Good country inn, but nothing more. Extensive menu and snack menu. Taste good, but not very good. The rump steak was ok, but slightly tough. The side vegetables were lots of carrot with some broccoli and some cauliflower, lightly salted. The side salad was simple and good. Unfortunately, the raspberries in the “vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries” were already in the sundae and cold. The vanilla ice cream in the affogato had already melted. All in all: Good for a country inn and ok for the price, with a great view over the vineyards. Nothing more, but nothing less either.

I didn't even know that there was such a nice restaurant behind Durbach, I can only recommend the fantastic view that I'm talking about

This was a spur of the moment decidion to come here. And it was also recommended by Frau Laible. Excellent local fayre at reasonable prices, good wine and beer. I had the Rehgulasch (I love game!), the others had the Schlachtplatte (massive portion! Very good!), Rumpsteak, and Schnitzel. Everything cooked well, served quickly. The views from the restaurant are stunning. Need to get back on a sunny day, when you can sit outside! Cannot fault this place!

We had sauerbraten and schnitzel. The food was well prepared and not exactly small and also very tasty. The service was very nice and courteous. The view of the vineyards is beautiful. If you want to enjoy a beautiful view and good food, you should sit down.

We celebrated our wedding at the location and everything was perfect from the start. Many thanks to the entire team.

We must have had a bad day 🙄because the food was mediocre and the meat was tough 🙄we expected a little more for these prices. The service was a bit overzealous and you couldn't eat in peace. We couldn't see anything of the area from our seat, although we asked if we could get a seat outside and were refused and given to guests who hadn't even made a reservation. 🙄 Update... Thank you for the answer, There was actually still something free. We let the meat go back and told the service that it was so tough that you could hardly cut it, but no replacement came. Nevertheless, it was a nice journey through time for me because I visited you regularly as a child from Hesselbach. About 50 years ago. We expected a lot, but were a little disappointed. We had made a reservation and when we asked if we would get a place outside, we were told no. Guests had arrived before us who had not made reservations and were seated at a table for four outside. We, who had reserved, then had to eat inside. The food was average and could be better for the price. Focus more on class instead of quantity. An ashtray could be placed outside so that smokers don't have to throw their butts down the drain.

Great hiking destination between the vineyards near Durbach, with a short break, something to drink and some refreshment with the friendly service. The country inn is also easy to reach by car. Price performance etc. ok.

It's okay that you have to wait in the anteroom and ring a bell so that someone comes and assigns your seat. Only if after 15 minutes and 3 rings of the bell no one comes even though the staff is chatting and there are still many tables available... Then we ate somewhere else. Very conventional cuisine at a fairly high price level. The setting, however, is bucolic. Large parking lot and many possible hikes.

I never actually write a review, but I'll do it once to draw the attention of others. Went there for dinner today with our two small children. Beautiful view upon arrival. It was very busy and our table was indicated with a hand gesture by a very grumpy lady. Once there, we understood the nervousness, because it was very busy and noisy. Our own children started to become part of it, but they couldn't cut through the noise. The food was quite tasty, but not very special. We only then discovered that we had had to walk along a rope at the start and report via the side entrance. That's probably why we were received so inhospitably. The lady remained very irritated while serving and even sighed when we did not immediately understand an answer to a question (she only spoke German). I asked for a coke with ice and lemon, but unfortunately only received a lukewarm coke. Unfortunately, our children had nowhere to play. We wanted to order some more ice cream. We were given the card, but after fifteen minutes of waiting with our card closed, we were still not asked anything. Our children couldn't tolerate the crowds much longer, so we went to pay. When paying we discovered that you could not pay by card. (ATM machine not exactly around the corner either) luckily we didn't have dessert so we had just enough with us. The toilet was not only very dirty, but also insufficient, there was no toilet paper in any toilet. I was very disappointed in the evening, that doesn't happen often to me.

Restaurant with good home cooking and a great view. We wanted to eat sauerbraten with our foreign guests, but unfortunately it was out, even though we had called beforehand. The menu offers many Baden specialties, including smaller portions to try. You often had to wait for service, but it was also busy. In general we enjoyed the visit and would come back.

The sauerbraten was delicious. Half chickens now obviously come out of the deep fryer, the oven just takes longer, but I liked it better. Everything stays within reasonable price. When I asked whether the goulash soup was homemade, the waitress said yes. Unfortunately the soup isn't. The chopped meat and the typical taste were strongly reminiscent of the canned product from the Unox brand. No problem, you just have to stand by it.

This evening of 07/08/2024, we just left because we came across an elderly waitress who literally scared us away because of her particularly rude and not at all respectful welcome. I don't know if she didn't like us but she spoke to us very loudly and not kindly. This kind of person should not be in the department and I think management needs to know. Too bad it’s a place we used to go often.

The location is awesome with a view of the vineyards! We had Maultaschen with salad, the salad was totally fresh, juicy, delicious, we found the Maultaschen delicious, but unfortunately there was very little fried onion on it, so they could have been a little more generous. However, the fact that you can't pay with a card these days is an absolute no-go.

You should wait “to be seated”. That's OK. Only nobody came. We ventured forward and explained the process apologetically. In the end we felt like a nuisance customer and were seated. Beautifully located inn in the vineyards with a beautiful terrace. But there is still a lot of work to be done on the operation!!! At 4:00 p.m. - you first have to ring the bell to be picked up, then apparently every table is reserved, but during the time we were there, not a table was occupied by the guests who had reserved. So there was a lot free!!!! The food was quite ok and sufficient, reasonably priced.

The location is beautiful. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. The Kässpätzli were more like noodles with cheese. The wine was delicious and the staff was very friendly.

The view in the beer garden is simply a dream. We were there on Sunday and there was only a reduced menu, which was completely understandable and fine for us. We chose schnitzel, the portion size was good, the Jägerschnitzel could have had a few more mushrooms, but everything tasted good.

It's fine for a short rest. However, definitely not recommended for a larger celebration. Dinner was scheduled for 6 p.m., we had rented the entire restaurant and had sales well above the minimum, but the food arrived over 2.5 hours late. No wonder you can't keep up with cooking if you leave it open until shortly before the company arrives. Although it was supposedly closed earlier. The organization of the entire process leaves a lot to be desired, everything was clearly arranged in advance and “no problem”. Some guests left early because nothing was right. This was very disappointing for a wedding celebration. The celebration took place in 2023, there is no misunderstanding here! We wanted to clarify it over the phone, but there was no insight. We have drawn our conclusions from it.

The food was good - the dessert was too expensive, too small and then we didn't get what we wanted - hot raspberries meant hot raspberries and a scoop of ice cream with cold raspberries and a non-stiff cream for over 6 euros WON'T WORK AT ALL

Very warm welcome, meals, in the vineyards. The best! But it is better to book.

Today: Maultaschen very good, fried onions poor, should have had more Swabian character. Käsespätzle were extremely dry, good mountain cheese and a lot more fried onions would have been appropriate. Half the chicken had been fried several times and was therefore very dry and shriveled up. The fries were hard and probably warmed up in the microwave. Salads very good, as well as the draft wine. Excellent service staff. Fresher quality could be possible for the price level.

The inn has a great view and a large parking lot where mobile homes can also park. It also tastes very good and the atmosphere is very pleasant.

We ate at the inn with a larger group of around 25 people. The catering wanted us to all receive just one collective bill in CASH!!!! pay. I.e. the good lady expects someone to carry 700 euros in cash with them and then settle this internally with the group?? Are you serious??I've never experienced anything like that. The waitress puts glasses on the table and says in all seriousness that I should distribute the drinks... exactly my sense of humor! Bet 6!!! the spaetzle tastes like nothing, groups are not welcome, the customer is “king” (irony). Once and never again! Outrageous!

Unfortunately my visit was at the Hummelswälder Hof country inn Consistently disappointing, which is mainly due to the unprofessional behavior of the landlady. During our stay we experienced treatment that was both rude and condescending. I find this kind of way of taking out one's own stress on the customer to be absolutely unacceptable. This created a very unpleasant atmosphere, which significantly detracted from the entire experience. Furthermore, the quality of the food did not meet our expectations, which further contributed to the overall dissatisfaction. I will not consider another visit. I hope that management takes this feedback seriously and makes necessary improvements in service to provide a better experience for future guests.

Was here for the first time yesterday. The view is great, the rest is so-so We were handed the menus but we weren't asked if we wanted something to drink. Only when we put the cards aside did the waitress come and take the order. The food was ok I had ordered rump steak medium but it was almost done. My companion had sauerbraten which was good. The only drawback was the noodles were served carelessly on a cake plate. I don't know that. It's a shame and if you would like to drink something else you weren't asked, which is actually part of the service .I'd like to come to your inn again and then take a look

We drove past the restaurant on Sunday without a reservation and were lucky. There was still a free table in the parlor. Really great location and a pleasant atmosphere. Very nice staff and the menu hit the mark for us. The food was excellent, with sufficient taste and quantity. It was our first time there, but definitely not the last time.

There were four of us, two of whom were here for the first time. Simple and rustic interior design, very nice terrace with a view of the Durbach vineyards. Reservations are usually required! But why? The few dishes are simple in description and quite high in price. We had 3x sauerbraten with pasta and salad for €18.50… It was a good piece of roast beef, pre-cooked, cooled and then cut into 1/2 inch slices. They were all the same size and everyone got two slices. Plus a simple leaf salad with some white cabbage and carrot slices. The noodles were tasteless out of the package, the sauce was also pure convenience, a ready-made product from a can. It wasn't enough to fill us up, someone had ordered fries, which were frozen and so fried that they couldn't be skewered. There were definitely new ones that were a little better. The fourth guest had Schäufele with bread and also the same salad. The meat seemed undercooked, tasteless and very dry…. I had Pinot Noir mild…1/4 l €5.80. A liter bottle of this usually costs around €6-7… No reason to come here again for such bland ready-made food...

Our absolute favorite restaurant in Badner Land. Regional, authentic and incredibly tasty. We can only recommend our own wines and all dishes. We always enjoy coming here.

Very nice excursion restaurant, nice to linger. Nowhere was it written or stated beforehand that card payments were not possible. Unfortunately, the cheese spaetzle is dry and has no real taste, but the schnitzel was good.

I found the location to be wonderful, you have to enjoy it when the weather is nice and there is an open terrace. We had steak and Maultaschen, unfortunately the vegetarian Maultaschen were not available - I then switched to the normal ones. Wasn't anything special. The steak was ordered medium and then came almost raw, after being told that it was not edible. There was a loud discussion between the waitress and the chef (not professional). We got a new steak. It was tasty and in protest of the chef it was completely and properly cooked. - Service was very nice -

Good food, very nice service. Unfortunately, no card payment (not even a debit card) is a no-go in 2024. Yes, you can then receive an invoice to transfer, but it is still sub-optimal for the customer.

Fast service, delicious food and a great view. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right. There are delicious fruit brandies to try and buy in the farm shop. No card payment.

Was there with friends from the spa for a farewell dinner. We had a very nice evening here with very good service and a very tasty meal. It's a shame it's so far away from home.

Really great inn with sooo delicious home-style food! The price here is really cheap for this delicious food! Tastes great! We will come back often to their great atmosphere. The newly built entrance area with sales area/farm shop of pasta, dips, wine, horseradish, decorations and much more. In addition, a new guest room was built in an old vaulted cellar, which turned out beautifully! Great ambience in the large hall, which used to be open-air. This has been roofed over for a few years and a fireplace has been installed. In winter the hall is closed, in summer all glazing is open for a beer garden feeling. Wonderfully done :-) This restaurant is not only a popular destination for hikers, but also for families, young and old, everyone will find what they are looking for in the great selection of dishes.

Waren gestern da Essen, einfach der Hammer. Da bekommt man noch zu den Gerichten den Salat dazu, zum Preis was in anderen Gaststätten ohne Salat berechnet wird.

Tolles Restaurant!!! So oft schon dort gegessen und was war immer alles sehr lecker und frisch. Preis Leistungsverhältnis super. Würde aufjedenfall vorher einen Tisch reservieren, ist immer gut besucht dort. Hunde sind willkommen. Top!!!

Der Anlass war zwar sehr traurig, denn wir sind als Trauergemeinschaft dort zum Essen gewesen.....aber es stimmte alles: gutes Essen, sehr freundliches Personal und die Lage spricht natürlich für sich. Es war bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal, dass ich dort war!
