Rating 1/10 For me once and NOT AGAIN 😖 Family celebration / 30+ people When you enter, the Latino makes a visually round and appealing impression. Unfortunately, shortly after the first part of our group sat down, the first disagreements arose. When we made our reservation, we were told that due to our group size we would have the entire room to the left of the main entrance available. However, without asking us first, tables in this room were suddenly occupied by guests who did not belong to our group. When we pointed this out, the waiters suddenly began hectically carrying beer garden tables and chairs into the room where the missing guests from our large group were supposed to sit - A NO GO! We then solved the problem ourselves by simply moving something together to accommodate the remaining people at our tables. But then the disaster really started... The waiters were hopelessly understaffed, it took from 7 p.m. to around 7:30 p.m. before the first drinks were taken, but to be honest they were brought out very quickly. We had to actively ask for it 3 times before we were finally allowed to order our food. The chaos began... We order food at around 7:45 p.m. - surprisingly, those who had ordered it first didn't get their food first... after about 30 minutes of waiting, our first table received its dishes and the rest of us were happy that the food seemed to go quickly - BUT FAR FROM THE MISS! After these first dishes were received, we waited for over an hour (with small children) until the next food came to the tables. But then the knot broke and the dishes came to the tables quickly and completely 1¾ hours after ordering. The taste of the food was okay, but nothing that would make you cheer. In general, there was too little and incorrect communication with the guest. When I asked how long it would take to eat (especially for the children), they were rudely told that "...it just takes time to make fresh food...". YES, it takes - but not 1 hour and 45 minutes! If only they had said from the start: "Dear guest, be careful, you are a large group, it may take a little longer until everyone has their food. Here you get a few baskets of bread with dips and a few bowls of nacho chips on the house, to combat your first hunger and to appease you Children😉👍." WHOOSH, the matter would have been defused, everyone would have known where they stood and everything would have gone smoothly. You could also say a word about the prices... An enchilada filled with chili con carne with half a handful of mozzarella gratinated and 3 tablespoons of rice on the side - for OVER 16 EUR!? Well, I won't pay for it a second time. Also annoying: soft drinks (Cola, Sprite etc) are only available in 0.2 bottles... that's a thimbleful and not a size suitable for a restaurant that a guest would like to order with their meal. (But of course the margin is larger). Unfortunately, I have to say that this was the first and last time I visited Latino as a guest. Edit 07/30/24: Wow - after almost a year there is a response to an honest review that was created by the collaboration of 30 guests in a large group. Unfortunately no insight or acceptance of the criticism. Otherwise, "you can only laugh at the review" ... that gives a deep insight into the interpretation of service and hospitality. But well, this shed is a waste of time for every guest in our group.

Good food and the staff were on their toes. When we came for dinner on a Saturday, the place was very busy and we were seated at a table in the middle of the dining room. For our taste, it was very loud there and we had a hard time having a conversation. The waiting times were reasonable given the large number of guests, but we found the prices for the food to be a bit too high. Better call to reserve a table; Our online reservation was not in the restaurant's system when we arrived, even though we had received a confirmation email.

Simply top👌🏽 can only be highly recommended, the food and the guest friendliness can't be topped ❣️

There were 6 of us here for dinner. The decor is nice and modern, the service could have been more attentive. If the glasses are empty, you should ask if you would like anything else. I found the starter platter for €40 too expensive for what was there. The starters came quickly, but we had to wait quite a long time for the main courses. The food was ok, but we've eaten much better. It was just average. The cocktails were delicious and at happy hour prices. Gladly again for a drink, but probably not for food. Prices were still ok.

As sorry as I am, the fish isn't worth the broth. In German: cold Uncle Ben's rice as a side dish to the enchilada. The fairer white was delicious. After the temperature of the filling side dish was pointed out, the answer was: I'll let the cook know Gladly never again. Kind regards

The enchilada was really good. Ordered fries instead of rice and paid €4.80 more for them, which was an absolute disgrace!!

Excellent food at Latino Restaurant

Ambiance is an interesting mix of Kölsch and Tappas Bar, very cozy. The service - the boss himself - and the great colleagues are super nice and the recommendations should definitely be tried. The spareribs are amazing… we’ll definitely be back.

Recommendation from a regular guest, gladly again

We went to Latino quite often... sometimes to eat, sometimes just to have a drink. It is always well attended, but even without a reservation, the team always tried hard and was flexible to give us a place. The food tastes excellent. You shouldn't expect your food to be on the table within 15 minutes as everything is freshly prepared. I would like to give the kitchen a little more time. The prices are perfectly fine. My favorite: calfskin! I could eat it every day! The cocktails are also great! You have to be careful not to order one after the other! 😱😅 The entire service team and the boss are really super nice and make sure to make all of the guest's wishes possible. We'd love to come back soon!

Were there for the second time now, but the good reviews don't really make sense. Drinks and cocktails are good, but at the price it's the minimum and the food isn't anything special either. It's more like frozen food that sells at a high price. So chicken schnitzel is industrial waste stuck together, well breaded and fried very crispy. The burger, well, when I make it myself at home, it tastes exactly the same and the meat is even better. Service is well, as others have already said here, if you're not a regular you'll have to wait 40-60 minutes for simple dishes. More like 60 minutes. I was also there once when Bayer Leverkusen played and it's not a restaurant, it's more of a shouting bar where drunks talk while shouting and it looks like the owner of the restaurant also shouts along. It can be done with pleasure, but perhaps in private or in your own area, you didn't understand your own words and when you had to wait almost 50 minutes to eat, it was great to keep quiet about the other person who had been invited to a nice meal. Really, you can forget about the price because you could go to a real restaurant instead of some overpriced pub.

On the occasion of my birthday, we had a great evening with family and friends and were ALL completely satisfied. Everything just fit. I was particularly happy about a surprise from the operators and am happy to recommend the location!

Es war ein rundum gelungener Abend , den ich anlässlich meines Geburtstages dort mit einer gemischten Gesellschaft aus Familie und Freunden verbringen durfte. Alle waren vollstens zufrieden, weil Essen, Service und Atmosphäre stimmten. Zusätzlich hat es mich außerordentlich gefreut, dass es seitens der Restaurantleitung eine tolle Überraschung für mich gab.

celebrated a christening there today - the food selection and quality were really great and deservedly awarded 5 points. The owner was super friendly and attentive and always tried to fulfill our wishes and culinary cravings. Conclusion: an all-round successful celebration in a great location. Will be guests there more often in the near future.

Due to many good reviews, we decided to try Latino today. Unfortunately we were disappointed 😞. Even assigning the table was subterranean, because it was “welcome”. After we were “allowed” to order a cocktail, we were asked twice for the order, but we didn’t have it ready yet because we wanted to enjoy our cocktail first. After that we were overlooked for a long time, it wasn't overly crowded at that time 🙄. The order was then taken, not a kind word, nothing to indicate that we were welcome guests... we then waited over half an hour for bruschetta and tomato/mozzarella 🤔. I had the wine refilled because I don't see the point of paying €5.90 for less than 0.15l. It certainly didn't go down well, there was no apology. The main course, two pasta dishes, also took a long time to arrive, but at least it was tasty. I can't understand the many good reviews, our evening was disappointing! Food good, ambience good, service above all else. Not recommendable!

Great restaurant, can be recommended without reservation. The food and drinks were very tasty, the service was attentive and courteous. Great and cozy atmosphere. Prices are fair in my opinion. We went during the week without a reservation as we stayed at the hotel next door.

Nice restaurant with good food. The service was great and always present. The restaurant was well filled. The volume was quite good. When everyone had their food it became a little quieter. You can also linger here after dinner and have a cocktail or a beer. We felt good. The restaurant was still full later on. That speaks for itself. We'd love to come back.

Daily specials are delicious, as well as the enchiladas but keep some room for the desserts! Warm brownie and cheesecake too good to leave any crumbs behind :). Ps: they make a great Cuba Libre 🍸

Last night we went to Isa's Latino again and we already know why we like being there so much. The food was once again perfect. Whether enchilada or BBQ spare ribs or whatever else is on the menu, everything is simply delicious and always freshly prepared! You should share the Latino nachos first. Very tasty gratinated with a top Italian mozzarella. The same goes for the cocktails! The whole thing is rounded off by boss Isa and his super friendly and attentive team. You are particularly welcome here as a family with children. To put it briefly...we once again had a great evening in a lovely atmosphere and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Gestern Abend waren wir wieder einmal bei Isa im Latino und wir wissen schon, warum wir so gerne dort sind. Das Essen war wieder einmal perfekt. Ob Enchilada oder BBQ Spareribs oder was auch sonst auf der Karte steht, alles ist einfach super lecker und immer frisch zubereitet! Vorab sollte man sich die Nachos Latino teilen. Ganz lecker mit einem top italienischen Mozzarella überbacken. Gleiches gilt für die Cocktails! Abgerundet wird das ganze durch Chef Isa und sein super freundliches und aufmerksames Team. Gerade als Familie mit Kindern ist man hier herzlichst willkommen. Um es kurz zu sagen...wir hatten wieder einmal einen tollen Abend in einem schönen Ambiente und freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

The cocktails 🍸 were really great despite happy hour, really tasty and beautifully garnished. Then came the food and the taste was allowed to somersault again. The boss is looking for contact with the guest and is simply interested in your well-being, really great. Thank you for the lovely evening 👍

Superschöner Abend bei Isa und seiner Crew. Auf Empfehlung eines Freundes besucht. Gutes Essen, gepflegte Getränke und eine wirklich schöne Atmosphäre. Man fühlt sich, wie zu Hause. Eine echte Empfehlung für einen schönen Abend in Leverkusen. Die Karte bietet für jeden etwas egal, ob vegan oder mit Intoleranzen, vor allem aber für Fleischfresser mehr als geeignet. Tipp: besser reservieren!

Nous logions à l’hôtel et avons choisi de ce restaurer au LATINO, quelle belle surprise ! Cuisine maison et équilibrée pour les amateurs de légumes ! Plats copieux, prix raisonnables et un patron aux petits soins. Dommage que nous sommes si loin, ce restaurant serait dans nos favoris.

Wir waren mit sechs Leuten dort. Sehr schönes, helles Ambiente. Die Männer vom Service sind schnell, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Keiner wartet lange auf seine Getränke. Auch nicht zur Happy Hour. Da gibt es die Cocktails reduziert. Wir hatten alle verschiedene Speisen. Alles war richtig gut und lecker sowie ansprechend angerichtet. Der Chef des Hauses ist auch noch sehr nett!!!! Wir kommen wieder und freuen uns!!!!!

In jeder Hinsicht eine gute Entscheidung 👌 Sehr leckeres Essen, eine tolle Atmosphäre und freundlicher Service 👌

Ich hab mir die anderen Bewertungen durchgelesen und muss sagen: Ja, das Essen ist recht teuer (Fajita mit Roastbeef 23,90 und Enchilada mit Gambas 19,90). Aber das Essen war lecker, es gab hinterher keine Magenprobleme und leider sind viele Restaurants sehr teuer geworden. Auf der anderen Seite: Die Pommes haben 4,80 Euro gekostet. Da habe ich woanders an dem Wochenende 5,50 Euro ausgegeben. Ich finde auch 4 Euro noch zuviel, aber es zwingt mich keiner Essen zu gehen! Die Fajita hat leider nicht gebruzzelt auf dem Eisenteller und es hätte etwas mehr Brot geben können. Die Cocktails waren klassische Cocktails die man in so einer Mexikanischen Bar/Restaurant erwarten kann: Lecker und nicht so teuer. Der Besitzer ist auf jeden Fall kinderfreundlich und mein Kind hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt und wurde nett und mit Respekt behandelt. Deswegen kann ich andere Bewertungen nicht verstehen. Aber mein Sohn ist auch leise, höflich und gut erzogen und kein anti-autoritär-nicht-erzogenes-Krawallkind was durch die Gegend rennt und schreit. Ich bin nicht aus der Gegend und würde aber gern nochmal wiederkommen. Achso: Apfelschorle war 0,3 und hat gekostet 3,60 Euro (es gibt also durchaus Getränke nicht nur in 0,2)

Das Essen ist nicht schlecht, jedoch sehr teuer und bei größeren Bestellungen braucht die Küche länger als man erwarten würde. Bei kleineren Gruppen funktioniert es jedoch besser.

Wunderbares Essen bei bestem Service und schönem Ambiente. Die Bedienung begrüßte uns stets mit einem Lächeln als wir über 5 Tage jeden Abend dort gegessen hatten. Durch nette Gespräche und häufiges Erscheinen ergaben sich für uns der ein oder andere Cocktail aufs Haus was unsere Laune nach einem langen Tag stets gehoben hatte. Wenn ihr ein Restaurant in der Nähe sucht, dann entscheidet euch für dieses.

Ich schreibe das nicht oft zu einem Restaurant, aber dieses hier war hervorragend.

Sehr nettes Personal. Waren grade da sehr netter Chef und sehe nette Mitarbeiter. Kommen gerne wieder

Restaurantname, Ambiente und freundlicher Empfang sowie eine Empfehlung durch Freunde versprachen mehr als die Küche hält. Das Konzept ist nicht klar. Auf der Speisekarte findet man Steaks, Burger, mexikanische Gerichte, sowie spanisch, italienisch und deutsch klingende Gerichte. Auch eine gute Fischauswahl ist dabei. Ich hatte den Lachs mit Rosmarinkartoffeln bestellt. Der Fisch war zu lange, vermutlich in der Mikrowelle mit einer wirklich gar nicht passenden, knoblauchlastigen Sambal-Olek-?- Sauce überbacken oder überzogen, die den Geschmack des Lachses vollkommen erschlug. Die Kartoffeln waren ebenfalls zu lange wo auch immer und knochentrocken. Eine Salat- oder Gemüsebeilage fehlte ganz. Stand aber auch nicht auf der Karte. Mein Mann hatte ein mexikanisches Gericht, das aber auch eher als ein Versuch statt gekonnt daherkam. Die Weizentortilla bröckelte, die Rindfleischfüllung schwamm im Sud. Unser negatives Feedback wurde aber sehr professionell aufgenommen und kompensiert. Das Latino bekommt sicher noch eine zweite Chance von uns. Allerdings werden wir vorher Details abfragen, die nicht auf der Karte stehen. Was ich jedem Gast dort empfehlen kann. Dem Gastronom kann ich nur raten sein Speisenkonzept zu überdenken, denn weniger ist manchmal mehr.

Das Lokal ist sehr angenehm und hat einen sehr freundlichen Chef. Wir haben zwar nichts gegessen, aber die Cocktails und der Service waren super! Sehr frische Zutaten und eine riesen Auswahl! Eine klare Empfehlung 😊
