Las Tapas in Düsseldorf

The two of us enjoyed a relaxed meal of tapas and sangria. The food was really good, and the sangria was delicious. The only slight drawback was the dessert: the flan casero was almost rubbery and too firm, and over-caramelized, giving it a slightly burnt taste. It wasn't to my liking. The crema catalana, on the other hand, was excellent! The staff were very attentive, cheerful, and efficient. The atmosphere is very inviting, and you feel welcome. We had a truly lovely afternoon at this restaurant; I highly recommend it! :)

Service is nice, but absolutely worst tapas I have tried in Germany. Don't understand the good reviews. Mushrooms in can, horrible chicken in garlic (too oily, lacking taste and spices..), the bread dry, crockets were special disaster, tasted like flour only

I sometimes fail to see how a restaurant can get ratings of 4+. Food was ok but definitely not 4.5+. Just ok. Waiters were really trying to be very fast as I could see they are busy but not class A service.

The dishes served at the restaurant are really delicious. I definitely recommend trying the paella. If you’re planning to visit on the weekend, keep in mind that the waiting time can be quite long — you might wait around 30 minutes for a soup and up to 60 minutes for a main course.

Unfortunately, the food was very average. The "spicy" potatoes were tasteless, with a reddish sauce and a bit of spice. The meatballs were also nothing special. The service was okay, but unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time for the bill.

We visited Las Tapas years ago and loved it. This year we returned and were not disappointed. The staff was attentive and friendly. Our drinks order was taken quickly, and as soon as it arrived, we ordered our food. Of course, it didn't happen in a flash; it was a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed, but we never had to wait long. The tapas were all delicious and hot. We were very satisfied and absolutely cannot understand or agree with the reviews below. We went home happy, full, and satisfied.

We were here years ago and weren't disappointed this time either. Yes, it took a little longer for a Saturday night, but the food was delicious and the drinks were cold. Everything we ordered was excellent, and the service was truly friendly and attentive. Thanks for the highlight in this neighborhood where tourists are otherwise ripped off.

We've been to this restaurant many times. It's easily accessible by various subway lines. It's located on a quiet side street. The food is very good and the staff is very friendly (especially to children). Even though we eat there more often, we're immediately recognized and greeted, as if we were a weekly visitor. All of this makes every meal at this restaurant a wonderful experience. Please keep up the good work!

It couldn't be more Spanish or more attentive service, and everything on the plate is absolutely delicious. It's actually 6 stars, thanks to the team. And then the brandy comes in a glass with hot water, absolutely top-notch!!

All in all, a truly wonderful, delicious evening. Everything we ordered for four people was very, very tasty. The perfectly grilled beef fillet, wow, was particularly noteworthy. It melted in your mouth. The portion sizes are good for women... Men don't really get full with a "normal" order of starter, main course, and dessert... The sangria was very tasty, and the crema Catalana was just like in Spain. If you prefer a quieter place, this is the wrong place. It's very loud and crowded. It's Düsseldorf City, after all. All the tables were full, and there was a line outside... That's certainly a good thing about the restaurant.

Food is nice, my favourite is the garlic butter source for the bread. Most food are good, except the fired small fish( forget the name). The fish is too dry.

It was perfect (for us)! Located in the heart of the old town, despite the chaos after a Fortuna match day, you can simply enjoy yourself here. Starting the night with a fine selection of delicious tapas is a culinary delight. A host who truly lives up to this term and a team that exudes joy in their work perfectly round out the experience.

The service was fine. The steak tasted good. Unfortunately, the aioli wasn't particularly tasty, just like my tapas.

Unfortunately, a lot of things went wrong: - The steak was mostly almost raw, even though it was ordered medium. - There was a very large fat layer. Of course, that's normal for steak, but I've never experienced so much fat before. It was about 1/3 of the steak. - The side dish was wrong. - Ordered olives, got aioli. The waitress then took them away, but the olives didn't arrive. - The ordered rose only arrived after repeated requests, and when the food was already half eaten. - At times, we sat there for a while with empty glasses, and the waiters just quickly passed us by. Because it was very loud, they couldn't hear us. - When the waiter asked if we enjoyed our meal and we answered honestly, he said he was just a waiter and couldn't help it. We phrased it as nicely as possible. Overall, it was very busy at times. An occasional "mistake" isn't a big deal, but when a few things go wrong, it's a shame, and we wish our criticism had been handled differently. We spent too much money there for that. We wouldn't go back anytime soon.

We had dinner at Las Tapas and had a fantastic evening. The tapas were good, and the service was extremely attentive and friendly. We specially ordered drinks from the restaurant next door (they belong together). You couldn't ask for better service!

The restaurant has a very nice fashion. Makes a good Look and feeling, also being in this connection road makes it more chilled. I had an Appetizer like art of the house and afterwards lamb filet. The Appetizer was quite good and fresh, also made a good impression. In fact a combination from a some of Tapas, not like a special plate. The lamb was to long roasted and sadly too dry. Overall quality seems to be fine, pricing for those exclusive products okay, but the dry lamb and for my personal Point of View missing Concept of Appetizer art of the house, I just wanna give 3 stars.

We had a fantastic time at Las Tapas in Düsseldorf! Everything we ordered was delicious – from the Thunfisch Empanadas to the Pikante Kartoffeln, Gegrillter Tintenfisch, Garnelen in Knoblauch, Sardellen in Vinaigrette, Aioli, and Pimientos de Padrón. The Godello wine was the perfect pairing. Each dish was full of flavor, and the atmosphere was great. We especially appreciated the warm and friendly service. Highly recommended for a fun and tasty evening!

The staff is very friendly. Somehow there was a mishap in the reservation and they managed to get a table for 7 people. There is a bit of a waiting time until you get food. The quality of food is really good as well. The two issues: 1. The place is a bit too small. So, we felt a bit crammed. 2. The prices are on the expensive side. Tip: A Pallella dish is marked for a single person, but it’s too much. We ordered 4 servings for 7 people and it was enough with the starters.

The food was good. What I found difficult was the service. The wrong dishes were served, which should have been for the neighboring table. Different servers came to our table, so one didn't know what the other was doing. Drinks/food were sometimes brought twice, etc. There was no apology for the mistakes, but rather, "it's not that bad." I think those words, if anything, are the responsibility of the guest. Even though the food was delicious, we generally didn't feel very comfortable.

Unfortunately, the food was bland and lacking in originality. The service was very slow, and the prices were extremely high. We can't recommend it.

Always a must for us when we're in Düsseldorf. No matter what you order, everything is fresh and incredibly delicious. There's something for everyone, whether meat or fish. We're already looking forward to September when we'll be back. Keep it up 👍

Be careful Restaurant writes down things that were not ordered and NOT delivered. Large water written down, we only ordered and received a small water. Otherwise very good cuisine! The rack of lamb is very good!

I have been to your restaurant several times and the food has always been delicious. Yesterday we were there with five adults and three children. I spoke to the boss and explained that unfortunately we didn't make a reservation, but we needed a large table. He then showed me a table with four chairs and wanted to bring an additional chair. I politely asked him to provide us with another table as we were traveling with small children. However, he replied that this was “forbidden” because the table would then be on the street. I showed him that there was another table outside and just as easily on the street. Unfortunately, the boss reacted very rudely and aggressively. He ultimately sent us away. While I was still talking to him, he simply said “Bye” and turned away. I've been a happy guest so far, but after this incident I'm definitely not coming back. You have lost a customer - good food alone is not enough when the behavior is so disrespectful. Politeness and respectful treatment should be a given, especially from the boss himself.

Two people were guests in the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. The service didn't exactly blow me away, sometimes very inattentive, and what I found very annoying was that you had to ask for service several times. Let's get to food. My starter was completely okay, although you couldn't go wrong with fried sardines. Let's come to the main course. I had lamb chops that were anything but well fried and were presented quite carelessly on the plate. But what bothered me the most was that the waiter didn't go to the table, check to see if the starter was finished, but simply arrived with the main course, where I still had my starter on my plate. That's not appropriate in a restaurant. And I don't want to be forced to shovel my food. When I asked the waiter about it, I got an answer. I could have said that. In a good restaurant I assume that this is the case and that the guest is asked. Overall it was okay, but not that it blew me away. But since I really like the ambience of the place, I will go there again and clarify these things in advance.

The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, even though it’s right in the center of everything. The street is lined with mostly Spanish restaurants, but Las Tapas stood out for its warm welcome and outstanding food. We came as a family—two adults and two kids—and everyone loved it. The tapas were absolutely delicious: perfectly hot, flavorful, and served promptly. From classic patatas bravas to sizzling gambas al ajillo, everything was fresh and authentic. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always smiling and making sure we had everything we needed without ever being pushy. It’s rare to find a place that’s both so central and so genuinely pleasant. Highly recommended if you’re in Düsseldorf and looking for real Spanish flavors in a relaxed and charming spot.

Ubicada en una tranquila calle lateral, a pocos pasos del animado paseo fluvial y cerca del histórico Rathaus, esta zona se siente como un rincón tranquilo de España en el bullicioso Altstadt. El ambiente era tranquilo y relajado, a pesar de que está justo en el centro de todo. La calle está llena de restaurantes en su mayoría españoles, pero Las Tapas destacó por su cálida bienvenida y su excelente comida. Vinimos en familia —dos adultos y dos niños— y a todos les encantó. Las tapas estaban absolutamente deliciosas: perfectamente calientes, sabrosas y servidas con prontitud. Desde las clásicas patatas bravas hasta las chispeantes gambas al ajillo, todo era fresco y auténtico. El personal era increíblemente amable y atento, siempre sonriendo y asegurándose de que teníamos todo lo que necesitábamos sin ser nunca agresivo. Es raro encontrar un lugar tan céntrico y tan genuinamente agradable. Muy recomendable si estás en Düsseldorf y buscas sabores españoles reales en un lugar relajado y encantador.

A nice restaurant in the (Spanish) pub lane. Friendly staff, good outdoor seating and invite you to linger. Unfortunately, there is a smell of drains every now and then, so that should probably be clarified.

Were here yesterday afternoon as a family of 4 and were surprised at how good, comfortable and inexpensive you can stop off in Düsseldorf's old town. The restaurant team is extremely friendly and helpful, the food is of very good quality, inexpensive and plentiful. A little too salty for me personally. We'd love to come back!

In the middle of Düsseldorf's old town lies this Spanish oasis with its tapas, all of which are fairly priced. In total, three tapas per person are enough because the portions are not small. The beers are only available in bottles, and of course the wines too.
