Langhans-Grillhaus in Berlin

A completely normal kebab place—nothing special about the food, pretty average. What really stood out, however, was the staff. They seemed rude and unprofessional, with no effort to be friendly or welcoming. They also looked unkempt and didn't seem to care about basic cleanliness or appearance. Overall, not a place I'd want to return to.

Dönner box didn’t have salad. Just meat. Meat is quite decent though. Would prefer to have salad inside.

Unfortunately, the lentil soup there is no longer tasty at all; it has no flavor at all and simply tastes bland. The same goes for the homemade bread. I won't be going back. What a shame. ☹️

The whole-wheat kebab is simply fantastic. Everything else has been great so far, too. Attentive and very friendly service. Am I remembering wrong, or did the Langhans Grillhaus not once ceremoniously open a beer keg? The Effes from the bottle is also very good. I think the place is simply fantastic. I had a fantastic evening at the Langen Hans Grillhaus in Berlin! The food, especially the doner kebab, was truly first-class – juicy, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere in the grill house is very cozy and inviting, ideal for relaxing after a long day. I would especially like to highlight our service: We were served by Maria, who was incredibly kind and attentive. She was very responsive to our requests and needs, making our visit even more enjoyable. You rarely experience such friendly and courteous service! I highly recommend the Langen Hans Grillhaus and am happy to give it a full five stars!

Based on the reviews, I expected more. The bread was very well toasted, the meat completely lacked flavor, and the sauces weren't very strong. It had potential with a bit of seasoning. Sumak actually belongs on every good kebab, but unfortunately not here. And the portions—€8 for this small kebab—I found it pretty cheeky, especially considering the classic minced meat skewer. My colleague's chicken kebab looked considerably more substantial for the same price. The display looked great; everything was fresh and clean, and the place had a restaurant feel. If they worked on the above points, this place would be perfect.

My absolute favorite kebab shop—or rather, restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is great. I've known the shop owners for about 25 years, when they still had a small stall.

A good place in itself; my friends and I used to eat there regularly. However, over the past few months, we've all independently gotten diarrhea the next day after eating there. So something has been off lately.

An absolute must-have and certainly already an institution in Berlin. The "Langhans-Döner" was already legendary in the 90s. We occasionally go there for lunch (very early, as it gets busy after 12 p.m.), and not only do we have a huge selection, but we also enjoy excellent service and a peaceful atmosphere. Many thanks to the entire crew!

Great grill house!!! Friendly service. The lady at the table was quick and friendly, and cleaned the tables frequently, as she should. The food was excellent! Prices were reasonable for these days. I had the Adana plate with fries and salad. Iskender was also delicious. My companion had a chicken plate with fries. Börek, burgers, fried cauliflower—everything was there. In my opinion, a good place. Not your standard doner kebab shop like in our area.

Original Berlin kebabs with classic herb, garlic, and spicy sauces. Comfortable seating inside and outside. You can order at the counter or order takeout. If you eat in, friendly staff will serve you at your table. Payments can be made in cash or with debit card.

I'd heard a lot of good things about the place, but was unfortunately disappointed. The service and staff were very friendly, but my Adana plate, which cost a whopping €17, was a complete disappointment in terms of taste. The meat on the Adana skewer was gristly and very bland, and the skewer wasn't cooked all the way through: partially burnt on the outside and still raw on the inside. Unfortunately, I ordered takeout, so I couldn't complain right away. It's a shame, because I'd only heard good things up until then. I'd give it at least 3* for the service and the ambiance.

Guys and girls: You're simply reliable! My friend and I have been eating at your place since school, when you still had the smaller shop next door. Your prices are absolutely stable! Keep it up. While others are getting more and more expensive and the portions are getting smaller, you can still get absolutely full at your place! Always fresh salad, delicious meat, and classic sauces (not that touristy nonsense). Drinks are reasonably priced, not too much. Absolutely great from you! Yesterday I ordered a BIG doner kebab to eat there, and because I thought the size was absolutely fair for the price, I immediately bought another one to take home (for today). Even my mother and work colleagues know you by now, and no matter who you ask, they always say: "Delicious, great prices, nice atmosphere," and much more. Stick with it and don't make the mistake of selling your doner kebabs at a higher price like some other shops. By then, your customers will be looking for something else. And someone who leaves once and is happy somewhere else rarely returns. "As expensive as necessary, as inexpensive as possible" seems to be a good motto, one you've taken to heart. Simply the best kebab! As a Munich native, I've tried many kebabs in Berlin, and this one is by far the best! Maria, our waitress, was so sweet and truly attentive! We'll definitely come back here 😍🤩

Good kebab, fresh vegetables and crispy fried meat (not dry!), kebab buns with sesame seeds. Personally, I think the garlic sauce tastes way too much like ready-made mayo-garlic sauce, and other kebab shops bake the bread themselves. But that's just complaining at a high level, and I would definitely go back.

The doner kebab here tastes excellent, one of the best I've ever known, so we come here often. We definitely recommend the doner kebab. It's made with house bread. It's also very comfortable to sit and eat there; it's not as uncomfortable as at most other stalls. The staff and service are always super friendly. Thanks.

Thirty years ago, Langhans Grill opened across the street in an old East German newspaper kiosk. Whenever I was nearby, I'd grab a kebab to go. Later, the shop across the street became vacant, and LG moved in. They now offer seating and service. At the end of May, LG celebrated its 30th anniversary. That alone speaks volumes about the quality and quantity of the grill. But the selection has also steadily improved. A visit is worth it, and not just for kebab lovers. We stop by several times a year.

Tastes differ, but everyone agrees: Berlin's best kebab! Everything is just perfect here: the ambiance, the staff, and of course, the food.

A kebab shop with the option of being served like a restaurant and enjoying a leisurely meal. Walk-ins pick up their takeaway food in the front area, and the restaurant area is in the back. This separation provides some distance from the hustle and bustle of the rotisserie. The food is delicious, fresh, and still reasonably priced. We like going to the Langhans Grillhaus. In the summer, you can also sit outside. Give it a try ✌️😋

*****Incredibly delicious food***** Congratulations on your 30th company anniversary. Almost everything Turkish cuisine has to offer is available here, either for dine-in or to take away. During peak times, there may be a slight wait. The Langhansgrill is no longer an insider tip 😉 All employees are quick, polite, and attentive. You can pay by card, there's a clean restroom, and you can find parking at the nearby Lidl (of course, because you shop there, of course). The tram also stops 100 meters away. Conclusion: It's worth adding!

Very well seasoned and fresh vegetables round it all out. A good kebab, and sometimes that's enough.

The most delicious doner kebab I ate in Berlin. The quality, spice balance and freshness of the meat were perfect. The bread is crispy and the sauces are just right. The staff is also extremely friendly and provides fast service. Especially the chef Cem Bey is an extremely humble and respectful character. If you come to Berlin, do not leave without visiting Langhans Döner, you will understand what real doner means here, it is a place where you will be happy with your loved ones, Ayşe. A down-to-earth grill house that does what it promises. The selection of food is good, the portions are generous and the quality of the dishes is solid. The grilled flavor comes through well, even if there was no culinary highlight. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall a pleasant visit. Ideal for everyone who likes honest, hearty food.

30 Euro for 30 min waiting for a chicken from grill with salad and one lentils soup and cola. 30 euros for this? In that time I can go to groceries and fetch stuff to prepare myself for ar least half the price. Quality is not what I expect from the grill. Sry I am not convinced for this huge amount money I pay. 30euro???

I've been a customer for 20 years. I've always enjoyed it here. Unfortunately, the prices regularly rise, but the quality never does. Quite the opposite. Therefore, my visits are becoming less frequent. I tried again today and was disappointed again. I tried to get falafel in bread, a mini version. It didn't work. Only the standard size. But it's too much for me. What's so difficult about that? One less falafel ball and it would be fine. Okay, then in the dürüm, please with extra cheese (+1€). I came home... no cheese in the dürüm, but I paid for it. Nice service, almost friendly... but what's the point if I don't get what I want or what I paid for? Will I try again? In a while? We'll see... I'll report back...

On International Women's Day I went to a meeting with my friends at the restaurant. The food, the ambience, the staff and the team in the kitchen were flawless, perfect, very personable, friendly. I was also very amazed at the hygiene. Very well maintained and hygienic. I have never experienced a work team like this before. Again and again. Thank you very much for the fantastic service and food

We tried several dishes here and all of them are delicious and tasty. Sandwiches are also very good and prices are reasonable. The service and the atmosphere is very friendly. Kids are welcomed here and they get a Lolly at the end of their meal.

On March 8th we went there as a family to have something to eat. We ordered three kebabs on the plate with salad - a pretty simple order. When ordering we specifically said we wanted the amount of a kebab box but served on a plate. A normal portion of kebab might have been too much for us. But the waitress (the middle-aged lady) behaved very unfriendly towards us when we ordered. She said in a harsh tone that a kebab box couldn't be served on a plate. Luckily she accepted it after all. When our food came, however, we were given kebab with fries - even though we had emphasized several times that we didn't want any sauce, fries or rice. When we pointed out that it was wrong, it was brought again, but this time it came with fries again, plus salad. Only after another correction did we get our food served properly, but even then there were still a few fries on the plate. We also ordered water, but it wasn't served in a bottle but in a glass. I didn't think it was hygienic at all - maybe it was even poured straight from the tap. However, the waitress continued to insist that we had placed the order incorrectly and spoke to us in a very unpleasant tone. She constantly tried to feel right and wouldn't even let us finish. Even though we remained polite from the start and tried to calmly explain the situation, she was just interested in a discussion and didn't listen to us at all. Their behavior was really rude - we couldn't even order in peace or express our wishes clearly. It seemed like she was just looking for someone to vent her anger on that day. Unfortunately we weren't satisfied at all.

Yes, I really enjoy being here. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos, I was too greedy. Everything was freshly prepared and, as always, absolutely delicious. A wonderful family business that definitely belongs here.

I only went there to eat under different circumstances. I probably had different expectations from Grillhaus. But now I've been there. But it's good for the fact that it's more or less lmbis. I had pre-booked a place for two...that went great. There was even wine 🍷 on the menu. But the fries would be best. Haven't had one this good in forever. I immediately ordered another load. Conclusion. A clear recommendation as a snack or to linger for a moment and enjoy your meal in peace.

Simply perfect!!! I would give 6 stars if I could. The kebab is awesome and mixed perfectly, the wrap was huge and for the normal average prices. Plus, the place has many tables, is well clean, and the friendly waiters serve you directly at the table if you’d like to - with a proper glass for beer. Awesome, very recommended.

I really like this place. I gave the food a 4/5 only because the menu is quite sparse. However, the preparation itself is very good. Prices are ok. The place is not too big, but not too small - just right. Parking on the street. I've been there twice so far and haven't had any major problems with parking. I will definitely go there again and I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

I was really disappointed with the kebab and the börek was soaked in fat. I ate it anyway, but had a stomach ache afterwards. Nice staff doesn't help either.

They have a really good grill there. Everything that comes from it (e.g. meat skewer) tastes great. The kebab is one of the best. And the chicken is delicious too. The whole team works together perfectly and is incredibly friendly, so you never have to wait long. However, the prices are crisp. Back then when it opened, kebab was 2€, today it’s 6.50€… :(

Best kebab in Weißensee, maybe even in all of Pankow. Many years ago the owner started in a small tin shack and today he owns an entire restaurant. Of course, there is not only kebab here but all sorts of other Turkish cuisine. Vegetarians will also find what they are looking for and get their fill here.
