Las Olas in Hattingen

Ich bin einmal im Monat mit meiner Freundin da und es ist jedes mal aufs Neue super lecker. Das Personal ist sehr nett und die Speisen immer frisch. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr leckere Tapas, sehr freundlicher, und aufmerksamer Service. Draussen sitzt man auch sehr gut.

Dieses Restaurant ist absolut zu empfehlen. Wir haben uns durch viele Tapas durchprobiert und alles war sehr lecker.

Schöne Location in der Hattinger Altstadt, alles andere ist nicht so dolle: der Chefkellner wird schnell patzig und unfreundlich, das Essen dauert ewig und kommt dann auch noch in völlig sinnfreier Reihenfolge. Versuch war es wert, leider in die Hose gegangen. Ab jetzt wieder Comedor in Blankenstein.

Der Abend begann erst einladend. Dann mussten wir allerdings leider über 40 Minuten auf die erste Brotscheibe warten und der Kellner wirkte eher genervt als gastfreundlich. Das Essen selbst war geschmacklich durchaus gut. Allerdings wurden die Kartoffeln erst ganz zum Schluss serviert, als die Dips bereits kalt waren. Das trübt den Gesamteindruck etwas. Der eigentliche Tiefpunkt folgte jedoch noch während des Restaurantbesuchs: ich musste noch vor Ort, mein Mann erst zuhause mit heftigem Durchfall kämpfen. Ob das tatsächlich mit dem Essen zusammenhing, können wir natürlich nicht mit Sicherheit sagen – der zeitliche Zusammenhang und die Duplizität der Ereignisse spricht allerdings für sich und hat unseren Abend komplett ruiniert. Schade, das war dann wohl unser letzter Besuch! Wir hatten übrigens keinen Fisch, keine besonderen Tapas.

Super tolles Restaurant, sehr gutes und leckeres Essen, der Service wird mit 3 Sternen bewertet weil an dem dortigen Abend nur zwei Bedienungen alles regeln mussten und somit bisschen im Stress waren. Nichts desto trotz kann ich dieses Restaurant empfehlen. Coole und lockere Umgebung. Waren zu sechst ohne Reservierung und es wurde alles gleich organisiert damit man nicht lange warten muss. Top!

Wir waren Mittwoch zum zweiten Mal in Las Olas essen und es war wieder ein angenehm Spanisches Erlebnis. Unsere Tapas waren gut und sehr schmackhaft. Preislich sicher nicht im unteren Segment, aber Qualität, Zubereitung und Ambiente stimmten. Was ich bei diesem heißen Wetter (mehr als 35°C) vermisste war eine kalte Gazpacho.

Voll zufrieden. Wir waren mit Sicherheit dort nicht das letzte Mal essen. Tolle Qualität.

Wir besuchen das La Olas schon seit mehreren Jahren. Geschmacklich immer genau das richtige. Wir kommen gerne hierhin.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal dort, aber sicher nicht zum letzten mal. Sehr netter und zuvorkommender Service und tolle Speisen. Parken kann man bequem in einem Parkhaus in der Nähe und dann zu Fuss die wenigen Schritte in die Altstadt gehen. Es lohnt sich auf jeden fall.

Ich war heute ganz spontan mit meinem Vater im Las Olas essen. Leider hatte keiner von uns auf dem Schirm, dass heute noch das Hattinger Altstadtfest stattfand, sodass die Stadt sehr voll war. Dennoch wurden wir herzlich empfangen und nur kurz darauf hingewiesen, dass das Essen ein wenig dauern könnte - kein Problem für uns. :-) Wir bestellten uns die warmen Tapas für 2. diese kamen in Gruppen serviert, was ich sehr angenehm fand. So konnte man die Tapas in Ruhe genießen und war sowohl kulinarisch als auch platzmässig nicht überladen und überfordert. Alle Tapas haben vorzüglich geschmeckt und wurden auch optisch sehr ansprechend serviert. Der Service war sehr freundlich und bemüht und trotz der vollen Terasse hat sich niemand etwas anmerken lassen sondern strahlte eine souveräne Gelassenheit aus. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war durchaus angemessen und der Aperol war sehr lecker 🍹 Danke für den schönen Nachmittag, ich komme sicherlich wieder 😋

Chorizos waren fast verbrannt, genauso die Patatas Bravas. Als Brot wird Türkisches Fladenbrot serviert. Patatas Bravas haben die balkanische Ajvar als Soße dabei. Es war alles anders als authentisch. Das Positive waren nur das Aioli und die sehr netten Kellner.

Sehr gut und leckere Tapas gegessen. Leider war die Bedienung nicht ganz auf zack. Haben leider durch Missverständnis die Verkerten Menüs bekommen. Haben geschmeckt. Aber das Personal hätte uns ein bisschen mehr aufklären können.

Solide spanische Küche. Im Liefersevice leider nur Pizzataxi Niveau, kein Caterer!

Wir waren schon bei einigen Spaniern und leider war dies der schlechteste. Man wird nicht einmal gefragt, ob es geschmeckt hat. Aioli mit billigem Fladenbrot. Patas nicht knusprig, nicht gesalzen, und nur lauwarm. Haar in der Chorizo-Soße , und Chorizo in kleine Scheiben geschnitten - kenne ich als aufgeschnittenes Ganzes. Soße Hackfleischbällchen fade, da wenig Knoblauch. Salat und Boquerones waren ganz ok. Insgesamt ist das Essen einfach schlecht gewürzt. Das Ambiente ist draußen recht nett. Essen werden wir dort nicht mehr gehen.

Das Essen bei Las Olas war wirklich sehr lecker und auch der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich. Besonders für Gruppen ist das Lokal super geeignet, da man sich die verschiedenen Tapas wunderbar teilen kann. Man sollte allerdings beachten, dass es recht teuer werden kann, wenn man wirklich satt werden möchte – das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist hier im gehobenen Bereich. Zudem ist die Auswahl für Vegetarier und Veganer leider ziemlich eingeschränkt, sodass das Restaurant für diese Ernährungsweisen nicht unbedingt die erste Wahl ist.

Wir waren leider überhaupt nicht zufrieden. Das Essen war teilweise fast verbrannt und geschmacklich wirklich enttäuschend. Auch der Service wirkte sehr unerfahren und wenig aufmerksam. Insgesamt hatten wir nicht das Gefühl, dass hier auf Qualität oder den Gast viel Wert gelegt wird. Wer sein Geld sinnvoll ausgeben möchte, sollte sich lieber eine andere Adresse suchen.

Sehr schönes Restaurant, gehobene spanische Küche, gehobene Preise, aber es lohnt sich! Immer wieder gerne. Ausserdem ist es in Hattingen!!

Wer ein Lokal mit einem unterirdischen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sucht ist hier genau richtig.

Das Essen war großartig, der Service ausnehmend freundlich und nett. Ein perfekter Abend! Ach nicht zu vergessen der Rotwein, auch sehr fein.

Das Las Olas in Hattingen zählt für mich zu den besten spanischen Restaurants, die ich in den letzten Jahren besucht habe. Außergewöhnlich freundlicher Service, eine perfekt abgestimmte und unglaublich schmackhafte Tapasauswahl haben den Abend mit Freunden zu einem besonderen Erlebnis gemacht. Ich danke dem gesamten Team vom Las Olas für diesen wunderschönen Abend! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen...!ö

Das Essen hier ist wirklich gut und es gibt auch eine große Auswahl. Die Portionen sind, wie für Tapas üblich, allerdings nicht besonders groß und teilweise schon grenzwertig teuer. Satt wird man hier mit unter 40€/Person nicht. Das sollte man einkalkulieren. Zudem ist das Restaurant häufig sehr voll. Insbesondere an Wochenenden ist eine Reservierung dringend zu empfehlen. Abschließend lässt sich sagen, dass es hier leckerers hochwertiges Essen gibt, aber die Portionen bei den teilweise saftigen Preisen auch gerne etwas größer ausfallen dürfen.

Wieder ein gelungenes kurzfristiges Essen!! Kurz angerufen und mit Glück noch nahezu sofort kurzfristig einen Tisch für 1 1/2 Stunden bekommen! Leider konnten wir aufgrund unseres Nachwuchses lange nicht bei euch essen gehen. Heute hat es dann glücklicherweise doch noch geklappt. Essen wie auch der Service ist wie gewohnt erstklassig!! Jedes Gericht war und ist noch immer sehr lecker!! Die Servicekräfte sind alle freundlich zuvorkommend gut gelaunt und überaus kompetent. Wie kommen so bald es geht wieder!!

Ein spontaner Besuch. Wir hatten die Tapasauswahl, alles sehr köstlich und in der Menge reichhaltig für zwei Personen. Alle Tapas kamen in gut getimten Abständen an den Tisch, freundlicher Service! Empfehlenswert!

DER Spanier für Tapas und mehr in Hattingen und Umgebung!

Menukarussell 2026 im Las Olas Super Service, super Essen, super Location. Bereits bei der Buchung am Telefon wurden wir schon sehr freundlich beraten und fanden uns an einem Montag Abend ein. Die vielen Gänge kam sehr hübsch angerichtet und sehr schmackhaft daher. Von Trüffelmanchego bis Iberico - alles lecker. Der Service war sehr gut geschult und immer präsent. Wein wurde immer wieder nachgeschenkt bzw. angeboten. Da die Portionen doch sehr groß waren, schafften wir es tatsächlich nicht zum Hauptgang und das Dessert ließen wir weg. Der Hauptgang wurde uns freundlicherweise ohne Probleme eingepackt. Ungefragt wurden der Gesamtbetrag um gut 1/3 rabbatiert, wir glichen es mit mehr Trinkgeld aber wieder etwas aus. Wir wurden herzlich verabschiedet und kommen definitiv mit etwas mehr Platz im Magen wieder! 5***** +

Schöne rustikale Einrichtung, gute Essensauswahl und das leckerste Essen in einem Restaurant, was ich seit langem gegessen hatte (Steak). Dazu noch ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Perfekt! 👍🏼

Sehr schönes spanisches Restaurant. Die Tapas alle samt sehr lecker und bekömmlich. Suppe und Grillteller waren auch sehr geschmackvoll. Insgesamt ein schöner gelungener Abend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und auch sehr nett zu unserem 10jährigen Sohn. Preis-Leistung für heutige Zeiten völlig in Ordnung. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder!

Super leckere Tapas und ein immer freundlicher Service

Gute Qualität in tollem Ambiente. Gerne wieder. Haben das "warme" Menü für Zwei bestellt und waren sehr zufrieden.

Wir waren mitten in der Woche hier, es war sehr voll und laut, man sitzt wirklich eng beim Nachbartisch. Trotz vieler anwesenden Kellnerinnen musste man sehr lange auf Getränke warten. Das Essen hat meinen Mann und mich überhaupt nicht überzeugt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist in unseren Augen völlig unangemessen. Bei unserem Bruschetta ähnlichen Tapas war das Brot so dermaßen hart, es zerbröselte sofort. Die Tapas kamen mit großem Zeitabstand, so dass unser erstes schon fast kalt war, als der Rest kam (und wir hatten nur 3 zum Hauptgang bestellt) . Mein Salat mit Ziegenkäse war lecker, aber bei 12,90€ erwarte ich mehr als drei kleine Stücke Käse... Wir können keine Empfehlung aussprechen und würden auch nicht erneut dort essen gehen! Für fast 100€ erwarten wir auf jeden Fall mehr!!!

Super Tapas, tolle Einrichtung, super Personal, richtig lecker.

Essen war soweit gut, Bier 1cm unter Eichstrich gefüllt, manche Gerichte wurden erst auf Nachfrage gebracht. In Summe OK, aber würde wahrscheinlich nicht nochmal hin.

Las Olas bietet hervorragende Tapas in gemütlicher, entspannter Atmosphäre. Fleisch, Garnelen und Lachs waren saftig und köstlich, die Pommes knusprig und die Saucen eine perfekte Ergänzung. Die Portionen sind sättigend und ideal zum Teilen. Der Service ist schnell und freundlich, und die Preise sind fair.

Das war einfach köstlich und das Ambiente sehr einladend. Man konnte die Leidenschaft für gutes Essen wirklich spüren. Ich kann dieses Restaurant jedem empfehlen, der Wert auf Qualität legt. Ein Besuch lohnt sich definitiv!

Very crowded and noisy. The portions were smaller than usual and the meat wasn't well seasoned. Unfortunately, the hot sauce didn't live up to the description.

We were very disappointed! I can't understand the positive reviews. This has little to do with authentic Spanish tapas. Our tapas (15 different kinds) were either over-seasoned and drenched in oil or completely tasteless. The aioli was awful. The price-performance ratio is completely unreasonable. The quality is poor. A bread basket (5 small pieces of store-bought Turkish flatbread) with aioli costs €5.90. The portions are very small and simply not tasty. Based on the many positive reviews, we had high expectations and were simply disappointed. Furthermore, the tapas aren't all served at once but one after the other, resulting in very long waits. And some of the tapas were only lukewarm. The service seemed overwhelmed and unmotivated. The ambiance is generally appealing, but very warm, stuffy, and noisy. We paid €140 for four people and each only had one non-alcoholic drink. The food left us feeling heavy and indigested. Furthermore, the tapas aren't served all at once but one after the other, resulting in very long waits. That was our first and last visit there.

Opposite the main restaurant is the Bodega. It's a beautiful place, housed in an old half-timbered building. The food comes from the main restaurant, which is where the problems begin. The food was only lukewarm, which was particularly unpleasant with the lamb. Complaining to the staff was futile. They simply said they could reheat it. Such a poor offering alone is a damning indictment of the Las Olas restaurant. The very long wait for drinks only reinforced the bad impression. Never again.

As night watchmen in Soest®, we visited our colleague in Hattingen, who had recommended the restaurant. Booking was easy and the reception was very friendly. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. The wines were perfectly matched. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back.

We were there yesterday and were surprised at how crowded a restaurant could be, considering the people supposedly have no money left 🤔 But that also speaks for the restaurant 😉 And rightly so: The food is absolutely fantastic 👌👌, nothing but high praise 👏👏. You know it's expensive beforehand 😬. But unfortunately, the staff were completely overwhelmed by the number of guests... An hour-plus wait for a main course, or over 30 minutes between different tapas courses, is simply unacceptable... One person at the table had already finished everything, while the other hadn't had anything yet...😢 But I have to say...it was delicious 😋 🤤

The food was reasonably good and the place has very nice setup for Spanish restaurant. But the service was really bad. Their main waitress was very rude and has really bad attitude. We went there around 15:00 for lunch and she told us we have to eat fast because we did not have reservation( the restaurant was basically empty) When we left around 17:00 they have only thre3 tables with people( still empty) The waitress managed to mess up our order even after we write down what we want on their menu. When we're leaving she was talking on the phone and few people were waiting to be great and seated at the restaurant. Really really bad service. Don't waste your time there she can ruin your evening.

From the outside, Las Olas appears rather unassuming, almost as if you were walking by by chance. But once you've been inside, you know: This is a real insider tip! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the service attentive and friendly. The food was fresh, lovingly prepared, and of a high standard.

Went out to dinner with friends after a long time. It's still the best Spanish restaurant in the area. All the food is fresh and well prepared. It was very busy when we were there, which led to some orders being mixed up and the drinks being delayed. But you can always speak up. It can happen in such a busy place. A reservation is definitely a good idea.

My meal was good; I had a salad and bread with aioli. My friend's meal arrived wrong, and then only after we asked twice. We also only got our drinks after asking several times. I had almost finished my meal before the drinks and the second meal arrived. We had to pay inside because no one else came to our table. I wouldn't go here again.

The tapas are excellent and a taste experience. The accompanying wine is highly recommended. The service was very friendly, but communication wasn't always perfect. The location in Hattingen isn't quite as nice, but the seating is very comfortable.

Top food, we as holidaymakers here can really recommend the restaurant

We visited Las Olas on Saturday evening on the recommendation of friends. The three dishes we each chose arrived promptly and were very tasty. Nothing to complain about. But when I then wanted crema catalana, the evening, which had been going well up until then, took a serious hit. After 20 minutes without any dessert cream, I asked a waiter where the dessert was?! This went on for another 10 minutes without a result. After a total of 35 minutes, I got up and asked the waiter again about dessert. Is it being prepared immediately?! After another 5 minutes, it was finally on the table. And I had already had the coffee and cake 😡. The dessert was, to be fair, on the house with an apology. Then I asked for the bill. Again, time passed and the bill didn't arrive... The next table was also disgruntled because of the long wait. My conclusion: the food was very good, but the surroundings, like the service, are also important. And that was absolutely not right on our first evening here, and it ruined my evening. Therefore, there won't be a second visit. The first impression was too disappointing and annoying. Since I had already been to another Spanish restaurant in Hattingen some time ago, I was able to make direct comparisons and would rather book a table at the competitor.

Four of us went there for dinner today, July 20th. Unfortunately, a lot of things went wrong, starting with the reservation, where they wrote down the wrong name even though I spelled it correctly. Then they wrote down four people plus a dog, even though we don't have one. We ordered tapas, and the waitress (yes, she was new and yes, she still has to learn this, which I understand) couldn't even tell us whether the dishes we were served were the ones we ordered individually or from the menu. But he didn't refer us to a colleague, but left us alone at the table with those words. It's a shame, because the food was delicious, but the service wasn't so good at times.

If you want to enjoy great Spanish food with high quality and attentive staff, this is the right place

Good food, Above-average prices.

The menu offers a large selection of tapas, as well as main courses like steaks... we were looking forward to tapas, as we're used to them from Spain. Small bites that you can put together yourself for a reasonable price. That was the first disappointment. Four tapas easily cost the price of a main course, which was still bearable given the reasonable portion sizes. However, they were served like a four-course meal in Alsace, over a period of 70 minutes. Sorry, that's not possible, and then you have to run around the dining room with your food looking for help, wondering who ordered what. You shouldn't be thirsty either; after asking twice, a drink only arrived after 30 minutes. Another visit is out of the question.

This restaurant is worth to visit. We had a great meal and wine. The staff was very nice, professional and could speak English. The place itself has a really pleasant atmosphere. Would I ever go to Hatting I would definitely stop here.

I don't even know where to begin. I'm more than disappointed. We reserved a table for 8 p.m. today. There were four of us and we ordered tapas. First of all, we waited a really long time for drinks to arrive. The food took even longer. Then six things were forgotten. That was supposed to come later. At 9:40 p.m. two things were still missing. We reported this again. Then the waitress came to us, apologized and said the kitchen was closed and she was sorry! What is that? I ordered three things! I only got two. I was still hungry and she told me the kitchen was closed? Even though I ordered the food shortly after 8 p.m.? That's not right! And because they're so nice, she said she would take it off our bill 😂. Then I didn't know what else to say. Thanks for that? I order something that doesn't arrive and then she kindly takes it out. No concessions or discounts or anything else! So never again!

Las Olas is definitely worth a visit!!! The food is truly delicious, with a very nice selection. The drinks selection also makes a good impression and is a perfect match for a Spanish-inspired tapas restaurant. The not-so-low price is definitely worth it!

Good selection of delicious tapas. The service was friendly, but unfortunately a bit uncoordinated at times, so tapas were missing. So you have to keep track of what you have ordered and what you get. The shop has tight seating and it gets quite loud. Reservation recommended

The service was courteous. We only had tapas: The food was so-so. The octopus was burned. A lot of it wasn't very tasteful. What bothered us the most was that the tapas came to the table step by step over a very long period of time (>1 hour). The red wine was very good though! 😀 We paid €165 for 4 people.
