A top traditional German and Baden cuisine in Karlsruhe that truly delights gourmets🤞 I had time this time for asparagus🤗 Farfalle with asparagus was really delicious😋 Served by really professional staff, Mr. Niklas, top customer satisfaction oriented, thank you🙏 With German cuisine, I always miss the question "What would you like from the house?" Too bad😪 the question "Is there a grappa or liqueur missing?" would have been really great, but whatever🥳 you were really GOOD👍 I'll be happy to come back again...

Today, in 30-degree heat, we were looking for a shady spot. We found it here and received very friendly and attentive service. When paying, I said goodbye with "See you later." Three hours later, we returned for dinner and were warmly welcomed and recognized. The food was simple but very tasty. The house-made light beer is highly recommended. Unfortunately, no photos—I was hungry...

Good food, high prices. I ordered the baked potato, and they recommended the mushrooms, which I then ordered with it. I ended up getting the baked potato with turkey and mushrooms – the €12.90 dish turned into a €24 meal, which I hadn't ordered and wasn't good value for money. I didn't want to make a scene, and when the waitress wasn't accommodating, I paid – but I don't think I'll be coming back… what a shame!

Overall, the food was beautifully presented, and the portions were decent. However, the knuckle of pork was served with a cold sauce. This caused the dumplings to cool down even faster. At this price point, you'd expect a warm meal. The taste wasn't particularly special either. I would definitely choose a different restaurant next time.

All in all, our stay there was very nice. The food and portion sizes were very generous, and the staff were very nice and friendly. We were able to sit outside, which was very nice. I would definitely recommend it.

We sat outside for a drink and took a look at the food menu to decide if we wanted to eat there. In the end we had two drinks outside in the evening sun which was very pleasant but as it was cooling down decided to go inside to eat. The restaurant was empty with only a couple of tables occupied. We were debating about having wine, but it seems the waitress was ahead of us and told us the barman was already opening a bottle of red wine for us - hold on we said in unison that’s not what we have chosen!! We had both decided on glasses of wine. For food - I had the schnitzel which was ok but a bit soggy. Other half had a pork dish which he liked. Then I asked for a glass of tap water, well I have never been told in a restaurant that I could not have a glass of tap water unless I ordered a coffee!! As I don’t drink coffee that wasn’t going to happen. Bearing in mind our meal came to over €80, we thought this a bit mean. The waitress then sidled up to the table with a glass of water and said - don’t tell anyone that I gave you a glass of water!! The whole experience was a bit tainted by the wine and water fiasco, the food was average. Not sure we would recommend.

We came here as a group for dinner. Sitting outside in nice weather, good food, good beer, everyone happy… that's how it should be! Thanks to the attentive Lehner's team👍

Reservation worked well online (one star), but you can't reach anyone by phone after countless attempts, totally incomprehensible after I saw how many waiters work there and some of them just stand around and talk and laugh with each other. Well, okay. Food is good (second star). However, we accidentally knocked over an Aperol right after it was served. The waitress was initially accommodating and said they would bring a new drink because the other one was still full and this would be an exceptional "gift" for Mother's Day. The only time we weren't believed was when we cashed out because two drinks were included on the bill. Ok, it didn't make me any poorer, but then they could have just left out the nice touch. Customer friendliness is something else.

Everything was great. Fast service, nice service. In the end they forgot a friend's Kaiserschmarren, which wasn't so nice, but unfortunately it happens sometimes.

The food was not good at all. The potato salad and coleslaw came from a ready-made box. The Maultaschen my husband ordered were cold, and the side salad was forgotten. The sauce for the spaetzle was completely sticky (I don't want to know what flavor enhancers were in it). The only great thing about the evening was the ambiance, but that's no use if the food doesn't taste good.

I was shocked. I ordered asparagus with cooked ham and found on my plate 3 wafer-thin 100% round industrial shaped meat slices with no taste, 3 potatoes and a few stalks of asparagus, for a total of just under €20. How dare a restaurant put such bad ham on a plate... Nothing like that had ever happened to me before. The asparagus wasn't anything special either.

Otherwise the service was very nice and we had a nice sit outside.

It was just absolutely fine, the minestrone soup was disappointing, my expectations were higher. Main course good, beer tasty, service top. We have made a reservation for tomorrow, so that says enough, right?

From the outside this restaurant looked great, we were offered English menus which was helpful but unfortunately all our meals were Luke warm and lacked flavor. My husband ordered a Pepsi which was very flat and he sent it back, my cocktail was nice so not all bad.

We were in Karlsruhe for 2 days and ate at Lehners both times. The food is really top (the Maultaschen are an absolute recommendation) and the service is really good! Mainly we came back because of the great, friendly service. She really enjoys her job! I haven't experienced such good food + outstanding service for a long time.

The food is terrible. My burger was raw and the meat was too cooked for another guest at the table (shoe sole). The service initially ignored us for ages and then came across as taciturn and unfriendly. The ambience would certainly have been better if we hadn't been seated at the toilet.

Classic German restaurant with beautiful terrace in the city center of Karlsruhe in the immediate vicinity of the tram line. We eat classic dishes of traditional German catering. Wiener schnitzel, breaded escalope pork or veal version. Caramelized and crispy pork shank. Simple cuisine without fuss. Relatively expensive prices.

It was packed and the table we ordered for 6 people was a real disgrace. Much too tight, like for a child's birthday party. A big minus for the insufficient space. This immediately shows... the indescribably loud atmosphere. We couldn't communicate with each other because it was so incredibly loud and constantly. The service was very good and relatively quick and very friendly. We were able to eat our food together and it was hot. That rarely happens. Unfortunately the taste is not that great. An outdated pub. We don't need it again, so crammed in and restricted. And we forego the standard comment...from Lehner.

We were in Karlsruhe for 3 days. By chance we came to Lehner's inn and were immediately impressed. The staff was very friendly. The menu offered a good selection. The food was very good. There is nothing to complain about. We go to Lehner's inn every day. You can recommend this with a clear conscience.

Perfect place to eat under the sun in spring, as a little stopover we went to Lehners. Great service, and delicious bread, delicious bruschetta - definitely try it!

Very friendly and attentive staff. The food is truly delicious. The decor is typical of a pub. There's a step at the entrance, but thanks to a ramp, it's wheelchair accessible. I'll definitely be back when I'm in Karlsruhe.

The inn has a great location right on Europaplatz and is very comfortably furnished. The service is nice and quick, but unfortunately I was disappointed for the second time today. A bowl of soup with two slices of bread for 7.90 that is only lukewarm is unfortunately not acceptable - even if the soup was delicious. My companion's soup was also only lukewarm. The plate wasn't deep either, so the soup was eaten quickly. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio doesn't match here. Despite feedback to the staff, not even an espresso was given out on the house. Unfortunately, it was my second visit where something was wrong and apart from a “sorry, we’ll pass it on” there was no “compensation”. That's a shame and not customer-oriented.

Reservations, service and food were, as always, good. It's quite loud there, but that's okay. What was really bad was that we were there as a group and one person had a disability in their leg and had to put it up. To do this, she took off her shoe and put her leg on a cushion from the restaurant. She was then asked several times by the service staff to take her foot down because this was very unhygienic. It was so unpleasant that the person left. I find that an impossible way to deal with it!

Rating: Wirtshaus Lehner’s in Karlsruhe – disappointment across the board Unfortunately, our visit to the Lehner's Wirtshaus was anything but satisfactory. There were ten of us there and wanted to sit outside in the nice weather. Since we had to put several tables together, we asked if that was possible. The answer: Unfortunately not, as the city of Karlsruhe prohibits this because of the sidewalks. Understandable – we thought at first. But when we left the restaurant and saw another, larger group outside who had pushed tables together, we felt quite offended. Why wasn't it possible for us, but was it for others? Once inside, I ordered a sausage salad - unfortunately it was out. It can happen, so I decided on a bowl for €15.80. When this came to the table, I initially thought I had accidentally ordered an appetizer - the portion was tiny. Even the children's food was bigger! Unfortunately, it was also a big disappointment in terms of taste; I would definitely have expected more for the price. Things got even more annoying when I wanted to order a burger for my daughter. I asked if you could order it with just meat and ketchup – without the other ingredients. According to the waitress, this was possible, but the full price still had to be charged. As we were leaving the restaurant, we discovered a table outside with a small cheeseburger for €10.90 - a much cheaper alternative that the waitress hadn't pointed out to us. Conclusion: Bad service, small portions at high prices, little flexibility and then also questionable rules when allocating tables. We will definitely not visit this place again.

The food and drinks were very tasty, the staff were very friendly and attentive. The only point of criticism: I personally wanted to reserve a table for five people at the reception on Saturday lunchtime at 1:50 p.m. for the same day at 4 p.m. There I was told that this was not possible and that we should try our luck at 4 p.m. on suspicion. I then went out and reserved a table online and immediately received a reservation confirmation by email and SMS. When we arrived shortly before 4 p.m., everything went perfectly. But the information on site when trying to make a reservation in person was strange.

We had a group meeting there and had a great evening. Great service, attentive, present, very friendly, very responsive service management. Prices are not low, but the food is very tasty. The Lehners-Hausberg Dunkel is absolutely drinkable. The volume was still okay for a conversation that is important to us in a group like this. Only the path to the toilet was too crowded. You couldn't get through without bothering guests.

Unfortunately, the burger patty is fried for far too long and is unfortunately far too hard. The remaining ingredients are fresh and the sauce and fries are also okay. All in all, a maximum of middle class.

The skin of the pork knuckle was not crispy. I don’t know if it was because it was too late. The side salad was not bad and very refreshing. The cocktails were not good and tasted inferior. The extra star is for the waiter.

The food was terribly bad. I had a beef burger for €18.90 where the meat was so burnt, hard and fried that I had to return it. Instead I ordered the crusted roast. It was halfway ok, but carelessly prepared and ended up in an almost inedible bag of ready-made sauce. We were also wondering why the food came after just 5 minutes. The service, on the other hand, was very friendly and understanding and also confirmed that this has probably been happening more often lately. The ambience is very nice and if you just drink your beer that's perfectly fine, but we can't recommend eating there. Kind regards

Normally love this place, excellent traditional regional food and fine choice of locally brewed beers, and we often take clients here as our preferred dinner location in Karlsruhe. However our recent visit was very odd - as we entered the restaurant there were two men sat inside the restaurant near the door aggressively begging for money as people entered and left the building. It was weird because it looked as though the staff were accepting and even welcoming of them, they had coffees and were sat with a dog. They then started moving around the tables asking for money, again unchallenged by the staff. I'm guessing / hoping it was a one off but I will be cautions about re-booking if this continues. Very uncomfortable.

Ordered fitness salad with chicken strips, unfortunately the lettuce leaves were slightly brown and the salad was much too small for the price, I was still very hungry afterwards. There was also a roll that looked like it came from a discount store. My husband had ordered pike perch with vegetables and potatoes, there were three potato wedges on his plate and the vegetables were completely overcooked. When I was clearing away I wasn't even asked if I liked it, a no go. Last time in this restaurant!

Excellent service and menu, had the pork knuckle which is house specialty, having lived in Alsace for the last 11 years I have to say this is the best knuckle I’ve had in this time and that says a lot about the knuckle as the ones in Alsace are very good.

Food was good and relatively expensive. That's just the way it is now. But the drinks... way too expensive. Unfortunately like almost everywhere in Karlsruhe. But the biggest discount... no, the crowning glory is a 0.5 liter wine spritzer for €9. This is absolutely exaggerated. My Palatinate heart is crying. The atmosphere is very pleasant and service was quick and super friendly, 10/10 👏🏻

Unspectacular system catering without a special atmosphere. The chef is probably vegan, but my pork knuckle was tough as leather and not yet cooked through. The young man who served us at the table was very attentive and friendly otherwise it would have only been given one star.

A wonderful service employee, friendly, attentive and incredibly in a good mood, was the highlight of the evening. The food, I chose a burger, was solid. What unfortunately spoiled the good overall impression were the unkempt toilets! The restaurant with its great team deserves something better here. I'll come back and hope for improvement!

The coleslaw was rotten and fermented. It made me sick as soon as I had it in my mouth and had to spit it out immediately. That doesn't work at all. My previous trust in the quality of this restaurant's food has been completely destroyed. I've been there twice this month and both times I was disappointed. The first time the hot dish was brought cold. The second time there was rotten, fermented coleslaw and crustless roast. The dumplings were replaced with spaetzle without explanation. Never again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It used to be better. It feels like this restaurant is going down the drain.

Lunch Viennese schnitzel with fried potatoes was not a highlight, I would not recommend it to anyone. Pork fillet wasn't good either, old meat. Starter of lamb's lettuce tasted good. Will not eat here again.

Sehr schönes Ambiente und sehr zuvorkommendes Personal! Leider ist aber das Essen eher nur joah gut… Preis Leistung haben für uns nicht gepasst. Trüffel-Pommes waren kalt, zweite Portion dann ohne Trüffel und auch nicht wirklich heiß. Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln und Hühnchen geschnetzeltes mit Spätzle waren maximal ok…
