Landhotel Fettehenne in Leverkusen

We stayed there in June with 17 people. A very nice, well-maintained house. A beautiful location. The breakfast was also very good. We'll definitely be back 😀

The staff is incredibly friendly. We were there with our dog, and I don't think our little one has ever been welcomed so warmly in a hotel before. The breakfast is also good and plentiful.

My review is a reflection of how misleading the current average google review for this hotel is. This hotel is OK at best, and never deserves 4.8 stars. Having said that, my experience justifies my utter dissatisfaction with this hotel. The hotel assumes that if you are staying for one night, you shouldn’t get any simple hot beverage without paying them. It is because the rooms don’t have any kettle, and you cannot use the coffee/tea machine until 11:00am in the morning. Oh, by the way, check out is at 11:00am.. Also, communication of these deadlines are so vague that both my wife and I thought that the coffee machine closes only for the night and opens in the morning again. When my wife picked coffee from the machine in the morning the staff made a fuss about it and wanted to charge her. Such an unnecessary and unpleasant process.. I suggest they place simple kettles in the rooms and don’t have to make their customers experience this. Apart from that the mattresses, pillows and headboards are very uncomfortable. The linens and pillow covers don’t smell freshly cleaned at all. The cords to shower heads are made of cheap plastic that they don’t stay still while you are showering, the water goes to the sides not down. If it was the cheapest hotel in town, I would have understood all these; however, you are still paying a decent amount per night; so, these are unacceptable problems.

Comfortable and very friendly staff

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Awesome, quiet surrounding, with lovely seating oitside. Reception was very capable, the room was neat and had a good breakfast. Only one recommendation is to provide some options with the cushions on the bed. There was only one very soft one and would have liked a more solid supporting one myself.

This was our first time at this hotel and we were absolutely thrilled! We received a very friendly welcome; you really feel at home right away, and it was a very pleasant stay. It's very informal and individual—creatively decorated, and not as sterile and anonymous as other hotels. We really like that. We even got a small coffee, as we were there for a special occasion. A room surrounded by greenery (garden view) and nice and quiet at night, and all that for the price, close to Cologne—simply fantastic. Our room was a lovely size (2006) and we really had everything we needed, including enough storage for bags, a closet, and plenty of hangers—something you rarely find in a hotel. It's also great that you can get coffee/cappuccino, etc. throughout the day and into the evening. We also really liked that breakfast is served until 11 a.m. on Sundays, so you don't have to rush around and get up so early. We think the concept of this hotel is great. When the sun is shining, you can also lie on a lounger in the garden and relax. Right next door is a delicious restaurant (a bit more expensive, but very good), where you can also get a drink. We didn't use the pool, sauna, or fitness room, but we'll do it next time. We've already booked today for our next visit! We had a wonderful time relaxing; it was like a mini-vacation. We highly recommend the hotel; it's a true gem, whether for a couple or a family with children. Thank you for the wonderful stay, we'll be back soon!

I stayed at the country hotel for one night with my 93-year-old mother for a family celebration. Even the phone calls beforehand were extremely friendly, allowing us to check in much earlier (for an additional charge), and all our requests (ground floor, separate beds, accessible shower) were accommodated. Everything was perfect: very clean, very friendly, and uncomplicated. We would gladly return.

It's a really cool hotel. Everyone is super nice. The room concept is really great. I've been there several times as a guest. Everything has always been to my complete satisfaction.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! Even if you arrive after 10 p.m., it's no problem. Your key card is stored in a safe, for which you receive a PIN. Breakfast is also perfectly adequate. There are even vegan/vegetarian options. The pool could be a bit warmer, but that's absolutely not a problem.

My husband and I stayed over the weekend to take a break from everyday life. Parking was right in front of the entrance, so we didn't have to search for space or carry our bags far. The ladies at the reception were very friendly. Check-in was very quick, and we were able to spend the 10 minutes until our room was ready in the beautiful garden with a cup of coffee. Coffee is available from morning until 9 p.m. Everything was really clean. The only downside was actually the bed, which consisted of two smaller beds on casters, so it kept rolling apart during the night. My husband's side of the bed was lower than mine. His mattress was softer than mine. Because the beds were on casters, it wasn't possible to fall asleep "in the middle," arm in arm. In the evening, we went to the restaurant right next door. The food and drinks there were delicious, and the portions were perfectly reasonable in terms of value. The staff were also very friendly and cheerful. The hotel's breakfast in the morning was really good. I didn't mind having to choose a time the day before to have breakfast. In the future, I might not choose 10-11 a.m., but rather 8-9 a.m. Unfortunately, at 10 a.m., they didn't make much more than they had planned, which is understandable, since breakfast also runs out. But I wouldn't do anything else to eat what was left. I would therefore simply recommend choosing an earlier time. I highly recommend the scrambled eggs and bacon. It was great. I've actually already booked again, so I can spend a weekend there with my children.

We had a really nice stay at the Landhotel Fetthenne. The ladies at reception were all super nice and always gave us help and advice throughout the two days. The rooms are well equipped and the beds are more than comfortable. The coffee machine can also be used at certain times for guests who have not booked breakfast... The cocoa is particularly highly recommended (no water drinks) We would definitely book again☺️

We cannot understand the positive reviews in any way. The only thing that makes this hotel good is the full-bodied marketing. The hotel is located at the front of the main road. Behind the hotel is the local sports field with floodlights and the corresponding "Radau". We didn't notice any of the advertised friendliness. Not even a question upon arrival as to whether it was OK. Rooms on the second floor (without elevator). Room is large, but not very nicely furnished. Carpeted floor, the bathroom has no ventilation, the tiles are sometimes thickly coated with silicone several times. There are only 10 tables for breakfast, which means you have to have one Book a “time slot” when exactly you want to have breakfast in the hallway/room the next day. This is a run-of-the-mill breakfast with packaged butter and jam from the supermarket. Not even local honey. Self-service coffee machine. The best thing is the record room, which is also loudly advertised. A bench with a record player and headphones in the hallway on the first floor. Maybe you shouldn't appear so full-bodied, then the guest won't be so disappointed! Nothing was right for us here.

A nice hotel with really friendly staff. It's centrally located.

A very nice, small hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the rooms and wellness area are very clean. You can relax well in the pool or in the sauna. The breakfast was also very tasty and nothing was missing. You can get free coffee, cocoa and tea all day long. You can start hiking routes directly from the house and get tips from the hotel if necessary. We'd love to come back!

A very nice hotel for a short vacation. Pool and sauna area perfect for families. Breakfast first class. The animals, as described on the website, are there during the summer season and in different quarters in the winter. The KITCHEN and HOUSEKEEPING STAFF were very friendly.

Great little hotel with a nice team and good service. We were there with the whole family and every wish was fulfilled. The small swimming pool is definitely a highlight with the kids.

Cozy and hospitable hotel. With a theme from the vinyl era. You can see this in the room numbers and on various record players in the hotel. On the first floor there are record players and a box of LPs where you can listen to music. The breakfast section is not too big but sufficient. The breakfast buffet may be smaller than you are used to, but it is nutritious and well stocked. There is no bar available. However, you can take coffee, tea or anything else from the vending machine until 9 p.m. during the day. Friendly staff. Nice clean room. If you are a fan of Sky TV, you have all the channels there. Good fast wifi and free.

A chic country hotel that can also be reached quickly and easily by bus for train travelers. Everything and plenty is offered for breakfast. The rooms are very clean and the room service is perfect. However, I don't know if there is an elevator for guests with walking difficulties. I give 5 stars for my 3 day stay.

Super cute hotel. Surprisingly modern when you walk in. The boss is a really warm person. The parking lot was unfortunately a bit small for all the SUVs, but you can also find a parking space nearby.

As always when we are in Leverkusen we book the hotel and are always greeted very warmly and we will always book here if possible. It's a little bit like family, everyone is very nice, great breakfast and great rooms. In the name of the company Seethaler from Hamburg we say thank you!!!!

The hotel: The Landhotel Fettehenne is a true oasis of peace and comfort. The complex is very well maintained, with a great garden area that invites you to relax. Everything is lovingly and modernly designed without losing the rural charm. The rooms were clean, tastefully decorated and had all the amenities you could wish for. The view of nature in particular was a wonderful change from hectic city life. Service and team: The entire team was always friendly, attentive and welcomed us with a warmth that you rarely find in hotels. Whether at the reception, in the restaurant or with questions in between - we always felt well looked after. You can tell that there is a real focus on service and hospitality here. Every question was answered in a friendly manner, and small extra requests were always taken into account. Culinary: Breakfast was a highlight! A rich selection of fresh and regional products - from fragrant bread to delicious spreads and fresh fruits. It's a pleasure that emphasis is placed on quality and regional ingredients here. Wellness and leisure options: The hotel offers many leisure options that make your stay even more special. The wellness area was clean and pleasant, ideal for relaxation. We were able to relax wonderfully in the pool and sauna. The surrounding area also invites you to take beautiful walks and bike rides, and the hotel offers many tips for excursions and activities. Stayed for several weeks. Different rooms used. Overall everything was great. Rooms different. From “bigger than expected” to “a little small”. But clean. Breakfast top. Biggest minus...parking spaces...hardly available, tight. With larger vehicles such as vans, it's a challenge every day to find a space. No warm food, e.g. in the evening. Addendum.... now my review was asked when I visited again. I thought it was really great, now you know that people will read it. 👍

The hotel is ideally located, almost in the middle of nature. Connection to public transport is great. Service and staff leave nothing to be desired. No matter what time it is, friendly and accommodating - especially the employee at check-in/late shift. Cleanliness and friendliness are lived here. The room and bathroom were a pleasant size. Sauna and indoor pool were very pleasant. Breakfast was rich and fresh. There is a Mexican restaurant right next to the hotel - that alone is worth a visit. The only small downside is the somewhat difficult parking situation when the restaurant and hotel are full. But here too a remedy could be found.

From Friday 17.05.24 in the afternoon to Whitsun Sunday 19.05.24 in the morning 2 nights with breakfast. 1 room and bathroom. It was very easy to find the Hotel Fettehenne. Check-in was very quick, uncomplicated, very nice receptionist, who pointed out everything in the hotel to us. Room, bed, bathroom very clean, tidy. Large and tasty selection at the breakfast buffet, staff very friendly and helpful. Next door is the Hotel Latino with a nice atmosphere, very friendly service, very tasty food with a wide variety and fair prices. Central location to the center Leverkusen and quick transport connections as we celebrate the end of the season and handover of the championship trophy to Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Saturday, May 18, 24, the 34th and final matchday of the 1st Bundesliga season 2023-2024. Conclusion: We would be happy to come back at any time.

Comfortable and cozy country hotel, tastefully designed, great service. Very family friendly. Nice, clean rooms with modern furnishings. Good beds with comfortable mattresses. We had the rooms 1991 and 1992, these are on the side of the garden and are really quiet. Brilliant indoor pool, quite large and very well maintained. Sauna and small fitness room are in good shape. Extremely friendly and service-oriented staff. Diverse and delicious breakfast, also suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Good location for visiting Phantasialand (approx. 35 minutes by car) and Cologne (approx. 30 minutes by car). Bus stop for using public transport just around the corner. Free parking for guests directly at the house (best to park backwards due to narrow spaces). Great value for money.

We received a very friendly welcome and were particularly pleased with the service for our dog: dog basket, water and food bowls with a treat. We've never experienced this before. The room was very spacious and in a quiet location; the breakfast buffet was rich and tasty. All of this at a reasonable price: we'll be happy to come back!

A small, very lovingly furnished hotel. We had a nice, large room and bathroom. The hotel was fully booked, but it was quiet. Mattresses comfortable. Staff very polite and accommodating. A small buffet with a surprising amount of choice. Two recommendations to the hotel manager: Better mark the few parking spaces at the hotel. The cars were all over the place, so even the few parking spaces were lost. In the evening it was difficult to find a parking space even in the adjacent parking lot. And a windbreak at the entrance would really make sense. The door is directly to the breakfast area. In cool weather it is very cold, drafty and very uncomfortable. Thank you for the lovely stay.

It takes about 15 minutes to get to Cologne, which is good. Staff are friendly, the location of the hotel is good and quiet. I think it's overpriced during trade fair times, the rooms are small in my opinion, there's no kettle or mini fridge... it's a shame

The hotel is located on a quiet corner. There are private parking spaces, although they are a bit tight if you have a large car. Of course, it can also be the case that all seats are occupied in the evening. The ladies at the reception were friendly and helpful. The room was small, but clean and neatly furnished. The bathroom was small and I don't like it when the toilet is so close to the shower. For taller people it becomes uncomfortable because the shower is right in front of your nose - in the truest sense of the word. There is a pool and sauna area. Unfortunately, the fitness facility was downsized and there were only 3 cardio machines. You can get free coffee and tea from the machine for a certain period of time.

Was a guest at the Landhotel Fettehenne for one night (on business) in March 2024. Service at reception and at breakfast was excellent, that's what you want and you felt comfortable and welcome at all times. The rooms are beautifully designed and modernly furnished. There is absolutely nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness. Unfortunately I wasn't able to test the pool and sauna. The breakfast was to my complete satisfaction, good selection and quality, special requests were also taken into account. Points of criticism: The mattress should be replaced, I can still feel the springs today. Nevertheless, I slept well. And I missed a refrigerator in the room. I would definitely come back and can recommend the Landhotel Fettehenne.

The hotel was ok, very clean and the breakfast was good on the weekend, in the week day I was missing some options. The location is not good if you don't have a car, and the rooms are a bit small. I stayed in this hotel because it is pet friendly, but they didn't allow dogs in the breakfast area, they have many pictures of dogs and animals to advertise the hotel, there are even dogs in the swimming pool in the pictures, but it's not pet friendly the way they advertise. There's no common area in the hotel where you can stay and eat something with your friends/family at night. I don't think it was a good cost benefit for me.

Top service and even better wellness area

What a lovely stay! A welcome like from friends, helpful, simply brilliant. We got delicious pizza! And that even though we were so late. After a good night's sleep, we went to the delicious breakfast buffet. Everything your heart desires and always freshly refilled. Simply great! We were here for the first time, but definitely not the last.

Single room was good, pleasant desk, comfortable bed. Only the bathroom was a bit very small and cramped. Front desk staff very nice. Breakfast is okay, but for me personally the rolls don't taste good. But breakfast times are great. Cleaning of the room (was there 4 nights) was not good. Toilet paper wasn't repackaged, the floor wasn't cleaned at all, glass (from the water that was in the room) wasn't replaced with a clean one. I was able to park in the hotel parking lot every day without any problems (free)

We used to be regular guests with our company because the hotel and everything about it was really nice. But we are a shipping company that only needs a room for one night. The bosses here apparently earn so much money that they no longer need regular guests for one night. It's a shame it was saved as a favorite, but unfortunately it's no longer. This new concept is completely wrong…. Better to be empty instead of earning 70-80€ a night. Pointless. We drive to hotels with several employees and they sleep Mon.-Fri. Daily in hotels. We are just a regular guest that they are driving away like that. It's a shame

I have been to the Landhotel Fettehenne several times with and without a dog and every time it is a very pleasant stay. Rooms are always super clean, service is very courteous and committed, and all the classics you know await you at the breakfast buffet. The location is also great! The hotel is very quiet but still well connected. There are also shopping opportunities around the corner. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to test the pool and sauna yet due to time constraints. The fitness room is very small but it is enough for a few exercises after a day of sitting. There was always a bed, bowls and a treat prepared in the room for my dog ​​and he was always welcomed at least as warmly as I was. The only thing I missed last time was a small refrigerator in the room. We would like to come again!

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, freundlicher Empfang. In unmittelbarer Umgebung gibt es viele Möglichkeiten zum Joggen und Spazierengehen in grüner, hügeliger Umgebung, vor dem Hotel ist eine Bushaltestelle mit Direktverbindung sogar nach Köln. Das Frühstück war gut und reichlich, gut gefallen hat uns, dass wir dort sogar reservieren konnten und trotz guter Belegung nicht warten mussten. Sehr angenehm war auch, dass es tagsüber die Möglichkeit gibt, sich kostenlos Kaffee und Tee zu holen. Gleich vor dem Haus befindet sich ein Restaurant, das auch empfehlenswert ist.

Attraktive Hotelanlage mit Schwimmbad und Sauna!

Heel net hotel, heerlijk zwembad en sauna. Ontbijt uitgebreid en lekker. Restaurant op 50 meter van het hotel. Prima tuin en parkeerplekken. We hadden een 4persoonskamer die erg ruim was.
