Two people were guests in the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. The service didn't exactly blow me away, sometimes very inattentive, and what I found very annoying was that you had to ask for service several times. Let's get to food. My starter was completely okay, although you couldn't go wrong with fried sardines. Let's come to the main course. I had lamb chops that were anything but well fried and were presented quite carelessly on the plate. But what bothered me the most was that the waiter didn't go to the table, check to see if the starter was finished, but simply arrived with the main course, where I still had my starter on my plate. That's not appropriate in a restaurant. And I don't want to be forced to shovel my food. When I asked the waiter about it, I got an answer. I could have said that. In a good restaurant I assume that this is the case and that the guest is asked. Overall it was okay, but not that it blew me away. But since I really like the ambience of the place, I will go there again and clarify these things in advance.

A fantastic tapas bar and restaurant in the heart of Düsseldorf. All the dishes were delicious, authentic, and simply enjoyable to eat. The service was attentive, fast, friendly, and hospitable. It's definitely worth eating there, and we would go back anytime.

We stumbled upon Las Tapas at Schneider-Wibbel-Gasse 2-4 during our stay in Düsseldorf, and what a wonderful surprise it was! Nestled in a quiet little side street—just steps from the lively river promenade and near the historic Rathaus—this area feels like a peaceful corner of Spain in the bustling Altstadt. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, even though it’s right in the center of everything. The street is lined with mostly Spanish restaurants, but Las Tapas stood out for its warm welcome and outstanding food. We came as a family—two adults and two kids—and everyone loved it. The tapas were absolutely delicious: perfectly hot, flavorful, and served promptly. From classic patatas bravas to sizzling gambas al ajillo, everything was fresh and authentic. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always smiling and making sure we had everything we needed without ever being pushy. It’s rare to find a place that’s both so central and so genuinely pleasant. Highly recommended if you’re in Düsseldorf and looking for real Spanish flavors in a relaxed and charming spot.

Nos topamos con Las Tapas en Schneider - Wibbel - Gasse 2 - 4 durante nuestra estancia en Düsseldorf, y lo que fue una sorpresa maravillosa! Ubicada en una tranquila calle lateral, a pocos pasos del animado paseo fluvial y cerca del histórico Rathaus, esta zona se siente como un rincón tranquilo de España en el bullicioso Altstadt. El ambiente era tranquilo y relajado, a pesar de que está justo en el centro de todo. La calle está llena de restaurantes en su mayoría españoles, pero Las Tapas destacó por su cálida bienvenida y su excelente comida. Vinimos en familia —dos adultos y dos niños— y a todos les encantó. Las tapas estaban absolutamente deliciosas: perfectamente calientes, sabrosas y servidas con prontitud. Desde las clásicas patatas bravas hasta las chispeantes gambas al ajillo, todo era fresco y auténtico. El personal era increíblemente amable y atento, siempre sonriendo y asegurándose de que teníamos todo lo que necesitábamos sin ser nunca agresivo. Es raro encontrar un lugar tan céntrico y tan genuinamente agradable. Muy recomendable si estás en Düsseldorf y buscas sabores españoles reales en un lugar relajado y encantador.

A nice restaurant in the (Spanish) pub lane. Friendly staff, good outdoor seating and invite you to linger. Unfortunately, there is a smell of drains every now and then, so that should probably be clarified.

Were here yesterday afternoon as a family of 4 and were surprised at how good, comfortable and inexpensive you can stop off in Düsseldorf's old town. The restaurant team is extremely friendly and helpful, the food is of very good quality, inexpensive and plentiful. A little too salty for me personally. We'd love to come back!

The best in Dusseldorf, in fact in 3 days I went there twice!!!

In the middle of Düsseldorf's old town lies this Spanish oasis with its tapas, all of which are fairly priced. In total, three tapas per person are enough because the portions are not small. The beers are only available in bottles, and of course the wines too.

Very tasty food and drinks and good service

It was super full, we didn't have a reservation but still got a seat. The food was world class! If you love tapas, you've come to the right place!!!

Due to the location in the old town, unfortunately there is some mass processing. Even if you have a reservation, you will be put on a waiting list. The food was okay, everything typical was available.

The restaurant is very cozy and the food is delicious. There is a large selection of tapas. However, I find the prices very exaggerated. I can eat cheaper and with better quality somewhere else. The staff was very unfriendly and annoyed.

The food was incredible, especially the pork in Brandy tapas, the chicken in garlic tapas and the scallops in garlic were just *chef’s kiss*! And the waiters were super polite and helpful!! 10/10 would recommend!

We (couple aged 37 and 40) went to Las Tapas for lunch yesterday during a short trip to Düsseldorf (a great, very diverse city by the way, we won't be there the last time). The food was simply great. From loin to baby calamari, of course aioli and dates in bacon, everything was super delicious. Wine and dessert (Crema Catalana) rounded it off. The service was attentive but not intrusive. When we were there, the restaurant wasn't fully occupied, so we can't comment on other times. The atmosphere seemed very cozy to us. I would classify my wife's lunch menu (loin) as cheap in terms of price. Otherwise you should just be aware that tapas are a bit more expensive. In this case it was worth every penny for us (you don't go out to eat every day). When we're in Düsseldorf again, Las Tapas is set.

To be honest - we had a good time. The service was excellent and the food really good. The location is in the City Center i a side way kind of street. We would come again to have a lovely time. I can imagine that especially in summer its lovely to sit outside.

Nice restaurant, was there with the team for the belated Christmas party. Tasty, not too expensive, I know some tapas a little differently from the Canary Islands, but Spanish ambience, felt like it's in the south in winter, even if only short and culinary, but recommended

The food was really great, the atmosphere was great and the service inside was very attentive. The one point deducted is for the welcome. If you have ordered a table almost 3 weeks before arrival, I find it rude that you are approached and seated outside. Only after we insisted several times that we didn't want to eat outside in our winter jackets when it was 4 degrees and that we just wanted to have the reserved table. This also happened. The reservation was also checked there Classic old town check-in, all tables outside should be occupied We were then threatened that we would have to be implemented after a short time. But then it didn't happen. There should probably always be room inside for regular guests.

The food was delicious and came very quickly even though the restaurant was very full (Saturday evening). One star deducted because when we asked the waitress that he had brought us something wrong, he reacted very rudely and said that we had ordered exactly that. Heerlijke tapas gegeten en ook de paëlla was top! Bediening was vriendelijk en toegankelijk. Als je, zoals wij, er een avond vullend programma van maakt zouden de stoelen wel iets comfortabeler mogen zijn. Al met al: Top avond gehad!

New Year's Eve food. Nothing worked without prior notice. Very narrow tables that restrict any movement. Friendly service, but constantly patting strangers on the shoulder is a no go! For food: TOP! Highly recommended! Freshly prepared dishes that taste good.

We were there on the second holiday, the reservation was not confirmed online, only after calling. Service was sometimes negligent, we took the order, but it didn't come, we had to make ourselves known several times. The food was very good, hot and exactly as requested . Price-performance ok

Went to the restaurant because of the mostly good reviews. The stars are for ambience and reasonably friendly service. We had different tapas. Overall not good quality. The prawn oil tasted old. Aioli tasted like the ready-made mush you can buy and the rest tasted either old or burnt or bland. At least no one had stomach problems. But it didn't taste good.

One of the men that served our table was very unfriendly,unkindly... He couldn't laugh and when we asked something he didn't answer immediately. At the end when we paid, he asked for a tip. We gave something and he laughed with us and said if we dont give tips in Holland. It was a very unpleasant evening and we went back inside afterwards to express our dissatisfaction. He was extremely rude. We like to be served with a smile and friendliness, especially on January 1, who doesn't?

The food was fine, at least; the two tapas dishes that the two of us had in 1.5 hours were good. Unfortunately, we received little or no help and the best gentleman could not speak English and did not try hard, in fact, he made comments behind our backs... after these 2 dishes we went and had a delicious meal with the neighbors!

We have NEVER experienced anything like this before. After we had a seat and our waiter wasn't with us after 25 minutes, I asked him if I could order. At least a drink would be nice. He looked at me, made the motion “chill” with his mouth and made the motion with his hand that I should be quiet. After a few minutes he came. I ordered a bottle of water and wanted to order food. He said: “It’s not possible to order food, the kitchen is full”. Before I could say anything he disappeared again. After a short while he came back and I wanted to order: “We have been here for 30 minutes and would like to order food”. His answer: “You’re lying, you’ve been here for 10 minutes, you have to wait” and disappeared again. We finally got it and got up to leave. He came to me and said “what should I do, the kitchen is closed”. I actually could hardly find any words and we left stunned. Not being allowed to order food after 30 minutes and then being told you're lying and you've only been sitting for 10 minutes is absolutely audacious!

A nice tapas restaurant with reasonable priced dishes and a good atmosphere. Everything we tried was tasty and well prepared. They serve free bread with the dishes, which is always very much appreciated! Although we were too full for the freshly sliced jamon I'd recommend you don't miss out on it. The service is fast and the staff is helpful and attentive. I wish their wine menu was a bit larger, though. Especially for the food they serve it's nice to have more options available by the glass. Overall, we enjoyed our meal at Las Tapas, it's a good option to go as a large group and order many tapas.

Wij ( 4 volwassenen ) zijn hier toevallig beland tijdens de kerstmarkt. Het was heel druk in die periode. Vonden een plaatsje op het verwarmd terras. De kelner was heel vriendelijk en grappig. We hebben een 5 tal verschillende tapas gegeten. Het was zo super lekker dat we nog eens hetzelfde hebben besteld. We kunnen helaas niet terug komen ( we wonen een klein beetje te ver 😅 ) maar anders zouden we het zeker doen.

Das ist eine Touristenfalle mit einem wirklich schlechten Essen. Das ist eines traditionellen Spanischen Restaurants nicht würdig. Ich habe meinen Geschäftspartner eingeladen und danach konnte ich mich leider nur schämen und entschuldigen.

You should make a reservation as there is a lot going on. The food was really good but unfortunately it was very loud and really busy. Service was super friendly 👍

We are Asturian, we eat well and I have to say that we did not expect to eat as well as we do here. The spectacular grilled squid, the anchovies, the meatballs, the meat in general... all very good and very well priced. Highlight the kindness of the waiters who served us. A 10 for the site, totally recommended!

We had to look for another restaurant at short notice with a larger group and ended up there. 🫤 I ordered an avocado-shrimp salad according to the menu and I got THIS: half an avocado 🥑 + a few cheap Arctic sea prawns + a heap of lettuce (especially iceberg, because it's the cheapest) and a spoonful of ready-made sauce slapped on it... Thank you very much, that I was allowed to pay €13.90 for this manageable portion of inferior products with borderline taste…

Very negative experience... the focus is clearly on getting as many people as possible to pay as much money as possible. Food was not fresh and only the meat was acceptable. The salad that was listed on the menu was not brought. The order went wrong and the bill was incorrect.

Extremely long waiting time, drinks only come after 25 minutes. Food comes without sauce, and before you finally get sauce your food is cold. Don't eat here

Worst paella I’ve ever had. Overcooked and flavorless.

Unfortunately I can't recommend the paella, the paella was very runny and tasted a lot like tomato sauce. Unfortunately there were more vegetables than fish. The meat in it was tough. The paella was also prepared very quickly. Unfortunately not recommended.

Unfortunately I have to complain about the service even though the meal was delicious. Since there was no music to be heard, as a Spanish speaker I couldn't help but hear some waiters bantering with each other using profanities. Imagine going out to dinner with her family and having to hear “cuss words” during the meal in a place where politeness is expected. As the waiter impatiently took our order, the waiter, who is short and bald, rolled his eyes and took a deep breath. At that moment he made me want to leave immediately.

On a street with so many Spanish restaurants, I expected high quality to stand out from the competition. Unfortunately we were disappointed by the quality. Inauthentic and carelessly prepared classics of Spanish cuisine were served by friendly service. With me everyone gets a second chance, I will come back, so make something of it...

Absolutely excellent food and very courteous service. We spontaneously went there for dinner on a Friday evening. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance and escorted to the square. After a short while the waitress came and took our order. The tapas we ordered came very quickly and tasted fantastic. Only one order fell by the wayside. However, this was delivered immediately upon friendly request. All in all, a very successful evening with great authentic Spanish tapas.

Unfortunately I am very disappointed with my last visit here. The beef fillet steak and a rump steak were ordered once. Not only did we wait almost an hour for our food, the steaks were also of poor quality. The rump steak was like it was cooked, no color and quite tough. The fillet was black on the outside and raw and cold on the inside. The potato slices are frozen goods. Absolutely not recommended for the price.

The waiters speak English. The environment is full of relaxed, comfortable and joyful atmosphere. It is suitable for a drink after the exhibition and a place to hang out with colleagues or customers. The unit price is not outrageous, but there is no guarantee that you will accidentally over-order. The tapas are very good and better than Spanish paella, worth coming again.

Wir haben bei 10Grad, beheizt und mit Sitzkissen und Decke über den Beinen ,draußen leckere Tapas gegessen. Das war sehr schön.Sauer ist uns nur aufgestoßen, dass der empfohlene (mit wenig Säure) offene Wein 0,2l 9,80EUR gekostet hat, obwohl alle anderen Weine auf der Karte 7,60 EUR gekostet hätten. Da kamen wir uns verarscht vor.

Because of the good reviews, we had lunch here yesterday. Unfortunately we were so very disappointed!!! The food was a complete disaster. The chicken skewer was burnt, the potato slices were unconvincing and had a terrible sauce, the fried squid wasn't fried properly and there was a piece of plastic in my salad :((( (This had already happened to another guest in the recessions, as I just read) We had the feeling that no fresh products were used (e.g. ready-made sauce on salad (hence the plastic piece) and on the potato slices We felt unwell for hours after eating. The young waiter was quite friendly, hence 2 stars. 1 star for the ambience because it is getting old and was probably nice many years ago. You have to give at least 1 star to the food, otherwise it wouldn't have been one. We didn't finish our food and weren't even asked if we liked it. Something positive comes to mind: the white bread was very tasty and crispy!!! Unfortunately the olives didn't taste good either :( I often go out for Spanish food every year because I live in Spain for several months. I've never eaten food like this there before!

We went to Schneider-Wibbel-Gasse for lunch today to eat at one of the many Spanish restaurants. The choice fell on this. We ordered the fish plate and two different warm tapas from the lunch menu. The staff was nice and the food we ordered was at the table quickly. Everything tasted very good. The fish and the warm vegetable dumplings are highly recommended. I also liked the atmosphere inside (rustic but authentic). We would be happy to come by again at another lunchtime.
