We were invited to a birthday party and had the large alcove on the left with a really big group. The venue was absolutely tasteful and decorated with such care! The food was wonderful, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious! A huge compliment to the chef :-) Despite the large group, the service was perfect! We were never left thirsty, but the service wasn't intrusive either – perfect management. Justine and Pamela are fantastic, by the way <3 We will definitely be back!

We stopped here and tried the ice cream and iced chocolate – both were delicious! The atmosphere is lovely, and the view is fantastic. Of course, you should definitely make a reservation on a Sunday afternoon when the weather is so nice! We spontaneously got a table outside for two, but that can't always be guaranteed... Update: We had our Christmas party here, and it was absolutely wonderful, and the food was incredibly delicious!!

We stumbled upon this country inn unexpectedly and were immediately greeted with a very warm welcome. The food is lovingly prepared, you can tell 😉, and it tasted simply delicious, and the portions were plentiful. The two girls are open-minded and very friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant. There's also a lovely beer garden, with free-roaming 🐰 and 🐓 animals frolicking in and around it... simply cozy.

We had chicken soup with Maultäschle (a kind of dumpling) and a Mediterranean tomato soup in the beer garden. Both were delicious.

An inn with many unique selling points. The ambiance alone, with its polite chickens, is worth a visit. The menu is extensive, the food is truly delicious, and the atmosphere is very friendly. Just go there and try it out!

The location is truly beautiful – you immediately feel at home there. Unfortunately, we had to wait a full hour and a half for a currywurst. We absolutely understand that it can be stressful at times, but in such a case, a brief reminder about the longer wait would have been really helpful. Had I known it would take so long, I certainly wouldn't have ordered this simple dish. The cake, however, was truly delicious!

We were fortunate enough to celebrate our wedding at the beginning of September at the Landgasthof Mariaberg by Just&Ela. For us, it was a dream location, with its small chapel and beautiful beer garden with a fantastic view of the mountains. We celebrated there outdoors with 50 people, and it was simply fantastic. From the very beginning, we were supported with great ideas during the planning phase, and no request was turned down. Not only our food requests (appetizers at the champagne reception, the evening buffet, dessert, and a midnight snack) but also every single cake, including our three-tiered wedding cake, were prepared with love, and everything was delicious and looked absolutely stunning! The entire team did a fantastic job, and you more than deserve the 5 stars. Our guests were all absolutely thrilled, too. Thank you so much for everything.

I've been there several times for dinner with my wife or friends! The food is delicious, the service is excellent, the beer garden is a dream with a beautiful view of the mountains, and the staff is incredibly friendly! We'd definitely love to come back!

On August 31, 2025, I reserved a table for 6 people, and it worked out. We got our food after half an hour. They just slammed the bottle of wine on our table without asking how many glasses we needed. 100 grams of chicken breast with fried potatoes cost 19 euros 😢 2 schnitzels with mushrooms were without mushrooms 🤦‍♀️, a plate of spaetzle and a schnitzel with fries and two cabbage fritters. A total of 155 euros for 4 adults and two children. I had no idea it was an upscale Michelin-starred 🌟 restaurant and not a day trip spot. Once, never again. The staff was nice but completely overwhelmed.

A beautiful beer garden with a stunning view of the entire Allgäu Alps! This setting alone is worth a visit. The super friendly and attentive staff also makes your stay even more pleasant. The food is excellent: the "Filettöpfle" (a kind of pasta dish) with pork fillet is a real treat, as are the various schnitzels, soups, and other specialties. A particular highlight are the homemade cakes – not from the freezer, but fresh and made with love. You can taste it in every piece. Families will also get their money's worth: children can roam freely and even have the opportunity to observe and discover animals – which makes the visit even more enjoyable. When it's busy, you sometimes have to wait a bit – but the wait is absolutely worth it. And when it's less busy, things move quickly. All in all, a perfect place to enjoy good food, friendly service, and a unique view of the Allgäu Alps!

4 stars for the location. This country inn is also a popular day-trip destination. But everything in the garden was reserved. When we asked about a seat on a Sunday in beautiful weather, we were told, "If you just want a drink, please go inside. There's nothing left to eat, we're completely overbooked; otherwise, you'll have to wait 1.5 hours for your food, which is unfortunately the case when the weather is nice." The empty table in front of us was reserved from 2 p.m. I would have been interested to know when they got their food. Therefore, no review of the food. I wonder why they don't have a short menu then? There was no cake at 2 p.m. either. What kind of restaurateurs are these? If they were business-minded, they would have set up a few beer benches and tables, and we would have gotten the drinks ourselves. By the way, I no longer accept the excuse of a lack of staff, because it works elsewhere.

A very nice inn with excellent food. I can definitely recommend it!

The view and location are great, but the food? Well, for the price, we expected more than warmed-up convenience food from the supermarket. I had the festival schnitzel with about 70g of schnitzel and 100g of bitter melted onions, topped with cheese. The cheese and onions were inedible. The wholesale-market spaetzle with the ready-made sauce were okay. My son had a Wiener Schnitzel, and the quantity and taste were quite good.

Sweet and rustic, it's also been given a makeover, with a new playground suitable for very young children up to about three years old. You also feel like you're in nature, with free-roaming chickens around the tables and in the meadow. The interior is also very nice, with a very sweet, rustic feel.

We celebrated a birthday there yesterday. We had actually reserved inside because we weren't sure what the weather would be like at the time of booking. When we arrived, our table was beautifully set outside because the weather was really nice. Thank you for that! We ordered Prosecco for 12 people to toast. It was a gift from the house! Where else can you find something like that? The food arrived at the table at the same time, and everyone enjoyed it. We loved that there was something for everyone. Whether meat, vegetarian, or vegan... everyone had a choice. The prices are the same as everywhere else these days. Eating out isn't as cheap as it used to be, so it's all the better when it tastes good :) The waiters, especially the young gentleman, were super friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you! And the wonderful ambiance with the animals. I highly recommend it.

Ambiente im Innenbereich ist in Ordnung, auch wenn es an manchen Plätzen ein wenig zieht, sobald die Tür geöffnet wird. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Aber das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt bei manchen Speisen und Getränken überhaupt nicht. z.B. der Beilagensalat - er bestand aus Eissalat, zwei Scheiben Tomaten und einem Ring gelber Paprika. Das Hauptessen - Krautkrapfen - bestand aus zwei dünnen (max. 1,5 cm) Scheiben mit ca. 8 cm Durchmesser und vielen verkohlten Zwiebeln ...und das für 16,60 Euro. Auch das Rhabarbersaftschorle hat lediglich süss geschmeckt, aber nicht nach Rhabarber und das für vier Euro zwanzig für 0,4 l.

The inn is definitely worth a visit. You can tell that the new owners are putting a lot of heart and soul into their work. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, but the wait was simply too long. You can tell that some of them are untrained and make an unnecessary amount of walking. Nevertheless: very friendly, and that's the main thing for me. All the dishes were very tasty and delicious, but the portion sizes were manageable in my opinion. If I hadn't had the soup first, it wouldn't have been enough for me. Some family members found it "a bit small." So if you're really hungry, you might want to order an appetizer. We skipped dessert because, despite repeated requests, the menu didn't arrive for 30 minutes, and by then the kids were starting to want to go home. In the staff's defense: It was very sunny and accordingly busy. They did their best, and the wait was bearable because the garden was otherwise very pleasant.

Das Personal ist wirklich sehr freundlich, das Essen war sehr lecker und es gab ausreichend Auswahl. Der Hof ist mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht und es laufen sogar Tiere frei herum, welche zahm sind. Wir können es nur herzlich weiterempfehlen den neuen Besitzern trotz der schlechten Bewertungen hier eine Chance zu geben, es lohnt sich!

Well... it's a very nice, interesting restaurant... but I would have expected more delicious and fresh food from the kitchen.

We celebrated our daughter's baptism here today with coffee and cake. They made us a christening cake that tasted absolutely delicious and looked very sweet. The table was beautifully set when we arrived. The staff was very friendly. The prices were also absolutely fair. We had a lovely afternoon here and will definitely come back for dinner soon.

With a beautiful Alpine panorama, you can enjoy excellent food at fair prices. The service is professional and very friendly. The free-range chickens in the outskirts are very entertaining. It's a great place to unwind after a long day at work.

The location is perfect, with the chickens, etc. It's a great idea. Allgäuer Brauhaus is a disaster, but the restaurant can't do much about that. I found the food to be pretty standard for the price; there's still potential for better quality! Service was okay.

The service is very good and some people are joking. A lot of the ambience has been improved, especially in the outdoor area. The food didn't quite meet my expectations for the price. The meat is not juicy but dry and the ketchup taste predominates in the currywurst sauce. But all in all, we are very happy that the country inn with the magnificent view of the Allgäu Alps continues to operate.

The view in the beautiful beer garden has always been great, and now the food is finally good again. Delicious, reasonably priced, good service: what more could a man/woman want?

We booked ourselves into the Landgasthof Mariaberg for a family event of 23 people (children and adults). The preliminary discussion and the “test meal” were great and we made a selection of different dishes. The hosts have created a loving menu and set the tables according to the event. The service was also very friendly and accommodating, but not intrusive. Big personal 5-star praise to Meikel. We felt very comfortable and are “threatening” to visit again ;-). We are happy to recommend the country inn. A great destination and definitely worth a stop.

Waren gestern in diesem liebevoll geführten Landgasthaus auf dem Mariaberg. Ein junges und sehr freundliches Team hat das Restaurant erst vor kurzem übernommen. Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden etwas , ohne dass man 15 Seiten durchblättern muss. Das Essen ist super lecker und man kann auch eine kleinere Portion wählen. Ein wunderschöner Biergarten mit herrlicher Aussicht über Kempten rundet den Besuch ab. Sehr empfehlenswert!!!

We visited the Landgasthof Mariaberg yesterday. Unfortunately, we later discovered that we were charged an additional €2 for a dessert we ordered without the included chocolate sauce and eggnog – even though we actually received less. I'm happy to pay full price for a dessert, even if two components are omitted. But then charging an extra €2 because the "recipe was changed" is absolutely incomprehensible to me – especially since we weren't informed! I only noticed it the next day when I looked at the bill – what a shame. Transparency and fair treatment of guests look different. One thing is clear to us: We won't be coming back.

You will feel very welcome here as a guest! Just as you wish. The view from the beer garden/terrace is wonderful, everything from Zugspitze to Grünten can be seen. The dining room is comfortably furnished in a country house style. The beer tastes good, the Swiss sausage salad is good and the service is first class. A little gem with incredible views! The Swiss sausage salad was delicious, especially the dressing. However, I was most impressed by the “mistresses” who immediately captivated me with their warmth and passion. I haven't felt this good in a long time, thank you for that. Also recommended with crutches, as the parking lot is very close and the outdoor terrace is easy to walk on. However, it takes three steps up to the restaurant.

Recession changed thanks to new operators. Were there again yesterday for the first time. I knew that the owners had changed and was positive. We weren't disappointed. The food was great and even though we had to wait longer (it was still a baptism), we were always served in a friendly manner and apologized for the long wait. Why no pictures? Because you simply have to convince yourself of the great food and the new ambience! Clear recommendation and I will definitely come back often.

The previous tenant is history, it's a shame, the beautiful location is still pretty, the new staff is friendly, unfortunately the kitchen suffered a lot with the change, I wasn't expecting Kässpatzen at Fertigfrass level.

In my partner's words, the apple strudel was world class. The team's atmosphere is relaxed and warm, which makes Mal feel comfortable and welcome. The theme of chicken runs through the entire concept, map and decoration. A common thread that doesn't overwhelm you. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

We have been to Just & Ela 5 times since December and every time we feel very well looked after. The service is super warm and children and dogs are always welcome! The price-performance ratio is also right and so far we have always enjoyed it! It's also great that there are both vegetarian and vegan dishes, so there's something for everyone!

First of all: I do not write anonymously, as some comment replies claim. And no, this is not character assassination – criticism should be accepted and respected. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. The food consisted of finished goods, which could clearly be tasted. The meat was tough. I would definitely have expected something better for the prices quoted. Overall it was a disappointing experience and I will not be returning. And once again I ask that you accept criticism and hopefully don't expect an outrageous answer.

I definitely won't recommend it, the finished products are just not my taste (as we all know, tastes differ) If I want ready-made food, I can eat it at home. Service makes an effort and tries to do its best. Still wish you good luck for the future.

Were regular customers of the old tenant - but not in the last few years because unfortunately it wasn't good anymore. The beer garden and the view are an absolute godsend.!! That's why we were really looking forward to the new restaurateurs at mariaberg. Unfortunately, the first meal was merely satisfactory. Above all, portion size and prices are not proportional. Taste was ok. I also think that rustic "men's food" is offered very little... (there are also people who eat pork....) The main reason for my review, however, is the fact that I paid €9.50 (!!!!) for a portion of fries last week - so sorry, I think that's absolutely outrageous and needs to be reconsidered because it's really a disgrace. PS: I like to regularly review my experiences in numerous restaurants - mostly positive... Unfortunately not here.

Location great. Service ok (if you can speak English). You don't have to expect culinary delights here, but a reasonably tasty potato salad seems to be difficult. Also no place for children. There are no children's chairs and the small playhouse is in dire need of renovation or is dangerous. There was a change of ownership in 2024. This review was therefore exclusively for the previous operators! I received a personal and nice invitation from the new team. Very commendable!! However, due to the distance, we will not be able to accept the invitation for the time being. I wish the new team much success anyway!

If there were 10 points for the service I would give it. My mom wanted soup, but was concerned that she wouldn't be able to eat the main meal. She was offered a small sample portion. And it came with 4 spoons so everyone could try it. The food wonderful. 200 percent increase. Highly recommended
