Giving one because zero is not on the scale. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. Ridiculous dishes (quality, quantity, waiting time, you name it), impolite and unprofessional staff. Worst experience ever in Berlin.

Was waiting a long time for a chance to eat at this place, which I heard good things about. Admin was good. The service was great, but the food was below average. The best dishes for example the soup was okay. The main courses were just not good and the dessert which is usually the restaurants time to shine and leave us with a good memory was just plain.

From the welcome to the espresso, it was a wonderful evening for us. The atmosphere is casual, the service friendly, accommodating, and warm. The food is of good quality and very deliciously prepared. The menu price includes water and a small selection of wines (we had the rosé, which complemented the dishes pleasantly). I deducted a small amount because I think the plates should have been warm, as the pasta course and the main course in particular got cold very quickly. We had a lot of fun, our stomachs were full, but unfortunately, the journey from Bavaria is a bit far to enjoy the Lavanderia more often. AND THAT'S A SORRY SADNESS. It was our first time there. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and shown to our reserved table. The ambiance has a special charm, a bit as if it had been a laundry yesterday. We ordered the five-course menu. The service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. The individual courses were served with pleasant pauses and met our expectations in every way. It was an all-round successful evening. We would gladly return.

Based on the location and the "tapas" offered in an Italian restaurant, we chose Lavanderia Vecchia. Situated in a rather unique neighborhood, you have to look carefully before finding the entrance. First, through a tunnel, then across a courtyard, another tunnel, and the entrance is on the courtyard side. The restaurant is located in a former restaurant, and it shows. It has a very intimate atmosphere with a full view of the kitchen. After a warm welcome, the "tapas" turned out to be a fixed-price menu. This price includes all drinks. So, all wines, as long as you choose the house wine (there is a wine list), coffee with/after dessert, and a delicious limoncello. We had two antipasti, a primo, secundo, and dessert. This time with a fish theme. Delicious, beautifully presented dishes with very unique flavors that were surprisingly delicious. Highly recommended!

This is a very special hidden gem. The whole experience was just filled with so much joy and warm hospitality. The vegetarian and omnivore menu were both so delicious and very well cooked, seasoned and served. The service is more than atypical for berlin standards - we had to ask for nothing, they were well organized and wonderfully welcoming. We‘ll definitely come back soon.

This place really seamed to be like a good find, open kitchen, nice staff and overall a interesting interior design… For the money you have to spend to eat here i would have excpected something way different, the food looked awful, there was no special taste, the wine was cheap refilled and the overall menu made our stomach feel sick. I can not recommend this place at all and all the positive reviews really make me doubt about some peoples culinary experiences, this is not a good place and not worth your money!

Excellent menu - all courses tasted excellent. Service was very friendly and relaxed, attentive without being annoying, exactly as it should be. A little too loud, perhaps, in the old laundry room when all the tables are occupied and the guests are fine. But otherwise it was a perfect evening. It took me a while to find the pedal next to the sink...

Nice idea with an unusual location (former laundry) and very friendly service. The concept is nothing new but still good! The composition of the menu was very good and the menu changes every 2 weeks as far as I know. All dishes tasted good to very good. Only the lamb chop was too fatty for me personally and didn't taste good. The portion sizes were always sufficient and we went home full and satisfied at the end. Although the kitchen is open and integrated directly into the restaurant, the air was fine and we didn't smell too much of the food after our visit. :) Everything is still within a reasonable price-performance ratio. Sure, over 60 EUR per menu is a lot of money, but everything was fresh and high quality.

Typical tourist trap. The dishes had nothing to do with Italian cuisine (e.g. carrots with peas or mandarin pudding with mango and kiwi) with the exception of the spaghetti with pesto - which I don't expect in a menu for €62. The service left a lot to be desired, but later we met a very friendly employee. You get the feeling that the costs are the main focus at all points (e.g. all dishes are placed in the middle of the table to be shared, which you could then take yourself, with spaghetti for example very inconvenient, you are asked to keep cutlery and plates for several courses). However, espresso, bread and wine and ambience were very fine.

Props to the space and the design. Overall aesthetic is just so cool featuring an open kitchen with an industrial vibe and an old school washing sink in the middle of the restaurant. I can’t rave enough about the creativity behind the design of the space. There are even hand sown linen hanging from a laundry line. The details are truly exemplary. I stopped in for lunch with a group and service was great, they were super generous with the wine pours. Unfortunately, the pasta dish was underwhelming. It was quite cold actually but it turns out that was the ricotta perhaps. Nonetheless, presentation looked great with purple sauce and what not but it doesn’t matter if it doesn’t taste good. So overall, cool look but not so good in taste.

After we saw the restaurant in Mein Lokal-Dein Lokal some time ago, we wanted to try it out while visiting Berlin. Yesterday the time had come. Shortly after 6 p.m. we were there after making a reservation online. This place surprised us immediately from the moment we entered. Yesterday's menu: ANTIPASTI Vellutata di ceci con bidol (chickpea cream soup with chard) Radicchio tardivo di Treviso lardellato with rent and still(Radicchio with white bacon, honey and walnut) PRIMI: Pasta fatta in casa con salsiccia di cinghiale e funghi (homemade pasta with wild boar sausage and mushrooms) SECONDA: Fettine di vitello con cime di rapa e pure di patate dolce (Thin slices of veal shank with stalk mush and sweet potato puree) DOLCE: Millefogilia (puff pastry) included 1/2l white wine or red wine per person and Aqua minerale alternatively 2 beers or 2 soft drinks. Caffe e digestivo al bar with a nice conversation with the boss. We felt so comfortable. We love Italy very much and have visited it many times. This Lavanderia could also have been in Naples, Sorrento, Genoa or Sicily. Chapeau keep it up. Kind regards and thank you for the wonderful evening.

Disappointing. The setting and the atmosphere are really nice, service was good, but the quality of the food was not quite at the level you would expect for this price. Appetizers were good, but the main courses were just average and the wine tasted like a 3€ bottle from the späti.

Very unusual ambience, super friendly staff from the chefs to the wait staff. There are 2 menus to choose from, each with 4 starters, two main courses and dessert. Plus a bottle of wine for every two people, red, white or rosé. Price/performance are excellent. Then why deduct a star? I miss a menu with fish but no meat. And while the lighting under the tables looks very charming, I'd rather see what's on my plate. It was too dim for me.

A very good surprise in the Tempelhof district, this restaurant is worth the detour. Italian specialties made on site, everything is fresh and of high quality. The place is very cute. To do without hesitation!

Very tasty dinner, no problem switching a course to the vegetarian version because a fish component just wasn't our thing. In addition to the excellent food, what is particularly noteworthy is the hospitality of the hostess, daughter of the original owners and incredibly warm, natural and friendly. It's just a pleasure to be her guest. Excellent food and great ambience

Ein lange gehegter Wunsch sollte in Erfüllung gehen… die Enttäuschung wurde mit jedem Gang größer. Unausgewogener Geschmack trotz toll klingender Beschreibung, Salz: Mangelware. Kein Gericht bot einen Zungenzauber und optisch …? 3 Stunden, was eigentlich toll ist, nur hatten wir Hunger zwischen den Gängen. Der Service fragte bei der leeren Wasserflasche auch 20min nicht nach, erst als wir Ihn baten. Auch schade: es wurde nicht einmal gefragt, ob es geschmeckt hat, oder wir noch etwas benötigen würden. Bei der Bezahlung alles wie im Supermarkt: 118€, danke, auf Wiedersehen…. Einmal und das wars.

Very good food. A creative mix of tradition and modern cuisine. The restaurant is a former laundry and is therefore decorated with great attention to detail with washing utensils from the past. In the evening there is a menu with several courses at a fixed price including drinks. I've been there for dinner several times and I also like to invite friends there.

Sehr leckeres Menü, nicht absolute Spitzenküche (auch kein absoluter Spitzenpreis!) aber gut abgestimmt, und sehr wohlschmeckend. Bei einem Gang war das Gemüse etwas verkocht, aber das hat den ansonsten sehr positiven Eindruck in keinster Weise geschmälert. Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service, keine Wartezeiten - top! Interieur ist besonders, typische Berliner Location Kreativität, die uns zumindest ein Lächeln ins Gesicht gezaubert hat. Gestört hat die enorme (Gesprächs-) Lautstärke, bei der kaum eine Unterhaltung ohne erhobene Stimme möglich war. Dieses Problem haben leider sehr viele Restaurants, weil der (Un-)Wohlfühlfaktor Lärm oft unterschätzt wird. Hier könnte man das allerdings mit ziemlich geringem Aufwand wesentlich verbessern. Ebenfalls Luft nach oben (im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes) beim Dunstabzug. Offene Küchen sind zwar super und ein Hingucker - aber nicht wenn danach die ganzen Klamotten danach riechen ... Bei durchaus fairem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis dennoch empfehlenswert, vor allem wenn einen die o.g. Kritikpunkte nicht stören.

A married couple, my wife and I were once again eating at the Lavanderia Vecchia restaurant. We were very excited! The five course meal was great! I would particularly like to highlight the veal saltimbocca. We really enjoyed the wine (rosé). The service is simply great and refreshing and very personal. We really enjoyed the coffee specialty and the digestif. It was another wonderful experience. Thank you.

You have to look at Lavanderia Vecchia as an overall experience. The backyard restaurant is located in an old industrial laundry room and makes this a highlight: simple furniture, clotheslines and towels on the ceilings and a decidedly uncomplicated ambience with lots of humor. Exactly two menus are offered, one of which is vegetarian. The food is simply brought to the table in large bowls from which you can help yourself. In addition to the four courses, the fixed price of €60 also includes bread, water and a genuine house wine (empty bottles are immediately refilled). The staff is quick and relaxed and the grappa at the exit rounds off the experience. The consistently high quality of the food alone might not justify the price, but the overall concept works and makes you want to come back.

Special ambience, attentive service, good concept

Es war ein fabelhaftes, kulinarisches Erlebnis. Die Gänge waren sehr gut aufeinander abgestimmt, kamen in ausreichend zeitlichen Abstand. Als Gast hatte man den Eindruck wirklich jederzeit wahrgenommen und besonders wertgeschätzt zu werden. Der Service und das Konzept des Lokals überzeugten rundweg und können nur nachdrücklich zum Besuch empfohlen werden.

Sehr leckeres Essen, guter Service und eine angenehme Atmosphäre, ud das alles in einem sehr originell eingerichteten Lokal, wo es auch etwas fürs Auge gibt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We chose this highly rated Italian restaurant for a special meal on a special day, but they even served the first bread salad without burrata to the table. I can say that the pasta that arrived was a disgrace and beyond. If we had microwaved something at home and eaten it, I'm sure it would have been more delicious. I just liked the lighting on site.

Finally Italian cuisine like it is cooked in Italy. Price performance (59.- for the 5 course menu including 1 bottle of water and 1 bottle of good wine, café and digestive) is very good. Antipasti: Caponata and Insalata di Pulpo simple but very good. Prime: Homemade pasta with swordfish, olive, etc. extremely tasty with equally fine flavors. Secondo: Salmon fried with green asparagus (2 pieces!) and a very neutral cream. Unfortunately, it was a bit bland compared to the dishes we previously enjoyed. Dolce: Cheeskake with strawberry topping/fruit was delicious. Hans goes home satisfied and will definitely come back. 🖖😎

This laundry is an expensive canteen. The food was boring. Lots of courses, everything somehow the same, except for the soup and the espresso (which was excellent, though). Service is unprofessional, seems cool or overly nice. I was there a year ago and the store had a top menu. There doesn't seem to be anything left, except for the glowing beer mats. I won't be coming back for a while.

Restaurante italiano com menu fechado que muda a cada 5 dias. Como couvert tem uma focaccia deliciosa, além dos pratos 2 entradas, massas, carne e sobremesa inclui meia garrafa de vinho por pessoa . We were here in a large group! Unfortunately everything was either unsalted, over-salted or straight out of the canteen! Please try to define the dishes and not change them too often! The potential is there, but the taste also has to be an experience.

Great atmosphere and amazing food. The restaurant is very well decorated with dim lighting and there’s a smoking room in the back for smokers. The food was outstanding, and you get your money’s worth. Delicious Italian dishes and a very good house wine. The fix price includes 2 appetizers, 2 mains, fantastic bread, desert, unlimited sparkling water, a bottle of wine, coffee, and a digestif. We had the vegetarian menu which was a real treat. Pro tip: if you go for dinner definitely skip lunch because it’s a lot of food 😋 The only cons I saw were: -The open kitchen isn’t very well ventilated so if you’re sitting next to it you’ll have the kitchen grease smells. (Not that the food was greasy, but just that classic food-cooking-in-oil smell from big kitchens) -Some of the dishes were slightly over-salted. Overall it was a great experience and the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion such as birthday or anniversary.

Der Empfang war nett, das Ambiente ist super und das Konzept an sich finde ich persönlich sehr gelungen. Ein 5 Gänge Menü mit Getränken für den Preis ist toll aber das Essen hat überhaupt nicht überzeugt. Die Menge war mehr als ausreichend aber es hat in jedem Gericht an Geschmack und Kreativität gefehlt. Ich würde sogar soweit gehen, dass nicht Mal die basics erfüllt waren z.B. eine Pasta mit Meeresfrüchten an der kein Knoblauch ist, ein Stück Lachs an dem die Haut nicht knusprig ist und einem Dessert was ein Catering Service mindestens genauso gut hinbekommt. Wenn ich zu einem 5 Gänge Essen gehen auch in der niedrigsten Preisklasse möchte ich kulinarisch überrascht werden und keine Standard Gerichte bekommen welche ich mir ohne Aufwand zu Hause selber kochen kann. Der Focus sollte auf dem Geschmack und der Qualität der Zutaten liegen und das wurde hier einfach nicht erfüllt.

Meine Frau und ich haben hier zu Mittag gegessen. Die kleine, feine Mittagskarte war sehr interessant und das Essen sehr lecker. Vor allem die günstigen Getränkepreise fand ich sehr sympathisch. Ein Liter Wasser für 1,80 Euro und ein Espresso für 1,00 Euro, das habe ich wirklich noch nirgendwo anders gesehen.

Sadly overpriced. 17 euro per un piccolo sformatino di patate è stata una delusione. Bella location.
