Update October 13, 2025: Unfortunately, I have to retract my previous 5-star rating and can't give more than one star. In my Wolt order today, the otherwise delicious truffle fries came in new packaging, which was comparatively unstable, causing the fries to be completely soggy and squashed. The local fries used to be super tasty and crispy, even upon delivery, so why this completely incomprehensible downgrade? My burger was also completely soggy, and the paper it was wrapped in was completely soaked through and "fused" to the burger. I unfortunately had to pick the pieces of paper off the burger one by one with my fingers. If you can't even come close to maintaining the quality of deliveries via Wolt, then in my opinion you simply shouldn't offer it. Unfortunately, it seems like the next place that simply doesn't live up to its reputation. Best burger place in Berlin, I know it sounds trite, but it's definitely true. The truffle fries are the perfect side dish, always amazing, even as sweet potato fries, and always arrive crispy, which isn't always the case with fries at other places. I don't even need to mention the burgers; otherwise, I'd immediately get hungry again. A+ Now that the temperatures are warming up again, you can sit outside, so I won't just order takeaways in the future.

If you pick up your food, you can watch the delicious burgers being prepared. Otherwise, with only a few seats, it's not suitable for eating in. But that fits the concept and is totally fine.

The burger was okay, but the fries and curly fries tasted old and soggy, as if they'd been sitting for a few hours. Definitely not fresh from the fryer. Disappointing for the price.

I've ordered this many times, by far the best burger around – amazingly, they even manage to keep the fries crispy after a 20-minute delivery! Many other places could learn a thing or two from them!

The bar is set high for burgers; with Bobsek and Route 66, there's competition that's hard to beat. The place doesn't do much; I thought it was more of a delivery shop. And then, bang! I've never had such mega-sized parmesan fries or avocado fries. The stuff is so delicious, I can't believe it. The burgers are even more ahead of the competition. The cheeseburger, barbecue burger, and the one with the double beef are all way ahead. Absolutely recommended.

On August 2, 2025, I spontaneously ordered a burger at Doppelt Käse because I'd often been told that the place makes great burgers. What can I say? On that day, at least, they completely screwed up with my order. You walk into the place and the place is pitch black (not exactly inviting). There's only outdoor seating, which isn't a big deal. The guys behind the counter who are making burgers can't even raise their heads to say hello, so the customer knows they've been registered as a guest. At some point, someone thought, "Let's take their order." I ordered a double cheese and a Coke. I was sitting outside and had already opened the bottle of Coke. I waited a ridiculous 30 minutes for a burger. In the meantime, other guests who arrived after me and had ordered similar things had already received their burgers, etc. The Coke was now at room temperature. Then the burger arrived, and it was the wrong one 🤦🤦🤦🤦 so I had to wait again... After a few minutes, the double cheeseburger arrived, and quite honestly, this thing is a poorly designed item. The buns were kind of fluffy, but also dry inside. Unfortunately, I had 2-3 small pieces of gristle in the meat, which really spoiled the eating experience. On top of that, the burger sauce is absolutely bland, and the burger falls apart while eating, even though there's a wooden skewer in the burger. The tomato slice wasn't seasoned, which in turn took away the flavor. The fries were okay, and the price was okay too, if they could/had done a better job with the burger. And with that, you have immediately lost a potential customer.

We absolutely love ordering from Doppeltkäse! We've never been there, so we can't comment on the ambiance. Everything has always been delicious, and the Parmesan fries with truffle mayonnaise are our favorites, along with the chili cheeseburger. 🍔🍟🥰

The burgers are excellent, whether chicken, beef, or vegetarian/vegan, I can really recommend them all. The absolute highlight for me are the parmesan fries with truffle mayo and spring onions; they can't be beat. The service is also great! The guys always have a big smile on their faces and are very accommodating. In my opinion, there is no better burger joint in Berlin. (I've been going there about 2-3 times a month for the past 4 years.)

Ordered 3 burgers (chicken, cheese, and double cheese) and 2 fries (curly and parmesan) on the spot. From the time we walked in to the time we left, it took 25 minutes. It was freshly made for a Sunday evening, and the quantity was great. A firm patty, and everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Everything was still warm, despite the 10-minute walk home. Everyone was friendly, and we'd gladly return.

There's a good selection of burgers and fries. There are even several vegan burgers. It's more of a delivery or takeout service, but there are also some seating areas outside on the terrace for dine-in.

You can tell they care about quality here – every bite was well thought out and the flavor was spot on. But the real highlight: THE FRIES! Truly – I've rarely had such good fries. Super crispy on the outside, soft and potato-y on the inside – exactly as you'd want them. No greasy taste, no soggy stuff. Fresh, hot, and in a portion that's impressive. I'd come back for that alone! Even if you can't sit in the shop, that doesn't detract from the experience. Orders are delivered quickly, the staff is friendly, attentive, and in a good mood even when they're busy. You can tell: things are going well here. For me, "double cheese" is now a permanent fixture in my burger routine. Perfect for lunch breaks, a quick evening snack, or simply any time you're really craving good cheese and awesome fries.

Food and price performance is very good. The staff and service are almost without exception top. The only small negative point is if you want to eat on site, you sit outside and on the street near a church. My personal favorite burger in Berlin for 4 years. And I would recommend ordering by phone in advance, which can sometimes save you time.

We placed an order at 6:16 p.m. and at 8 p.m., after unsuccessful calls, we were informed that the order had been canceled. After repeated recommendations from friends, I ordered cheese from Dopplet for the first time yesterday. I have to say that I eat burgers very often and also have my top restaurants. Doppelt Käse is definitely in the top 3 and definitely the new number 1 in Steglitz. We had 3 different burgers and they were all delicious in terms of taste and appearance. In any case, you have gained a good new customer.

I have ordered from Doppelt Käse several times and to this day it has always been very good. Today I had an absolute disaster. Fries and burgers had probably been ready for a while. The fries were drowned in sauce and therefore soft and sticky. There was leftover cartilage in the burger. And I remembered the double cheese burger, which looked and tasted better. It's a shame, because unfortunately you lost a customer.

The food looked great, but unfortunately the burgers weren't tasty at all. Somehow they didn't taste like anything (BBQ burgers and cheeseburgers). Unfortunately we couldn't eat the Gorgonzola Burger because the cheese tasted so intense and artificial. Would try a different burger place next time. Too bad! Sidenote: We ordered through UberEats, but the restaurant delivers itself. I only live 10 minutes away and the delivery time was ok at 40 minutes. The food just didn't come until 80 minutes later and the store didn't adjust the time in the app, nor did anyone answer the phone, so we didn't know whether our food would come at all. Unfortunately, thumb points down.

Eat exactly as it should be, burgers, juicy, crispy fries. Even had a beer that I didn't know, which rarely happens. Take a little time during peak times, but in my opinion there won't be long waiting times. You can only eat outside so it depends a little on the weather.

We find the delivery to be “very fast” at less than 30 minutes on a Friday evening. Eat: Curly Fries: Incredibly crispy for delivery conditions, tastes good, unfortunately a bit too salty House fries: Here too, very crispy for the given conditions and tasted good too. Burger: We find it incredibly difficult to rate the burgers. In our order, both burgers were texture-perfect. I ordered a VEGAN Beyond Chili Cheese Burger and instead received a chicken burger, a burger with meat. I understand that mistakes can happen in the catering industry, but that's really annoying and unpleasant. I ordered through Wolt and wrote to customer support and it took a while because I didn't want a repeat order, but rather a refund, which unfortunately I only received in Wolt credits and only for the price of the burger itself. That The restaurant told Wolt customer service that they were really sorry and I believe that too and there isn't much that can be done about the situation. As a gesture of goodwill, I would still have expected the entire order or at least another part (chips or drink) to be refunded, as I had requested in the chat. After this experience, as I continued reading more reviews, I saw that it doesn't seem to be the first time that meat has been delivered instead of a vegan product. Personally, I definitely cannot recommend this restaurant to other vegans/vegetarians. I also ordered sweet potato fries, which I didn't think was totally bad, but not really good either.

Unfortunately I cannot share the positive reviews. The burgers are served on an aluminum tray. A little more salt wouldn't have hurt and the tomato is well hidden. In addition, sparingly packaged ketchup and mayo, which is only enough for half the fries, is subpar (there are burger companies that make their own side sauces). The fries were okay but very tasty for 3.90 euros. There are really good burger places in Berlin but "double cheese" isn't one of them for me.
