You're not serious, are you??? This shows once again how careful and critical you should be with such positive reviews if, for example, you don't really know about the location while on vacation. And if a Mr. Bornschein speaks to the crew dozens of times, everything has been said about the neutrally rated meaning of the 5 stars... Addition: and, no, I don't have a personal problem, just with the owner's way of getting there and delivering little quality. .. You could also do some research in the Watzke......

Very friendly and fast service, great cozy atmosphere and the food is simply delicious. A few days ago I tried the Lindenschnitzel: unusual, unusual, very, very tasty. And today I chose the beef cheeks. A little dream. 🤤😋 I'm afraid I'll have to 😉 stop by again soon.

We've always been there for mulled wine lately. The red one is very tasty. food is really good and solid. we always like to come back. The playground was finally modernized last year so that the children can play while their parents still eat.

There is currently a small bar serving in the beer garden under patio heaters. But since there was hardly anything to eat, we went to the restaurant. The staff is very friendly and gives good information about the food on offer. Nice, rustic atmosphere with food for small and large appetites.

Ich muss sagen, ich komme seit vielen vielen Jahren hierher, schon unter dem Vorbesitzer wie auch dem Vor-vor-Besitzer. Die Restaurantküche ist weiter i.O., wenn auch keine echte Empfehlung mehr wie zB Waldmax in der Jungen Heide. Aber im Biergarten, mir als bodenständig in Erinnerung, bin ich "nach" Corona wirklich enttäuscht. Der Obazda kommt nun als Fertigverpackung wie im netto oder bei der Edeka daher! Dabei rühmt sich der Laden "traditioneller sächsischer und bayerischer Küche". Da dreht sich die Tradition im Grabe um. Ich weiß (vermute), das ist evt eine Konsequenz der neueren EU-Vorgaben. Aber Verzeihung, damit muss man cleverer umgehen. Weshalb soll ich noch in den Lindenschänken-Biergarten?? Update aus Sommer 2023: Inzwischen hat ein weiterer Besitzerwechsel stattgefunden. Allgemein: ich denke, alle Dresdner sind zunächst einmal froh, dass es die Lindenschänke weiterhin gibt. Konkret: Die Sauberkeit hat zugenommen, die Servicefreundlichkeit ebenso, und der Obazda ist wieder hausgemacht. Geht doch! Es müsste natürlich nicht ganz so teuer sein, wobei andere noch teurer sind, das ist wahrscheinlich ein ganz Dresden treffende Tourismusproblem.

Vielen Dank für das tolle Erlebnis. Wir waren Weihnachten mit der Familie zum Abendessen und ich bin absolut begeistert. Ich hatte das Lindenschnitzel,welches mit Blutwurst und saurer Gurke gefüllt war. Und ich kann nur sagen,dass die Kombination erstmal sehr seltsam klang mich aber total überzeugt und überrascht hat. Auch das Ambiente und die liebe Belegschaft hat mich überzeugt. Eigentlich gehe ich sehr selten Essen und noch weniger schreibe ich Rezensionen,aber bei so einem tollen "Ess-erlebnis" wollte ich gerne eine Ausnahme machen.

Wir haben ein fantastisch leckeres Essen all'a Hausmannskost Deluxe in einem urigen Flair genossen und auch der Service war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell, sei es die Bedienung oder die Küche selbst gewesen. Der Dresdner mit der ein Sterne Bewertung kann nur ein persönliches Problem mit der Lindenschänke haben, denn das Essen war hervorragend, die Bedienungen allesamt total nett und das Ambiente überzeugt von vorne bis hinten. Jederzeit wieder, es war ein äußerst gelungener Abend.

Super Essen, tolle Getränke, aufmerksam es Team, saubere Toiletten. Was brauche ich mehr?

Sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service, das Essen war sehr gut und kam auf wirklich heißen Tellern! Wir hatten Gänsekeule - superzart, Rotkohl - geschmacklich sehr gut , Klösse und das Duo vom Fisch auch perfekt. Obwohl in der Vorweihnachtszeit viele Gäste zu bedienen waren, mussten wir nicht lange auf unser Essen warten. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Bestes Lokal für bürgerliche Küche. Die Qualität ist hervorragend, das Ambiente heimisch-gemütlich und die Gäste geben dem ganzen einen originalen Flair. Ich kann nur gutes berichten, uneingeschränkte Empfehlung für jede Jahreszeit. Profi-Tipp: Mittwoch ist Krustenbratentag, der ist himmlisch! Da können die Bayern nur zuschauen ;-)

Sehr freundlich und aufmerksame Servicemitarbeiter haben sich um uns und besonders rührend um unsere Kinder gekümmert. Die Karte ist einfallsreich und die Optik sowie der Geschmack der Speisen erfüllten unsere Erwartungen.
