Very tasty food, friendly service, and a beautiful location near the cathedral. We had a delicious salad there.

Food with atmosphere, delicious.

The food was great, but upon payment, they only issued an interim bill, which isn't a proper bill. I observed this at all the tables next to us. Upon request, a proper bill was issued, reluctantly. Everyone is free to make up their own minds about this.

Superb little stop off point. Looks onto a small square/plaza off the main road through so reduced foot traffic.

The coffee and tea were generally fine. But charging almost €7 for a cup of fresh mint tea is a bit steep. Furthermore, asking what percentage tip you wanted to leave at checkout was pointless. No one would think of tipping for one coffee and an overpriced tea.

Service was good. The food, unfortunately, was not. The juice spritzer was still carbonated, and even after requesting it, I was either given the same amount again or with just as little carbonation. The spritzer was far too sweet. The food was also more like convenience food.

We tried the coffee there, which was espresso, cappuccino, and latte. The soufflé and pancakes were delicious. They also have tiramisu, but they serve alcohol. The staff were very polite and respectful. The one who greeted us was a foreigner and welcomed us. There was also an Arab employee who was very helpful and deserves a try.

Tucked beside the Frauenkirche, LEGER am Dom is one of those rare places that strikes the right chord, refined yet unpretentious. It’s an ideal pause if you’re meandering through Munich’s city center and want something more elevated than a tourist café. The staff here know how to read the room: gracious without hovering, attentive without fuss. A glass of Grüner Veltliner and a small plate, perhaps burrata or something seasonal, is all you need to reset. Come for the quiet elegance, stay for the way the light hits the stone around 4 p.m.

Very poor service. One scoop of old, already crystallized ice cream for €11! The Arab-looking waiter was very arrogant and condescending to two women wearing headscarves. He didn't want to serve them; a waitress had to come and take their orders. Very sad!

I was here for lunch and found the ambiance and staff very pleasant. The food, the €14.50 lunch menu (lemon and fennel risotto) + salad + bread, was excellent.

Unfortunately, I can really understand the bad reviews here: it's very windy, which makes the whole thing very uncomfortable, and the service is really poorly organized and inattentive. We waited until we were seated, allowed to place orders, received our orders, and were allowed to pay. Bad experience.

Cuando llegamos a la hora indicada, nos trataron como reyes y nos sentaron en un reservado privilegiado en la zona al aire libre. Los aperitivos estaban riquísimos y la pasta fenomenal. Una de mis compañeras de cena dijo que era mejor que cualquier comida Italiano que comió en su reciente viaje de una semana a Roma. Comimos, bebimos y bebimos un poco más de vino en un ambiente completamente relajado y agradable. Definitivamente lo recomiendo si estás buscando algo más que la comida tradicional Alemán .

Very nice atmosphere and average food for the price. The staff was very rude when we've had to pay. In the EU in general we do not have a culture of tips, and having had the staff ask for tips with impunity, it gives the whole experience an unpleasant feeling. I don't recommend this establishment.

I had breakfast there in the morning. Everything is a bit expensive, but the food was delicious. The freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious. 2 dl, 6 euros. The view was also nice. There was plenty of room when I was there.

Very well located, lots of people enjoying themselves, well prepared to enjoy...but expensive

I was seated very nicely, but after more than 30 minutes, I still hadn't been served. I asked the waiter twice, and still no one came. Thanks for stealing my time.

We were here for the first time today and were unfortunately very disappointed. The service was a complete disaster! Everyone in this place seemed overwhelmed. The first order arrived after a short time. The coffee was good, but the prices are obviously a bit higher for the location. That was fine so far. The problem was the second order. It was initially forgotten. It can happen. I then ordered again. Instead of an apology, however, I just got "I'm not in charge of the table." The other waiter then brought the bill. I then explained that I didn't want the bill, but another water. After 20 minutes, however, it still hadn't arrived. So I called the waiter over again and tried again. Unfortunately, there was never an apology, a smile, or anything friendly. When nothing came, we canceled the water and ordered the bill. However, the bill listed the water on it. So we called another waiter and explained that the water never arrived. There are always stressful days, and we were really understanding. But what bothered us most was the way we were treated: no apology, no smile, very unfriendly. We therefore cannot recommend the restaurant!

We were there on a Saturday morning, and the place was about 40% full. There's a sign at the entrance saying you'll be shown to a seat and you're asked to wait. So we lined up and waited. After five minutes of not being assigned a seat, we just sat down. Shortly after, the waitress came with the menu. We ordered a couple of drinks and something to eat. The drinks arrived after about 10 minutes. The food, however, took almost 40 minutes to arrive. And that was for a ham, cheese, croissant, and an omelet! The food was quite good, but these waits are unacceptable! Even when we wanted to pay and told the waitress, another 10 minutes passed before the bill arrived. I didn't want to tip for this lousy service, which was reflected in a dirty look from the waitress. I wouldn't recommend it.

Quality options for lunch and dinner. Respectful and helpful personnel. Highly recommended spot to eat in the centre of Munich! It's often full, so make sure to book a table in advance:)

Horrible service. They were clearly understaffed for a Saturday morning. Having waited to 20 mins to get Croissant and Sandwich that we ordered, I get to know that the waiter didn’t even add croissant to our order and told that the sandwich wasn’t ready since there were “100s” of people waiting for their order. We cancelled the sandwich, paid the the pancakes and coffee and just left. The ONLY good things were the pancakes.

Incredibly unfriendly and discriminatory

We were there for breakfast recently. The food was good and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Oh, and please introduce more coffee options. There's plenty of space during the week, but I would make a reservation on weekends.

What a shame. I'm visiting a friend from Cologne, and I wanted to show her the beautiful city. Although I know the shopping street is a touristy spot, I thought it couldn't hurt to try this lovely shop. Unfortunately, I've never experienced such unfriendly service anywhere in Munich. We felt like troublemakers and were treated very rudely by two waiters. Very unpleasant and a real shame. And for €6.50, the mint tea is also somewhat underwhelming.

So I'm thrilled with the Leger! Simply a dream! The waiter and waitress are just world class. What was particularly great when I paid with my cell phone was the notification that the amount had been debited from the warehouse. The waiter smiled and said: "Great! So I'm a warehouse clerk now!" . Recommended the tiramisu! Costs a fortune and is worth every penny!

Good dining experience, no need to wait, service staff. The fee includes a 10% tip, which may be high in Germany. My food is 25 euros and my tip is 3 euros.

Service was bad. Was difficult to get someone to take our orders. Staff took the orders of the tables beside us and chose not to take ours. Asked for someone to come and the guy said wait and only remembered to come back 10min later.

Nice location, clean toilets. We wanted to sit on the edge, but they said that these tables are only for 4 people. However, we discovered that this is possible and is not just an exception. What exactly is going on here? So, there won't be a next time!!

The Leger am Dom is a perfect place for me, from pinsa, tarte flambée to pasta dishes, everything is on offer here. Breakfast? No problem either, the wine selection is impressive. The ambience is definitely very pleasant, I find the warm light very pleasant in the evening. This is now my first port of call when I am in Munich. I can only warmly recommend the restaurant to everyone, the employees do a very good job. If you have a problem finding good coffee, you will definitely find it here. I personally very rarely feel really comfortable in restaurants, but the restaurant gives me a very pleasant feeling. My regular restaurant in Munich remains, my first address when I'm there. Can recommend a visit to everyone.

Very disappointing. Although the service was attentive and friendly, the pinsa was completely inedible - extremely salty. My feedback wasn't really taken into account and no exchange was offered. Customer friendliness apparently ends with the kitchen. Something like that doesn't work at all.

Very tasty food and very friendly service.

We came here for coffee and the chocolate soufflé. It was decent overall, but nothing amazing. The soufflé had a white chocolate filling, which surprised us (it’s written on the menu, but we were expecting the usual dark chocolate) Coffee ☕️ was fine, comes with a small cookie 🍪 We went during off-peak hours and sat outside, found a table easily. Desserts seemed pre-prepared since they arrived almost instantly. It could be considered on the expensive side, especially with the price increase — the soufflé went from around €9 to €12 💸, which feels a bit steep for what you get.

Arriving at 7, 5 minutes late, we were poorly received upon entry. Result: 1h30 wait for 3 pinsas and 4 plates of pasta, without any apology or commercial gesture. When we finally start to eat, we are rushed to order desserts because "the kitchen is going to close"... All for very simple dishes, not really good, at frankly high prices. A disappointing experience from start to finish. To avoid.

rotz der Tatsache, dass drei Tische für vier Personen frei waren, mussten wir als Zwei-Personen-Gruppe warten, bis ein Zweiertisch verfügbar wurde. Leider war die Wartezeit unangemessen lang. Die Mitarbeiterin, die für die Platzvergabe zuständig war, wirkte zudem sehr unfreundlich. Ein solches Verhalten habe ich so noch nicht erlebt. Ich werde dieses Lokal nicht erneut besuchen und kann es auch nicht weiterempfehlen.

Nos topamos con Leger al hacer turismo en Munich con amigos. Habíamos decidido parar a tomar algo y nos sentamos dentro. Una vez que habíamos completado nuestras bebidas decidimos preguntar si tenían reservas disponibles para más tarde en la noche, lo que hicieron. El restaurante tiene un ambiente funky, moderno y de estado muy nuevo, limpio. El personal era muy amable y la comida era excelente. El servicio fue rápido y eficiente con nuestros camareros apreciando nuestra falta de alemán y recomendó tanto la buena comida como las opciones de bebidas.

Wir wurden nett empfangen und bedient. Es werden auf wenig Raum viele Gäste zueinander gesetzt (etwas verteilt wäre doch angenehmer, da die Plätze meist rasch wieder frei werden). Ansonsten angenehme Lokation und sehr gutes Essen.

When I read the worse reviews, I think it must have been somewhere else. Okay, the prices are higher, but the quality of the food is excellent!!! The service was also friendly and quick, almost too quick when we took the food order because we hadn't all decided yet. And this despite the fact that the entire outdoor area and shortly after us half the location was full. The food also came quickly and was extremely tasty! The atmosphere is fantastic and you feel completely at home!

Unfortunately not good. Food incredibly expensive and subpar. Pinsa was frozen quality. The whole store was empty and there was probably a reason for that.

Salimos a comer tarde. Uno de nosotros pidió una pinsa, que es algo así como una pizza, y el otro tenía halloumi con verduras tibias. También tomamos una cerveza y un cóctel de spritz, que se suponía que contenía albahaca y pepino. En ninguna parte del menú decía que la bebida incluía azúcar o jarabe de azúcar. Cuando recibí la bebida y la probé, noté inmediatamente que contenía jarabe. Como esta bebida se hace tradicionalmente con vino y refresco, pedí una nueva sin el jarabe. La comida era, en el mejor de los casos, mediocre. Las verduras estaban demasiado cocidas hasta el punto de estar blandas, y la “pizza”, que era esencialmente una pizza de sartén hecha con ingredientes de calidad promedio, era grasienta y tenía queso que apenas tenía sabor. Nos preguntaron si queríamos agua, pero no mencionaron que costaría más. ¡La botella acabó costando 9 euros! Cuando recibí la bebida de reemplazo sin jarabe, me di cuenta de que habían cobrado por ambas bebidas. El camarero no pudo abordar el problema, así que vino el que parecía ser el gerente. De una manera muy típica alemana, explicó que como la primera bebida ya había sido servida y yo la había probado —después de todo, ¿de qué otra manera habría sabido que contenía jarabe?— no se podía devolver ni revender, por lo que tenían que cobrar por ambas. ¡Esta bebida cuesta 12 , 50 €! En total, comimos verduras calientes con queso, una pizza, una cerveza, un spritz, y agua, y la factura llegó a 75€. 50 . Este lugar es sin duda uno para evitar!

Had a great experience at Leger Am Dom! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal. We ordered the pumpkin soup, and it was absolutely delicious—flavorful and comforting. The service does take a bit of time, so patience is needed, but it’s definitely worth the wait. Special thanks to our waiter, Tariq, who was very attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. Would definitely recommend for those looking for a cozy dining spot in Munich!

Went there for dinner with 4 people this afternoon...so... If the LEGER AM DOM ..... wasn't at the cathedral, but not in this TOP location, they would have been BANK long ago! Service absolutely underground!!! We had that Feeling that we constantly have to apologize to the waiter for being there... want something to drink & eat... and at the END we also want to pay the huge bill! No moo, no moo... no please or thank you..... NOTHING.... just MUFFLE! Sorry we came! - NEVER AGAIN !
