LEGER AM DOM in München

Central restaurant in Munich. I think it is the most expensive coffee I have had in Germany. 2 espressos alone 10 euros 50 cents. The place is nice and the service is friendly.

We got the Chicken Cesar salad and Goat cheese Salad and they were both amazing. The waiter were super nice and friendly. Highly recommend on a low budget but high quality food.

Went there for dinner with 4 people this afternoon...so... If the LEGER AM DOM ..... wasn't at the cathedral, but not in this TOP location, they would have been BANK long ago! Service absolutely underground!!! We had that Feeling that we constantly have to apologize to the waiter for being there... want something to drink & eat... and at the END we also want to pay the huge bill! No moo, no moo... no please or thank you..... NOTHING.... just MUFFLE! Sorry we came! - NEVER AGAIN !

Great location, unfortunately the staff is very unfriendly. We waited a long time for a table and were then served poorly. Beer, like everywhere else, costs less than espresso or water and therefore the choice is almost obligatory.. Very nice and welcoming place in the center of Munich. They have HB on tap so many things demand to eat and drink. Advised

Je souhaitais prendre un vin chaud ou équivalent pour me réchauffer dans un Munich hivernal et je suis entré chez Leger avec mon épouse pour boire un verre... Elle a pris un chocolat chaud "sans crème chantilly" et moi un gluhweine Hendricks gluh-gin.. Un quart d'heure plus tard nous avions un cholocat chantilly et un gin avec des glaçons et un rondelle de concombre ! Nous avons eu beau d'expliquer a la serveuse asiatique que ce n'etait pas ce que nous avions commandé elle n'en avait rien a faire ! Mon épouse allergique a la crème et donc allée au comptoir pour faire refaire un chocolat sans chantilly et on lui a juste enlevé a la cuillère ce supplément indésirable...quand a moi... J'avais décidé de ne pas m'énerver ais j'ai laissé ce gin tonic concombre sur la table en payant une addition qui ne correspondait pas à notre commande et pour des produits non consommés... Nous sommes en période de fêtes et les autres clients n'ont pas besoin d'assister à un esclandre et mon épouse est beaucoup plus (trop !) gentille que moi... Donc on resume...on n'a pas ce que l'on commande...on paye plus cher et la serveuse asiatique est agressive... Donc a fuir !

Absolutely unacceptable. We found ourselves on December 26, the day after Christmas, where due to their "supposed" rush to serve, they presented an order to us before we had time to order....at least that's how it happened to us..... They forced us to offer what they thought, where there was almost a misunderstanding... We don't recommend it though.... Merry Christmas.......

Great restaurant right next to the Frauenkirche. Very friendly boss and our waiter Daniel also did a calm, good job. We were there on an Advent Saturday and enjoyed a very good birthday meal. The restaurant was full, from young families to many Christmas shoppers who were looking for some peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle. Everyone was there 👍

We order a coffee. We were denied a table to sit at the bar, supposedly because it was reserved for meals. Those who came after us were given that same table and they only came to a cafe anyway. The treatment was somewhat unpleasant.

After arriving in Munich and walking we decided to sit down and have a couple of beers. The Waiters were very rude and made us very uncomfortable. We had a couple of beers and left, but they ruined our experience of Munich for the first time.

To be fair, this is NOT a fine cuisine restaurant. This is a place to have beers and cocktails with friends. It is more a bar atmosphere. The service was good but people didn’t look happy. Overall I’m torn, the food was not good and too expensive. But the location and drinks were good.

We stopped by for drinks in the late afternoon. Since we didn't want to eat anything, we were directed to the bar (already full) or to a high table, which was unfortunately on the train to the winter garden. We weren't allowed to occupy the few empty tables because we didn't want to eat. I think that's a shame because it wasn't dinner time yet and we just wanted a round of drinks. The ordered Lillet Wildberry for €10.90 is poured from a pre-mixed Lillet Berry bottle and served with ice and 3 blueberries. I find that outrageous and an absolute disgrace for the price. The staff could be quicker, considering there wasn't much going on at that time. The waiting time for the drinks was about 15 minutes. At the same time, we observed a guest waiting at the bar for 10 minutes until he could finally pay. The ambience is really great, but the hospitality and service is unfortunately very poor.

We came to this restaurant by chance. Were warmly welcomed and brought to a beautifully set table. Drinks came to the table quickly and the delicious food didn't take long to arrive. On November 10th, 2024 we were out late after the football game in Munich. Despite the late time, we were able to choose our food in peace and without stress. The dishes were very well prepared and very tasty. Thank you very much for the very good service, you can't find it everywhere.

Das Ambiente des Leger ist angenehm, das Personal freundliche, aber nicht wirklich auf Zack. Es hat lange gedauert bis wir bestellen konnten. Die Spaghetti mit Burrata waren lecker durch die Burrata, aber die Tomatensauce war wie mit einer basic Würzmischung überwürzt und unseres Erachtens die selbe, die auf der Pinsa war. Der Pinsateig war nicht durchgebacken, eher weich und wurde immer mehr im Mund. Mit einen Caesar Salat mit Garnelen, einem Beilagensalat (mittelmäßige Dressings), zwei gläsern Wein und einer Flasche Wasser haben wir über 100 Euro bezahlt. Das war es bei weitem nicht wert, wir werden nicht wiederkommen. Es gibt zahllose bessere Italiener in München.

I'm generally too lazy to write negative reviews, but this establishment begs to warn future guests. Our culinary journey here was less a delight than a gastronomic disaster. The low point wasn't the McDonald's-level food, but the service. Because here you feel about as welcome as when visiting a tax auditor. We were really impressed by how the staff managed to avoid being unfriendly and indifferent. It's truly amazing how low you can sink when it comes to hospitality. Don’t leave your time nor money at this place. Incredibly rude and arrogant. My mother needed to sit down for a cold drink in a boiling hot weather and this was the closest option. The blond head waiter seemed almost offended about us being there, kept speaking German back though was speaking English to other customers. Very passive-aggressive service overall - throwing a straw in my drink, muttering something in German when we asked for anything and in the end thanking us on Russian for some reason. So cant tell, maybe the assumption of our nationality was what affected his attitude towards us, unacceptable either way.

The service was a disgrace. We ordered food and beer for two at lunch time, which was not very busy. The beers were delivered first, but the food arrived at least 45-50 minutes later, and they did not feel any embarrassment. The beers were already warm by the time the food arrived. Even though the table behind us arrived before us, they also waited at least 1 hour for food. So, if you are hungry or in a hurry, do not come. I do not recommend it. The service is very bad and the prices are not worth the high prices. However, you can go there for a drink because of the atmosphere, that's all.

Das Leger liegt im Herzen Münchens und man kann vor allem draußen sehr schön sitzen. Die Kellner waren freundlich, aber nicht wirklich auf zack. Wir mussten lange warten, bis wir unsere Bestellung aufgeben konnten. Das Essen war okay, wir hatten Spaghetti mit Burrata (lecker!) und Penne mit grünem Spargel und Pesto (nicht so lecker…hat geschmeckt wie Pesto aus dem Glas und den Spargel musste man mit einer Lupe im Essen suchen…). Kann man machen, aber wir würden eher nur für ein Getränk wiederkommen.

I asked the waiters what was going on with the dish and they told me it was in progress. (At the end came the number of lettuce leaves, 5 cherry tomatoes and burrata) The waiter rolled his eyes and was very unpleasant. I asked for a bill from three different waiters and none came.

This restaurant is really a joke. The service is poor and incredibly slow. We wanted to eat and have a beer, but the menu isn't even that good - plain and boring. We ended up having a beer (mind you, it took them 20 minutes to bring the beer).

We would have liked to have something to drink and eat in the “LEGER” at the cathedral. We were politely brought to the table. However, after that the service was lost somewhere. We waited 15 minutes for the service staff. Unfortunately no one came to the table so we left the restaurant. A pity. By the way, the prices are high!

Very tasty meal at a beautiful place next to the Cathedral. Service was fantastic even after a chaotic downpour after which we received enormous help. The lasagna, bolognese and Caesar salad with shrimp were definitely recommended. We would definitely come back here!
