The eight-course menu is a true delight, a real treat for the palate. The staff is attentive and provides detailed explanations of the dishes; their professional demeanor and positive personal touch contribute to a pleasant and comfortable experience. The location, combined with the ambiance, completes the culinary journey into an excellent experience.

This was my second visit to the Leuchtend Roter restaurant in Frankfurt, and I deliberately chose a weekday because they offer the "Share it all" menu. Unfortunately, this offer isn't really explained anywhere on their website, which is my first criticism. The price is €60 per person, while the regular menu costs around €90 per person if you order the dishes individually. The real surprise, however, came after the friendly welcome and only after I explicitly asked about it. On our last visit about two years ago, we shared all the dishes from one plate, and the portions were adjusted accordingly. This time, we were told that with "Share it all," you essentially only receive the quantity of a single order, which you then have to share—with the exception of two courses. Frankly, I found this quite cheeky, especially considering that prices have increased by around 50% in the last two years. 'Share it all' means you only get the quantity of a single order, which you then have to share—except for two courses. I honestly found this quite cheeky, especially given that prices have risen by about 50% in the last two years. ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' " After this explanation, we reluctantly changed our minds and each opted for the regular menu, as the "Share it all" concept simply didn't make sense to us in this form. The food from the current autumn and winter menu was generally okay, but only a few dishes truly impressed or surprised me. Much of it was solid, but simply not special enough for the price. The drinks menu also failed to impress us. Aside from the already very expensive wines, I found the alcoholic beverages rather weak, especially the house cocktails, which didn't really convince anyone at our table. In addition, the evening dragged on far too long. We sat in the restaurant for over three hours, even though it was very quiet and a weekday, when you'd expect many guests to have to work the next day. All in all, I'm quite disappointed after this visit. The price-performance ratio no longer seems right to me, and the "Share it all" concept feels significantly worse than it used to be. I find this particularly unfortunate in view of my vegan partner, who had expressly requested the visit – currently I would rather refuse another visit.

Very friendly staff and high qualitativ food which created a great atmosphere for special dinners. Only downside were the chairs which were not comfortable enough for taller people.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at Leuchtendroter. All the dishes were an absolute culinary delight, the service was outstanding, and we were very impressed with both the location and the ambiance. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back!

I've been there at least 10 times, and it's always a wonderful experience. The staff is incredibly attentive, the ambiance is fantastic, and the food is always a delightful surprise of consistently high quality. Cruelty-free fine dining par excellence! December 2025: Unfortunately, I have to voice a small criticism. I'm not a fan of being told how to pay. However, given the amazing food, I accepted that I could only pay by card. But the fact that I was charged an extra €5 last night for the mandatory card payment leaves a bitter aftertaste, which the fantastic dessert unfortunately couldn't compensate for.

An unforgettable evening. Eight courses – each one a small explosion of flavor. Precise, bold, and poetic on the plate. The team was warm and attentive, the ambiance serene and stylish. In short: exceptionally good food that surprises and delights. A true culinary highlight in Frankfurt.

We had a lovely dinner for two. The concept is that you can either order the entire 8-course menu, or during the week you have the option to share. We shared the menu and were still full. The quality was very high, entirely vegan, and in my opinion, the price/performance ratio was absolutely reasonable. The non-alcoholic drinks were also very good. Any food intolerances were accommodated. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was neither too pretentious nor too casual; we felt comfortable. So, for me, there's nothing to complain about, and I hope we can make it back :)

We are absolute meat lovers and knew, based on the online menu, that it would be totally extravagant, but we didn't expect what awaited us there: We arrived: our jackets were taken from us. An ambiance so breathtaking, different, stylish, romantic, simply enchanting! The service was unbeatable! Customs, friendly, and professional. The waitresses had perfect time management: when the dishes arrived, when they were cleared away; if the glass was empty, it took a perfect 5 minutes, and it was refilled upon request. Not pushy, but perfect! The food: indescribable. We had the "complete package." And not just the intervals between courses, but also the food itself was unique, incredibly delicious, and you wouldn't even notice that you were eating vegan. The chef outdid himself. Above all, what we realized was that the portions were so perfectly balanced that simply NOTHING could be thrown away. You devour it, savor it, an absolute feast for the palate! We had someone in our group who had a specific nut allergy, and the food was adapted for him! Fantastic! We were also recommended a wine by Lukas Dickmann, a man of few words yet one for the grandeur: excellent! Not only is he incredibly pleasant, he also has a 100% grasp of what people like! We love it and will definitely be back! A tip: don't check the menu beforehand, make a reservation, go there, be amazed, be magically inspired, and enjoy! I've never eaten tomatoes or mushrooms in my entire life: until October 4, 2025! The cold mushroom soup is my absolute favorite! Keep it up! Great teamwork. You lose track of time, and that's all thanks to the pleasant staff, the ambiance, and, above all, the food.

Exciting and delicious, the vegan creations that are possible. The menu was very varied and original. We were thrilled and will be back. Very charming service and a magical ambiance. ✨

Some dishes are really good, but some are very simple. For €120 for two people, I'd honestly expect a bit more. The service is good and attentive, but it feels a bit like a delivery driver, as you have two hours for 11 courses, so it has to be quick. Some dishes like the ponzu were too salty, the sriracha too sweet, and the rice pudding a bit too sticky from the longer blending process. What I personally found a bit difficult was that there were dogs in the dining area, three in total right around our table. They were quiet, but my girlfriend has a mild allergy, so there was always the worry that something might start... Certainly a highlight for Frankfurt compared to the rest of the gastronomy scene, but not something you absolutely have to go to when you're in the city.

Everything was great on site. But the email we received after making our reservation, while acceptable in content, was completely inappropriate in tone. We spontaneously considered not going because of this.

I'm THRILLED! I was there 2 months ago, and it was an unforgettable experience, so I have to write a review now. The waiters were super nice and were able to accommodate all of my requests. They took the time to explain each course in detail. You were practically given a little backstory for each course. The different components of the dishes are unique! The ambiance is super pleasant! If I remember correctly, the three of us shared 13 courses, and we were all completely full. They also asked us every now and then if we wanted the next course or if we needed a little time to digest. There was always a waiter nearby you could speak to, and they always asked if we wanted anything else. Our waiter had a super pleasant, calm, and friendly demeanor. Overall, we spent about 4-5 hours there and had an unforgettable evening. I've never experienced better service and more creative combinations anywhere else. Considering that, I think the price is absolutely reasonable. TOP TOP TOP There's also plenty of parking!

Leuchtenroter is a 10/10 every time. The 10-course menu is always surprising, refined, and haute cuisine. The service and wine advice are also always excellent. My absolute favorite restaurant in Frankfurt!

"Reservations are the new dining." €45 per person for no-shows, cancellations only until 6:30 a.m. on the day of the reservation. If you're still asleep, you're out. I thought 6:30 p.m., my mistake. Of course, I understand that a restaurant makes preparations that cost money. But a cancellation deadline the evening before would make more sense, rather than the middle of the night. And no matter what comes up in the afternoon or evening, you'll still pay... I simply wouldn't have made a reservation. Sounds like "fine dining without fine dining." ⭐ – one star, because reserving here can be more expensive than dining.

We had originally reserved for four people, but had to show up just the two of us at short notice. So, unexpectedly, our evening turned into a wonderful date night. The chef was incredibly accommodating, and the entire staff was warm, attentive, and simply lovely. The food was a feast for the palate – it's impressive how creatively and cleverly they work with vegetables here. Each course was perfectly seasoned and full of surprising flavors. We had take-it-all. The drinks were unusual but absolutely delicious. I was particularly impressed by the non-alcoholic cocktails and the aromatic wines with only 0.4% alcohol – a real highlight! A charming detail: Each table receives a small bottle of vodka on the house, which my fiancé especially appreciated. We went home completely full, satisfied, and happy. The two desserts at the end were simply fantastic and the perfect end to a fantastic evening. Conclusion: A vegan restaurant you absolutely must visit – even committed meat eaters will rave about it!

I've been there several times, albeit after a long break. Unfortunately, the dishes have become more expensive and smaller. Furthermore, you're no longer even allowed to order the menu to share for two. The Shahring concept used to work better in this regard. The food itself, however, is still very good and interesting.

An absolute highlight in Frankfurt! The 8-course menu was outstanding and (almost) at Michelin-star level. The compositions were harmonious, and the desserts were an absolute highlight. The aperitif selection is also special, and it's refreshing that it impresses despite, or perhaps because of, the lack of the typical spritz drinks. The complimentary vodka on the tables as a "palate cleanser" is a good idea. Overall, a top-notch experience with good value for money.

The food was fine and the pricing acceptable, but this is the only place I’ve encountered where using a foreign credit card incurs an additional fee. They charged us €8.50 without any prior notice. It’s unfair and feels deceptive, especially since the owner clearly knows about it but doesn’t display any warning. I find this practice highly questionable and borderline discriminatory. Posting this here to alert other foreign guests to watch out for this kind of treatment. Updated Review after reading the response of the restaurant： Thank you for your detailed reply. While I appreciate the effort to clarify your perspective, I’d like to point out that the issue wasn’t whether the foreign card surcharge was buried somewhere in a confirmation email — it’s about the lack of clear, upfront communication at the point of payment. Most guests don’t comb through every line of an email before dining, nor should they be expected to anticipate additional hidden costs, especially one as significant as €8.50. Regardless of who absorbs what portion of the fee, transparency at the moment of payment is essential in hospitality. As for the fact that we arrived as a group of three instead of four — we appreciated the flexibility, but that has no bearing on the feedback about the foreign card fee. Being told at the moment of payment, after the meal is finished, to “confirm” a fee you can’t avoid, is not transparency — it’s cornering the guest with no alternative. Of course I confirmed and entered my PIN — what else was I supposed to do, walk out without paying? Or be forced to find a local ATM and withdraw cash in a foreign country just to avoid a surprise fee? If this charge had been clearly stated upon arrival, or even mentioned before we sat down, I would’ve had the freedom to decide whether I wanted to dine at all. But in your current system, that choice is taken away from the guest. Let’s be honest — agreeing to a fee under pressure isn’t consent, it’s compliance. I’ve dined at many Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, and not one of them has made a habit of debating reviews or defending hidden fees. This was a first — and unfortunately, not a pleasant one. please be aware of entering this restaurant and ASK the waiters for all the possible expenses in advance will be my advise to all reviewer

The food was not quite as tasty as it was before. Small portions with interesting flavors and combinations but there was something missing. Didn’t catch me at all this time. The service was nice but most of the girls had some kind of attitude. The loving kind of 'feeling at home away from home' feeling was missing. Atmosphere was suffering because of that and the chairs are really uncomfortable ---- A small edit after the owners response: I have eaten there on more than just three occasions, but have never had an email asking me for a review. So it's a tad unlucky I was asked for an honest review on an occasion where the food didn't match my taste. Sorry for that. And yes, on other occasions the food was fantastic, so was the service. I have seen a lot of your loving service come and go over the years. In general I love the concept and will definately come again to try the next menu. But I will write an email to explain and three stars is not too bad for an honest opinion....

A special experience, not only thanks to the fine vodka “in between”

We were there about 10 days ago Thursday and had a table for three at 7:30 p.m. The service at the table was extremely friendly! Many thanks again to the gentleman who accompanied us throughout the evening. The wine list was excellent, and the selection of non-alcoholic drinks was also great. The food was delicious, but not consistently creative. The focus was on the taste of the ingredients used; everything was well-rounded, but nothing overpowering or memorable. Unfortunately, the portions are small, even considering the many courses. The meal therefore gets 4 out of 5 stars. We have to deduct another star because we received the last course at around 11:30 p.m., and we waited almost half an hour for the first course. A total of just under four hours for dinner is simply too long. Because it dragged on so much, we unfortunately didn't really get full, despite extra bread with the first course and a small additional dessert.

We were at Leuchtenroter for a special occasion and opted for the Take It All, a 10-course menu. At €80 per person, it's certainly not cheap for a regular visit. However, you can see a well-coordinated and constructive philosophy behind each course. The product selection and flavor were first-class, and you'll definitely feel full. The selection of drinks, including wine, is very good, but not cheap. The menu, however, leaves nothing to be desired. The service was very good and friendly. All courses were explained, creating a sense of anticipation. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance, service, the menu, and the beautiful music rounded off the pleasant overall impression.

The food was excellent. Unfortunately, the waiter forgot the wine we ordered, so it didn't arrive until the sixth course instead of the fourth. It wasn't quite right then. A brief apology would have been appropriate, but it was skillfully glossed over.

We reserved a table for two here for our wedding. We ordered the full menu, and it was our first experience of fine dining. The food was extremely delicious, with many highlights. It was truly an experience. Service was also top-notch. The three people on site made it perfect for us; we felt very well looked after. We also found the drinks selection (non-alcoholic) very good, and what we did drink was also very tasty. We sat outside in good weather. A pleasant "oasis of calm" in Frankfurt. Somehow in the middle of things, but not at the same time. It was lovely. We would gladly go back; we were completely satisfied.

The best food, the best service, and the most beautiful ambiance in a very, very long time! We felt so comfortable

It was our first time there and we were greeted by dozens of people, which is a bit unusual, but it immediately established a sense of trust. We had a quiet spot and, after perusing the menu, decided on the "complete journey." Without going into the details of the individual courses, the dishes were harmonious, some of them creative, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. The service was always very friendly and was able to answer all our questions competently. We felt very comfortable and went home very satisfied after almost three hours and would happily recommend it to others.

This was my first visit to Leuchtenroter – and there will be many more to come. Everything is just perfect. The ambiance, the welcome, the friendly service, and of course, the food. Everything is perfect, and you feel simply welcome, comfortable, and satisfied.

Great stylish hotel, super nice reception/reception staff, very friendly, multilingual, very committed and helpful, which is something you can't/would say about the people in charge of the restaurant. Very arrogant, conceited and ignorant. Very unpleasant when applying for jobs, spoke to Kerk after 14 days, tried to ask by phone, first she hung up, on the second call it was very unpleasant, no, nobody needed it and hung up without saying goodbye!🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🙈😳🤯🧐 How outrageously cheeky, what an answer, the insinuation from someone in charge (management) that is supposed to be fake. I have the feeling that misandry plays a big role and above all I am ready for clarification at any time but this hotel with such staff and superiors is not to be recommended. I advise everyone not to book or even visit this hotel.👎👎👎👎👎🤮🤮

Very cozy atmosphere! ..very good 10-course menu in the evening. We had breakfast here yesterday for Mother's Day, the selection was a little smaller than the last time we had breakfast here, which I thought was a shame. Especially because it was Mother's Day. The selection that was there was very tasty. The plates were left at the table for a little longer at times, so the table was a bit full at times. However, the condition was very friendly. It was nice that the buffet wasn't so crowded.

There were 4 of us guests and had a great evening. Very tasty food, great service, it's all about getting full, but about experiencing the food and enjoying a sociable evening. We will come again :)

Im Leuchtendroter wird das aber auf eine Art und Weise gemacht, dass man sich vom hervorragenden Service und der präzisen Küche wie in die Familie aufgenommen fühlt. Ich kann nur empfehlen, das Menü insgesamt zu genießen, zum Aperitif eine Empfehlung zu wählen und das Essen vom Wodka auf dem Tisch und einem guten deutschen Wein begleiten zu lassen. Die Zutaten waren von außergewöhnlicher Qualität und tadellos verarbeitet. Vor dem Hintergrund meines Profil Namens muss ich jetzt keine weiteren Ausführungen machen, wie gut mir dieser Abend in dem vegetarischen Restaurant gefallen hat. Dankeschön
