Exceptionally good food, a wide selection of traditional German cuisine - especially dishes that one had long thought to have "disappeared".

We were passing through and found this lovely inn. The food was fantastic, just like Grandma used to make. The service was incredibly friendly and the food arrived very quickly. Highly recommended.

The roast beef today was so ridiculous; I've never had roast beef like that served before. I have proof—pictures that I'll show the manager on my next visit, and the really nice waitress shared my opinion that it really has nothing to do with roast beef. The schnitzels are larger and the meat is thicker than the roast beef, and they cost €10 less. I recommend everyone to get the schnitzel.

The Landgasthof Krone in Auenstein impresses with its truly good, classic Sunday-style charm. The food was down-to-earth and honestly cooked, the sauce was hearty and homemade, and the dumplings had just the right consistency—light and fluffy yet nice and firm. Price and quality are truly unbeatable here. The ambiance is cozy, and you immediately feel like you're at a family dinner in the countryside. It was especially nice that the dining room still smelled of roast meat and fresh parsley, something you rarely find these days.

The food is top-notch. No matter what I've eaten there so far. Highly recommended, and the price is reasonable and, above all, justified! Taking food for pickup is also a good option, and it's cleverly done on-site, as you can pick it up in the hallway. This way, you don't have to go all the way into the restaurant. When picking it up, the food is VERY WELL packaged. Even the Maultaschen soup wasn't a problem to transport. 😀 Staff are quite stressed but always try to be friendly. The ambiance is rather simple, understated, , rustic, perhaps a bit dated. But you don't come to a restaurant for the decor, right? We'd be happy to come back or pick it up again. Overall, highly recommended.

The food is delicious. The value is excellent. Friendly service. A variety of daily specials at sensational prices. Even the small portion was sufficient for me. Another plus: many dishes are available in small and large portions. There is ample parking. One star deducted because the restaurant (for women) is not walker/wheelchair accessible. The women's restrooms are on the first floor and can only be reached via a few steps. Otherwise, everything is perfect 👌👌👌

Everything was simply superb. We found the inn by chance on our way home. It's a family business, run by the fourth generation. Great food at reasonable prices. Very friendly. A quaint restaurant. It's a few kilometers away from us, but we'll be stopping by often.

We were given this address during our layover. The welcome was anything but friendly, and as Belgians, we were treated like "pariahs." We ordered a schnitzel and were given something else. When we asked for the bill, we were told that a foreign debit card wouldn't work and that we had to withdraw money from a nearby bank! Only after paying did we receive a detailed bill! As far as I know, you first receive the bill with details of your drinks and then have the option to pay by card or cash. In short, a very poor welcome, and we won't be returning. A shame.

I waited a long time for someone to arrive; I almost wanted to leave. There was no greeting or friendly greeting.

Ate here while passing through. The fried potatoes were excellent. The käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) and rahmschnituel (cream schnitzel) were absolutely terrible. The spaetzle was fried in butter and some from a packet, then a slice of house beer or something similar on top, and that was it. The cream sauce was completely awful, and instead of non-alcoholic beer, we were served a regular beer. I was really very disappointed...

Anytime again, delicious food, very friendly service, very close to the motorway if you want something different than rest stop food.

Wir kamen an einem lauen, sommerlichen Samstagabend ohne Reservierung. Trotz voller Hütte durch ein Jubiläum bekamen wir noch einen Tisch auf der Terrasse. Die Bedienung war super nett und aufmerksam. Die Gerichte werden überwiegend frisch zubereitet. Handgeschabte Spätzle, klein geschnippelter Salat und ein Rostbraten vom Feinsten. Alles richtig gut. Wir werden garantiert Wiederholungstäter und freuen uns schon jetzt auf den nächsten Besuch.

We arrived on a warm, summery Saturday evening without a reservation. Despite the restaurant being packed for an anniversary, we still managed to get a table on the terrace. The service was super friendly and attentive. Most of the dishes are freshly prepared. Hand-grated spaetzle, finely shredded salad, and a roast beef of the finest quality. Everything was absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be returning and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Stopped in here spontaneously due to an accident on the highway. A truly delicious salad plate, something you rarely find these days. Excellent value for money! Highly recommended.

Highly recommended. Always good for a trip followed by lunch in the Krone.

Price performance is good. What's positive is that a 0.5L draft beer costs less than €4. Ambiance in the next house so well. What I found bad was that our group of 10 people received very different food. Some were finished long before the others got the last side dishes.

We chose the Krone based on the many good reviews and were unfortunately disappointed. The service was super friendly and the food was served quickly. Unfortunately, there is more mass here than class. The Maultaschen were ok and the best. The slices came out of the deep fryer and were dry and not particularly tasty. The venison goulash tasted quite bland and the roast pork wasn't tasty either (it tasted like it had been thawed).

It was nice to eat here often and it was always delicious. Great service, absolutely recommended

Swabian rustic. The taste from childhood. All is well with the world here. Despite the full house, the food was on the table quickly. The meat was fresh and perfectly fried. Everything was delicious (even the gastro spaetzle. However, that would be a wish of mine: I would rather make it myself. Thank you!) Perfect value for money.

Very tasty food. Good portions. Nice selection of dishes. The side salad was simply great and incredibly tasty. Colorfully mixed with radish, cabbage, carrots and of course potato salad. Perfectly coordinated dressing. Truly Swabian, as it should be. The onion roast was fried to a perfect medium rare. Delicious beer, friendly service. There is your own bottled wine to take away at a top price-performance ratio. In terms of the ambience, time has stood still a bit - we love it. Go while something like this still exists. We'll be happy to come back when we're back in the area. There's still a lot to try. Next time it's the venison goulash. Update: Went there with 12 people for my grandma's birthday. Reserved 2 months in advance. We were provided with drinks very quickly and the waitress wanted to take the food. Not everyone was ready yet, but the waitress urged us to order because there was a bus group on the terrace and as soon as they order, nothing will work for us. i.e. They wanted to serve us breakfast first and then devote themselves to the terrace. Also, when ordering the food, they said that it might not all be served together because there was so much going on. I think it's a shame to communicate with the guest like that. We were there for a birthday dinner and chose this restaurant because of the good cuisine and of course wanted to enjoy a nice day for the occasion. Especially since we had reserved far in advance. If they had told us when we made the reservation by phone that it would not be possible to serve all the food at once if there were many guests, we would have chosen a different restaurant. In the end everything came relatively at the same time (~ 5 min) We just didn't think the style was appropriate when ordering because it made you feel like second class. That's not nice on your birthday. Unfortunately, we didn't get a second drink because the waitresses had a lot to do with the large group and didn't come to us. All in all, the food is delicious and they have a nice selection on the menu. However, we would recommend that you come in smaller groups or just two people.

The best home-style restaurant far and wide...great family business, the lunch menu is super organized for pick-up...call and order, choose a large or small portion, even with reusable boxes for a fee of 5.00 euros, which you get back when you return it. Environmental protection says THANK YOU...I am completely satisfied and thank you very much, dear 👑 TEAM ...Of course, a normal visit to the restaurant during all other opening times is also highly recommended...Reservation required Quality gets around...I'd be happy to just write down some praise...

Authentic, excellent quality regional cuisine! Prices are totally fair and anyone who appreciates good Swabian cuisine will go home 100% satisfied and full. Sauerbraten, roast beef and potato salad are particularly recommended.

An inn of the dying breed. Honest, good home cooking. Good portions. Reasonable price. Without a reservation, we barely managed to get a table in the games room (adjoining room where the regulars played cards). Despite being busy and having a bus waiting to be dispatched, the food came quickly and was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. Respect. Vegetarian or even vegan may be a problem, luckily it doesn't concern me. I had sour kidneys and I was overjoyed to finally find them on a menu again and I was even happier that they tasted as they should. :D by the way with spaetzle and not with fried potatoes.... In a review I'll leave: the plates are no longer up to date, um, but they are. They fit the place and are still good old-fashioned workmanship. Why throw it away? Sustainability is on everyone's lips and then a comment like that. Yes, it's clear... apart from the costs for catering tableware.

Stopped for lunch on the return journey from Switzerland. Short distance from the highway and plenty of parking. Food very tasty, as you would expect in a country inn. Prices really reasonable.

Rich menu, excellent quality, delicious soups of the day, quick and attentive service, cozy atmosphere. That's why I come every Saturday.
