We sat outside, very cute. Lamb fillet, beef fillet tips and tiramisu...a taste explosion! The food is excellent, homemade food, everything fresh and delicious! If you are in Oberhausen you should definitely go. Super nice people in service!

Multiple problems when you ask for the bill and have to wait forever for it. Then suddenly no card payment possible, supposedly posted inside, but sat outside where no information was available. Good food, but service absolutely not recommended. They used to be happy customers, but not anymore.

Wir hatten telefonisch reserviert also auf in die Innenstadt von Oberhausen. Von Außen keine Reklame absolut nichtssagend, man schaut von außen auf ein leer wirkendes Lokal. Wir waren uns schon nicht mehr sicher, gingen aber rein und sahen dann aber das es gut besucht war, die Leute saßen hinten oben! Wir wurden begrüßt und nahmen oben an einem rundtisch für 4 PS Platz. Man fühlte sich wie im Urlaub, kann man schlecht beschreiben. Tolles Ambiente mit offener Küche, einfach toll. Die Bedienung kam und bat eine an, die probiert werden konnten. Die Karte wäre klein und würden Montag Wechseln. Preislich schon im höheren Bereich angesiedelt. Oktopus für 18,- meine Vorspeise, ein Traum lecker angemacht. Klasse. Die Dorade im ganzen bestellt als Filet gebracht , schade hier hätte ein kostenloses Getränk kommen können. Ansonsten schmeckte alles sehr steht gut und passte gut zusammen. Gesamt Note 2 Wir kommen gerne wieder

La Madalena is a real gem that stands out for its exceptional cuisine and unique atmosphere. The menu is a perfect mix of creativity and sophistication that delights with every visit. Every dish I tried was not only incredibly tasty, but also prepared with great attention to detail - this is where food becomes an art. Absolutely recommended!

A nice restaurant in the style of Sicily. As starter we had a fish soup and i never had a soup so much filled with fish in all kinds before. As main dish my partner had tunafish, very nicely served with mango chutney and more. I had duck with potato’s and a variety of vegetables. All was accompanied by a Sicilian red wine. The dishes were filling us more than expected so we had no place left unfortunately for the desert. The restaurant is certainly worthwhile visiting.

We “landed” here by chance and had a wonderful, authentic evening. Great, friendly and competent hosts, extremely delicious cuisine and a great wine selection. We'll definitely be back!

… exzellente Speisen in einer gemütlichen, stilvollen Umgebung. Wer mag, kann in der offenen Küche beim Zubereiten der Speisen zusehen. Da muss sich ein Restaurant und seine Küche zutrauen. Und es gehört bei demjenigen in der Küche, hier Gianluca Demirci, Selbstbewusstsein, Mut, Offenheit, Erfahrung und großes Können dazu.

Nachdem man uns bei der Aufnahme unserer Bestellung gleich mitteilte welche Gerichte nicht mehr verfügbar waren wurde uns bei dem Servieren unserer gewählten Gerichte lapidar mitgeteilt, das bei einem Gericht (Linguine mit Trüffeln), der Preis nicht mehr gelte und sich damit der Essenspreis um 10€! erhöht hat. Die Portionen waren mehr als übersichtlich so das hier nicht mehr von einem ausgewogenen Preis,-Leistungsverhältnis gesprochen werden konnte.

Simply put, very warm and delicious 😋 I was there for the first time in November and enjoyed it straight away, i.e. from the boss to the waiters, they were very warm, attentive and friendly. Delicious wines and open kitchen. You can see how much love and dedication is in every plate. You've come to the wrong place with pizza. There is very good fish and meat here. I've been there 4 times in November/December and left with a smile every time. If I like quality food, that's it La Maddalena my new address!!! Enjoy your hunger everyone!!!!

A great Italian restaurant on the Altmarkt. If you sit upstairs, you can watch the kitchen team prepare the delicious dishes. The service is extremely attentive and very friendly.

Hello everyone, I was eating there with my wife last night. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and shown to a place. This place was at the top of the kitchen, which was open. We were able to watch the kitchen team cooking, which was very admirable to our eye. Everything was very good clean and coordinated The ambience was very nice and simply furnished, the toilet facilities were clean. My wife said that the women's toilet was also very nicely decorated and well maintained. The tables were all beautifully set. When our starter came, the waiters immediately re-set the dishes. We had home-baked bread and got a great dip, the food was also very good and we felt comfortable. I can only recommend this restaurant for another visit. Greetings vogelsang

Price-performance ratio not acceptable. Way too expensive. I've eaten much better in Oberhausen for less money. The dish I wanted to order could not be prepared for me. In the end I had to pay in cash because the device didn't work. Never again!

… ist ein Sarde. Das Restaurant liegt etwas versteckt in der Fußgängerzone der Innenstadt. Wir sind erst vorbeigelaufen, wurden dann an der Tür sehr freundlich mit Namen begrüßt. Überhaupt war die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam und höflich. Das Interieur ist schlicht und modern, die Küche offen. Dadurch fühlt man sich wie in einer Cantina und es ist etwas laut, weniger romantisch. Die Karte ist überschaubar (was gut ist) und alle Gerichte klingen sehr ansprechend. Klassische Gerichte gibt es eher wenige (Panzanella, Carbonara, Malloreddus), dafür aber viele kreative Kombinationen, die ich nicht erwartet hätte, z.B. Thunfischsteak mit Mango, Ingwer und Yuzu. Wir hatten als Antipasto eine Frittura mista und Oliven. Dazu gab‘s Brot und als Gruß aus der Küche eine sehr leckere Trüffelbutter. Danach hatten wir besagten Thunfisch (auf den Punkt scharf angebraten, innen roh und von bester Qualität, so wie man es erwarten darf). Die Mango allerdings war leider nicht so aromatisch. Und Schwertfisch vom Grill mit AOP. Pasta al dente. AOP als Beilage finde ich genial! Der Schwertfisch war etwas zu durch für meinen Geschmack, aber nichtsdestoweniger waren beide Gerichte sehr schmackhaft. Am Ende waren wir sehr satt und hatten leider keinen Platz mehr für einen Nachtisch. Ich würde die Portionen eher kleiner bemessen, damit man einen Primo und Secondo nehmen kann, oder ein Degustationsmenü anbieten. Überhaupt klingt die Karte so gut, dass wir auf jeden Fall mehr als einmal dort essen werden, um alles zu probieren. Die Küche würde ich sagen ist gehoben, die Preise ebenso. Wir haben für Aperitif, Wasser, Antipasti und Secondi + Cafè 115€ bezahlt. Wein haben wir nicht getrunken. Über 20€ für eine Carbonara habe ich mich etwas gewundert, Preise um 30€ für guten Fisch finde ich aber angemessen. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend!

Good food in an urban atmosphere The La Maddalena restaurant in Oberhausen impresses with its high-quality cuisine. The dishes were tasteful and freshly prepared. The menu offers, among other things, a large selection of fish dishes. I would like to mention the lamb as an example, it couldn't have been prepared better - tender, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is urban and modern. The furnishings create a pleasant atmosphere that invites you to linger. Overall the environment was very pleasant. The service was attentive and friendly, and our requests were quickly addressed. We can fully recommend La Maddalena and will definitely come back!

Wow - just wow. The food is amazing, the service is great. Fresh products. Greatly prepared. A restaurant that you would expect in Munich, Hamburg or Zurich. The ambience of this restaurant is outstanding for Oberhausen. Its nicley designed and one can think you are somewhere else. The service was friendly and polite. We had to wait a long time for our food despite the restaurant beeing almost empty. There are only very limited vegetarian dishes and those where overprized and all the food was on the higher end which is fine if it is reflected in the qualitity and creativity of the dishes. This I could not detect in any of the dishes unfortunately.

The quality of the food was okay, but very clear. An exception is the dessert mousse chocolate, it was generous. The menu is very fish-heavy, with hardly any meat dishes. Furthermore, the location is recommended for those who want to maintain their weight and not gain weight. In addition, the price-performance ratio is not right, the prices are overpriced. We won't be coming back.

I have rarely eaten as well as I did in this restaurant! The salmon was simply fantastic. My companion had the sea bass and was also really impressed. The dishes were a real highlight not only in terms of taste, but also visually. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, you immediately feel at home. A real insider tip for all fish lovers! We'll definitely be back!

The food tastes really great and is prepared with great attention to detail. The salad, the spaghetti carbonara, the sea bream are my absolute favorites, not forgetting the tartufo limoncello. Let Gian Luca pamper you! We really enjoy eating there. The outdoor area is really nice.

The ambience in the location matches the Italian charm. The staff is very nice and accommodating, especially the singing waitress. The food blew us away; despite being slightly spicy, it was incredibly tasty with lots of fresh ingredients. The only drawback is that you only get the drinks menu upon request. Very nice atmosphere and the food was really delicious! I had the vegan dish and could only recommend it to everyone. The dishes change every month, so there is always variety here :) The prices are very fair considering the quality of the food. Everyone, the entire staff and also the boss, are very accommodating, friendly and you always feel warmly welcome. It was definitely not the last time we were guests!

I had the pleasure of dining at La Madalena Restaurant and it was a wonderful experience. The fried prawns were a real treat - perfectly crispy and juicy, with a lovely seasoning that really brought out the natural flavor of the prawns. To top it all off, I enjoyed the pistachio ice cream, which was exceptional in both consistency and taste. The creamy texture and intense pistachio flavor made every spoonful a little piece of heaven. La Madalena not only offers great food, but also a warm and welcoming atmosphere that completes the entire experience. I can highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit!

I've been there three times now and won't be back. The food is top class, no question. But the staff has been reduced significantly. They all move, but completely uncoordinated. Empty dishes are not taken away, drinks are forgotten and the restaurant is very noisy. Not to mention the completely exorbitant wine prices. It's actually a shame, because as I said, the food is great!

Just wow. Really a great restaurant with great food. The menu is small and always changing because all ingredients are always purchased fresh. We were there on a Sunday and 2 dishes were out. We didn't find it bad at all that it confirmed that the ingredients were purchased fresh. Since the dish we wanted was no longer available, we got a round of drinks on the house. The chef was personally at our table. You could taste the quality and the portions were very large. We only managed the starter and main course. The waiters were courteous, open and we felt very comfortable as guests. We would be happy to come back and recommend the restaurant!

The greeting from the kitchen wasn't bread with truffle butter, but with cream cheese. The shrimp with olives and sheep's cheese were a poem. The sea bream came as a fillet and was tasty but a bit too fatty. All in all, a successful, delicious evening with extremely attentive service

My colleague and I didn't know what to expect. We chose La Maddalena instead of the usual pizza without reading any reviews first. We walked past first because it was so dark in the front part. We thought it was closed. Fortunately, we ended up testing the door. The service staff were very attentive and friendly. The ambience with an open kitchen was interesting. As a starter we had the fish soup and the prawns. The portions were very large and both tasted excellent. This prompted us to guide four other colleagues who had just arrived in Oberhausen to the restaurant. For the main course we chose sea bream and monkfish. These dishes were also extremely tasty. The service was always there for us during the visit, humorous and courteous. At the end the boss gave us a very friendly farewell. The food is not cheap, but the prices are quite reasonable for the quality. We will be happy to come back.

The three of us were at LaMaddalena today and were absolutely thrilled. From the service to the food, it was an all-round great evening! Both the starters and the main courses were really perfectly prepared and we don't have a single criticism to mention. The food is great, that's why you go there. I think the prices, which seem too high for others, are justified. I found a glass of wine (pinot grigio) for 10€ to be a bit too much. The ambience is so, so. What I really liked was the piano player, although I don't know if that's always the case. Cloth napkins very good. What I also didn't like was the bread, which unfortunately tasted like it had been made the day before. When asked they said it wasn't standard and bread was normally baked. I also really liked the small but very unusual card, you couldn't decide. Unfortunately the tiramisu wasn't available, which was a shame. The location is rather suboptimal, parking spaces are available in the nearby former Kaufhof (now hotel). Unfortunately, what I didn't like at all was the cold in the restaurant, so put on a sweater or wait until summer. But I will visit it again because of the food.

The food is already very good that only one can admit. That's it, a small, very manageable menu. If you're looking for something like a good pizza from an Italian restaurant or a vegetarian selection fails. The shop is located right in the city near the betting booth and kiosk. Parking in front of the house not possible. In return you get a very tasty fish dish with 2 small potatoes for €32 and a portion of pasta for €16. If you're on a diet but want to eat very tasty food for a lot of money, this is the place for you.
