Highly recommended. Always good for a trip followed by lunch in the Krone.

Price performance is good. What's positive is that a 0.5L draft beer costs less than €4. Ambiance in the next house so well. What I found bad was that our group of 10 people received very different food. Some were finished long before the others got the last side dishes.

Good home-style food. There are hardly any left in the area. No matter what you choose, it's always very good. I have decades of experience 😉

Open at lunchtime, Swabian cuisine

We chose the Krone based on the many good reviews and were unfortunately disappointed. The service was super friendly and the food was served quickly. Unfortunately, there is more mass here than class. The Maultaschen were ok and the best. The slices came out of the deep fryer and were dry and not particularly tasty. The venison goulash tasted quite bland and the roast pork wasn't tasty either (it tasted like it had been thawed).

It was nice to eat here often and it was always delicious. Great service, absolutely recommended

Swabian rustic. The taste from childhood. All is well with the world here. Despite the full house, the food was on the table quickly. The meat was fresh and perfectly fried. Everything was delicious (even the gastro spaetzle. However, that would be a wish of mine: I would rather make it myself. Thank you!) Perfect value for money.

Friendly service brings what you ordered to the table quickly. I have never been disappointed with the portions or the taste. Always my pleasure!

Our stomachs weren't feeling well after eating. But: Service and staff top: Very accommodating and friendly! Points of criticism: - Duck and schnitzel totally overcooked - Generally everything was presented very carelessly on the plates - In terms of taste, apart from the red cabbage, nothing that blew us away

Very tasty food. Good portions. Nice selection of dishes. The side salad was simply great and incredibly tasty. Colorfully mixed with radish, cabbage, carrots and of course potato salad. Perfectly coordinated dressing. Truly Swabian, as it should be. The onion roast was fried to a perfect medium rare. Delicious beer, friendly service. There is your own bottled wine to take away at a top price-performance ratio. In terms of the ambience, time has stood still a bit - we love it. Go while something like this still exists. We'll be happy to come back when we're back in the area. There's still a lot to try. Next time it's the venison goulash. Update: Went there with 12 people for my grandma's birthday. Reserved 2 months in advance. We were provided with drinks very quickly and the waitress wanted to take the food. Not everyone was ready yet, but the waitress urged us to order because there was a bus group on the terrace and as soon as they order, nothing will work for us. i.e. They wanted to serve us breakfast first and then devote themselves to the terrace. Also, when ordering the food, they said that it might not all be served together because there was so much going on. I think it's a shame to communicate with the guest like that. We were there for a birthday dinner and chose this restaurant because of the good cuisine and of course wanted to enjoy a nice day for the occasion. Especially since we had reserved far in advance. If they had told us when we made the reservation by phone that it would not be possible to serve all the food at once if there were many guests, we would have chosen a different restaurant. In the end everything came relatively at the same time (~ 5 min) We just didn't think the style was appropriate when ordering because it made you feel like second class. That's not nice on your birthday. Unfortunately, we didn't get a second drink because the waitresses had a lot to do with the large group and didn't come to us. All in all, the food is delicious and they have a nice selection on the menu. However, we would recommend that you come in smaller groups or just two people.

The food was good. I liked it because they have small and large portions to choose from. The price is reasonable compared to other Swabian restaurants. There was an available table for seven people without a reservation when we went there.

The best home-style restaurant far and wide...great family business, the lunch menu is super organized for pick-up...call and order, choose a large or small portion, even with reusable boxes for a fee of 5.00 euros, which you get back when you return it. Environmental protection says THANK YOU...I am completely satisfied and thank you very much, dear 👑 TEAM ...Of course, a normal visit to the restaurant during all other opening times is also highly recommended...Reservation required Quality gets around...I'd be happy to just write down some praise...

Authentic, excellent quality regional cuisine! Prices are totally fair and anyone who appreciates good Swabian cuisine will go home 100% satisfied and full. Sauerbraten, roast beef and potato salad are particularly recommended.

Great service, great menu, cozy Ambiance

An inn of the dying breed. Honest, good home cooking. Good portions. Reasonable price. Without a reservation, we barely managed to get a table in the games room (adjoining room where the regulars played cards). Despite being busy and having a bus waiting to be dispatched, the food came quickly and was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. Respect. Vegetarian or even vegan may be a problem, luckily it doesn't concern me. I had sour kidneys and I was overjoyed to finally find them on a menu again and I was even happier that they tasted as they should. :D by the way with spaetzle and not with fried potatoes.... In a review I'll leave: the plates are no longer up to date, um, but they are. They fit the place and are still good old-fashioned workmanship. Why throw it away? Sustainability is on everyone's lips and then a comment like that. Yes, it's clear... apart from the costs for catering tableware.

A nice, friendly family business in Auenstein, which is on the outskirts of Heilbronn. The salad is to die for. Celebrated great big birthdays.

Stopped for lunch on the return journey from Switzerland. Short distance from the highway and plenty of parking. Food very tasty, as you would expect in a country inn. Prices really reasonable.

Rich menu, excellent quality, delicious soups of the day, quick and attentive service, cozy atmosphere. That's why I come every Saturday.

Meat-heavy restaurant with few vegetarian dishes. The cheese spaetzle we ordered were served very quickly, but unfortunately they only tasted mediocre and are therefore not recommended. At least the stay in the beer garden was very pleasant.

It's the only place I know that hasn't been able to offer diabetics a Diet Coke or Zero for decades. When asked, it was said that you could mix Cola into sparkling water and then it would be light... Without words….

Unfortunately I have to say that we were very dissatisfied. It is advertised as being designed for bus tour groups. We were one of two groups and it seemed like the staff were overwhelmed. The room was quite loud, and there was little sense of the “comfortable ambience”. The waitresses tried hard... the food came relatively quickly, but unfortunately it was also appropriate. Roast roast was very well done, cheese spaetzle was dry and tasteless, fried potatoes were more like mush. Okay for the price-performance ratio.

Yesterday we spontaneously decided to make a stopover at the Landgasthof Krone on our return trip. We were warmly welcomed and served. The food was very tasty and fresh. We'd love to come back.

Atmosphere like in a train station waiting hall. Unordered food served. Total chaos. I've been a guest for years, but this was my last visit.

Quickly get off the A 8 near Ilsfeld and have a good and appropriate meal instead of at the rest stop, 1 sausage with bread for 9 euros. The nicer break.

Tolle Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken, alles was ich bisher gegessen habe, war tadellos und gut. Portionen sind mehr als ausreichend von der Größe. Guter Mittagstisch zu sehr günstigen Preisen. Service passt ebenfalls, auch wenn es voll ist (was öfter der Fall ist) immer freundlich und sehr schnell. Das gilt im übrigen auch für den Chef. Es sind genau die bodenständigen, soliden Gaststätten, die immer mehr verschwinden mangels Nachfolge - übrig bleibt Sterne-Küche und Imbiss-Buden. Hoffen wir, daß die Krone noch sehr lange existiert. Verdient hat sie es ganz sicher.

Stopped spontaneously while passing through. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we were seated in a friendly manner without any complaints and were served very quickly. The food came after a short wait and was very delicious, real home cooking and very tasty. It's great that country inns like this still exist with very good traditional cuisine. We were looking for a country inn on the way back from a trip and came across the "Krone" by chance. The location and ambience correspond perfectly. The food, service and price/performance ratio are perfect, we felt very comfortable and at home and will certainly not look for or try any alternatives on our next trip. If you want to eat real Swabian food, the Krone is the right place for you. Here you can also find tripe or Gaisburger March. Unfortunately, very loud when there are good visitors.

I ate there for the first time today and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very tasty, I ate everything down to the last crumb. I will definitely come back, and the outdated furnishings don't really bother me.

wir waren zum Mittagessen( Uhrzeit 14 Uhr) mit sieben Personen und waren entäuscht über den Service !!! Wir hatten Plätze bestellt und standen zwischen Gastraum und Saal und niemand hat sich um uns gekümmert. Küche ist bekanntermaßen sehr gut aber der Service war eine einzige Katastrophe. wir haben eine Stunde und zwanzig Minuten gewartet bis das erste Essen kam und dann kam es auch nur immer im Abstand von fünf Minuten !!!!! Der erste hatte schon gegessen bis der letzte sein Essen bekam. Wir waren schon öfters da aber so etwas ist noch nie vorgekommen und wir werden zukünftig mal von weiteren Besuchen Abstand Nehmen. Fazit:: So nicht empfehlenswert zumal wir auch Hunrige Kinder dabei hatten !!!!!!!!!

Wir hatten schon geplant, an der Autobahn zu Abend zu essen - aber es sollte etwas Tolles sein. Und dieser Ort hat unsere Erwartungen voll und ganz erfüllt. Nicht viel teurer, aber in netter Atmosphäre, große Portionen und ziemlich schnell serviert. Es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir auf dem Rückweg von unserem Urlaub gleich noch einmal hier eingekehrt sind. Beide Male hatten wir reserviert und das war auch gut so. Am Sonntag (nach einem langen Wochenende) war sehr viel los, aber dementsprechend war auch Personal in der Küche und zum Bedienen da, so dass es trotzdem schnell ging.

Good home cooking with a wide selection, very tasty

When you enter the guest room, you are greeted by the charm of an 80s inn. As if time had stopped here. This also applies to the food, which, in contrast to the interior design, is absolutely positive. It's like "eating at Grandma's". Simply delicious! Venison goulash with spaetzle & salad. Tender meat, good spaetzle and fresh, delicious mixed salad with good dressing. The chicken schnitzel was also delicious, as was the sauerbraten with dumplings. This is how I imagine my birthday meal. Kudos to the chef. However, I was only able to give a minimum of stars for the service, which was definitely NOT due to the very competent and friendly service, but rather to the fact that the innkeeper sat down with a guest behind my back and was clearly audible to my companion about my fullness " spoke. An absolute no go! That marred this birthday event considerably. ■If we exclude this unpleasant situation, it would have been a good "eating out".■ Over the years we have been guests there on excursions with various groups, clubs and families, which I regret will change in the future. Because if you, as a guest, have to listen to people gossiping about you behind your back, then you can't expect that from your friends or relatives. All in all, it can be summarized as follows: Food very good, Service very good, Ambience okay Parking spaces very good Price / offer: Very good (Only if you have a genetic defect, a handicap or something similar and don't want someone to ruin your mood on your birthday: go somewhere else. Sorry not sorry! That's not possible.)

We pre-ordered food and then picked it up. Unfortunately there is only one vegetarian dish, but the Camembert with cranberries tasted really good!!! You can never get such good quality from the supermarket and it cannot be compared. And it was really nice that toast and some (or a small piece) of butter were added. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the non-vegetarian dishes, but I hope or wish that vegan dishes will be offered on the menu at some point for vegans. I think they also prepare cheese spaetzle upon request. Gladly again and 5* for this great dish.
