We came here for a meal, and the food looked really appealing. Unfortunately, it wasn't anything special.

Small but perfectly formed and very tasty. The service was also good.

I ordered from there via Uber Eats. The summer rolls were tasty, and the sauce was good too. The duck dish was dry and had very little sauce. I was more than disappointed with the BunBo. The noodles arrived completely without sauce. There was no sauce on the salad either. So I spent €15 on a dish that was inedible. When I called, they didn't offer any solutions, just a curt "I don't know what to do."

The service and food were definitely okay… It's alright… The duck was very crispy!!!

All in all, a solid, good meal. However, I have the personal impression that it was significantly better a few years ago.

Today was our first visit to the Saigon Restaurant in Kassel. There were four of us, and we were all absolutely thrilled. The excellent service and the super friendly and attentive waitresses deserve special mention! I had the crispy duck with peanut sauce (which was a special request) and it felt like I was back on vacation in Asia. 😍 I especially liked that they also serve Saigon beer. It's a truly fantastic restaurant that we discovered while looking for something new—and we'll definitely be back!

I got food poisoning from this place. I didn't eat anything else for hours before eating here, and after eating here, I got sick 3 hours later. I ended up havong to go to the hospital and they kept me for the night.

The Saigon restaurant was chosen because of its proximity to the shopping street. The restaurant looks good, but is very reminiscent of a typical chain restaurant. The service was friendly and prompt. The food, unfortunately, was not convincing. The very quick service time suggested that it was more of a fast food option – which was confirmed. Only the sushi was freshly prepared; all other dishes were served from warming containers, which could be easily observed through the open kitchen. The vegetables were soft and tasteless, as was the rice. The chicken and duck were very tough. The sauce, advertised as a coconut milk curry, tasted mostly of cream and flavor enhancers. The sushi rice also had a poor consistency. **Conclusion:** The visually appealing ambiance leaves a better impression than the food itself.

We were in Kassel over the weekend and stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. It was a real hit. Very friendly service, delicious food (noodle dishes and sushi), and a lovely atmosphere. We'd love to come back.

We were there for lunch. The food was okay. A bit lacking in sauce and vegetables. Service could have been faster.

So, for around €15, I found the ramen noodles poor value for money. Personally, I found them/the dressings too bland in flavor. The little bit of meat was good. Estimated max 100g of chicken and 100g of dry noodles. A few mushrooms, kohlrabi?, and a few sprouts. Approximately 490 kcal for €15

Neotaste: The restaurant is listed in the app, which costs a monthly fee. However, you have to book the alleged discounts several days in advance. Today and tomorrow are simply deactivated. I find this a mockery. Then just leave the app alone.

I was a bit skeptical at first because of the outdoor ambiance, but the food pleasantly surprised me. The summer rolls are highly recommended – plenty of filling with a generous amount of shrimp 🍤 The mango salad is also great – super fresh salad and super crispy chicken breast. I'd definitely go back!

I went there for lunch. Getting a table was no problem (Friday lunchtime on a bridge day). They have a lunch menu with a good selection and very reasonable prices. I had the duck with fresh vegetables and rice. It was a large portion. It came with a lemonade. All for €18. The service was friendly and quick. I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience!

Unfortunately, I can't recommend the Saigon restaurant, even though the food itself is really delicious. The reason is the disastrous delivery service via UberEats. The couriers are often far too late, don't speak German, and seem completely overwhelmed. Even more annoying: The restaurant takes no responsibility and simply refers customers to the delivery service. This leaves you, the customer, with the problem on your own. My suggestion: urgently change your delivery service or stop offering delivery altogether – this service is damaging your restaurant's reputation.

We ordered the food via Uber Eats, after several delays the order was apparently canceled by the restaurant without comment after a wait of over two hours, leaving us hungry and disappointed. I have eaten at the restaurant there before and have always been happy with the food, so I am very disappointed with the restaurant's move. There was no additional compensation from the restaurant or Uber Eats, so the customer felt left out and alone.

Nice and well located restaurant in the city center. However, the food is of poor quality and unfortunately we didn't like it at all. The summer rolls were hard on the outside and only had lettuce and a strip of dry tofu on the inside. Unfortunately the sushi was an absolute disaster. When we brought this to the attention of the very friendly staff, we were only asked if we would like to take the rest with us. We then paid the full bill and left hungry. Maybe we just ordered the wrong dishes, but for the price, there shouldn't be any dishes on the menu like that.

The food was ordered via Uber Eats. The store has little control over the delivery service, but some spills and everything was cold (except for the lukewarm lettuce floating in sauce). I can personally overlook that if the food still tastes good, but one dish was inedible, overcooked, and unseasoned. Another beef dish consisted of a large block of noodles with a few vegetables, about eight dry beef chunks, and the aforementioned soggy side salad. The summer rolls are really tiny and not well filled. The worst part, however, was the mango salad. This consisted of a measly 5-6 mango strips, a bit of lettuce, and a few pieces of lukewarm tofu that tasted like water. Overall, it was really expensive; the prices are higher than the competition, where we'll definitely eat again next time. Everyone here is disappointed, even though their expectations weren't that high. What a pity.

We waited over an hour for the starter alone and another 1.5 hours for the main course. When the food was finally brought, it wasn't even the correct order. The quality of the food was at best the lowest Asian snack level. DISGUSTING, NEVER AGAIN ‼️‼️‼️

The Saigon Restaurant in Kassel impresses with good taste and tasteful furnishings. The portions are generous - even if you're a good eater, you'll definitely feel full here. The “schnitzel” in particular was served nice and hot. However, the beef dish could have used a little more meat. The overall taste is pleasant, but you can tell that the dishes have been adapted a little to suit the German palate. A slightly more authentic preparation or at least the option of more spiciness would be desirable. Price-performance ratio is right, therefore a clear recommendation for anyone who likes Vietnamese cuisine - with small compromises in terms of authenticity.

When it comes to sushi, we've never been disappointed here.

After 45 minutes of waiting, we finally got our food. The starter was forgotten, which was brought to the table after the main course. The waitresses came to us twice with the wrong drinks - overall the shop and the service seemed completely overwhelmed. Vouchers are not accepted, even though it says online that you can redeem them in Saigong. Long discussion with the manager of the store, but unfortunately he wasn't willing to accept the voucher. I won't eat in Saigong anymore.

When my parents come to visit, Saigon is plan A when it comes to restaurants in Kassel. The selection is great and the dishes are really tasty. Every now and then I also order something to pick up, and the service is always great! Will come again!

Every time I've been here the food has been absolutely delicious and the staff has been great. As soon as you come in you are greeted warmly and given a table. You get your food pretty quickly and the staff check on you often. Plus, the food is pretty cheap and you can get a fortune cookie at the end.

Very simple preparation and ingredients. I don't need to go there anymore. Why Sagoin Chicken is 2 pieces of meat with a splash of sauce and the rest of 2 broccoli and cauliflower florets has no taste. And that for 15.5 €. Nope

Unfortunately too many criticism points

The restaurant now has a new name – “Saigon” – and the menu has been changed slightly, with some dishes removed and others added. We used to love coming here to eat sushi, but unfortunately the quality has deteriorated a lot. It's unclear if this is related to the new ownership, but the sushi was definitely better under the old name. Now you almost only get rice - yes, the sushi are big, but they are made almost entirely of rice. And this rice has no taste: you only feel that it is sticky, but nothing else. The rice is simply tasteless. It's a real shame that this place, which we used to visit so often and with pleasure, has declined so much.

My favorite restaurant for years. Drive an extra 45 minutes there. Surprisingly noticed a name change yesterday. Unfortunately, with the change the quality also went down. In short, the beef was subpar, my breaded duck on vegetables was a shoe sole. I loved this dish at le Vie. Service was ok. It's a shame I won't be coming back. P.S. The prices have also increased significantly, which is a disgrace considering the current quality.

I can only agree with the other reviews. I went to Le&Vie once a week for a while. Very good cuisine, good service and fair prices. Now it's called Saigon and it will be my first and last time under a new name. The quality has decreased, the service is not good. The dish from the lunch menu, which cost around €9 back then, now costs €13.50 and the beef is of poorer quality. The good reviews are still from Le&Vie and have nothing to do with Saigon. I definitely recommend Pho Vang a few meters away, a world of difference

We had something delivered to us by the restaurant. One dish was delivered without a lid and therefore completely leaked in the bag. When we called asking for compensation, we were simply told that the delivery was no longer their problem and that they would therefore do nothing more. The service is really subpar and we should have left the 50 euros at another restaurant. So overall a really disappointing experience.

The Le&Vi has been gone for a few months and is now called Saigon. Unfortunately the two have nothing in common!! All the older reviews are from Le&Vi! I am more than disappointed with the new restaurant. The service is not good and the food is also worse. We had ordered: 1 large bottle of still water 1x Vegan Crunch no. 83 was ordered/shown exactly as it was and was written down as such 1x udon soup with tofu 1x Fried vegetables with tofu It started when we took the picture, despite showing it carefully, we got 2 small bottles of sparkling water. After we had them returned, one came with sparkling water, then the one we had ordered. Something like that happens, it's not a big deal. We continued with the starter, Vegan Crunch, which didn't come, but our main course did. The udon soup should contain mushrooms and king oyster mushrooms. You could look for these with a magnifying glass. There were visible vegetables and mushrooms in the LE&VI, which also highlighted the soup. When we asked when our Vegan Crunch was coming, the young waitress said it would be there soon. Vegan crunch? Yes. She came with something else that wasn't vegan. We kindly let this go back and said again that we had ordered Vegan Crunch. When it finally came, I tried it and found the taste a bit strange, and the tofu also looked strange in the sushi roll. After trying it again, I told my companion that it tasted like chicken. So I called the waitress again and asked... ohhh I understood Chicken Crunch!! Really now??? There is a reason why I order VEGAN. I'm not allergic to milk or gluten, but what if it happens to someone who is?! The excuse was that we weren't charged for the sushi, and I definitely wouldn't have paid for it. All in all, this was the worst evening in this restaurant. Even an email directly to the restaurant didn't give us a good feeling about going there again! The restaurant takes it as an operational experience to improve somewhat as the kitchen concept is being restructured. A restructuring has already taken place!! New and smaller menu, different portions, much smaller portions. The quality of the service can also be improved, especially when it comes to language and communication, so that such mistakes do not happen.

It also took a relatively long time until we finally received our food. Unfortunately, the food was relatively boring and lacked any sophistication. I ate there on July 13th, 2024 and what can I say, the food is super good, there was sweet and sour duck and spring rolls as a starter, but unfortunately the service was rather the opposite.. it wasn't even asked during the meal or afterwards you still had to drink something. In addition, we waited over an hour for the food because the Suess Sauer sauce was empty... you could have said that right when you took your order and not while you were already sitting and looking forward to the food 😅

The food is very tasty and fresh. The portions are plentiful. I now prefer to eat there at lunchtime because it gets quite busy in the evening and unfortunately the service takes a little longer. Otherwise everything was great.
