Landgasthof Rössle in Wangen im Allgäu

Together with our 16-person seminar group, we were served very courteously and charmingly despite the inn being at full capacity. Every course of our menu was very tasty: from the fresh starter salad to the Allgäu schnitzel to the chocolate mousse dessert, everything was lovingly prepared and left nothing missing. The friendly, almost teasing manner of the wait staff (probably the manager of the house) also made the stay at the Rössle a very pleasant and enjoyable evening. Thank you very much for everything!

After we hadn't been to the restaurant for a few years because the long-time owners had quit, we are now back there using the gourmet voucher. You can tell that the new owner family are restaurateurs with heart and soul. The man manages the kitchen, the woman manages the service. We were served very friendly by the boss and had a nice chat with her. In addition to a good home-style menu, seasonal dishes are also offered. We decided on the wild boar roast with spaetzle and red cabbage, which was also beautifully prepared and tasted very tasty. The portion size was also such that a full-grown man could satisfy his hunger, which is unfortunately rare these days. The price for this was absolutely reasonable. Overall, we really liked it there and we will definitely come back more often. Keep it up!

The food was super tasty. We had three different dishes, all of which were delicious. Beef roulades are highly recommended. We'll definitely come back. The price-performance ratio is very good. The portions are sufficiently large.

Unfortunately, portions are far too small for the (high) prices. Unfortunately, it doesn't really fill you up. Also not particularly lovingly prepared. Taste ok.

What should I say? 5/5 stars I think speak for themselves. There were two of us, we didn't make a reservation, but we were still welcomed very nicely. The food came quickly and was very tasty. The dessert also scores highly. I'm writing this review just after my visit and my stomach is still tight. In short: it's worth it!

The food tasted good. But I'm annoyed about the portion sizes. Over €20 for the dish and you could have eaten three plates without going overboard. That is no longer in proportion. I should have had the courage to speak up about it on site because I don't think I'll go there again.

Wir sind nach 13 Uhr für ein Mittagessen eingekehrt. Bestellt haben Rahm-Schnitzel und Käsespätzle. Beide Gerichte sehr lecker, der dazugehörige Beilagensalat himmlisch. Lieben Dank an die Bedienung, die mit ihrer ruhigen Art bei uns für eine rasche Entschleunigung gesorgt hat. Preis-Leistung top! Würden hier immer wieder einkehren.

We had a wonderful evening at the Rössle country inn in Oflings! As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted by the boss and accompanied to a comfortably set table. Our drinks and food came quickly, and the food was simply great: we were thrilled with the Allgäu cheese schnitzel with spaetzle and salad, the onion roast with crispy fried potatoes and the children's plate of schnitzel with crispy fries. Everything is fresh and perfectly prepared – the meat is tender and of high quality! Our son was also thrilled and enjoyed every bite. A great family experience that we will definitely repeat soon. Absolutely worth 5 stars!

On the journey home towards Munich our stomachs were growling and we came across the Landgasthof Rössl. We had a great meal there! The freshly made schnitzels with fries (made from fresh potatoes) were delicious, and the tender roast beef with fresh, crunchy vegetables and potatoes was also highly recommended. I've read some comments about frozen schnitzels, but I can't confirm that. The hosts were also very friendly. We'd love to come back!

Ate very tasty 👌 Allgäu cheese schnitzel with spaetzle WITHOUT sauce: meat juicy, cheese spicy, if spaetzle is delicious, it doesn't have to be swimming in any sauce... Onion roast was the most tender ever. Excellent. Discovered the inn by chance while driving past. Gladly again! 2 Austrians

New owners for some time. The food was very good. Price wise okay. Very child friendly!

Very nice beer garden, unfortunately a bit noisy because of the country road. Condition inattentive, you have to talk to her often to get something to drink. They don't see themselves. Food prepared in a boring manner, relatively tasteless, not much for the price. We won't go there anymore. For example, on the map it says: Sausage salad, you only get it in the evening. Why? My guess is that at lunchtime they want to sell overpriced food. 18€ for a few fries with “tk” schnitzel. Small side salad 6.50 "lots" of leaf lettuce, 3 different raw vegetable salads, quantity one teaspoon each.

We went there for lunch last Sunday by chance. We found space in the small but beautiful and cozy beer garden. Right from the start we were greeted and looked after in a very personable and friendly manner. This lady loves and lives her job, super great. All three of us decided on the onion roast. We had ordered medium and medium was also on the plate, super tasty, crispy fries and a nice little mixed salad. We were also very positively surprised in terms of price. We'll definitely be back. Good German cuisine as you wish 👍

Have driven past a few times, the beautiful restaurant is a real eye-catcher. We ate there today and it was very tasty. The fries are not frozen fries but fresh and you can tell that in the taste. We can't understand at all why people complain that there is supposedly only one vegetarian dish. Because this is not true. The menu expressly states that you should speak to the staff. We'll be back, thank you very much.

Auf dem Weg zur Landesgartenschau in Wangen kehrten wir im Gasthaus zum Rössle ein. Es war sehr ein sehr entspannter, angenehmer Aufenthalt. Das Wiener Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln und auch das Allgäuer Käseschnitzel mit Spätzle und Salat schmeckten uns sehr gut. Die Bedienung war flink und freundlich, wir fühlten uns sehr wohl in der gemütlichen, holzgetäfelten Gaststube. So stellen wir uns eine erholsame Rast vor.

Very disappointed 😞 I was still hungry! The onion roast, the meat was good but the fried potatoes were little and not fried as they should be 🤷‍♀️ the side salad 🥗 soo little and small 🙈😢 I miss Marlis ☹️

We were here for the first time today under the new operator. Unfortunately we were really disappointed. The menu is very small, vegetarian selection 1 dish. (Cheese noodles) The pancake soup had no taste and had to be sent back. Käsespätzle was not homemade and was greasy. The side salads and all the side dishes were very good!!!! Small. We didn't get enough. Very unfortunate. It would be a shame if the restaurant didn't survive, but if everything stays like this, the chances of success are slim.

Stopped off at the Rössle on the way back from Lake Constance. Locally under new management recently. The cheese spaetzle tasted average and the portion was more than “clear”. Admittedly inexpensive at €9.50 (without salad). However, it is better to charge 11-12 euros and adjust the portions. In any case, we weren't full. The side salad, which was ordered separately, was also rather small and consisted of green salads and beetroot. The green asparagus salad with smoked salmon was garnished with enough salmon, but it wasn't a revelation in terms of taste. Service and drinks (prices) were okay. In summary: There is still room for improvement for a traditional Allgäu restaurant with good home cooking....

Cozy, middle-class, family-run inn with very good food. The handmade spaetzle is a delight and highly recommended! I'd love to come back. Addition a year later: the pepper cream steak was perfect. Simply great food. Will definitely come back. ---------------------------- Change of tenant in March 2024: We miss the Maultaschen with potato salad on the menu. Please offer again! Otherwise, good food was brought out very quickly, although the main courses were a bit carelessly prepared. The side salad is clear and too small for me. The dessert (panna cotta with raspberry sauce) was very good. The menu is balanced, but it should be up to date: sweet potato puree was not available. It's nice that the Rössle is open again. But there is room for improvement. PS: The side salad picture was taken before the tenant changed 😊

Great German restaurant with friendly service and very tasty food, I went there with my family a few times and it was always a culinary delight. The guest rooms are furnished with attention to detail, creating a lovely atmosphere.

Super freundliches Personal. Haben spontan, obwohl es sehr voll war noch ein Plätzchen bekommen. Das Essen war sehr gut und ging auch echt schnell. Und ein besonderes Sternchen dafür, das wir auch noch auf unserer Durchreise für eine Nacht mit dem Camper auf dem Grundstück stehen durften!!! 👍

Auf der Vorbeifahrt mit den Motorrädern entdeckten wir diesen Gasthof mit kleiner Gastterrasse. Zwei Tische waren frei, einer davon mit reserviert Schild, also setzten wir uns an den anderen. Es war Sonntag der 20.08.2023 um 13:48 Uhr. Sehr zügig kam ein Kellner um uns zu sagen, dass wir nichts mehr zu essen bekommen könnten weil der Gasthof um 14:00 Uhr schließt. Wir antworteten ‚schade aber noch wichtiger sei etwas zu trinken bei der Hitze‘. Die Antwort kam prompt, etwas zu trinken könnten wir auch nicht mehr bekommen. Es waren 34 grad Celsius Außentemperatur und wir waren erkennbar sehr durstig. Völlig verdutzt standen wir auf und gingen zu unseren Motorrädern, standen da noch eine ganze Weile im Schatten mit Blick auf die Terrasse. Um 14:05 Uhr wurde an einem Tisch nochmal Essen serviert. Was für ein erbärmlicher Laden.

Gestern waren wir auf der Durchreise in Allgäu und haben bei Landgasthof Rössle angehalten. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Vielen lieben Dank an die nette,liebevolle, blondhaarige Dame die unsere Getränke und Essen serviert hat.Sie sind eine tolle Frau.

Sehr leckere bodenständige Küche.

Kurzfristig sind wir an einem Montagabend eingefallen. Der gut besuchte, rustikale Landgasthof wartet mit bürgerlichen Gerichten auf. Zum Essen wählten wir Cordon Bleu mit Pommes und einen Schweizer Wurstsalat. Beide Gerichte waren ausreichend und lecker. Für uns eine klare Empfehlung für die Gegend.

Genau so stellen wir uns ein typisches allgäurisches Wirtshaus vor! Ambiente gemütlich, rustikal so richtig zum wohlfühlen!

Das Essen war wirklich gut und ausreichend. Leider war der Herr der uns bediente, zu seinem Stammgästen außerordentlich freundlich zu den regulären Gästen leider nicht.

Ein schöner Landgasthof mit sehr schmackhafter Küche. Bisher hat sich jeder Besuch gelohnt!

Gute Auswahl an Speisen. Leckeres Essen zu angemessenen Preisen. Maultaschen für den kleinen Hunger reichen auch für einen etwas größeren Hunger zur genüge.

Wer kein Fleisch isst, sollte besser woanders essen..Relativ langweilige vegetarische Auswahl und Veganes sucht man hier vergeblich. Geschmeckt hat es mir, aber ich esse sehr selten Fleisch.

Klassischer Landgasthof mit viel Holz in den Gasträumen. Essen war wie immer sehr gut. Hatte mal wieder einen Grillteller mit kleinem Beilagensalat und von der Brauerei Farny ein Hofgutsbier. Einfach und gut 👍.

Tolles Lokal mit einer sehr leckeren Speisekarte

Waren heute auf der durchreisen und sind hier eingekehrt. Absolut Super, freundliche Bedienung, sehr gutes Essen und reichlich. Nur zu empfehlen. Leider von unserem Heimatort zu weit entfernt für den mehrmaligen Besuch.

Sehr nette Bedienung. Das Ambiente macht auch ein angenehmen Eindruck. Leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich, deswegen 4Sterne. Für das Essen gibt es 4Sterne, da einiges auf dem Grillteller etwas trocken war ...

Gute Wirtschaft, bürgerliche und sehr schmackhafte Küche

Alles was wir bestellt hatten war frisch gekocht, sehr, sehr lecker und überraus reichlich. Hier gibt es beste Qualität, super leckeres Essen zu einem fairen Preis. Alles sehr sauber und die Wirtsleute samt Personal sehr nett.

Essen war lecker,aber zu viel Mücken. Zumindest außen war es so. Das Essen hätte 4 Sterne bekommen.

Auf dem Weg in den Urlaub kamen wir hier vorbei. Da schon sehr viele Autos standen, nahmen wir an- hier ist es lecker zu essen. Wir setzten uns in den schönen Gastgarten. Trotz der vielen Gäste wurden wir sehr freundlich und zügig bedient. Auch unser Enkelkind wurde nicht übersehen. Das Essen war ober lecker und wir werden uns dieses Lokal für den nächsten Urlaub vormerken. Zum Schluß gab es für die Enkelin noch eine kleine Süßigkeit. 100 prozentige Weiterempfehlung
