Landhotel /Restaurant Zur Schmitte in Schmallenberg

Very disappointing treatment regarding arrival time. The site is available, arrival time 1:30 PM. The reservation stated 4:00 PM. We were contacted about the arrival time and we were told that the arrival time would be 4 p.m. Doesn't match what's on the site. Then tried to make contact by phone, but no answer. Then emailed again, got no response.

I spent 5 days here all-inclusive with my dog, who was welcome! We enjoyed the beautiful room, good food and super service. We took wonderful walks, all in all we really enjoyed it!!

Were there last weekend. Large room, breakfast and dinner were great. Great entertainment in the evening. Would love to come back, friendly staff.

We had a fantastic holiday with our dog! The room is nicely decorated and is clean. The bathroom is a bit dated. The staff are very friendly and hospitable. On the 2nd day at the hotel, the drinks were already placed for us when we came to dinner. Plenty of choice in food for both breakfast and dinner. There was something different to take away for dinner every evening. On Saturday we chose to eat a cart instead of the buffet. This is highly recommended! Every Saturday schnitzel Saturday. Very tasty freshly made schnitzels. The evening with live music was very enjoyable! This is a really nice addition to the stay here. Bo has many great tips for activities you can do in the area. Dennis makes delicious cocktails! The hotel is also very welcoming when it comes to dogs. Upon arrival we received a nice bag with treats for our dog. Our dog was not short of biscuits at Dennis's Bo also makes beautiful, sturdy collars and leashes for dogs! In different colors and sizes. We took one with us as a reminder of our wonderful holiday here. Dennis and Bo thank you very much for everything!

Stayed for a few days with friends! Super cozy, delicious food, very friendly staff... We will definitely come back again 😊 Bo and Dennis keep it up thank you 😉

Won a weekend away via Facebook. We enjoyed it very much. Contact went well, we were well received. We had everything all inclusive. Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner that you could all enjoy! In the evening we drank delicious drinks with nice Dutch music that made people dance! Rooms looked good, slept wonderfully. The area can be viewed everywhere by car and there is plenty to do. Highly recommended for everyone. Nice hotel and friendly people :)

Had a great stay with you this summer. The beautiful rooms with balconies are tastefully decorated. Conviviality through and through. Delicious food, good breakfast and Dennis keeps the drinks flowing in the evening haha.. Oohh and he makes delicious sangria!😍 Your hospitality Bo is great, you really do everything you can to make everyone happy.🥰 Fun activities are also organized, especially the live music is highly recommended.🤩 And the other staff are also super friendly and hospitable. And all in beautiful surroundings. Thank you, we will definitely come back again!

We had booked a midweek and were able to extend a few more days. We enjoyed the enormous hospitality, service and conviviality. Bo and Dennis are very friendly people who try to organize the stay according to everyone's wishes, despite the limitations regarding staffing. Bo and Dennis, you are great! Weekend away with the motorcycle. It's all a bit old. Exactly as you expect in old German style. The rooms are well maintained and we slept well. The service is more than good. Nice homely atmosphere. More like staying with someone than staying in a hotel. Bo and Dennis, thank you and probably see you next time.

Strange experience, came into the restaurant just after 7:00 PM to have something to eat. There was a sign outside that dinner could be served from 5 p.m. The bartender went to ask if the cook could prepare something, but he couldn't. The kitchen was already closed. Were redirected to the pizzeria a village away... Also prevented us from eating here later that weekend. Location-wise, it's fine, but the service is nothing.

We were here for a motorcycle weekend with a few friends. Very tasty food and drinks, nice rooms, good atmosphere, everything was great. The very friendly host Jan, in addition to being a creditable bartender, also appears to have the necessary singing talents, we were completely impressed by his live performance. Keep it up, we will definitely come back! Compliments!

Very nice hotel. Nice staff, good food, pleasant evenings and lots to do in the area. Have been here several times and it remains a great stay.

We were here for the 2nd time last weekend. Again with several couples with huskies. All dogs were more than welcome! Very hospitable hotel, rooms are neat. Food is good and the area is really great if you like walking. Absolutely recommended to really get away from it all, just a 2.5-minute drive from Arnhem!

Alles goed voor elkaar, hoogwaardig diner en compleet ontbijt! Voorzieningen zijn meer als prima, gastvrij en schoon.

Erg leuk gehad samen met onze 2 hondjes. Het is er netjes, schoon en gezellig, en er is een speelplaats voor de honden. Het eten was ook erg lekker. We gaan zeker nog een keer heen.

Het weekend van 20 januari hier verbleven met een sneeuwdek van 25 cm. Super! We hadden onze 2 labradors bij ons in een comfort plus kamer , gewoon top! Goede bedden, lekker warme kamer bij buiten -9 graden. Lekker ontbijtbuffet en prima maaltijden. Goed verzorgd dus! Live muziek 🎶 boven verwachting gezellig . Ook met honden aanrader!

Wir waren heute da! Total gemütliches Restaurant mit einer sehr leckeren Küche. Preis/Leistung ebenfalls sehr gut. Das Personal ist tip top! Auch Hunde sind herzlich willkommen. 🫶🏽 Sehr zu empfehlen!

7 jaren genoten bij julle maar het laatste kerstverblijf viel tegen helaas en zeker de eerste kerstavond was een afknapper sfeerloos.ik miste toch de gezelligheid die Dannie altijd bracht.

Wij komen hier sinds september 22. Van horen zeggen is er dedtijds een overstap gemaakt. Geen idee hoe het voorheen was maar nu is het gewoon goed. Voor de 3de keer nu daar geweest. Midweek, weekend en nu met sylvester. Eten (zeker het eten) drinken, kamers alles is goed verzorgd. Ze hebben een leuke kaart naast de all inclusive vooral voor cocktail liefhebbers (exclusief wel) al met al een goed concept. Avondje live muziek, en er was sjoelen georganiseerd. Niet ons ding maar goed toch vinden mensen dat leuk. In de bar is er voornamelijk zelf bediening. 3 gangen diner met soep en dessert buffet. En eten nabestellen kan ook altijd (mijn man is een grote eter dus daar maakte we ons wel wat zorgen over) ga zo door .
