Great inn in the middle of the green in Essen Burgaltendorf. The schnitzels are unbeatably large and the selection is also extensive. Unfortunately there was no dessert🤔 but most people can hardly manage the schitzel😅. I would say I would happily recommend going!!!

We had a wonderful Friday evening at the Landgasthaus Brandenburg. Together with friends we enjoyed delicious schnitzel and a freshly tapped Stauder. The quality of the food was excellent – ​​crispy breading, juicy meat and the portions were more than sufficient. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly staff, who not only greeted us warmly, but also ensured quick service. The dishes were prepared quickly without compromising the quality. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. You really get a lot for your money here. Another plus point: Parking is available directly at the house, which makes the journey very comfortable. In summer, the cozy beer garden invites you to linger - a perfect way to end the evening in a relaxed atmosphere. Overall, a successful evening in a country inn that we would happily recommend!

"Small" schnitzel with spaetzle + schnitzel potpourri (recommended) - not possible in terms of quantity... maybe lower the prices and make smaller portions, then you wouldn't have to give so many (sometimes plastic) "dog bags"... Otherwise: reservation may be necessary, good service, good location (beer garden), good taste, expensive.

We went there by bike from Gelsenkirchen, based on a recommendation. First of all I would like to say that the food was great. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is known for its schnitzels. If I'm honest, the seating was worn out. You had to make sure you didn't fall with the chairs. Very cheap garden chairs, no cushions. The place is very old and rancid. Not at all nice or comfortable. Honor came down. Wouldn't go there in bad weather. The bike tour there was great, the food was great too, but we probably won't come back.

Too many drinks were booked on our table. Despite the good tip, I would soon have paid more. The food isn't particularly good. The portions are huge. Unfortunately, you can't enjoy the beautiful view that the good location promises.

Very tasty schnitzel, top quality and quantity, if you take the large schnitzel with side dishes it is not possible. The only point of criticism: The Mr. Pisuare should perhaps be cleaned again, so everything was clean but the smell was unbearable. (maybe also due to the warm weather, we were there for the first time)

Mega large snitzels. A mini is a normal snitzel. A small and a medium size. It's very tasty. It doesn't look big in the photo, but it is certainly at least 40 cm in length and width.

The service was simply great. Super nice and spontaneous and then our order came. Simply amazing, we ordered three different schnitzel potpourri. You can then choose a topping for each schnitzel. They were very tasty 😋 and nice and thin. Price/performance TOP. We'll be back 👍.

The Brandenburg country inn is always worth a visit. The ambience is great, service is very friendly and accommodating and the food is always very, very tasty. I can recommend it to everyone because you can take the food you didn't manage to eat with you.

I was in this restaurant again after a few years because I remembered really delicious giant schnitzels with delicious sauces. Unfortunately, now only the schnitzels are quite good, although of course skin-thin, but heavily breaded. The sauces are all so stretched and elongated that they no longer taste like much. The gypsy sauce, for example, was significantly worse than in any other chip shop. A pity! The currywurst wasn't fried, just boiled and had probably been in the sauce for a long time, so you didn't have to chew it anymore. The price-performance ratio for the schnitzels, which you can easily eat for two days, is still very good. The service was quick and attentive. I think that's why the store is doing so well. If the same food were available in normal portions at normal prices, the customers would quickly leave and the ratings wouldn't be as high.

Very nice service and a great kitchen.

We stopped here following two recommendations. Contrary to the general reservation recommendation, we got a table after 45 minutes by phone for the same day (Sunday). The beer garden was well-kept but minimalistic, with no decorations or frills. The chairs are rather wobbly given my weight. We quickly received clear, clearly structured cards and our drinks quickly. Unfortunately we were served by 3 or 4 different employees. The first one brought us cards and drinks and took the order, among other things. Sauce and mayo, the second brought the food, which already reminded us of sauce and mayo, and the third then dug mayonnaise out of his warm pocket, prompt service, but of course the mayo ran off the plate. We were given wet wipes and plates to go with the spare ribs, which was nice. The fourth worker was the nicest and we were happy that he picked us up and got the tip. The spare ribs were also very meaty, relatively tender and tasty. The barbecue sauce seemed homemade, but only met 2 out of 3 tastes because it was too oniony and too vinegary for me, possibly Worcestershire sauce, but unfortunately I missed other spices and primarily the smoke flavor. Still good juicy ribs. Ommes was sufficient and crispy and well salted, the bacon beans were also al dente, but the bacon was wobbly and not so well seasoned, with ready-made hollandaise. A pity. Overall, the schnitzel sauces are rather boring and unfortunately there is no side salad and few alternatives to pork. You can be given Styrofoam boxes to take the leftovers with you. Parking is limited but we were able to move onto the street. The beer garden is even wheelchair accessible, apart from the areas with pebbles. Since I haven't visited the interior or the washrooms, I can't write anything about them. Anyone who likes pork schnitzel will definitely be happy there. Since we don't like XXL portions and the sauces weren't anything special, we wouldn't drive that far again (15km). Still worth seeing.

The dining room reminded me of the pub from the series News from Büttenwarder. The food and service was top. The Bergarten is definitely very beautiful in summer, I will try it out then.

Delicious schnitzels in an older pub atmosphere

We ate there as a family 2 weeks ago. The beer garden is nicely designed. The service staff were friendly. We ate various schnitzels there, all of which were good. The sauces taste good, but are nothing special. The price-performance ratio is right. We'll definitely come back again.

The food was a mega hearty portion of schnitzel It was super tasty, I had the 3 mini schnitzels with mushroom cream sauce, pepper cream sauce, and gypsy sauce. and my wife had the XXL Schnitzel Haus Brandenburg with mushrooms and fried eggs.. Excessively large schnitzels for normal prices - but very, very large. Just a good effect for photos and internet. The size is attractive and has a wow effect - but absolutely too much and therefore unappetizing. We didn't eat any schnitzel for weeks afterwards. Ambiance is very, very old-fashioned and no longer up to date - but clean. Been there once, it was ok...2.x I personally don't have to go there anymore.

Actually a very clear 5 star restaurant. Service top. Food top. Ambience great. The portions are huge. Not very big but huge. We'll definitely come back more often, but the overall rating is only 4 stars because it would only be perfect if they offered homemade fries.

Unfortunately I can only rate the food very well. We walked into the restaurant and immediately encountered a strange smell. We then also saw that there was apparently water damage there. I don't know why this isn't fixed or separated. The impression was definitely not the best. But we knew it from before and thought: the main thing is that it tastes good. Nobody can do anything about the damage. When I sat down I had to ask the waitress to clean the table; there were still clear marks left by the previous person. After the waitress cleaned it and the whole table was wet, we wiped the whole thing dry again. The orders went smoothly. When the food came, we saw that the large plates were completely broken. Corners chipped etc. When the extra plate came, we had to return it twice because it was still dirty. But food was delicious. It's the little things that make a difference. Women's restroom wasn't the cleanest The water damage was clearly visible (brown streaks could be seen from the ceiling, lamps were hanging out) The broken plates The table that is not clean The dirty plates The lackluster service. There is a tent outside (visible from the inside) that can be cleaned. Things used to be much better. (location related) I have the feeling that the restaurant has been allowed to deteriorate a bit. It's best to call in advance and reserve a table. It's usually fully booked 😌 It wasn't the last time we were there. Great class. The service was also super friendly and when our drink was empty there was something new straight away. Very attentive 😊

A restaurant in Essen, in the hilly and green south. Unfortunately on the edge of a residential area with only limited parking spaces in front of the house. The dining room is small, there is enough space to sit even with larger groups; there is no such thing as seclusion from the other guests in the high-ceilinged but relatively unadorned room. The food, primarily schnitzel, was decent and of good quality, but not surprising or inspiring in terms of cuisine. The service and preparation was courteous, quick and pleasant to deal with. The standard program includes the offer to take part of the portion size, which is usually too large, home with you: containers are offered with a wink to anyone who has a plate that is still full and starts to wheeze.

The food is absolutely amazing! The main course there is schnitzel. These are available there from "Mini Schnitzel (Is actually a normal Schnitzel) to "Little Schnitzel" (Is an XXL Schnitzel) up to the large Schnitzel (The Schnitzel is then so big that it protrudes over a really large plate). The The schnitzels are nice and thin and taste really great. The side dishes that come with them are also fresh and tasty and all at a really great price! When there is very little use, it quickly becomes very loud.

It was my first, but certainly not the last, time at the Brandenburg country inn. Straight to the ambience, well, it was okay. Personally, I didn't find it very comfortable, rather rustic/simply furnished. Then quickly eat. Yes, what can I say, my choice fell on the three schnitzel variant (Wiener Schnitzel Potpourri). Here each schnitzel can be individually dressed with a topping. I had Champion cream sauce, Bearnaise (fresh Champions and Bernaise sauce gratinated) and Brandenburg (fresh Champions, braised onions and fried egg). I have to say one of the best schnitzels I've ever eaten, and there were a few! Plus a few fries, really crunchy imperial vegetables and a small salad bouquet. The leftovers, if there are any, can of course be taken with you, which I always think is great! I also saw the LARGE schnitzel and a cordon bleu, it looked great! Drinks were available to quench your thirst. The service was also super friendly, attentive and lightning fast, which is also a big compliment! Actually there was dessert...Kaiserschmarn...hmmmmmmmmmm, fantastic! Conclusion: Mega delicious food with great service in a “normal” atmosphere. 200% recommended!!! I'll be back ;-)

We discovered the country inn by chance on Google. The food was very tasty and the large portions meant we were able to take some home with us at the end. We had the schnitzel potpourie, where we could choose three schnitzel toppings with a side dish and salad. The "small" schnitzels would be sold as regular/large schnitzels in other restaurants. When I ordered I was asked whether I wanted the side dish to stay as it was on the menu or if I wanted something different, which I found very thoughtful. I thought the selection of schnitzel toppings was great, not too few that everyone had the same thing, and not too much that you would be overwhelmed by it. My girlfriend's Kaiserschmarn dessert could have been a little sweeter, but it was sweet enough for me. The negative aspect is that the parking lot is a bit too small. But that may be due to the space available and I find a beer garden more pleasant than a large parking lot. Anyone planning a visit to the country inn should definitely reserve a table in advance. We were lucky and found a place without a reservation, but you can't always rely on such good weather ;)

We didn't really like it and can't recommend it for the following reasons 1. Ambience the tables are too small and much too close to the neighbors the volume in the restaurant is much too loud like in the stadium it is hardly possible to have a conversation 2. the food In our opinion, the schnitzels are industrially produced and would only be thrown into the fat. The side dishes such as mushrooms and sauces are probably from a can, so they taste good too 3. Super lecker! Riesen Schnitzel! Hier bekommt man ein Doggie-Bag, aber in Wahrheit nehme ich mir den Rest immer für den nächsten Tag mit, weil es einfach so viel ist. Im Sommer ist dann auch der Biergarten wieder geöffnet.

Das Landgasthaus Brandenburg hat sich auf große Schnitzel im XXL-Format spezialisiert. Es gibt die Größen „Mini“ (etwa 200g), „Klein „(etwa 400g) und „Groß“ (800g). Die Schnitzel lassen sich Wiener-Art oder mit verschiedenen Soßen bestellen. Es gibt auch eine Cordon-Bleu Variante. Es gibt neben den Schnitzel noch einige andere Speisen, der Hauptfokus liegt aber auf den Schnitzeln. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Ambiente ist eher gewöhnungsbedürftig. Hier könnte es irgendwie gemütlicher sein, aber das ist natürlich nur mein subjektives Gefühl.

Uriges Ambiente, sehr netter Service und die vermutlich beste Anlaufstelle der Region für besonders hungrige Schnitzel-Liebhaber.

Wie immer sehr zufrieden gewesen. Ich empfehle jedem das Schnitzel Potpourri zu probieren. Preise waren wie immer top.

War diesesmal nicht so schön, Essen und Bedienung war ok, der Kassiervorgang chaotisch, es wurden verschiedene Gerichte falsch oder der anderen Familie berechnet. Auch wenn man an einem gemeinsamen Tisch sitzt, aber getrennte Rechnungen möchte, sollte die Bedienung in der Lage sein, das richtig abzurechnen.

Dieses Restaurant ist einfach Klasse. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut. Die Bedienung ist immer freundlich und aufmerksam. Im Sommer hat es einen großen Biergarten um draußen essen zu können. Im Winter ist es sehr von Vorteil einen Tisch zu reservieren, da dieses Restaurant sehr beliebt ist und innen nicht soviel Platz aus wie draussen. Wir sind immer wieder gerne hier.

Seit 6 Jahren kommen mein Mann und ich sehr sehr gerne zum Schnitzel essen vorbei. Das Personal ist immer sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich immer sehr willkommen. Das Essen hat uns noch nie enttäuscht. Es ist alles dort wirklich sehr lecker und empfehlenswert!
