Very nice restaurant with delicious food and good service

Yesterday I was once again a guest of the Sprenger family at Brocher Wiesengrund. The food was, as always, excellent and delicious, the service extremely professional and courteous—a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I'd love to come back again!

As always, top-notch food, excellent service, and a fantastic atmosphere. Despite the restaurant being fully booked and the event taking place in the hall, there were minimal waits, and the entire staff was very relaxed and friendly. But that's what we're used to there. Even the manager always comes around after the kitchen closes to check on everything and ask about the guests' satisfaction. That's how we like it. See you next time!

Today was my first visit to the Landgasthaus im Wiesengrund, a country inn, as two friends who had been there several times before took me along. The restaurant immediately captivated me with its charming, rustic ambiance and many beautiful details made of old wood. The menu is diverse, and everything was freshly prepared, delicious, and attractively presented. I was particularly impressed by the friendly, attentive service – I felt completely at home and can honestly recommend the restaurant.

Jörg Sprenger and his team are absolute culinary professionals at every level. The food, the attentive service, the friendliness of the chef and his staff—everything was absolutely top-notch and highly recommended! We also heard this unanimously from our almost 100 wedding guests. We particularly appreciated Jörg Sprenger's commitment in advance and his excellent advice on the various dining options. We are more than satisfied and will, of course, return regularly for regular dining.

A large selection of dishes, very tasty and attractively presented. If it weren't for the two waitresses, who served the guests promptly and persistently and corrected the mistakes and oversights of the younger waitresses, the rating would be a maximum of one star. Inattentiveness often overlooked the fact that drinks were missing; even empty glasses were only cleared away by the young waitresses upon request. Addendum: Two weeks later, the behavior of the young waitresses has completely changed. They were very friendly and attentive, taking care of drinks, empty plates, and glasses. The restaurant and outdoor area were very busy, and the entire service team was exemplary. The kitchen, too, of course 😊. I enjoy being a guest and will definitely be back – hence the full score.

I've waited a good week to give Wiesengrund time to receive and respond to the requested review. I've now given myself the answer. My thoughts are simply ignored. Why the hell are you asking me if no one cares about the answer? 🤔 About 14 days ago, my wife and I reserved a table, and we opted for the rump steak with fillet upgrade. Instead of a fillet steak, we each got a lump of meat devoid of any roasted flavor, with a little Béarnaise sauce but a large portion of fries. We're happy to forgo another adventure.

It was an all-around successful visit. Upon entering, we were greeted very warmly by the entire staff. The waiters were promptly at our tables, took our orders promptly, and were consistently attentive without being intrusive. Although our appetizer was accidentally forgotten, this was resolved quickly and very professionally – they politely apologized and offered us a free dessert as a small token of appreciation, which we found very fair and customer-oriented. The atmosphere in the restaurant was overall very pleasant – stylish but not stuffy, just the right mix of comfort and elegance. And most importantly: the food was truly excellent! Went to the beautiful country inn a few times before Easter 2025 (today). Always particularly good cuisine. In memory of this, Easter 2025. Of the 5 dishes, 3 were completely over salted. Last night, like many times before, we were guests at the Landgasthaus Wiesengrund. As always, in addition to excellent service, there was also food that not only pampered the palate but also the eye.

At first glance you would expect hearty home cooking here (which is also available), but when you browse through the menu and look at the tables left and right you see that a chef with a lot of passion and creativity is at work here Ideas and courage to try out one thing or another. I was there on Friday, as expected it was full but the service greeted us friendly and immediately. We were shown to the table and the orders came quickly. Everyone was very attentive and friendly! The food is top class and in my opinion one of the best five restaurants in Oberberg! Clear recommendation!

Very nice restaurant with a clean and well-kept atmosphere. The service staff were super friendly. Unfortunately the food, especially the celery schnitzel, was very bland. There was also a cruet missing from the table. We don't understand why there are no wholesome fried potatoes on the weekend, but only croquettes from the deep fryer. The salad also lacked a flavor explosion. The beetroot salad was bland and took some getting used to. Too bad...

We cannot recommend Christmas dinner at Wiesengrund. You had to reserve a menu in advance, of which €17.50 per person for starter and dessert, you had to pay this price in advance. You could pay for the main course and drinks in the restaurant. Unfortunately we didn't like the starter and dessert and the price was inadequate. The main course was great and highly recommended. You also had to have a main course with the starter and dessert, even if you didn't want it, great you could take it with you if it was too much (we didn't understand the concept) One person got sick, bad luck - cancellation fee 17 .50-€. Overall, we cannot understand this Christmas concept and will not book it again. 3 stars for the very good main course.

Very nice restaurant. The food is very tasty, beautifully prepared and worth the slightly higher price. The parking situation on weekends is rather bad. It's best to park a few meters away and combine the whole thing with a short walk.

This time there were 5 of us and we all agreed: eating here is fun... all the dishes are delicious and give the impression of coming straight from the pan... that means salads and side dishes, everything freshly prepared. The chops (farmhand's plate) are great. The service is also professional, attentive and always friendly... We would be happy to come back and can easily recommend the restaurant.

My first visit here today and definitely not my last! Great service, always on point. Large selection in the menu with many interesting dishes. Food very, very tasty and beautifully prepared. The eyes definitely took part. To top it off, there is a wide selection of desserts for those with a sweet tooth, including locally produced ice cream from around the corner. Top address. The quality of the food is simply perfect, you can taste that the people in the kitchen are passionate about their job. However, if you just want to put something in quickly, you're in the wrong place. Good food takes time. Only the replenishment of drinks was a little slow.

The food was nicely prepared, unfortunately I was missing some salt and you could definitely have ordered additional pepper for the salad, but I didn't want to put too much strain on the service. Despite the preheated plates, the fries were already cold even though they were almost black. Then I had the feeling that there was a shortage of dishes in the kitchen. Why do you have to clear up when you're still eating? The children's plate with 4 fish fingers and fries, the ratio to the salad that was on the plate was not right, far too much. The selection of salads, chicory and radicchio, coleslaw and beetroot are also not the highlights for children. Despite the complaints, the food here is fresh and of high quality. I would be happy about salt and pepper on the table.

Extremely friendly staff! Nice ambience due to the low ceilings, a bit noisy when fully occupied (but that's due to the low half-timbered house - not a problem). Unfortunately, the cozy winter garden could not be covered due to the rain forecast - next time. Roast beef burger on potato pancakes and chanterelles - perfect roast beef, chanterelles with a bite and nice and big. There could have been a little more dressing on the salad. Turkey steak Africa with goat cheese and sweet potatoes French fries - all very good. We will definitely come back!

Highly priced, but absolutely justified! Delicious Bergisch cuisine, great ambience and nice staff. You should be hungry if you want to eat here. We are long-term campers at the campsite of the same name. We can definitely recommend this great restaurant. A table reservation wouldn't be a bad idea.

We celebrated our wedding at the Landgasthof Wiesengrund. We decided on an independent wedding and were very happy that we were able to celebrate it in the restaurant's beautiful beer garden. Even in bad weather there is a great “Plan B”. Jörg and his team were a great help in planning the celebration in advance and were always there to give us advice. Let's get to the celebration itself: Above the restaurant there is an air-conditioned party room in a very beautiful, modern country house style, which was decorated by Jörg's team with great attention to detail. Throughout the entire celebration, we were able to experience excellent service, even at very late hours, with employees who were always smiling and smiling. Anyone who has eaten in the restaurant beforehand knows that the food is of high quality. And at our wedding this was simply DELICIOUS! In addition to the classic dishes, Jörg provides other great ideas for designing the menu. Let's come to the price: Sure, a wedding costs money. Unfortunately, one often has the feeling that the word “wedding” alone causes prices to almost explode. However, we cannot confirm this here. The prices are absolutely FAIR and REASONABLE! In addition to the outstanding service and the excellent food, you get a great meal at the Landgasthof Wiesengrund wonderful ambience offered. Jörg was always willing to help and compromise. Above all, no money is asked for “unnecessary things”. We can recommend everyone to celebrate their party here. For us it was an all-round successful day that couldn't have been better for us. !!!THANKS!!!

We were there for the first time with the family at the weekend. The fact that you have to reserve early is absolutely justified. Great ambience, cozy atmosphere and warm staff. From the beginning we felt very comfortable. The selection of food and drinks is large and there is certainly something for everyone. Whether you're a vegetarian or someone who likes meat, the selection is great. Everything very fresh. The steak was very very good. Tasteful, as if fried to perfection. The portions are large. Price/performance is right. It is, I would say, more upscale cuisine. As a starter there was a greeting from the kitchen with bread, dip and homemade liver sausage. Everyone was very happy with their choice of dish and we all said we would go here more often. Absolutely recommended!
