Cozy restaurant with outdoor area The knuckle was very good, just as I would like it to be. Crispy and crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside. There was also a delicious dark beer. The service was quick and very friendly.

The inn has a great location right on Europaplatz and is very comfortably furnished. The service is nice and quick, but unfortunately I was disappointed for the second time today. A bowl of soup with two slices of bread for 7.90 that is only lukewarm is unfortunately not acceptable - even if the soup was delicious. My companion's soup was also only lukewarm. The plate wasn't deep either, so the soup was eaten quickly. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio doesn't match here. Despite feedback to the staff, not even an espresso was given out on the house. Unfortunately, it was my second visit where something was wrong and apart from a “sorry, we’ll pass it on” there was no “compensation”. That's a shame and not customer-oriented.

Very friendly and attentive staff. The food is truly delicious. The decor is typical of a pub. There's a step at the entrance, but thanks to a ramp, it's wheelchair accessible. I'll definitely be back when I'm in Karlsruhe.

Reservations, service and food were, as always, good. It's quite loud there, but that's okay. What was really bad was that we were there as a group and one person had a disability in their leg and had to put it up. To do this, she took off her shoe and put her leg on a cushion from the restaurant. She was then asked several times by the service staff to take her foot down because this was very unhygienic. It was so unpleasant that the person left. I find that an impossible way to deal with it!

Rating: Wirtshaus Lehner’s in Karlsruhe – disappointment across the board Unfortunately, our visit to the Lehner's Wirtshaus was anything but satisfactory. There were ten of us there and wanted to sit outside in the nice weather. Since we had to put several tables together, we asked if that was possible. The answer: Unfortunately not, as the city of Karlsruhe prohibits this because of the sidewalks. Understandable – we thought at first. But when we left the restaurant and saw another, larger group outside who had pushed tables together, we felt quite offended. Why wasn't it possible for us, but was it for others? Once inside, I ordered a sausage salad - unfortunately it was out. It can happen, so I decided on a bowl for €15.80. When this came to the table, I initially thought I had accidentally ordered an appetizer - the portion was tiny. Even the children's food was bigger! Unfortunately, it was also a big disappointment in terms of taste; I would definitely have expected more for the price. Things got even more annoying when I wanted to order a burger for my daughter. I asked if you could order it with just meat and ketchup – without the other ingredients. According to the waitress, this was possible, but the full price still had to be charged. As we were leaving the restaurant, we discovered a table outside with a small cheeseburger for €10.90 - a much cheaper alternative that the waitress hadn't pointed out to us. Conclusion: Bad service, small portions at high prices, little flexibility and then also questionable rules when allocating tables. We will definitely not visit this place again.

The food and drinks were very tasty, the staff were very friendly and attentive. The only point of criticism: I personally wanted to reserve a table for five people at the reception on Saturday lunchtime at 1:50 p.m. for the same day at 4 p.m. There I was told that this was not possible and that we should try our luck at 4 p.m. on suspicion. I then went out and reserved a table online and immediately received a reservation confirmation by email and SMS. When we arrived shortly before 4 p.m., everything went perfectly. But the information on site when trying to make a reservation in person was strange.

We had a group meeting there and had a great evening. Great service, attentive, present, very friendly, very responsive service management. Prices are not low, but the food is very tasty. The Lehners-Hausberg Dunkel is absolutely drinkable. The volume was still okay for a conversation that is important to us in a group like this. Only the path to the toilet was too crowded. You couldn't get through without bothering guests.

Unfortunately, the burger patty is fried for far too long and is unfortunately far too hard. The remaining ingredients are fresh and the sauce and fries are also okay. All in all, a maximum of middle class.

The skin of the pork knuckle was not crispy. I don’t know if it was because it was too late. The side salad was not bad and very refreshing. The cocktails were not good and tasted inferior. The extra star is for the waiter.

This place is fantastic. The food was delicious and arrived promptly, almost as fast as a fast-food restaurant. The server was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxed and perfect for families. Thank you for a great meal.

The food was terribly bad. I had a beef burger for €18.90 where the meat was so burnt, hard and fried that I had to return it. Instead I ordered the crusted roast. It was halfway ok, but carelessly prepared and ended up in an almost inedible bag of ready-made sauce. We were also wondering why the food came after just 5 minutes. The service, on the other hand, was very friendly and understanding and also confirmed that this has probably been happening more often lately. The ambience is very nice and if you just drink your beer that's perfectly fine, but we can't recommend eating there. Kind regards

Normally love this place, excellent traditional regional food and fine choice of locally brewed beers, and we often take clients here as our preferred dinner location in Karlsruhe. However our recent visit was very odd - as we entered the restaurant there were two men sat inside the restaurant near the door aggressively begging for money as people entered and left the building. It was weird because it looked as though the staff were accepting and even welcoming of them, they had coffees and were sat with a dog. They then started moving around the tables asking for money, again unchallenged by the staff. I'm guessing / hoping it was a one off but I will be cautions about re-booking if this continues. Very uncomfortable.

Ordered fitness salad with chicken strips, unfortunately the lettuce leaves were slightly brown and the salad was much too small for the price, I was still very hungry afterwards. There was also a roll that looked like it came from a discount store. My husband had ordered pike perch with vegetables and potatoes, there were three potato wedges on his plate and the vegetables were completely overcooked. When I was clearing away I wasn't even asked if I liked it, a no go. Last time in this restaurant!

Excellent service and menu, had the pork knuckle which is house specialty, having lived in Alsace for the last 11 years I have to say this is the best knuckle I’ve had in this time and that says a lot about the knuckle as the ones in Alsace are very good.

Food was good and relatively expensive. That's just the way it is now. But the drinks... way too expensive. Unfortunately like almost everywhere in Karlsruhe. But the biggest discount... no, the crowning glory is a 0.5 liter wine spritzer for €9. This is absolutely exaggerated. My Palatinate heart is crying. The atmosphere is very pleasant and service was quick and super friendly, 10/10 👏🏻

Unspectacular system catering without a special atmosphere. The chef is probably vegan, but my pork knuckle was tough as leather and not yet cooked through. The young man who served us at the table was very attentive and friendly otherwise it would have only been given one star.

A wonderful service employee, friendly, attentive and incredibly in a good mood, was the highlight of the evening. The food, I chose a burger, was solid. What unfortunately spoiled the good overall impression were the unkempt toilets! The restaurant with its great team deserves something better here. I'll come back and hope for improvement!

The coleslaw was rotten and fermented. It made me sick as soon as I had it in my mouth and had to spit it out immediately. That doesn't work at all. My previous trust in the quality of this restaurant's food has been completely destroyed. I've been there twice this month and both times I was disappointed. The first time the hot dish was brought cold. The second time there was rotten, fermented coleslaw and crustless roast. The dumplings were replaced with spaetzle without explanation. Never again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It used to be better. It feels like this restaurant is going down the drain.

Lunch Viennese schnitzel with fried potatoes was not a highlight, I would not recommend it to anyone. Pork fillet wasn't good either, old meat. Starter of lamb's lettuce tasted good. Will not eat here again.

Sehr schönes Ambiente und sehr zuvorkommendes Personal! Leider ist aber das Essen eher nur joah gut… Preis Leistung haben für uns nicht gepasst. Trüffel-Pommes waren kalt, zweite Portion dann ohne Trüffel und auch nicht wirklich heiß. Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln und Hühnchen geschnetzeltes mit Spätzle waren maximal ok…

Il locale è una via di mezzo fra il classico e il moderno, ritengo che oltre a ristorante sia anche un luogo dove si va per consumare cocktail e simili. Seguendo una recensione qui su Tripadvisor ho optato per gli spatzle con formaggio e devo dire che erano ottimi, serviti un padella passata al forno. Non sazio, ma quasi visto che il primo piatto riempie parecchio (in realtà avevamo chiesto una porzione divisa in due, ma ce ne hanno portata una a testa) ho optato per la classica wiener schnitzel a noi nota come milanese (senza osso) con carne di maiale, di una morbidezza eccezionale. Personale disponibile ma non molto attento, visto che ci hanno portato nello stesso momento la prima e seconda portata! Lo consiglio

We were there on November 10th. around 2:30 p.m. hungry & thirsty. First of all: An inn with a great ambience and also a good range of food and drinks. That's why I give it 5 stars. But now the negative sides: Service: The inn was only about 30% full, but it still took quite a long time until someone noticed us (we politely asked for a seat, which we were assigned). We had the impression that the service staff was surprised when we answered "yes" to the question "Do you want to order something?" The drinks and food came quite quickly, but afterwards we ended up sitting in front of an empty glass and plates for quite a long time. The service staff must have marched past our table empty-handed 20 times without paying any attention to us. We had the impression that they were afraid of contact and were reluctant to interact personally with the customer. However, the demeanor of the employees was consistently friendly. Therefore 3 instead of 2*. Food and drinks: My wife had the baked potato: the lettuce on the plate had brown edges and a tomato was mushy, and the dish was a bit carelessly presented. Otherwise the taste is OK, 3 out of 5*. I had the Lehnsherren-Pfännle: it looked good and was a decent portion, but the dish was quite bland - for my taste. What I found really bad was that the melted onions over the spaetzle tasted really old and rancid. That's why I only give it 3 out of 5*. Drinks: The Hoepfner beer is really good. Unfortunately, the question about a Hefe-Weizen was answered by the employee with "I'm sorry, that's not possible, the barrel is empty..."?. That's why one star less here too... In the end I give 3 stars (3.5 is not possible and 4 would be too many) Since I would like to write constructive criticism, here is a tip for the (all very young) service employees: Look left and right! Approach the people! If someone has an empty glass in front of them, then they are either still thirsty or they want to go home. In any case, no one wants to be ignored. This is reflected directly in the tip. And to the kitchen: quality control! This is a matter for the boss!

Locale con enorme dehors, proprio a fianco al centro della città. Staff cordiale. L'attesa non è stata lunga. Mediocre la flammkuchen (euro 12,90), ma davvero ottimi gli spätzle (14,90). Birre di livello.

Leider kann ich keine positive ergebnis unseres Abenessen abgeben . es gibt Speisen die sind einfach in der zubereitung ,aber immer die einfachen Speisen werden schlecht umgesetzt obwohl dazu kein mehraufwand nötig ist . Habe ein Wienerschnitzel bestellt vom Kalb , Schnitzel zu dick warscheinlich nicht geklopft , Panade feucht und viel vom Schnitzel , passiert wenn das Öl in der Pfanne zu wenig heis ist oder das Schnitzel schon läger gebraten ist . Bratkatoffel im Öl gekocht und nicht gebraten selten angebreunt kein Schnittlauch oder Petersilie kann man alles besser machen ,Schade das so einfache Gerichte und dazu noch ein Klassiker nich den Standart haben wie es sein sol .Führ dazu das ich beim nächsten stop in Kahrsruhe ein anderes Restaurant besuchen werde . Wir hatten für neun Keute gebucht und einen kleinen Raum zugewiesen bekommen. Es war war wohl der Raum des Vergessens, nach 35 Minuten haben wir uns einen Kellner gesucht der unsere Bestellung aufnahm. Getränke und Essen kamen dann relativ zügig. Zum Bezahlen mussten wir wieder jemanden suchen, denn nach Erhalt unserer Bestellung kam nie wieder jemand. Essen war, naja in Ordnung. Für die aufgerufenen Preise jedoch auch wieder nicht. Haxe war trocken, Klösse nicht durch. Wiener Schnitzel und Wirtshausschnitzel gut. Pommes ohne Kommentar, die schlechtesten die ich jemals zubereitet bekommen habe. Kautsalat lekker.

I had thrown a baby party for a friend during our visit. The staff was rather unusual, there were empty dishes on the table for too long. No further requests were asked. However, the food and the ambience were very good.

Today we celebrated my name day at Lehners in Karlsruhe. I became aware of it by chance and Google research on the train to Karlsruhe and it was clear to me from the menu that I wanted to go there. And we weren't disappointed! The chicken schnitzel with a strong cream sauce was anything but lame but had a lot of flavor. The meat was super tender and the spaetzle was definitely homemade. My friend had cheese spaetzle with a very good cheese that also tasted like something. The waiter was very friendly and very casual, which we also liked. The highlight was definitely the chocolate cake with liquid caramel center. A supreme discipline where you can do a lot wrong. Here and today it was completely different! The cake melted in your mouth like cream, the caramel core finished off the delicate melting. You can't do it 10/10 better! We'll be back!

We were at Lehners yesterday and sat down at one of the bar tables next to the counter (unfortunately no one came to assign us a table, even though we waited a few minutes at the entrance). Unfortunately we weren't served by any of the service staff. After waiting for a long time, we took matters into our own hands and ordered directly at the counter. Beer was ok, when our first round was finished, no one noticed us again and asked if we would like anything. Again we forced ourselves on each other and spoke to a waitress who was passing by. Sure, the order was taken, but even now no one asked us whether we would like to eat something or whether we needed anything else. Unfortunately, I have rarely experienced such poor service. It's a shame, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, I can't judge the food, so we went somewhere else to eat...

Wie waren mit 10 Leuten zum Essen Abends dort, Reservierung hat Super geklappt dazu waren die Bedienungen, super schnell und aufmerksam dazu auch gut drauf, hat wirklich Spass gemacht!! Essen war auch sehr gut, villeicht der Kaiserschmarrn hätte es bisschen anders sein können 😉😊😊

Der Service ist außergewöhnlich und sehr aufmerksam. Hier geht man auf keinen Fall durstig aus dem Lokal raus. Essen ist lecker, und der Tisch war sauber und die Platzierung gemütlich, so dass man sich gut unterhalten konnte. Hier werde ich wieder hingehen 😊

Zu einem Geschäftsessen waren wir mittags zu dritt im Restaurant und saßen bei bestem Wetter im Außenbereich. Es war noch relativ wenig los und so hatten wir die Aufmerksamkeit des Kellners fast uneingeschränkt für uns. Wir entschieden uns für 2 x Wurstsalat und 1 x Burger. Die Portionen hatten eine ordentliche Größe und allen schmeckte es. Fazit: für ein lockeres Mittagessen in Wirtshaus-/Biergartenatmosphäre perfekt.

We know Lehners from Rastatt and therefore decided to have dinner outside at Lehners on our last visit to Karlsruhe. The staff was very friendly and we were served quite quickly. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed with the food as the butcher's Maultaschen were too crispy and tasteless and the dark beer sauce was cold and very thin. We also discovered that the prices in Karlsruhe were much higher than in Rastatt and the portions were even smaller. In the end we had to wait a long time for our service so that we could pay. The ambience is certainly nice, but the toilet facilities are a bit old and the cleanliness of this place leaves a lot to be desired. We were very disappointed and will go to another restaurant in Karlsruhe next time.

Portions small, prices high! Neither of us were full, despite the high prices! It's cleared away even when someone else is eating - and the waiter doesn't understand what the problem is. Sorry, doesn't work at all.

The burger was very good, the atmosphere was really nice. However: For almost 20 EUR (!) I expect more on the plate. I don't like leaving a restaurant hungry. And it would be nice if the nice gentlemen from the service only cleared away after both of them had eaten. I made the criticism and heard "I can't do anything about that." Aha. I would like to go somewhere else in the future, the selection in KA is big 😊

Sat outside just wanted a dessert of Kaiserschmarrn and a coffee. The Kaiserschmarrn came very quickly, too quickly for my taste because you can't get it without raisins. Then a children's portion for an outrageous €9.00. The table and ashtray was not clean. When I pointed out the ashtray to her, she placed it as full as it was on the neighboring table where it then stood with another full ashtray and was still standing when we left. Simply rude I can't recommend it if you value good food and hygiene.

Hello, Last night there were seven of us who ate there and none of us were happy. The first thing we noticed was that the food was at our table too quickly and therefore wasn't really warm. I ordered the vegan bowl myself. However, calling this a bowl is a joke. It was a big salad and everything tasted like vinegar. I also had to spend €15 for it. The rest of the family had ordered vegetarian and meat dishes. These were definitely not worth their price, as my family members told me. In total we ate there for €180 and no one was happy. I definitely won't eat there again and won't recommend anyone to go there. In addition, the tables were far too close together, and every 5 minutes a waitress came and asked if everything was OK. The plates were cleared too quickly and due to all these factors the atmosphere was anything but comfortable.

Maybe this is the future of gastronomy in Germany... overwhelmed/overloaded waitresses and a sharp increase in prices. The Wirtshaus burger wasn't bad, although after an initial search I found the coleslaw confusingly right on the burger. But asking €19.50 for the thing is simply excessive. At the end, when we wanted to pay, the waitress wasn't in sight for a quarter of an hour. But no one else could step in and you couldn't pay at the bar either. I don't understand something like that. Otherwise everything is solid, great location of course on Ludwigsplatz.

Classic system catering. Tastes good to everyone and no one. Despite the fact that it says “inn love” and “brewing tradition” on the wall, this restaurant has shockingly little to do with tradition and inns. The service was slow and I just don't like the "chummy style". You can sit outside very nicely, but in my opinion that's the only plus point. It's nice there for an aperitif in summer.
