I am a regular here, even if you have to wait a little longer, the food is very good 👍👍

My last visit to Rebstock was unfortunately very disappointing. The ambiance is more reminiscent of a village pub. No decor, very bad air, and no attention to detail. You don't get a very warm welcome. The food was OK, but here I was shocked by the presentation of the dishes. Everything was very poorly prepared. Even in a cafeteria, more emphasis is placed on presentation. In a restaurant like Rebstock claims to be, I definitely expect more. The bread had probably been cut long ago, as it was a bit dry. There was only olive oil and no butter. The fries with the beef fillet were swimming in the sauce, so they were completely soggy by the time the plate arrived at the table. The vegetables were rather hard rather than firm and completely unseasoned. The stroganoff, the spaetzle, was completely overcooked, and the meat portion was very meager and sometimes tough. Our waitress was nice, but I felt there was a lack of hospitality, and nothing was done to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Conclusion: The Rebstock is anything but an upscale restaurant. It's absolutely standard fare, with the decor and service rather below average. The prices are absolutely overpriced, arrogant, and don't do justice to the quality and taste of the food. Of course, we should have said something, but we had to wait almost an hour for our main course, and after seeing how other guests who had also waited a long time were treated, we wanted to leave as quickly as possible. So, if you like standard fare, poor service, and exorbitant prices, the Rebstock is the perfect place for you. I can get better quality at home in Zurich for the same price (total bill: €340) and don't have to get ripped off at the Rebstock.

We celebrated my mother's 75th birthday today at Rebstock Haltingen – unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The lamb's lettuce for €16 was tiny, and the croutons weren't homemade. The food arrived after over an hour and a half, the sauce was sparse, and the spaetzle didn't seem fresh. When I asked when we could expect the food, as my 9-year-old nephew was hungry, I was rudely dismissed: "Then you should have ordered for the child first." We're in the south of Germany, but not anywhere else in Southern Europe, and we enjoy eating together as a family. A dessert for my nephew as an apology – for us adults: nothing, no apology. Average taste, vegetables unseasoned, service without a smile. Once a restaurant with a good reputation, now disappointing. We didn't leave hungry, but we wouldn't recommend it to anyone. €340 for 6 people and no wow factor, quite the opposite. No photos, just disappointing. Word of mouth…

We were here for our wedding and were absolutely thrilled! The food was excellent, fresh, and lovingly prepared. The staff was warm, attentive, and always on hand, without being intrusive. The entire service was absolutely seamless and professional. We felt like we and our guests were in excellent hands – thank you so much! We highly recommend it.

We were dining at a restaurant with a group of friends and were sadly shocked by one experience. At the next table, there was a group of older guests, and a waiter remarked that he was glad that a planned wedding dinner between two men had been canceled because he couldn't bear to see such a thing and found it "disgusting." Such statements are absolutely disrespectful and hurtful to us. We believe that a restaurant should be a place where everyone is welcome and treated equally, regardless of who they love or how they live their lives. This made us feel very uncomfortable and we will not be returning. I recommend that anyone who values ​​equality and respectful interaction should carefully consider whether they want to support this restaurant.

Friendly staff, but unfortunately, there was a long wait around 8 p.m. Prices are also a bit steep and definitely aimed at a Swiss clientele. The food is very good and highly recommended.

After a lovely evening stroll, we wanted to enjoy a chilled drink or two in the lovely beer garden near Rebstock. After about 15 minutes, a young man came by with a menu and greeted us. After we pointed out that we'd just like a drink, he said that was possible and left the drinks menu. Meanwhile, the guests at the neighboring table left the beer garden without having eaten or drunk anything. After another 10 minutes, we left too. No drink(s), and that on such a wonderful evening. So, all that remains to be said is that they still exist – people who don't feel the need to treat all guests equally.

I was just in the beer garden with my husband for a drink. After a quarter of an hour, a staff member actually came and gave us a drink menu. After another 10 minutes, without anyone attending to our request, we left the beer garden. Meanwhile, another couple also left without being served! It's very likely that guests who also eat are given priority! But whatever – maybe the waiter was having a bad day, maybe it was the high temperatures, maybe it was just a coincidence – but service isn't the top priority.

Nice overnight hotel. Clean and tidy. The restaurant was a bit pricey but the food was tasty and of good quality!

We were passing through and spontaneously decided to eat there. We were able to bring our dog into the beautiful beer garden without any problems. He was greeted with treats, and the waitress was absolutely in love. 😁 The food was excellent, albeit not cheap. Decent portions, upscale ambiance. A truly great restaurant.

The food was outstanding! You get something for your money because this is fine dining! The service was courteous and extremely friendly. A nice, manageable menu which is always a good sign and you could really taste the fat of the nuts in the pistachio panacotta. We were there for the first time yesterday, the food is delicious but the portion is really small, I had a schnitzel with fries, for 33 euros there were 2 small and very thin schnitzels and a really small portion of fries, the apple juice cost just under 10 euros, the nüssli salad cost 16 euros, that's just unrelated, don't get me wrong, we're happy to pay a little more, but we expect something in return :) There are much better inns with much larger portions for significantly less Money:)

A very charming property. The rooms were beautiful; we stayed on the 2nd floor of the annex building. Since it was the attic floor, I recommend taller guests be cautious when booking this room. Free parking and breakfast were included. Breakfast featured a variety of cheeses, cold cuts, boiled eggs, and bread. The staff were friendly and communicative. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

It was once a fine country inn and thrived on rural ambience and rural hospitality. Unfortunately, the hospitality has been somewhat lost.

Seit vielen Jahren besuchen wir mit der Familie oder mit Freunden das Restaurant Rebstock und können es sehr weiterempfehlen. Das Gebäude ist sehr schön, und auch drinnen ist es behaglich und gemütlich. Parkplätze sind vorhanden. Die Bedienung ist äusserst freundlich und zuvorkommend, geht auf die Wünsche der Gäste ein und ist sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen ist köstlich, gleichgültig, ob es ein Schlemmermenue, ein herzhaftes Gericht oder eine vegetarische Speise ist. Alles wird mit frischen Zutaten zubereitet. Die Speisekarte ist abwechslungsreich. Im Sommer hat man die Möglichkeit, wunderschön draussen zu essen.

I had dinner there with my family on Sunday. We were absolutely satisfied, the food was very, very good, you can notice the freshness of the products. The game that is currently on offer was also absolutely top class. I was surprised by the friendliness, especially towards the children. Köstlicher Rehrücken, wie gewünscht rosa gebraten mit kreativem Maronen-Weintrauben-Rotkraut und Birne , letztere bissfest mit Preisselbeere, und unbeschreiblich guter Soße! Und ein ungewöhnlicher Nachtisch aus Honig-Kürbiskuchen mit Walnusseis, einzigartig, dazu sehr zugewandte, nicht aufdringliche Bedienung. Auch das Kalbsgeschnetzelte war sehr gut! Angenehm, dass es keine musikalische Beschallung gab, die Kommunikation am Tisch damit leichter viel. Gern hätte wir einen kleinen "Gruß aus der Küche" gehabt, um die Zeit der frischen Zubereitung zu überbrücken. Die Weinempfehlung passte uns gut. Ein genussvoller Abend in stilistisch sicherem Ambiente.

We celebrated our son's baptism here and are more than satisfied. The food is incredibly tasty, the staff is really very friendly. Grandma's allergies were also taken into account and a suitable menu was put together. There is a special children's menu for the little guests, which is really cute. There was something for everyone in the family (children, vegetarians, meat lovers, allergy sufferers) and everyone enjoyed it very much! Overall, simply top and absolutely recommended!

The hotel is situated only a couple of minutes from the A5 to Switzerland and the Swiss border. It lies in the middle of a quiet residential area. The rooms in the main building are spacious and clean. You can enjoy your diner inside or outside on the terrace. Quality is good. Personnel is more than friendly. A recommendable hotel if you’re looking for an overnight stay.

Very polite and nice friendly staff. Had to do something. Use the restaurant for a break. Ordered a mixed salad and a spec. I got bread slices and delicious goat cream cheese with the salad. I am happy to give 100 points for the good food and am happy to recommend it to others.

Large spacious room. Clean and fresh. Restaurant with typical German menu. Relatively high price level for food. The rooms are reasonably priced, but they charged €15 extra per dog. Nice beer garden in the courtyard. Responsive. Nice staff.

Now for the second time staying here on our way to Italy, the food is not cheap but of good quality, the rooms are neat and everything very clean, highly recommended.

Das Restaurant ist sehr ansprechend und tip-top sauber. Der Service und das Essen gut aber entschieden zu teuer. Hauptgericht zu 33 Euro ist ohne Salat. Ein Glas Wein ab 9 Euro. Sehr gut und verhaltnismäßig günstig ist der hiesige Sekt. Trotzdem würde ich wiederkommen, da das Haus wunderschön ist und direkt an der Schweizer Grenze liegt, also für eine Zwischenübernachtung ideal ist.

This was the second time we stayed at the Hotel Rebstock and we were always 100% satisfied. All of our wishes could be fulfilled. The room is stylishly and lovingly furnished. Very clean! We feel very comfortable. The breakfast is great. The staff were very polite and courteous and incredibly helpful.

Quiet stay, environment a little dry and due to the carpet a little dusty. We were at the hotel for 1 day with our baby, and we were surprised that they didn't have a microwave to heat the baby's food, and we also didn't find a kettle to heat the water. These are basic items that you could keep in your room.

Food was good but for a change instead of champion in the cream sauce chanterelles the few chanterelles cost 6 euros more sorry that was and is unfortunately too much,

Nettes Restaurant mit sehr freundlichem Service. Nur deshalb 4 Sterne - die Leistung der Küche rechtfertigt nicht mehr als 3. Der Spargelsalat war gut, beim Bœuf Stroganoff war die Fleischqualität in Ordnung, aber es fehlte jegliche Raffinesse - der Geschmack war „flach“ - und beim Dessert Sauerkirsch-Cheesecake im Glas mit Krokantstreuseln, das ebenfalls keine Offenbarung war, fanden sich zwei (!!) klägliche Streusel. Wir waren vor Jahren häufiger hier, aber es scheint einen Besitzer- oder zumindest Küchenchefwechsel gegeben zu haben, der dem Restaurant nicht gut bekommen ist.

My wife and I have been coming to the Rebstock for many years and always look forward to the delicious food, the friendly service and the quiet nights in cozy rooms. The church tower clock is also part of the typical ambience ;-) Cheers to this pearl of the Markgräfler Land!

I was really very disappointed :( You can notice the change in ownership everywhere. I was in the Rebstock again with my mother, our family has already held golden weddings, birthdays and other celebrations here. The reputation of the Rebstock has always been a sensation. Today hmmmm 20 minutes wait until a waiter came. Another 15 minutes wait until the drinks and the menu were at the table. Ordered food and received it a whopping 45 minutes later. Liver almost raw :( . Nothing happened the whole time Whether you want something to drink or whether it tastes good. No questions asked, then sit in front of the plates for another 20 minutes until they are cleared away. I'm happy to pay good money if it fits, but nothing fits here anymore. Sad but true It's a shame that such a traditional house is going down the drain like this.

Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut. Leider hatten einige der Leberstücke noch Drüsenstücke drinnen und waren dadurch nicht zart. Die Rösti war super. Empfehlenswert ist auch die Grandmarnier Parfait. Ganz schön war, dass unsere Hundedame ein Snackstengel für nachher bekommen hatte.

Spontaneously went to the Rebstock last night. Extremely friendly and courteous service. Nice warm atmosphere and the best Cordon Bleu I've eaten in a long time. Keep it up.

When the waitress pointed out that something must have gone wrong when pouring the wine into the carafe given the large amount of tartar (sentence), the waiter replied without any apology that it was just tartar, which was normal for this wine and not poisonous. Doesn't work at all (actually only 1 star, the 2nd star because of the female waiter). Have you ever heard of decanting? But apparently this is part of the shortage of skilled workers that Nan no longer has any idea how to deal with older wine. We used to eat at the Rebstock quite often (under the former landlord). The food yesterday was ok, but the visit as a whole is no longer comparable to before. In any case, this was the last time we were here.

We had reservations for New Year's Eve. We were willing to pay a little more on New Year's Eve, but were disappointed with the food. The menu costs €79 - the bottom slice of roast beef shouldn't be gray and tough. The top slice was great in each case (The homemade Béarnaise was great). The white lava cake was not runny and nothing else special. Soup was good, sorbet was OK. In this price segment we would have expected that the plates and empty bottles would be cleared away before every course and that we would not be charged under complete stress. All in all, we had a nice evening - but we didn't think the price was appropriate for the quality of the food.

Ich habe leider nicht den Weg in Ihr Restaurant geschafft. Am Telefon unfreundlich und patzig. Zitat: Wir haben für ihre spezielle Anfrage keine Zeit, wir arbeiten. Deshalb kam es zu keiner Reservierung. Ende 2022 hatten wir in Ihrem Haus ein tolles Menue mit begleitenden Weinen von Dirk Brenneisen. Ein tolles Erlebnis. Sie haben es leider nicht nötig heute mit Kunden zu reden. Sie müssen es wirklich DICKE haben. Habe gerade in Binzen beim Ochsen ein Tisch reserviert. Sie sollten dort einmal anrufen und sich durch den Service ein Beispiel nehmen. Ihr Haus für mich: Never ever.

Wir waren drei Tage zu Gast im Rebstöckle das Service Personal ist dem Gast sehr zugewandt und herzlich das Essen ist ausgesprochen lecker wenn auch sehr hochpreisig aber es gibt ja zum Glück noch andere Lokale Beim Frühstück würde ich nur die Brötchen beanstanden die passen nicht zum selbst auferlegten Niveau Wir waren in Zimmer 4 untergebracht es hat eine sehr gute Größe mit einer Nische in der ein Sofa zum relaxen einlädt Leider ist das Zimmer sehr hellhörig wenn im Nachbarzimmer geduscht wird rauscht einem das Wasser ( gefühlt) direkt ins Bett Das größte Manko ist allerdings dass sich die Kochgerüche ungehindert im Haus und im Zimmer ausbreiten das ist wirklich schade und hält mich von einer weiteren Buchung ab

Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und der Teppichboden hat uns überhaupt nicht gefallen. Das Frühstück war ok. Die Gegend ist traumhaft.
