Landgasthof Zum Heidekrug in Bad Orb

Very poorly signposted and an incredibly unfriendly reception. I don't know if the man who deigned to hand over the tourist tax form actually owns this hotel. Regardless, the way this person behaved bordered on impudence. If the room hadn't been paid for in advance, I would have left immediately and looked for an alternative. Even if it had ended up being a park bench.

Everything is very, very delicious, the hosts are cheerful and very friendly, you feel well looked after and can enjoy the food. The bill is a pleasant surprise. We'd be happy to come back. I can't rate the room; I didn't stay there.

We stopped in Bad Orb and stayed overnight at the Heidkrug. Not only did we meet two lovely and very hospitable owners, the country inn also offers excellent value for money! The small stream burbles along soothingly; it's a shame that you can't hear anything at night with the blinds closed. Absolutely clean, cozy rooms, close to the town center and the spa gardens. Highly recommended!

Simple, but everything is there

We spent one night at the inn and had a cozy, very clean room. It was absolutely fine for the price. The host couple is super nice and accommodating, and the atmosphere is relaxed and informal. In the evening, we ate in the restaurant, and it was delicious and the prices unbeatable! It had a rustic and cozy atmosphere. At the end of the night, we all chatted with the hostess and the guests at the next table and rounded off the evening with a glass of beer and wine. Highly recommended! We wish the family all the best and continued success in business 🤝

This is one of the worst reviews I've ever had to write. First, I want to describe the incredibly unfriendly host. After we ordered (which was accompanied by grimaces), we got our food. When I politely asked for mayonnaise, I was told that he would of course go out extra for it. But he wished he had been informed right away. Absolutely outrageous. If I hadn't spent the last evening with my companion, I would have gotten up and left by then. Now for the food... The small side salad is truly to be taken literally. Furthermore, it was anything but fresh. It was carelessly topped with sauce that seemed to have come from a tube. It tasted that way, too. I ordered the whisky schnitzel. The sauce was probably ketchup with whisky. I wouldn't even give it a star. Likewise, my companion's Camembert schnitzel only deserved one star at most. Even less. All in all, all I can say in conclusion is, move on. Find one of the countless restaurants in Bad Orb that guests appreciate. Across the street is the old train station. I was able to give it 5 stars. Here, I can only appeal to the innkeeper to give up his job. Or to find love in his profession again. I can't rate the rooms. But one thing is for sure: Once and never again. 🙏🏻

This is my third time here for a rally event in Wächtersbach.... The Heidekrug is run by a very nice, hospitable couple. The rooms are nice and bright and clean. I always enjoy coming back here.

A very cozy, shady outdoor area with a stream in front. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, but the portions could have been larger for the price. Nevertheless, we were satisfied. Cash only!

This small, owner-operated inn is very clean and offers everything you need for a comfortable stay for a modest price. A cozy beer garden serves home-style cooking. Don't expect luxury here, but everything is tidy and you can't complain. Public transport is good (bus), and there are plenty of parking spaces for cars.

Great! Very welcoming, affordable, and very clean. Everything you need is there. Great location and free parking is available for guests. There's a TV in the room, plenty of storage space, and the rooms are easily accessible.

I was very satisfied. Simple, clean room including bed linen and towels. Nice hosts. A quaint little restaurant with a beer garden and delicious food. The opening times are also great. If you want to sit comfortably in the evening, you won't be sent away at 8 p.m., like in other restaurants in Bad Orb.

We stayed here for one night with my family because I was in Bad Orb for rehab. Check in and service were friendly and problem-free even though the operators were actually already on vacation. Dogs are welcome and we were kindly given rooms right next to each other. The price-performance ratio is great, clean, spacious rooms with a mix of new and older furniture and TV. The location is perfect as you can be in the old town and the rehabilitation clinic in just 2 minutes. There is no breakfast offer, but there are 3-4 options for breakfast around the corner at local shops, bakeries or in the café. All in all recommended!!!

Folks, the few steps from the center are worth it. The food is great and the prices are absolutely reasonable. The kitchen is top-notch; the chef cooks himself, and it's delicious!

Nice inn with hotel. Rooms are spacious, but the bathroom is small. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Location takes some getting used to as it's on a main road. All in all worth recommending.

Ich war hier zum essen und kann es jedem empfehlen. Das Ambiente war stimmig und das Preis-Leistungverhältnis des Essens war super. Ich hatte das Whiskey-Schnitzel und kann es jedem empfehlen. Gerne wieder.

Schade, leider musste ich wegen Krankheit mein gebuchtes Zimmer stornieren. Und musste den Betrag trotzdem komplett bezahlen.

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und nette Gastgeber

Waren heute mit unserem Mädels-Stammtisch das erste Mal hier. Das Ambiente ist ansprechend, gemütlich. Der Service top und das Essen hat uns 6 Mädels auch super geschmeckt. Wir hatten einen schönen und vor allem lustigen Abend (Geschirr-Inventur 😄). Kommen definitiv wieder!

Waren im Restaurant essen, war super lecker. Sehr nettes Personal, wir haben nichts zu bemängeln. Gut zu wissen fürs nächste Mal: Es gibt keine Kartenzahlung.

Wir waren 2Tage in Bad Orb. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und haben uns von der ersten Sekunde wohl gefühlt. Sehr schöne Außen Terrasse, richtig einladend für laue Sommernächte. Unser Zimmer war neu renoviert und sehr geräumig,das Bad ist riesig und auch für Ausgewachsene geeignet. Das Essen ist sehr gut und kann ich sehr empfehlen,. Der Spessart habe ich jetzt in sehr schönen Erinnerungen und auch Bad Orb ist eine Reise wert.

Hab ein Schnitzel gegessen, war echt total lecker! Wir waren in Eile und das Essen war sehr schnell da. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen

Nette Wirtsleute,schöner Biergarten und 1A Hähnchen

Ich war vor kurzem zu Gast im Landgasthof "Zum Heidekrug". Mein Hund und ich wurden nett empfangen. Wer keinen großen Luxus sucht, findet hier ein nettes preiswertes Zimmer und ein gemütliches Bett. Und eine kleine gemütliche Kneipe "urig", so wie ich es mag. Das Abendessen war reichlich und sehr lecker 😋. Die Umgebung ist traumhaft. Viel Wald zum Entspannen und Genießen mit dem Hund. Der Kurpark lädt auch zum verweilen ein. Schön fand ich auch die Altstadt mit den vielen kleinen Gassen und Fachwerkhäusern. Sehr nette Leute hier, mit denen man gleich mal ins Gespräch kam. Ich komme sehr gern wieder und bedanke mich beim Heidekrug für den schönen Aufenthalt und das auch mein Hund herzlich willkommen war. Sehr zu empfehlen! Liebe Grüße!

Gemütlich, heimelig, herzlich, offen... Hier erhält der Gast ein rund-um-wohlfühl-Gefühl. Hier trifft alt auf modern in gesunder und gut durchdachter Gestaltung aufeinander. Ein fröhliches Grün zieht sich durch die Räumlichkeiten. Wir waren 3 Tage mit 2 Erwachsenen und 2 kleinen Hunden hier. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Derzeit gibt es keine Möglichkeit hier im Restaurant zu frühstücken (Essen ab 17 Uhr, Stand 26.02.2023), aber es gibt ausreichend Möglichkeiten sich zu versorgen oder versorgen zu lassen. Wenn Bad Orb, dann hier (auch ohne Hunde). ❤️

Tolle Pension, nett eingerichtete Zimmer mit allem was man braucht. Top Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Ich war sehr zufrieden.

Perfekt, um jemanden in der Reha zu besuchen. Tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Kostenloses Parken im Hof. Frühstück im Cafe Liebe gegenüber, neben dem Bahnhof zu empfehlen. Schade, dass in Coronazeiten keine kostenlose Stornierungsrate angeboten wird, sonst hätte ich gleich wieder gebucht.

Wir waren hier zum Essen und haben gemütlich im Außenbereich gesessen. Das Essen war hervorragend und die Gastleute sehr nett. Gutes schmackhaftes Essen zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Wir kommen gerne Mal wieder.

Wenn man unterwegs ist und einfache Übernachtung braucht ist es super. Stern Abzug für den fehlenden Frühstück.

Gemütliche Deutsche Gaststätte mit sehr netten Besitzern. Es gibt auch einen Außenbereich um bei schönem Wetter draußen zu sitzen. Das Essen schmeckte lecker und die Preise sind sehr angenehm 😉

5 Stene, weil ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt habe. Das Hotel ist sehr gemütlich und familiär. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und nicht nur oberflächig. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und man bekommt grosse Portionen, also man verhungert nicht😊 Nicht zu vergessen die Gastgeber... sehr nett, zuvorkommend und immer erreichbar und ansprechbar, falls irgend ein Anliegen besteht. Also, das Hotel empfehle ich sehr gerne weiter.👍🏻

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal hier. Das Zimmer, Bad und Restaurant sind sehe gepflegt, sauber und sehr gemütlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren am Samstag da um den 80ten Geburtstag unserer Tante zu feiern und es war super. Das Essen war MEGA lecker, die Gastwirte sind super nett und wir wissen, dass wir nicht zum letzten Mal dort waren.

Sehr nette Gastgeber und super schöne und saubere gemütliche Zimmer, wir haben uns die 2 Tage hier sehr wohl gefühlt.

Eenvoudige maar schone kamers voor een schappelijke prijs. Gezellige stube met uitstekende " gut burgerliche kuche". Wordt gerund door een hardwerkend echtpaar dat hier in mei 2021 begonnen is. Bijzonder aardige mensen. Op de gevel staat nog "Ertraut" de naam van de vorige eigenaresse die nu 95 is en op deze manier in ere wordt gehouden. Hulde daarvoor.
