We waited a very long time, despite registering. We came with a 2-for-1 voucher, so that's probably why we waited. You're just a second-class guest there.

We had dinner last night and it was absolutely delicious. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. It won't be the last time we're there. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

The schnitzel was good. The roast brazen wasn't very good; it wasn't a proper roast beef. The cheese spaetzle had too much bacon. The requested dishes were out of stock. The prices were overpriced for the quality.

Again we were served very well, food was yummy as was the delicious dessert, sat in the beer garden 👌

The fried potatoes were unfortunately far too crispy. They were more like chips than fried potatoes. Unfortunately, there were hardly any grilled vegetables on the plate. Addendum to your comment: I would have liked to address you by name, but unfortunately, this isn't possible because your name wasn't visible in the reply. I didn't mention the schnitzels because I didn't eat them myself. Nevertheless, I find it very annoying that they claimed they were too thin for us. In fact, they were not only very thin, but also fried to a dark brown. I would like you to see these schnitzels for yourself. There were also no mushrooms in the hunter's sauce. Your server's comment, "They're probably out of stock," raises the question of why we weren't informed of this before serving. It's also a shame that we were only offered new fried potatoes after our meal—and not immediately after we raised our complaint. I appreciate you putting yourself first for your employees, and of course, everyone can have a bad day. However, I hope your own standards for the quality of your food are higher.

2-week test campaign - "Only cashless payments" - an absolute no-go

Unfortunately, we didn't have any Maultaschen on Monday, so the Swabian plate and many Maultaschen variations on the menu were out of the question. We then decided on the schnitzel. Schnitzel with chanterelle mushrooms and cream sauce, the sauce lacked some flavor. The salt on the fries didn't go well with it. The fries were very stringy, had no melted interior, and my wife didn't eat them. The schnitzel was so flattened, the breading was thicker. The price was just too high for so little. No, we won't go there again.

Delicious food & fast service. Only the next table spoiled the atmosphere by loudly demanding the chef because the fried potatoes were a bit too crispy. The service handled the complaint well, but the customers were rude. We'd be happy to go back.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We were there for dinner with 11 people. After an hour of waiting for the food, three Lumberjack Cordon Bleu with supposedly fried potatoes arrived. These potatoes were fried in the deep fryer to make chips. When we complained about the fried potatoes, the waitress told us that they were always made that way. We also received several schnitzels, two of which were not schnitzels at all, but just very thin pieces of meat with breading. The schnitzels were completely dry. After we complained, we received replacements. After the meal, we were offered more fried potatoes, which we politely declined since we had already eaten our meat. Shortly afterward, the table next to us received a Lumberjack Cordon Bleu with proper fried potatoes. The portion of fried potatoes was at least twice as large as the ones on our plates. We then asked to speak to the chef to understand why the same meal was prepared differently. The waitress refused. She explained that because we were behaving like that, she wouldn't let the chef down. Unfortunately, the waitress then became very rude, pointed at us, turned around, and left. Up until that point, the service had been outstanding. We ended up with a bill of over €300, and we were very disappointed.

From the entrance to the restaurant, we were initially skeptical that this was going to be a great place. But we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious. The schnitzel was really good. And the vegan schnitzel was also a great idea. It tasted really great. The service was very friendly, and everything went smoothly. We'll be back.

We were just here for dinner, a delicious cordon bleu and a "three-course meal." The service was friendly, attentive, and prompt. We thank you very much and would gladly come back.

This restaurant serves fairly simple food, which is perfectly fine. What bothered me a bit was the smell; it had a rather strong horse-like quality. Okay, it's also the club restaurant for the riding school, so maybe that's how it's supposed to be, but I hadn't thought about it beforehand.

We celebrated a birthday here. The food was simply fantastic. The waitresses were a bit overwhelmed at first.

Discovered spontaneously while passing through and drove to it. On site everything is very nicely located in a riding stable and pleasantly furnished in a middle-class manner. Service: A1, courteous and nice. Cuisine: a culinary delight. From the spaetzle, Maultauschen and the sauces to the schnitzel or roast, fantastic! It was a pure taste experience and we are grateful that we found such a nice restaurant. A Swabian feast as it should be. Thank you 👍👍👍 Definitely recommended and will go again on the next trip. Went to eat at the Swabian buffet for the first time. We are thrilled and will definitely come back. The food tastes excellent. Small deduction, it's a shame that nothing was refilled from the roast after 6.30 p.m....if we had come 5 minutes later we wouldn't have been able to eat any of it. Otherwise, we would highly recommend the kitchen and service!!!

We made a reservation with 13 people and thought about what we wanted to order based on the online menu. Unfortunately we were disappointed because there was only a very slimmed down menu. Why isn't this already visible on the homepage? Or the hint that it can't be that difficult. Schnitzel, tarte flambée or onion roast in 2 different types... Maultaschen were out, no children's menu available, no snack menu. The choice also fell on this restaurant because it says on the homepage: Quote: ...choose from various board games and coloring books for children. There wasn't a single game and 2 mandalas to color, that was it. The view of the riding arena from the restaurant was a little highlight for our children, even if the horse grooms/guides stared in a rather unfriendly manner and completely ignored waving children, which caused all the guests to shake their heads. The food was tasty, but the portion sizes were average at best for the price. The young man was absolutely great as a service person, always on his toes, friendly and really deserved his tip.

Good home cooking where schnitzel and roast beef lovers will get their money's worth. The restaurant is connected to the riding arena on the long side via a window front. This means horse lovers have a live experience while eating (if there is a gallop in the hall). 😜

We were here for dinner with several people on December 29th, 2024 (Sunday). Ambience: The riding stable is located outside between Leonberg and Ditzingen. The smell of horses ended in the stairwell and was not audible in the restaurant. The restaurant is decorated normally, the counter area is very visible and the stacked crates of drinks are not what I would describe as appealing. Maybe that's what "rustic" means. Top: The service was friendly and quick, the food came quickly and at the same time for everyone. There was a very small Christmas menu with several variations of Maultaschen and schnitzel (the variation was a different side dish), cheese pätzle, various tarte flambées and onion roast on top. Unfortunately the Maultaschen were out, so 1 third of the small menu was not available. There was a choice between side salad, cheese pätzle, tarte flambée, schnitzel or onion roast. Disappointing considering there was definitely time for shopping after the holidays and/or the menu could have been changed. The meat from the onion roast was perfectly medium rare and the fried potatoes were delicious. However, there was a bit too much salt in the sauce - which everyone (we had 5 x onion roast) felt that way. The run-of-the-mill side salad (ordered separately, not included in the meal) and the vegetarian tarte flambée, which had a very lean topping, were disappointing. The edge was also burnt. They offered to make a new one, but as a chef I wouldn't have had it served like that in the first place. Furthermore, the onion roast eaters received very different sizes of meat, with everything from S to L. Since the portion with the fried potatoes was already manageable, the price of 29 EUR (without salad) is very ambitious. For dessert there was apple crumble, which consisted of a cake batter with apple in it and some sprinkles on top, taste not at all. We came here because of the very positive reviews, spent over 500 EUR in the restaurant that evening and in retrospect had a “nice and okay, but not justifying the high price” feeling.

5 stars – delicious food and great service! I was recently at Zum Tilgshäusle and absolutely loved it! The food was fantastic - I had a schnitzel and a roast, both perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty. The portions were generous and the side dishes went wonderfully with it. The service was friendly, attentive and quick. You immediately feel at home here, and the cozy ambience rounds off the experience perfectly. I can only recommend Zum Tilgshäusle and am already looking forward to my next visit!

It's very tasty and a nice establishment with fast service

We were pleasantly surprised that we were able to take part in a Swabian buffet. There were many traditional Swabian dishes. To name a few, onion roast and lentils with spaetzle and string sausages. The preparation of the lentils I was familiar with was different. Tastes good, just different. The selection of food for a buffet was reasonable and I think there was something for everyone (both young and old). A reservation is recommended. Price-performance appropriate. Anyone looking for good home-style cuisine with a focus on Swabian dishes is in good hands here. We would love to come back and look forward to the outdoor area in the summer.

Yesterday we found and visited this nice restaurant an hour before closing time. It is a restaurant that is integrated into a riding stable. Up the stairs and into the restaurant. We were greeted very friendly, instead of eating a la carte there was "only" a Swabian buffet that evening. Even though we were so late and the buffet was well used, we were very kindly escorted to the table. Salads were served again, fresh chips and vegetables were prepared. We were really impressed by the range and quality of this Swabian buffet. The taste, freshness and preparation were really great. Something for everyone. Starter, salads, main courses, dessert. Friendly service, nice owner couple. We'll definitely be back!

The service was very friendly. Unfortunately the food wasn't convincing. I ordered the Kässpätzle, but it didn't meet my expectations. They were seasoned with vegetable broth, which overpowered the traditional taste. In addition, the amount of cream was too high, while the cheese, which usually makes up the dish, was used too sparingly.

The ambience and furnishings are kept simple and show the connection to the adjacent riding arena, but the food is simply perfect. Since the beginning I have been to the Tilgshäusle again and again. Every single visit the service & food was always like the first time. Everyone is super friendly & helpful. The quality of the food and drinks is great and I am particularly pleased that predominantly regional products are used. The portion sizes are very balanced, so you will definitely be full. The price-performance ratio is also very appealing. Stay true to your line, I'll be happy to come back!

Great restaurant! Mega delicious Swabian food at great prices. Decent portions - everyone will be satisfied here. The staff is always extremely friendly and in a good mood. The atmosphere in the beer garden is quiet and relaxed and you can watch the riders with their horses - very relaxing after a long day at work. Absolutely recommended! The four of us had dinner today and were seated directly at the window of the riding arena, which was THE highlight for our 3-year-old son. I haven't experienced such attentive, friendly and professional service in a long time. A big compliment at this point to the nice waitress. The food was plentiful and both the Maultaschen and the schnitzel with side dishes were very tasty. A big plus point about the schnitzel: you heard the meat tenderizer, which unfortunately is no longer standard everywhere today.

The food is really good. And pretty cheap too. Plus the service is really good. The only reason why the restaurant is not worth talking about is that it is on a horse farm and has a window facing the riding arena. This is especially important to keep in mind if you are allergic to animal hair or if you value meticulous cleanliness.

There were six of us in the beer garden. Unfortunately this is right next to the parking lot and on asphalt. Otherwise it's in a nice location and quiet. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for the food. Which became uncomfortably cool precisely because the sun was gone. I wanted to order the onion roast but unfortunately it was out. That's why we had cheese spaetzle. They were delicious and the portion was almost too big. The experience varied greatly with the other dishes. The pyre was cold and the vegetables were slightly burned. The vegan tarte flambée was very good. Unfortunately very mixed feelings. But we will give the Tilgshäusle another chance.

Typical restaurant; But I really liked it because you can watch the riders next door while you eat. Food was delicious and really big portions. The selection was a bit too much for me, but that is very subjective. Will come again.

We had dinner to our complete satisfaction. Booking a table via OpenTable worked perfectly. We were served very friendly and professionally. The quality of the food was excellent. I would particularly recommend the pumpkin falafel with salad - excellent! But the breaded schnitzel was also great. Overall, a very good evening with a fair price-performance ratio.

I particularly liked the fact that the chef came by the table to say a few words, even though the restaurant was almost full.
