Las Tapas in Düsseldorf

To be honest - we had a good time. The service was excellent and the food really good. The location is in the City Center i a side way kind of street. We would come again to have a lovely time. I can imagine that especially in summer its lovely to sit outside.

New Year's Eve food. Nothing worked without prior notice. Very narrow tables that restrict any movement. Friendly service, but constantly patting strangers on the shoulder is a no go! For food: TOP! Highly recommended! Freshly prepared dishes that taste good.

We were there on the second holiday, the reservation was not confirmed online, only after calling. Service was sometimes negligent, we took the order, but it didn't come, we had to make ourselves known several times. The food was very good, hot and exactly as requested . Price-performance ok

Went to the restaurant because of the mostly good reviews. The stars are for ambience and reasonably friendly service. We had different tapas. Overall not good quality. The prawn oil tasted old. Aioli tasted like the ready-made mush you can buy and the rest tasted either old or burnt or bland. At least no one had stomach problems. But it didn't taste good.

One of the men that served our table was very unfriendly,unkindly... He couldn't laugh and when we asked something he didn't answer immediately. At the end when we paid, he asked for a tip. We gave something and he laughed with us and said if we dont give tips in Holland. It was a very unpleasant evening and we went back inside afterwards to express our dissatisfaction. He was extremely rude. We like to be served with a smile and friendliness, especially on January 1, who doesn't?

The food was fine, at least; the two tapas dishes that the two of us had in 1.5 hours were good. Unfortunately, we received little or no help and the best gentleman could not speak English and did not try hard, in fact, he made comments behind our backs... after these 2 dishes we went and had a delicious meal with the neighbors!

Tasty food! A bit small in terms of portion. Then it is a bit pricey but good in taste.

A nice tapas restaurant with reasonable priced dishes and a good atmosphere. Everything we tried was tasty and well prepared. They serve free bread with the dishes, which is always very much appreciated! Although we were too full for the freshly sliced jamon I'd recommend you don't miss out on it. The service is fast and the staff is helpful and attentive. I wish their wine menu was a bit larger, though. Especially for the food they serve it's nice to have more options available by the glass. Overall, we enjoyed our meal at Las Tapas, it's a good option to go as a large group and order many tapas.

We have NEVER experienced anything like this before. After we had a seat and our waiter wasn't with us after 25 minutes, I asked him if I could order. At least a drink would be nice. He looked at me, made the motion “chill” with his mouth and made the motion with his hand that I should be quiet. After a few minutes he came. I ordered a bottle of water and wanted to order food. He said: “It’s not possible to order food, the kitchen is full”. Before I could say anything he disappeared again. After a short while he came back and I wanted to order: “We have been here for 30 minutes and would like to order food”. His answer: “You’re lying, you’ve been here for 10 minutes, you have to wait” and disappeared again. We finally got it and got up to leave. He came to me and said “what should I do, the kitchen is closed”. I actually could hardly find any words and we left stunned. Not being allowed to order food after 30 minutes and then being told you're lying and you've only been sitting for 10 minutes is absolutely audacious!

With daughter in Düsseldorf but already selected and reserved at home and a good thing too Lives up to all the good reviews. Super nice atmosphere, nice, pleasant waiter. Extensive map. Everything we ordered was all very tasty. Good house wine. In short, very satisfied. Greetings from mom😉

Wij ( 4 volwassenen ) zijn hier toevallig beland tijdens de kerstmarkt. Het was heel druk in die periode. Vonden een plaatsje op het verwarmd terras. De kelner was heel vriendelijk en grappig. We hebben een 5 tal verschillende tapas gegeten. Het was zo super lekker dat we nog eens hetzelfde hebben besteld. We kunnen helaas niet terug komen ( we wonen een klein beetje te ver 😅 ) maar anders zouden we het zeker doen.

Das ist eine Touristenfalle mit einem wirklich schlechten Essen. Das ist eines traditionellen Spanischen Restaurants nicht würdig. Ich habe meinen Geschäftspartner eingeladen und danach konnte ich mich leider nur schämen und entschuldigen.

You should make a reservation as there is a lot going on. The food was really good but unfortunately it was very loud and really busy. Service was super friendly 👍

We are Asturian, we eat well and I have to say that we did not expect to eat as well as we do here. The spectacular grilled squid, the anchovies, the meatballs, the meat in general... all very good and very well priced. Highlight the kindness of the waiters who served us. A 10 for the site, totally recommended!

We had to look for another restaurant at short notice with a larger group and ended up there. 🫤 I ordered an avocado-shrimp salad according to the menu and I got THIS: half an avocado 🥑 + a few cheap Arctic sea prawns + a heap of lettuce (especially iceberg, because it's the cheapest) and a spoonful of ready-made sauce slapped on it... Thank you very much, that I was allowed to pay €13.90 for this manageable portion of inferior products with borderline taste…

Very negative experience... the focus is clearly on getting as many people as possible to pay as much money as possible. Food was not fresh and only the meat was acceptable. The salad that was listed on the menu was not brought. The order went wrong and the bill was incorrect.

Extremely long waiting time, drinks only come after 25 minutes. Food comes without sauce, and before you finally get sauce your food is cold. Don't eat here

Worst paella I’ve ever had. Overcooked and flavorless.

Unfortunately I have to complain about the service even though the meal was delicious. Since there was no music to be heard, as a Spanish speaker I couldn't help but hear some waiters bantering with each other using profanities. Imagine going out to dinner with her family and having to hear “cuss words” during the meal in a place where politeness is expected. As the waiter impatiently took our order, the waiter, who is short and bald, rolled his eyes and took a deep breath. At that moment he made me want to leave immediately.

Unfortunately I can't recommend the paella, the paella was very runny and tasted a lot like tomato sauce. Unfortunately there were more vegetables than fish. The meat in it was tough. The paella was also prepared very quickly. Unfortunately not recommended.

On a street with so many Spanish restaurants, I expected high quality to stand out from the competition. Unfortunately we were disappointed by the quality. Inauthentic and carelessly prepared classics of Spanish cuisine were served by friendly service. With me everyone gets a second chance, I will come back, so make something of it...

Absolutely excellent food and very courteous service. We spontaneously went there for dinner on a Friday evening. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance and escorted to the square. After a short while the waitress came and took our order. The tapas we ordered came very quickly and tasted fantastic. Only one order fell by the wayside. However, this was delivered immediately upon friendly request. All in all, a very successful evening with great authentic Spanish tapas.

Wir haben bei 10Grad, beheizt und mit Sitzkissen und Decke über den Beinen ,draußen leckere Tapas gegessen. Das war sehr schön.Sauer ist uns nur aufgestoßen, dass der empfohlene (mit wenig Säure) offene Wein 0,2l 9,80EUR gekostet hat, obwohl alle anderen Weine auf der Karte 7,60 EUR gekostet hätten. Da kamen wir uns verarscht vor.

Unfortunately I am very disappointed with my last visit here. The beef fillet steak and a rump steak were ordered once. Not only did we wait almost an hour for our food, the steaks were also of poor quality. The rump steak was like it was cooked, no color and quite tough. The fillet was black on the outside and raw and cold on the inside. The potato slices are frozen goods. Absolutely not recommended for the price.

The waiters speak English. The environment is full of relaxed, comfortable and joyful atmosphere. It is suitable for a drink after the exhibition and a place to hang out with colleagues or customers. The unit price is not outrageous, but there is no guarantee that you will accidentally over-order. The tapas are very good and better than Spanish paella, worth coming again.

Because of the good reviews, we had lunch here yesterday. Unfortunately we were so very disappointed!!! The food was a complete disaster. The chicken skewer was burnt, the potato slices were unconvincing and had a terrible sauce, the fried squid wasn't fried properly and there was a piece of plastic in my salad :((( (This had already happened to another guest in the recessions, as I just read) We had the feeling that no fresh products were used (e.g. ready-made sauce on salad (hence the plastic piece) and on the potato slices We felt unwell for hours after eating. The young waiter was quite friendly, hence 2 stars. 1 star for the ambience because it is getting old and was probably nice many years ago. You have to give at least 1 star to the food, otherwise it wouldn't have been one. We didn't finish our food and weren't even asked if we liked it. Something positive comes to mind: the white bread was very tasty and crispy!!! Unfortunately the olives didn't taste good either :( I often go out for Spanish food every year because I live in Spain for several months. I've never eaten food like this there before!

We went to Schneider-Wibbel-Gasse for lunch today to eat at one of the many Spanish restaurants. The choice fell on this. We ordered the fish plate and two different warm tapas from the lunch menu. The staff was nice and the food we ordered was at the table quickly. Everything tasted very good. The fish and the warm vegetable dumplings are highly recommended. I also liked the atmosphere inside (rustic but authentic). We would be happy to come by again at another lunchtime.

Ein sehr schöner Abend Vom Essen über den Service alles Bestens Eier waren mit 12 Personen zum Tapas essen eingeladen ! Wir hatten ca 30 Tapas Teller an dem Abend! Und alles war auf den Punkt! Sehr lecker, geschmacklich Top und die Portionen der Tapas war zu den preisen sehr gut

The Schneider-Wibbel-Gasse always gives you the feeling of being in Spain. We ordered tapas and sangria in a holiday mood. Everything was very tasty and high quality, prices were reasonable. Reordering drinks didn't work out, the orange juice never came, but it wasn't on the bill either. Can happen.

We discovered Las Tapas by chance on a weekend trip to Düsseldorf - and were thrilled. Extremely friendly and attentive service, cheerful atmosphere and great food. Despite the fact that there was a lot going on on Saturday evening, we managed to get a seat and didn't have to wait too long for our tapas. I felt like I was transported to Spain while I was visiting the restaurant.

Wir waren früher treue Stammkunden. Da wir unseren Wohnort gewechselt hatten, waren wir heute, nach 3 Jahren, wieder im Las Tapas und leider total enttäuscht. Das Restaurant sah so aus wie früher und war auch gut gepflegt. Der Service war ok aber für unser Empfinden etwas zu gespielt freundlich. Das Essen war ok aber leider auch nicht mehr als ok. Die Speisen (Tapas) waren lieblos zubereitet und zum Teil auch nur fertig gekauft und nicht hausgemacht.. Geschmacklich nur mittelmäßig. Die Preise waren, im Bezug auf der Qualität der Speisen, total überzogen teuer. Preis / Leistung in keiner Weise in Ordnung Werden wohl nicht mehr wieder kommen. Schade, aber es gibt weitaus bessere spanische Restaurants in Düsseldorf

We spontaneously ended up at Las Tapas during our visit to Düsseldorf. Spanish just appealed to us. All I can say is that everything from the service to the food was absolutely good. The meal was a delight. What struck me particularly positively was that the waiters were very attentive during service. Even when we wanted some ajoli to take home at the end, that wasn't a problem. Thank you very much for this lovely evening.

Unfortunately our visit to the tapas bar was not as hoped. The food was tasty, but the service left a lot to be desired. We had to remind the staff that some dishes we ordered were still missing. Despite the reminder, one dish was never served and we ended up skipping it. To our surprise, this missing dish appeared on the bill, which was very annoying for us. Overall: Good food, but the service on the day was disappointing and needs to be urgently improved.

The grilled lamb chops are very good, and the shepherd’s purse and shrimp cheese is better than the shepherd’s purse and bacon cheese😋

We always enjoy eating here, but yesterday I found something on the table, an old bottle of my favorite wine. My father-in-law brought this wine to Germany as part of his work before it stormed the big chains and I associate it with the first Christmas celebrations in my current family. And the kicker is, it's from the year I was born (and no, that's not easy for me to write!!!).

We had lunch here with guests from Berlin. Menu is diverse. Food is good to very good. Prices are appropriate. It was a little cold inside. Just go out at 1 p.m. sharp or on the hour and admire the great music box. Dessert excellent. Just had to wait a little too long, but it was worth it.

Preisleistung und Service 👎🏻 Von 6 Hauptmahlzeiten war nur ein Essen top, dass Rinderfilet. Die Dorade leider schon zu trocken und das Lachsfilet war eher ein Kinderteller. Schweinefilet war angerichtet mit einer klumpigen Fertigsouce. Aber was den Vogel abgeschossen hat, waren die Skampis, 4 Stück als Hauptspeise für 25 €...wir dachten, der Kellner hätte sich geirrt und eine Tapas gebracht, aber dem war nicht so. Lieblos angerichtet und 2 Männer wurden nicht satt 👎🏻 Meinem Mann und mir war das sehr unangenehm, da wir unsere Freunde in Düsseldorf zum Essen eingeladen haben. Wir wollten einen schönen Abend dort verbringen, haben aber das Lokal gewechseln, da wir zu allem auch in 2 Stunden nur zweimal Getränke bekommen haben! Preisleistung und Service 👎🏻

Honestly, anyone who knows Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine knows that this restaurant is not good. I ordered a paella special. Ice cream came with tomato sauce, two shrimps and two mussels. My wife ordered a mixed pescado. A piece of fish, a piece of salmon, a shrimp and 2 dry potatoes came. So honestly, almost 60 euros for these 2 dishes... that's an outrage.

Achtung an alle Gäste: der Betreiber des Las Tapas in Düsseldorf geht regelmäßig gegen ehrliche, aber kritische Bewertungen vor und behauptet, die Bewertungen würden den Straftatbestand der Verleumdung erfüllen - das ist natürlich Quatsch, die Bewertungen sind einfach ehrlich und kritisch. Die Qualität der Speisen ist wirklich nicht besonders gut, aber es gibt durch das oben genannte Vorgehen leider nur wenige Bewertungen, die auch veröffentlich werden. Google ist da leider feige.

Unfortunately, the visit to Las Tapas was a bitter disappointment. Because of the many positive reviews, we were looking forward to a nice evening with delicious tapas, but the opposite was the case. The food was not convincing in any way - it didn't taste fresh and some dishes were even served cold. We were particularly dissatisfied with the service: the waiter was distant and didn't seem to be trying to make our stay a pleasant one. There was a lack of friendliness and attention, which further marred the evening. The only positive thing was the house wine, which was actually very good. But apart from that, there were unfortunately no other highlights. We expected much more from this restaurant and will therefore not recommend it.

Very central, in the street of Latin restaurants, it has outdoor tables (in the summer, with good weather), and others inside. Characteristic Spanish atmosphere, standard service. Very rich menu. Well made dishes. Portions not abundant. Not cheap at all. A solution for a dinner with cuisine different from the local German one.

Go crazy... eat Spanish in the land of bratwurst. Friendly people and surprisingly tasty tapas. If you want Spanish food, choose this

It's remarkable to charge €4.20 for aioli and bread that we didn't order. Then I think it's a disgrace to charge €16.90 for 0.5l sangria even though there is more fruit and vegetables in it than sangria. The service was quick. The portions are getting smaller and smaller, unfortunately we won't be coming back. Because for the total price you get better quality and more food from other Spaniards.

Originally sat at The Flamenco restaurant next door and was ignored so stood up and went to last tapas great and quick service and lovely fish selection.

There are a wide variety of tapas, and the service staff are very nice. We even saw street performances while we were eating, and we could see them directly from the window. The location is very good, very close to the river in a lively area. The seafood rice is average in taste and slightly salty.

Our most favourite tapas restaurant ever! The food and service never disappoints us and we'll keep returning there as often as possible (despite a 2.5 hours' drive from Rotterdam).

Unfortunately you could only get a table inside and not outside. Food was good but expensive. I think 93 euros for 3 people is too much. 98 instead of 93 euros were billed. That is not OK.

Good food. We sat inside, which resulted in our food and drinks being particularly lame and it also took a while before they were taken. Because the terrace seemed to have priority. The food was tasty and varied.

The squid was not cooked at all, but everything else was ok. I don’t remember the Coca-Cola, but it was in an original glass bottle, not the garbage that came out of the cannon.

If Spanish people were to eat here they would be ashamed of the food... this has nothing to do with tapas... patatas picant are just potato slices from the deep fryer and anything but spicy... the rest was just rubbish...

The service is great, the place is cute. The food, however, in my opinion... to wish for. Everything was very greasy/oily, not very salty. The prawns tasted like Meetesboden. The flan tastes like orange, not caramel. Unfortunately I didn't like it. Additional information: apparently it's not just me that the restaurant objected to my rating! Reason: slander. However, I can prove that I was there. It's a shame that the landlord invests time in fighting "not "5 star" reviews instead of investing in the kitchen. Now I'm not surprised that the reviews for this restaurant are so high.

It stands on a Spanish alley where many tapas restaurants operate. We chose many dishes and it was delicious. Only one recommendation would be that it would be better if we weren't all served at the same time. We chilled some of the food. Prices are acceptable.
