Landhotel Kistlerwirt in Bad Feilnbach

The Kistlerwirt is a traditional inn that impresses in every way. Not only the beer garden, but the entire inn offers an authentic atmosphere that immediately invites you to feel at home. The beer garden is as it should be: the tables are comfortably spaced apart under shady chestnut trees. ​The service is excellent. A quick, friendly, and courteous gentleman served us promptly, so both our drinks and food were served promptly. ​The food is of very good quality. You can tell that the food is cooked with care and fresh ingredients, which makes the price-performance ratio absolutely reasonable. ​Getting there is extremely easy, as there are ample parking spaces directly in front of the inn. Whether you enjoy the relaxed beer garden atmosphere outside or take a seat inside, the Kistlerwirt is the perfect place for a traditional stopover with honest, good food.

Unfortunately, I can no longer confirm my positive review from 5 years ago. We go to the Kistlerwirt at least 4 times a year. However, the food has declined considerably over the last 2 years. Half of the side salad comes from a jar... What a shame! The main courses have also declined. Burnt burger buns... Yesterday we were so disappointed that we went there for the last time. The veal liver was undercooked, our two main courses arrived lukewarm, and the dessert, which was already melting, arrived after the cappuccino was finished. The staff, who have worked there for years, were quite irritated. Too bad, Kistlerwirt! From now on, we'll only go to the competition. Review 5 years ago: Very nice beer garden. Very good, home-style cooking. Friendly staff. I highly recommend it!

The food was really, really good, as always. The service was a bit overwhelmed; two incorrect drinks were brought, and the waitress left faster than we could complain. The mistake was noticed and corrected immediately, but we were still charged for the incorrectly brought drinks. In our opinion, this isn't correct and certainly not necessary for the restaurant. A shame!

We visited the restaurant as day-trippers; it was well attended, and the food was excellent! The service was prompt even though it was very busy, and they managed the garden almost single-handedly (I think she was the boss herself!?). We would go back anytime :-)

First of all: The food was excellent. The liver spaetzle soup, the venison roast, and the fried chicken were all truly delicious. The service was also very prompt. As soon as I started on the soup, the main course arrived. Instead of potato salad, I was served fries without any further notice. Only after asking did I discover that the potato salad was sold out. Okay, that can happen. But then I expect a free small drink at the end as an apology. The fact that I didn't get one is what prompted me to write this review. It's a shame.

Huge and very beautiful place with plenty of seating, including outside. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat; we didn't understand why, as the lady we asked only spoke German. There was a party going on, so maybe that was the reason. It's a shame, the menu looked interesting.

We had a reservation for five people in the beer garden, and it was a wonderful evening. Very attentive service and delicious food and drinks at fair prices. Plus, a fantastic view of the mountains and countryside.

We stopped there for a meal on the way back from vacation. It was very 👍 good!

Due to the bad weather and the resulting closure of the nearby campsite, we had to look for an alternative for the night and chose the Kistlerwirt. We didn't regret it. The room was warm and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The menu offered good traditional Bavarian fare. The vegetarian options were a bit limited. The restaurant also had a real pub atmosphere, with locals at the regulars' table. Great! 😃 Everyone was very friendly and on the ball. We'd love to come back!

We went here for dinner with 15 people. Everyone enjoyed the food. Our favorite was the Wiener Schnitzel. The service was excellent. The interior is decorated in a lovely, cozy country-style. We'll be back.

The schnitzel was frozen. The service was unfriendly, and according to one employee, the garden area near the entrance had reserved signs posted due to a staff shortage. We were frequent guests. We also participated in the Alpine pasture course. We certainly won't be back.

Bavarian hospitality at its finest. A beautiful old house, a bright and adequately spacious room with a wonderful four-poster bed. The bathroom is small but perfectly formed. Everything is spotlessly clean. A good dinner and a delicious breakfast. The inn is located on the main street, but the double windows ensure peace and quiet.

We ate there last night (Carnival), it was very busy, but the service was still super friendly! It's also very cozy, and the food is really good. We highly recommend a visit! The three of us were there for 10 days at the end of May and were simply overwhelmed! The warmth and cordiality is simply beautiful! We felt completely at home 😃 The food, the rooms, the service, the kindness, the conversations... simply perfect for relaxing and unwinding, and if anything should happen, just ask the friendly manager, she'll take care of it immediately! Yes, delicious food in the beer garden... good value for money. Too bad the restaurant is closed from Tuesday to Thursday...

We stayed at the Kistlerwirt for three nights. Very friendly service, spacious, rustic rooms, and good food. The only downside was the room facing the beer garden (we had a small child with us), as it was quite noisy.

My wife and I went there for dinner, and I'm only reviewing the food, service, and ambiance. A very charming Bavarian restaurant with excellent food and very friendly and prompt service. I'd especially like to praise the asparagus dishes featuring the delicious Schrobenhausen asparagus. Thank you very much, we'll be happy to come back.

We just wanted to have a quick drink of shandy, but the two ladies serving us couldn't decide where to seat us, even though the beer garden was only a third full. It's a shame, the beer garden is very idyllic.

If the restaurant were open more often it would definitely be great

We were in the annex (at least it seemed to be a newer part of the building) which seems to be from the 80s/90s, except for the television, everything has remained a bit there. Way too colorful bathroom tiles, defective pleated blinds on the windows, terrible cheap plastic bedside lamps, water didn't get warm in the shower... Positive: clean, that's the most important thing. Breakfast was 'okay', but not really special. And that's what you actually want on vacation. Price-performance: I think it's okay for Bavaria, but it shouldn't have cost more.

We were there for dinner. Unfortunately, it wasn't our taste at all. Salad dressing from a bottle. The dressing was horrible, and the frying grease was old.

Friendly isn't always easy. If you don't come with a large group, you don't seem to be welcome here and are greeted with a "That's bad." The rest of the "service" was also very reserved. The food was okay, and the prices were reasonable. However, not all dishes are served identically. Sometimes the cranberries are missing, sometimes the salad. There are plenty of parking spaces right outside.

Wir sind zufällig hier gelandet und waren rundum zufrieden. Schöner bayrischer Gasthof mit sehr freundlichen Personal und leckerem bayrischen Essen. Beilagensalat waren super! Schnitzel sahen sehr lecker aus. Unsere Schweinebraten war sehr gut und der Rest auch. Solides Essen zu fairen Preisen! Wir kommen gerne wieder 😍

We ate at Kistlerwird today. I like to judge the food by the “burgers” on offer. The Bayernburger offered here is an experience. Lovingly served with curled fries (in a small frying sieve), it appealed to me visually. The meat was juicy and medium fried (even though I wasn't asked how I would like my patty. But it also has to be said that we were there in a larger group (approx. 60 people) and the always friendly waitresses were very busy had to do) The buns were fluffy and the chef understands that bacon has to be crispy. It was an experience. I didn't meet a single guest in our group who didn't enjoy it. High praise and I look forward to visiting the Kistlerwirt again.

Poor quality. The roast pork is tough, the sauce and the dumpling are out of the package. The cheapest products were used. The food was slapped listlessly onto the plate. Not recommended.

We have never been served so brazenly in our lives!!!!! After 45 minutes the old glasses were still at the table and after we asked three times if we could please order something, the waitress went to the next table and asked if everything was OK. Other guests next to us also waited in vain for something to drink. Sorry, but if you hire pensioners then they should at least be clear-headed and able to keep track of the guests and not go out and back in empty-handed! And when you ask whether you can order, you are then rudely shouted at, it's simply outrageous and it no longer excuses your retirement age!!!

Extremely unfriendly! Even though the entire interior area was free, we were literally looked at like little children without any greetings, saying that we weren't allowed to sit down like that. You can't do it. Even if the latter is true: Service would then be to put up a sign at the entrance saying that you will be assigned a seat and that you will then be taken there with a greeting of the day and with the friendliness that would be expected given the prices charged. After almost 40 years, this was our last visit today. The location is only beautiful at first glance, because there are vermin buzzing around under the trees, which are actually beautiful; You can hear the latent sounds of trucks, tractors and motorcycles whizzing past in your ears. They didn't want us in the cozy room It's better to go to the Ludwigstubn or Bärenstubn. Their staff is friendly and attentive and brings the term service to life.
