Excellent taste with big portions and super friendly service

As always, a lovely evening and the food is to die for. Real Vietnamese cuisine of a high quality. We have been coming here for years and can only recommend the restaurant! Be sure to reserve, otherwise it is difficult to get a table here.

Wir waren zu dritt am Freitag Abend verabredet. Das Restaurant war voll . Der Service war bezaubernd. Das Essen war toll. Der Mangosalat und die knusprige Ente waren sensationell. Wir kommen schnell wieder und werden zum Wiederholungstäter.

An absolute insider tip! The food at Lemongras was top notch - every dish tasted outstanding. Particularly noteworthy is the dish Vit Quay – the best duck I have ever eaten! The service was extremely friendly, courteous and always attentive. The ambience is modern and stylish, the volume is pleasant, so you can have a good conversation. The price-performance ratio is also convincing: very high-quality products are used, and it shows. Overall, an all-round great experience – I can fully recommend Lemongrass and would be happy to come back!

Very friendly staff. They were full when we arrived but they still made sure we could sit by bringing in a table from outside. We chose the spring rolls with shrimps as a snack and the tofu with mango curry as a main course. Both very tasty and recommended! It's worth a stop if you visit Dortmund. 🙂

The food was delicious, authentic Vietnamese. A limited but well-positioned offer available. Tasted refined and fresh. Well attended, so there were waiting times for service. The ambience is a matter of taste, I prefer to sit outside. The tables are a bit tight for several dishes.

Der Besuch hat sich sowas von gelohnt, sodass wir sogar zweimal gekommen sind 👍🏼 Das Personal war so sympathisch und liebevoll, sind auf die Extrawünsche eingegangen 😊 Wir hatten zu zweit jeweils eine Vorspeise, einen Hauptgang und ein Dessert. Alles wurde frisch und schnell zubereitet, alles war super lecker. Eine sehr authentische vietnamesische Küche. Lemongrass war in der Nähe vom Weihnachtsmarkt, was total praktisch war, man konnte sich auf einen heißen Tee dort aufwärmen. Sehr zu empfehlen 👍🏼

We were there for lunch today, December 12th, 2024. We were welcomed very nicely by a young lady. Since we were there at lunchtime, we chose the M6 ​​(duck with curry and rice) and the M7 (rice noodles with spring rolls). Aside from the fact that the service was great, the food was beautifully presented and delicious. For €10.50 & €11.90 you can't complain at all. Gladly again!🩷

Trotz eines Freitag Abends haben wir noch ein Tisch bekommen. Das Essen war vorzüglich und kann nur empfohlen werden! Auch die Getränke waren gut. Lediglich das Ambiente war mittelmäßig , man konnte sich leider nur schwer verstehen und die Einrichtung war etwas lieblos.

Tried different things! All dishes were very fresh and tasty. For every dish we were asked by the very nice and attentive service staff whether the dish should have coriander! We are really looking forward to our vacation in Vietnam. The restaurant was already full in the afternoon! So it's best to reserve a table.

I ordered 3 dishes that were delivered via Wolt. However, they suck. The Mi Xao Gion dish was very bad, the fried noodles seemed very old, I clearly felt the taste of old cooking oil, and sometimes it was even bitter. The Hu Tieu dish contains shrimp that is not fresh and smelly. It doesn't even have the taste of Vietnamese noodles. The only good point is that Goi Cuon's dipping sauce is delicious

Incredibly good food - my vegetarian vegetable soup was a pleasure and soothing for the soul after a long day: crunchy, fresh, diverse selection of vegetables with a tasty bouillon. Service absolutely courteous without being intrusive. The menu offers something for every taste - vegetarian and meat dishes. Absolute recommendation.

Das Essen war ein absolutes Highlight. Die Pho war perfekt gewürzt, mit einer kräftigen Brühe und frischen Kräutern. Besonders gut hat mir auch die knusprige Ente und die Sommerrollen geschmeckt – super frisch und mit leckeren Saucen serviert. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Die Mitarbeiter haben sich die Zeit genommen, uns das Menü zu erklären und Empfehlungen auszusprechen. Insgesamt ein wunderbares Erlebnis, das ich jedem Liebhaber der vietnamesischen Küche nur empfehlen kann. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Dortmund. Authentic Vietnamese dishes and great service. It is advisable to make a reservation as the restaurant is always busy. The summer rolls and the curry dishes are particularly recommended. But everything actually always tasted great. 🙂

Ein Freund hat mich neulich ins Restaurant Lemongrass eingeladen, und ich war angenehm überrascht. Schon beim Betreten des Lokals spürte ich die entspannte und freundliche Atmosphäre. Die Kellner waren aufmerksam und hilfsbereit, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu wirken. Das Ambiente ist geschmackvoll und gemütlich – eine Mischung aus vietnamesischer Tradition und modernem Stil. Es lädt dazu ein, sich zurückzulehnen und das Essen in Ruhe zu genießen. Als Vorspeise entschieden wir uns für Sommerrollen mit Rind und Garnelen. Die Rollen waren frisch und knackig, und die dazu gereichte Sauce passte perfekt dazu. Zum Hauptgericht wählte wir zusammen das knusprige Enten-Mango-Curry. Die Ente war schön kross und das Curry hatte eine angenehme Süße von der Mango, ohne zu schwer zu wirken. Die Kellner waren dabei stets aufmerksam und haben uns den ganzen Abend über hervorragend bedient. Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist mir die neue Chefin des Restaurants. Man merkt, dass sie viel Herzblut in die Leitung des Lokals steckt. Unter ihrer Führung scheint das Lemongrass auf einem guten Weg zu sein. Insgesamt war es ein gelungener Abend, und ich kann das Restaurant Lemongrass guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Ein schöner Ort, um leckeres vietnamesisches Essen in angenehmer Atmosphäre zu genießen.

Das Ambiente im Lemongrass ist ein wunderbarer Mix aus traditionellem vietnamesischem Charme. Sanftes Licht, geschmackvolle Dekorationen und eine angenehme Musikuntermalung schaffen eine gemütliche Atmosphäre, in der man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Es ist der perfekte Ort, um einen entspannten Abend zu verbringen und sich in die Welt der vietnamesischen Küche entführen zu lassen. Das Essen war zweifellos das Highlight unseres Besuchs. Als Vorspeise wählten wir Sommerrollen mit Rind und Garnelen. Diese waren hervorragend zubereitet: die frischen Zutaten harmonierten perfekt miteinander und die Sommerrollen waren leicht, knackig und voller Geschmack. Besonders die hausgemachte Sauce, die dazu serviert wurde, verlieh dem Gericht eine angenehme Würze. Als Hauptgericht entschieden wir uns für das knusprige Enten-Mango-Curry. Die Ente war außen herrlich knusprig, während das Fleisch zart und saftig blieb. Das Mango-Curry war ein wahres Geschmackserlebnis – die Kombination aus der Süße der Mango und der leichten Schärfe der Gewürze war perfekt abgestimmt. Jedes Bissen war ein Genuss und das Gericht war insgesamt sehr sättigend, ohne dabei schwer zu wirken. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass das Lemongrass ein herausragendes Restaurant ist, das mit seiner herzlichen Gastfreundschaft, dem angenehmen Ambiente und vor allem der exzellenten Küche auf ganzer Linie überzeugt. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen und können dieses vietnamesische Juwel nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Very tasty Vietnamese cuisine. All dishes were freshly and deliciously prepared, we were very pleased that the main courses were prepared without fresh coriander. The Vietnamese coffee at the end was particularly excellent; we had the coffee warm and as iced coffee. Both were delicious and really different. The service was extremely friendly and helpful.

The Lemmon Gras restaurant on the edge of Dortmund city center offers a wide range of authentic and delicious Vietnamese cuisine. The service is very friendly and accommodating. The ambience isn't an absolute highlight, but it shouldn't deter you from visiting as the food is really very tasty. For me, it's definitely a place that I've noted and would like to pass by again when I'm in Dortmund.

Brilliant place for a spot of Vietnamese dinner. We booked the table online, and they stayed open a little longer so we could place our order. We were told the cuisine is southern Vietnamese, and the food suited our dietary preferences. The service is very friendly and they are happy to make recommendations. The spring rolls, both summer and fried options tasted scrumptious. The chicken was succulent, neither uncooked nor raw. They offer weekly fish options, and the soup tasted homely. The rice noodles had spices from vegetables, and the portion size was generous. The dessert of plantain with cream was a hit with me. Linn, who served us, spoke English and helped us run through the options. We had such a lovely meal, and I would highly recommend this spot.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Lemongrass Restaurant and I have to say it was a fantastic experience! The new management, led by a dedicated boss and an equally passionate boss, has really taken the restaurant to a new level. What particularly impressed me is the fact that the entire menu is completely gluten-free. This is wonderful news for everyone who has to or wants to give up gluten. Not only are the dishes creative and delicious, but they are also safe for people with gluten intolerance. It's rare to find such a varied and tasty offering that is also health conscious. Another big plus is the new air conditioning in the restaurant. On hot days it is a relief to be able to dine in a pleasantly warm room. It really helps make the entire dining experience more comfortable. The service was consistently friendly and attentive, and the ambience is stylish and inviting. You can tell that there is a lot of attention to detail here. I can only warmly recommend the Lemongrass. It's definitely worth a visit and I look forward to returning soon. Finally the lemongrass was back on my way home. It was really nice to find a place outside in the evening. I had Sai Gon soup (small) with beef, noodles, shrimp, coriander and a slice of fresh lime. Then a rice noodle bowl with spring rolls with chicken and beef strips, of course also with fresh coriander. Pleasantly spiced, mildly aromatic. Home relaxed. Hopefully again soon))
