Landgasthaus Zur Freiheit in Haltern am See

We were there as a small group and received a very warm welcome. The staff was super friendly and asked repeatedly if everything was okay and whether the food tasted good. Extra sauce was added without us having to ask. Great service! The food, from the beef roulade to the fried feta cheese, was delicious for my friends and me!

We ate at the Landgasthaus zur Freiheit (country inn) and were thoroughly impressed. For starters, we had a delicious goulash soup with fresh, homemade bread. For main courses, we had a schnitzel with chanterelle mushrooms and a burger with fries. At the next table, beef roulades were served – everything was excellent and of impeccable quality. The ambiance is rustic and homely, yet very cozy; we like that, but it's certainly a matter of taste. The menu is concise but very well-chosen, with seasonal dishes like the chanterelle mushrooms. The portions are generous, and the value for money is absolutely spot on. The extremely friendly service deserves special mention. There's a lovely beer garden in front of the restaurant, and parking is also available. We'll definitely be back – and are already looking forward to the winter season.

We booked the country inn's party service and were absolutely delighted! The food arrived on time, and the friendly staff set everything up quickly. Our guests were thrilled with the quality of the food, and the quantity was more than sufficient. This won't be the last time we order from here!

We always enjoy eating at Freiheit. The birthday table was beautifully set. It's simply a pleasure to dine there. The service is truly excellent. We'll have another birthday soon, and we're looking forward to it.

Yes, the portions were just right, not overly generous as is sometimes the case. The food was good, the service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was pleasant too. Things can always be better, and food is a matter of taste. My husband found his a bit bland...but they'll probably add salt and pepper if you ask. He enjoyed it, but at home he says the roulades are better.

Definitely go and enjoy! We were there with 13 people. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. After a four-hour stay, including dessert and a nightcap, we finally had to leave – but we could have spent even more hours there! Many thanks to the team at the Langasthaus.

We took a trip to Haltern and stopped at the “Freiheit” for dinner. The reviews spoke for themselves and were absolutely confirmed for us. Very, very nice, relaxed and friendly service. The bread as a greeting from the kitchen was great!!! The same goes for the main courses... good portions, everything fresh and crispy fries! We can only recommend this inn and would be happy to come back when we are in the area again. Thank you very much for a lovely and delicious evening. The food was truly delicious, but the portions were also very large. The service was great and you immediately felt at home. I highly recommend it. But you should definitely bring a decent appetite.

Excellent food, but... come hungry. The portions are definitely not small. You might wait a little longer than elsewhere, but everything is freshly prepared and it's truly worth it. The service is attentive without being intrusive. And the prices? There's nothing to complain about here either. Perfectly reasonable, I'd even say: good value for money! We'll be happy to come back!

We tested it today, the many very good reviews suggested that we had a very good kitchen. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as expected, I had "swept out the kitchen", the quality of the schnitzel was really very good, the onions were very effective bathed in fat, unfortunately no roasted aromas whatsoever, and far too much, but not enough, of the gypsy sauce, which unfortunately didn't taste like a homemade sauce, more like a ready-made sauce, but at least it was tasty. My wife had it Salmon with 'grilled vegetables' which looked a lot like fat and really glistened with oil. Grilled vegetables sounded more like grilled vegetables to me. The restaurant itself gives us the impression of being rustic and in need of renovation, the menu should perhaps be renewed, at least something The condition of the menu concerns. For us there is no reason to eat there again. I think 3 stars are appropriate.

We ate in this restaurant for the first time yesterday and loved it. Super nice service, very tasty food and a nice atmosphere at moderate prices. Only the outdated term “gypsy sauce” should soon disappear from the menu.

Great country inn. We always enjoy eating there with the family. My sister comes from Mülheim especially to enjoy “kitchen swept”. So if you're looking for good cuisine with decent portions and fair prices, you've come to the right place.

Kurzfristig an einem Sonntag Abend dort gewesen. Sehr freundliche Bedienung das Essen war lecker jedoch fehlte sowohl meiner Frau wie auch mir für 5 Sterne dann doch irgendwie etwas. Gnoccis mit Hähnchenfilet war mein Gericht dazu slat leider alles auf den gleichen Teller so dass die pfeffersauce auch den Salat zum Teil bedeckte was nicht so toll war. In Sachen vegetarische Gerichte vor ein paar Jahren irgendwie mit mehr schönen Ideen als ein Bürger und ein Nudelgericht. Es war alles lecker der Preis für den von meiner Frau genommenen Salat im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants dann ber 2 bis 3 Euro zu teuer.

Das Rib-Eye Steak war locker das beste Stück Fleisch, das ich in den letzten Jahren gegessen hatte! Zum Glück oder leider wohne ich nicht gerade ums Eck, sonst wäre ich Dauergast ;) Bedienung und Gastfreundschaft sind einzigartig! Der Laden ist stets voll und es geht lebhaft her und zu! Bis bald!

Ein Gasthaus vom Ambiente her ,aber gepflegt und passend zum Haus,. Das Essen ist sehr gut, da kocht jemand, der was kann und der Service behandelt dich als Freund, nicht wie einen Fremden! Wir kommen öfter!

Haben mal wieder dort gegessen weil wir in der Vergangenheit gute Erfahrung gemacht haben. Leider hat es sich nicht wieder bestätigt. Die Vorspeise (Garnelen) war gut. Der Gruß aus der Küche ein Gag (Popcorn)...war die Suppe aus? Steak von der Masse her gut, jedoch die Pfeffersoße hatten wir anders in Erinnerung...war etwas dünne...Hirschgulasch etwas gewürzträchtig, die Schlupfnudeln sehr schlüpfrig....und der Salat war frisch, das Dressing aus der Flasche. Die 2 Sterne gibt es nur für die super tolle. Bedienung.

Es war sehr lecker dort. Wir hatten die Rouladen mit Rotkohl. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und aufmerksam. Toller Abend. Immer wieder gerne. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir waren neulich spontan für ein Abendessen vorort. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich, Service prompt und zuvorkommend. Insgesamt kurze Wartezeiten. Die bestellten Speisen Jägerschnitzel und Teriyaki Hähnchen Pfanne waren sehr gut. Die Einrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen und könnte eine kleine Modernisierung vertragen, aber dennoch würde jederzeit wieder dort essen gehen.

Das Essen ist empfehlenswert, der Service ist freundlich und gut. Die Einrichtung ist Geschmackssache.

Die Speisekarte ich sehr übersichtig und die Auswahl groiß. Das Essen selbst ist ebenfallls sehr gut. Leider hatten wir mit der Bedienung nicht so viel Glück. Erst kam das Fleisch, Minuten später die Beilagen und als der Teller leer war der Salat.

Nicht wirklich groß, aber dafür gut. Freundliche Bedienung, das Essen ist üppig, besser mal einen Kinderteller bestellen :) Irgendwie schmeckt es, als wenn die Oma selbst kocht, man schmeckt Butter usw raus, das alles zu adäquaten Preisen. Aufgrund der Größe ist eine Reservierung empfehlenswert.

Hier ein Tip für alle die gerne gutbürgerlich esse gehen! Die Freiheit in Haltern Lippramsdorf! Ein toller Familienbetrieb, super im Service, eine richtig tolle Küche! Insgesamt eine runde Sache! Wir sind seit geraumer Zeit Wiederholungstäter und auch unsere Familie und unsere Freunde sind Fans die gerne wiederkommen!
