Unfortunately, since the change of ownership, things are no longer so good. Prices are sometimes excessive. Salad was served together with main course, and some more. Too bad. We won't be coming back any time soon.

Köstlicher Rehrücken, wie gewünscht rosa gebraten mit kreativem Maronen-Weintrauben-Rotkraut und Birne , letztere bissfest mit Preisselbeere, und unbeschreiblich guter Soße! Und ein ungewöhnlicher Nachtisch aus Honig-Kürbiskuchen mit Walnusseis, einzigartig, dazu sehr zugewandte, nicht aufdringliche Bedienung. Auch das Kalbsgeschnetzelte war sehr gut! Angenehm, dass es keine musikalische Beschallung gab, die Kommunikation am Tisch damit leichter viel. Gern hätte wir einen kleinen "Gruß aus der Küche" gehabt, um die Zeit der frischen Zubereitung zu überbrücken. Die Weinempfehlung passte uns gut. Ein genussvoller Abend in stilistisch sicherem Ambiente.

I had dinner there with my family on Sunday. We were absolutely satisfied, the food was very, very good, you can notice the freshness of the products. The game that is currently on offer was also absolutely top class. I was surprised by the friendliness, especially towards the children. I can only recommend the inn and would happily eat there again. Thanks and keep it up.

We celebrated our son's baptism here and are more than satisfied. The food is incredibly tasty, the staff is really very friendly. Grandma's allergies were also taken into account and a suitable menu was put together. There is a special children's menu for the little guests, which is really cute. There was something for everyone in the family (children, vegetarians, meat lovers, allergy sufferers) and everyone enjoyed it very much! Overall, simply top and absolutely recommended!

The hotel is situated only a couple of minutes from the A5 to Switzerland and the Swiss border. It lies in the middle of a quiet residential area. The rooms in the main building are spacious and clean. You can enjoy your diner inside or outside on the terrace. Quality is good. Personnel is more than friendly. A recommendable hotel if you’re looking for an overnight stay.

Friendly hosts. The main course of wild boar was unfortunately too dry. Overall too expensive for what you get.

Very polite and nice friendly staff. Had to do something. Use the restaurant for a break. Ordered a mixed salad and a spec. I got bread slices and delicious goat cream cheese with the salad. I am happy to give 100 points for the good food and am happy to recommend it to others.

Large spacious room. Clean and fresh. Restaurant with typical German menu. Relatively high price level for food. The rooms are reasonably priced, but they charged €15 extra per dog. Nice beer garden in the courtyard. Responsive. Nice staff.

Ate here recently. It was very tasty for everyone and we were more than satisfied. Service was very friendly, came to the table regularly. Portions are generous. Happy to come back! :)

Very good food, friendly service, nice restaurant.

Now for the second time staying here on our way to Italy, the food is not cheap but of good quality, the rooms are neat and everything very clean, highly recommended.

Das Restaurant ist sehr ansprechend und tip-top sauber. Der Service und das Essen gut aber entschieden zu teuer. Hauptgericht zu 33 Euro ist ohne Salat. Ein Glas Wein ab 9 Euro. Sehr gut und verhaltnismäßig günstig ist der hiesige Sekt. Trotzdem würde ich wiederkommen, da das Haus wunderschön ist und direkt an der Schweizer Grenze liegt, also für eine Zwischenübernachtung ideal ist.

Crazy expensive restaurant. They look very fancy, but that's not the case. The waiters are far too busy with just the two of them and are running around, making them seem a bit irritated. This restaurant has bizarre prices. We spent more than €90 for 2 beers, a bottle of water and 2 schnitzels (with potato salad)! You can sit in a nice garden for that money...

Unfortunately, service with two people was totally overwhelmed that evening. The food itself, however, was great.

Ebenfalls ist der Service erwähnenswert: auch wenn jeder Tisch besetzt und das Personal arg gefordert war, hatten sie jederzeit ein Lächeln bereit. Herzlichen Dank für den schönen, feinen Abend! The food, to say it in advance, is good/normal, it corresponds to a restaurant meal. However, the prices for everything are grossly exaggerated. A schnitzel with fries: 33 euros Sea bream with completely normal spinach and potatoes: 39 euros Aperol Spritz: 13 euros Beef fillets: from 45 euros The food is good, but the prices are twice as expensive as elsewhere, including in Weil am Rhein, and are by no means justified, because the food is by no means special.

This was the second time we stayed at the Hotel Rebstock and we were always 100% satisfied. All of our wishes could be fulfilled. The room is stylishly and lovingly furnished. Very clean! We feel very comfortable. The breakfast is great. The staff were very polite and courteous and incredibly helpful.

Quiet stay, environment a little dry and due to the carpet a little dusty. We were at the hotel for 1 day with our baby, and we were surprised that they didn't have a microwave to heat the baby's food, and we also didn't find a kettle to heat the water. These are basic items that you could keep in your room.

Food was good but for a change instead of champion in the cream sauce chanterelles the few chanterelles cost 6 euros more sorry that was and is unfortunately too much,

Nettes Restaurant mit sehr freundlichem Service. Nur deshalb 4 Sterne - die Leistung der Küche rechtfertigt nicht mehr als 3. Der Spargelsalat war gut, beim Bœuf Stroganoff war die Fleischqualität in Ordnung, aber es fehlte jegliche Raffinesse - der Geschmack war „flach“ - und beim Dessert Sauerkirsch-Cheesecake im Glas mit Krokantstreuseln, das ebenfalls keine Offenbarung war, fanden sich zwei (!!) klägliche Streusel. Wir waren vor Jahren häufiger hier, aber es scheint einen Besitzer- oder zumindest Küchenchefwechsel gegeben zu haben, der dem Restaurant nicht gut bekommen ist.

My wife and I have been coming to the Rebstock for many years and always look forward to the delicious food, the friendly service and the quiet nights in cozy rooms. The church tower clock is also part of the typical ambience ;-) Cheers to this pearl of the Markgräfler Land!

I was really very disappointed :( You can notice the change in ownership everywhere. I was in the Rebstock again with my mother, our family has already held golden weddings, birthdays and other celebrations here. The reputation of the Rebstock has always been a sensation. Today hmmmm 20 minutes wait until a waiter came. Another 15 minutes wait until the drinks and the menu were at the table. Ordered food and received it a whopping 45 minutes later. Liver almost raw :( . Nothing happened the whole time Whether you want something to drink or whether it tastes good. No questions asked, then sit in front of the plates for another 20 minutes until they are cleared away. I'm happy to pay good money if it fits, but nothing fits here anymore. Sad but true It's a shame that such a traditional house is going down the drain like this.

Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut. Leider hatten einige der Leberstücke noch Drüsenstücke drinnen und waren dadurch nicht zart. Die Rösti war super. Empfehlenswert ist auch die Grandmarnier Parfait. Ganz schön war, dass unsere Hundedame ein Snackstengel für nachher bekommen hatte.

Spontaneously went to the Rebstock last night. Extremely friendly and courteous service. Nice warm atmosphere and the best Cordon Bleu I've eaten in a long time. Keep it up.

When the waitress pointed out that something must have gone wrong when pouring the wine into the carafe given the large amount of tartar (sentence), the waiter replied without any apology that it was just tartar, which was normal for this wine and not poisonous. Doesn't work at all (actually only 1 star, the 2nd star because of the female waiter). Have you ever heard of decanting? But apparently this is part of the shortage of skilled workers that Nan no longer has any idea how to deal with older wine. We used to eat at the Rebstock quite often (under the former landlord). The food yesterday was ok, but the visit as a whole is no longer comparable to before. In any case, this was the last time we were here.

We had reservations for New Year's Eve. We were willing to pay a little more on New Year's Eve, but were disappointed with the food. The menu costs €79 - the bottom slice of roast beef shouldn't be gray and tough. The top slice was great in each case (The homemade Béarnaise was great). The white lava cake was not runny and nothing else special. Soup was good, sorbet was OK. In this price segment we would have expected that the plates and empty bottles would be cleared away before every course and that we would not be charged under complete stress. All in all, we had a nice evening - but we didn't think the price was appropriate for the quality of the food.

Ich habe leider nicht den Weg in Ihr Restaurant geschafft. Am Telefon unfreundlich und patzig. Zitat: Wir haben für ihre spezielle Anfrage keine Zeit, wir arbeiten. Deshalb kam es zu keiner Reservierung. Ende 2022 hatten wir in Ihrem Haus ein tolles Menue mit begleitenden Weinen von Dirk Brenneisen. Ein tolles Erlebnis. Sie haben es leider nicht nötig heute mit Kunden zu reden. Sie müssen es wirklich DICKE haben. Habe gerade in Binzen beim Ochsen ein Tisch reserviert. Sie sollten dort einmal anrufen und sich durch den Service ein Beispiel nehmen. Ihr Haus für mich: Never ever.

Wir waren drei Tage zu Gast im Rebstöckle das Service Personal ist dem Gast sehr zugewandt und herzlich das Essen ist ausgesprochen lecker wenn auch sehr hochpreisig aber es gibt ja zum Glück noch andere Lokale Beim Frühstück würde ich nur die Brötchen beanstanden die passen nicht zum selbst auferlegten Niveau Wir waren in Zimmer 4 untergebracht es hat eine sehr gute Größe mit einer Nische in der ein Sofa zum relaxen einlädt Leider ist das Zimmer sehr hellhörig wenn im Nachbarzimmer geduscht wird rauscht einem das Wasser ( gefühlt) direkt ins Bett Das größte Manko ist allerdings dass sich die Kochgerüche ungehindert im Haus und im Zimmer ausbreiten das ist wirklich schade und hält mich von einer weiteren Buchung ab

Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und der Teppichboden hat uns überhaupt nicht gefallen. Das Frühstück war ok. Die Gegend ist traumhaft.

Hotel is niet zo modern wel zeer goed orde.

Wir wurden freundlich bedient. Das Essen war hervorragend. Die Qualität war sehr gut und die Menge was man für den Preis bekommt ist ausreichend. Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder

Wir waren Mittagessen im Rebstock und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Der Service war einwandfrei und aufmerksam. Das Essen kam gut getimed und die Wartezeit war sehr angemessen. Die Essen (Garnelen, Schnitzel, Filet vom Jungbullen) waren allesamt sehr gut.

Toller Landgasthof. Hier passt alles! Ordentliche und saubere Zimmer, freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal und leckere Speisen. Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden. Ein Hundefreundliches Haus :) Ich kann es nur empfehlen und werde sicherlich wiederkommen. Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir waren hier im Zuge unsere Westweg-Wanderung vier Nächte im Hotel. Das Zimmer war ok, wenngleich die Dusche sehr klein war und auch nicht alle Lampen funktionierten (haben wir aber auch nicht reklamiert). Das Frühstücksbuffet ist nicht besonders umfangreich, die Qualität aber gut. Das Essen im Restaurant ist gut, der Service allerdings überhaupt nicht. Als Hotelgast ist man hier anscheinend nicht sehr willkommen, der Kellner war an zwei von drei Abende recht unfreundlich. Wenn man nicht reserviert hat wird nicht versucht, eine Lösung zu finden oder der Gast gebeten einem Moment zu warten, sondern man bekommt gesagt, man müsse es woanders versuchen! Das geht gar nicht!

Alles sehr angenehm, nettes Ambiente, Speisen lecker, Mitarbeiter freundlich und nett. Business Lunch und Abendkarte.

The food is perhaps good in this restaurant according to the review but we didn't even have the chance to taste it. We went into this restaurant because we live in a nearby hotel where their restaurant was closed. We are not German speaking and we needed some help for the menu. The waiter spoke English but has refused to help us out. In fact I do speak Dutch and could understand most of the menu. I simply could not accept their attitude and we have decided to leave for another restaurant.

Aufmerksamer Service, gute Speisen

Świetne klimatyczne miejsce. Spędziłam tam jedną noc z wykupionym śniadaniem w podróży służbowej. Sielski,spokojny klimat. Malownicze widoki i kojąca cisza sprzyjająca wypoczynkowi. Wystrój jest cudowny, pokoje mają meble z duszą. Zakwaterowanie było bardzo komfortowe, nie było żadnych powodów do narzekań. Przepyszne śniadanie - chrupiące świeże pieczywo, wybór warzyw, wszelkich serów, past, dżemów czy Nutelli. Jestem pod wrażeniem jakości. Bardzo wysoko cenię sobie też jakość obsługi. Wszyscy dbali o nasz komfort :)

Essen und Ambiente kann man sich nicht beschweren. Der Service lässt sich deutlich verbessern. Das Restaurant war gut besucht, das Servicepersonal etwas im Stress. Leider kam keinen auch nur ein kleines Lächeln aus, sxhon während des bedienens. Wir hatten ein Menü bestellt, wo auch ein Nachttisch mit inklusive war. Jedoch war die Küche ab 21 Uhr geschlossen, so kam auf die Frage bezüglich dem Nachttisch, das es zu spät sei. Auf der Rechnung war anschliessend das gesamte Menü berechnet. Auf Nachfragen bzw Reklamation dessen, wurde uns gesagt, das uns der Nachttisch noch gebracht werden kann. Wir lehnten ab, darauf war die Reaktion des Kellners sehr unverschämt, er meckerte laut schimpfen vor sich hin, über uns. Eine Entschuldigung folgte leider nicht. Nach Nachdruck gab uns das Servicepersonal den Preis billiger.

We used to love going to the Rebstock, where the food was delicious and plentiful and the service was professional and friendly. Sadly, a lot has changed in the meantime. The quality of the food has changed much for the worse: we had a waiting time of nearly one hour for a venison cutlet, which arrived dried out and unenjoyable in a nondescript sauce. The croquettes in pear form were of poor qualty, dry on the inside -instead of fluffy - and tough on the outside. The prices are extortionate for what’s offered, €38 for my main and €5.60 for a tiny mixed salad. I will definitely wait until the next owner arrives before going there again, because quality is the only way to keep customers coming.

Two years ago our party of four had lunch here and we were all very disappointed with the food. Just by chance I looked at their web site and saw that they have a new head cook. We decided to give it another chance. Glad we did. What an improvement new personnel have made. I went for the geschnetzeltes calf liver. The order can with a very good mixed green salad. The liver was served with a dark sauce and freshly made spätzli. The liver ranked among the best I have ever eaten. Very tender and still pink in the middle. The sauce, "sauer", had just the right hint of acidity. Spätzli were tender and delicious. An excellent lunch. We sat on the patio and observing other guests dishes it looked like the quality was not a fluke and the new chef has made some desperately needed changes. Rebstock is definitely back on our list.

We had a lunch with my family on Sunday and I don’t understand why is this restaurant so highly rated. The food is average - most corner restaurants serve Rumpsteak with french fries, so does Rebstock. Neither the food, nor the interior were distinctive to justify 35 EUR for a steak that otherwise will cost 18-25! The service was good, but overall experience was just fine, not counting the price. If you want to spend this money and enjoy the experience you will much better off in food, service, and ambience at I Fratelli in Rheinfelden.

Charming family hotel with great restaurant, delicious breakfast and clean rooms. Rooms are cosy with all basic amenities

Visited the hotel for the start of our trip trough the Swiss and France Alps. Rooms booked via internet. Rooms were nice, clean and very important had a air-conditioning, which is very nice to have after a 7 hour ride on the bike in 30C+. We didn't use the dinner. Breakfast cost a 6 Euro extra but certainly value for money. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, bread, fresh orange use etc. excellent. Hotel is highly recommended. It has a parking place, so it is easy to park your bike.

We ordered pike perch with roasted potatoes - mixed salad as a starter was included -accompanied by a glass of Riesling. For dessert, we tried the restaurant's suggestion: rhubarb tart with vanilla ice-cream. The food was fresh, the service was very friendly and the dessert delicious. The prices are adapted to Swiss standards; as a matter of fact, the vast majority of the cars parked had Swiss number plates. The only minor inconvenience was that our table was next to the entrance, we would have appreciated a better table location.

We were here with friends in early January. The restaurant was jam packed and there was one large group of about 25 sitting together. You couldn't hear yourself think. I ordered the Kütteln sauer. Accompanying salad was good. The Rösti were OK but right on the border of being too brown. There was a faint burnt potato taste. The Kütteln were surprisingly mediocre. I've had this dish a number of times here and it has been excellent. This time the sauce was over salted and concentrated. As though they made a quick bit of instant stock and over did it with powder. It was also thickened with cornstarch. Too thick to start with with and a disgusting gluey mess by the time I finished the meal. Also, the four of us were presented with a basket of bread with just four thin slices. No Griebenschmaltz or Gänseschmaltz as usual at this time of year. My wife's fish cake was salty. Take home message: Don't go there when it is likely to be crowded. The kitchen staff was obviously stressed out and the food clearly suffered. Surprisingly the wait staff were calm, friendly and efficient. Kudos to those ladies.

It had been some time since we were last here and went for lunch yesterday, 28.1.2016. We found it is still good value for money. Service is very good and friendly. Tables are well spaced and provide very comfortable seating. I had the tripe (Kutteln sauer) and that was excellent. It was accompanied by a salad and Rösti. The only thing I thought could be improved upon were the Rösti. Instead of being composed of individual batons of potato it was more in the direction of fried mashed potatoes. Good but not what a Swiss would consider proper Rösti. We will definitely keep it on our list of winners.

Went there to have dinner .it was midweek. You have to try the fish carpaccio as an appetizer. Delicious

family run old style, modern kitchen style restaurant (attached you have accommodation for short or mid term stay). Decoration of the dining room is adequate and tasteful. Meal had was excellent and price worthy. Beer garden.

So on my stay at Weil, had a great opportunity to be at Rebstock. Brilliant drive in to serenity. The garden sitting outside is good but since we had a table reserved in we did go in. Brilliant ambience and it is quite obvious that the family runs it close to the heart. Food is top class. We had soup of day with fish starter and it was good. Then for the mains I had salmon with white asparagus. Oh boy, want that great. And for the dessert on the order was ice meringue. Brilliantly done.

We had lunch there on a Thursday and the place was packed (the Swiss Franc is strong against the Euro at the moment). Good thing we had a reservation. Service was friendly, competent and not harried in spite of the crowd. I had a simple Wienerschnitzel which was OK but nothing outstanding. The accompanying french fries tasted as though they had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. My partner had a "geschnetzeltes" mixture of liver, kindey and pork filet. It was excellent. The Rösti served with it had obviously been sitting for a while as well and were getting soggy. Given the crowd the kitchen performed adequately. We have been here a number of times and always enjoy the meal. Preis/Leistung (bang for the buck) is OK.

I went there several times on business tripps. Every room has its own style so it is pretty much like staying in different hotels. The service is friendly and the food is excellent (maybe a little expensive). If I would go on holiday in this region I'd consider staying at this nice place.

I just wanted a small lunch and the weather was rather hot. So I sat in the Garden of the Rebstock and ordered the kidneys with risotto. It was absolutely delicious and needs to be recommended.
