The ambiance was pleasant and cozy, with great high ceilings. The service was truly friendly and attentive, so nothing was lacking. I had a roast beef with onions and spaetzle, which was delicious. The meat was tender and everything was perfectly seasoned. I'd be happy to come back. 😉

Laimers is a libely neighborhood restaurant offering generous indoor seating and a spacious outdoor beer garden. The atmosphere is pleasant, though the wooden chairs, lacking cushions, are not designed for long periods of comfort. Service is efficient, and the menu presents a broad mix of options, from fresh salads and bowls to burgers, traditional Bavarian dishes, and even tarte flambee. The meatballs with dark beer sauce and potato salad were tasty: the meatballs tender and flavorful, the sauce rich and balanced, and the potato salad carefully seasoned without excessive acidity. Pricing, however, feels somewhat elevated, with bowls at €17.90 and burgers around €15 without sides, placing the value proposition slightly below expectations. Overall, Laimer delivers a varied menu, well-prepared dishes, and efficient service, though comfort and pricing leave room for improvement.

I returned to Laimers after many years, but noticed that the food had declined considerably. Unfortunately, my burger was only mediocre in flavor. For that, I'm giving it three stars. However, I would like to emphasize the friendliness and attentiveness of the service staff. Therefore, I'm giving it four stars overall.

My 10 year old son and I stumbled upon this place after returning a rental car at the nearby Hertz office. You wouldn't know from the outside but on a Saturday evening, this place was positively buzzing and truly delivered. Food and service were both excellent, and the menu had a ton of variety, including many of the german classics, but also a number of other surprises. The lively atmosphere was very welcoming and I can only imagine the friendships formed and deepened at a place like Laimers. Highly recommend even though it's a bit off the beaten path!

A nice restaurant, but the food wasn't great. The veggie burger tasted mostly of stock cubes, ketchup, and mayo from packets. Nothing special, really. The staff seemed stressed and rather unfriendly. We won't be coming back.

Laimers is perfect when you have to accommodate a lot of different tastes - whether it's your dad who wants roast pork, your girlfriend looking for vegan dishes, whether it's Thai curry, burgers or gluten-free Buddha bowl - everyone will find what they're looking for. Breakfast is also very nice, whether it's classic sausage, cheese, eggs and bacon or bowls and granola. Everything tastes very good, a very nice little outdoor area with a beer garden - the ambience inside is very tasteful. Unfortunately, one star is deducted here because it's really loud inside when the place is full, so that you can't have a proper conversation without almost having to shout at each other. The staff are mostly quick and friendly. I always enjoy coming here, especially in the summer when you can sit outside. Be sure to make a reservation, especially on weekends.

Today's visit as a guest (July 3, 2025) living around the corner was unfortunately more than disappointing. Apart from the outrageous price-performance ratio, the service was generally beyond unfriendly. As consumers of approximately €50 per person (drinks only), we sometimes had to wait half an hour for our drinks, even though the beer garden was barely full. When it started to rain lightly, the beer garden umbrella was immediately closed without us being allowed to finish our drinks. The service inside said/shouted: "No more service outside." When we asked/ordered in the "restaurant" (we had taken our drinks outside ourselves because of the smoking and the presence of a dog), we were told: "We've been told the whole time that YOU have to leave the beer garden. If you don't understand that, that's YOUR problem -> "Stefan," the barman with an earring. Generally disrespectful and uninterested staff, as well as poor service. That was definitely the last time the "restaurant" saw us.

LAIMERS has become an institution. Great restaurant with excellent food. They also specialize in Asian cuisine. There are also very fine dishes for vegetarians. Service is very friendly and attentive. There's a small beer garden outside! Since the rooms are very large, it can get quite loud when the restaurant is full!

Update: After today's visit, Laimers won't be seeing me (us) again anytime soon... In today's light summer rain, the beer garden was evacuated due to "insurance reasons." We wanted to finish our drinks under the umbrella, but a waitress came and told us to go inside immediately, as the umbrella was being closed. I've never experienced anything like this before... We could have picked up our drinks inside – we would have preferred to stay outside, but this was refused – the bartender, who was acting like the owner, became beyond rude and extremely disrespectful... An incredible service.... Congratulations! Other shortcomings: -Warm wine spritzer -Ashtrays only emptied upon request Conclusion: If you don't want to make a profit – just close down! After all, well over €100 was consumed in 2 hours! Actually a nice beer garden with slightly higher prices. Given the food, the service could be a bit better. New guests are sometimes overlooked, and you have to deliberately draw attention to yourself. The service seems a bit disorganized. The food is average.

I've rarely experienced such disrespectful behavior as in this "restaurant." The bartender first openly insulted me – in a manner that would be inappropriate even in the back corner of a bar. As if that weren't pathetic enough, he then tried to "correct" me with an arrogant, patronizing attitude, as if he had a monopoly on decency. What you get here isn't hospitality, but a mixture of arrogance and latent aggression – served with a self-indulgent grin. Anyone who values ​​respectful behavior should avoid this establishment altogether. There are enough establishments in the city where, as a paying guest, you're not treated like a nuisance.

Highly recommended restaurant/bar in Laim. We go there regularly and can wholeheartedly recommend Laimers. The food is of excellent quality, offering local specialties alongside more experimental dishes, which we believe rounds out the menu nicely. Even though the prices are a bit steep, we still consider them reasonable and fair. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, always eager to accommodate guests or find a seat for new arrivals. We always feel at home at Laimers and find ourselves coming back again and again.

This is a German restaurant. It is divided into booths and the spacious interior can accommodate groups of several people. They have a lunch menu on weekdays and also breakfast. It's a good restaurant in every respect.

Very friendly staff, good atmosphere, and good food. I might not travel far, but Laim is lucky to have this restaurant in town. The menu is varied, and for a pub, there are a surprising number of alternatives to the classic fare—whether you're vegetarian, want breakfast, or just fancy something unusual. On my last visit, the chef apparently spilled the vinegar bottle a little over my otherwise delicious and plentiful salad. This complaint was handled promptly and friendly, and I was offered a free drink. There's a lovely beer garden, and the location is centrally located in the neighborhood—so nothing should stand in the way of a visit.

Was there for brunch. Couscous with mint was served in a bowl as small as an egg cup. The soft egg wasn't even lukewarm. Noisy atmosphere - not recommended!

Overall, a nice restaurant and reasonably priced, but the breakfast there really ruined my day today. My friends' breakfasts, who all had something different, looked very good and were super plentiful. Unfortunately, mine was carelessly prepared and very little. The couscous salad, which only came in a mini portion in a dip bowl that is actually used for ketchup and mayo, was not worth mentioning, even though it is explicitly mentioned on the menu as part of the breakfast. When I complained, the waitress brought a larger portion, but the salad was just dry couscous with mint, which is not a salad. The fruits that were explicitly mentioned as ingredients were 1 slice of kiwi, 1 quarter of orange and a thin slice of star fruit. What was even more strange was that there was more fruit on the other plates, even though it wasn't mentioned on the menu. I really can't recommend the Marrakech breakfast, it won't fill you up on that alone. I will probably go to the restaurant again with my friends, but I definitely won't order it again, it doesn't live up to expectations, I can do it better at home and it's not worth the price. I ate something at home first.

I recently had lunch at Laimers Wirtshaus and it was great. The lunch menu offers a good selection of delicious dishes, and the food tasted very good. The beer garden is particularly nice and is really inviting when the weather is nice. Domi, the innkeeper, creates a great atmosphere with his friendly manner and makes the stay even more pleasant. The service was quick and attentive. I'll definitely be back, especially when the weather is nice and you can sit in the beer garden!

Great restaurant with a good vegan selection - only a vegan dessert is missing. Otherwise great: various vegan bowls and salads, but also delicious curry and a vegan Bolognese. The soups are super tasty and are actually enough as a main course. Service was very friendly and competent: when something got mixed up with the order, we were invited for a coffee at the end. Roast pork was very dry. The burger meat wasn't freshly prepared either. It was very loud in there because of the large, high rooms. Because of the good reviews, we were expecting at least more from the food, but even that was unfortunately disappointing.

Unfortunately I can't give such a great review overall: The food is nothing special, I had to add seasoning both times I've been here, even though I don't usually eat that spicy food. I found the service to be mixed. Some waitresses are very polite, friendly and accommodating, with others you have the feeling that you have to be careful... then an order doesn't come quickly enough and people snort and roll their eyes; or when the drinks are brought and you order another light one because you ran out of it in the meantime, you can prepare yourself for some shit as to why you didn't order at the same time as the others. Well, I don't want to send anyone back and forth unnecessarily, but if you don't feel like doing the job, then you just shouldn't do it. My opinion. It's also loud in the store, so it's difficult to have a comfortable conversation. All in all, there are a lot of taverns in Laim and Pasing where you will definitely be served better than here.

A wonderful restaurant! It looks nondescript from the outside, but is a hidden gem. It has a modern and clean environment, the staff is helpful and nice, and the food is delicious! I had a goat-cheese-bowl, which was totally worth it for the price. I would definitely go here again!

The Laimers is the perfect all-rounder. Here you can have a very good and extensive breakfast but also eat very well for lunch and dinner. The Mexican Burger and the Breznschnitzel are highly recommended. The insider tip for breakfast is whole grain bread. Good long drinks and cocktails are also offered. There is also a very comfortable outdoor area. The staff is well-coordinated, very friendly and helpful. Finally: you can get a very good espresso martini here.

I can only agree with Vito. Splendid restaurant very close to the a&o hostel where we slept for two nights. Maximum ten minutes on foot. Modern place, very kind staff and abundant and really delicious dishes. In the photo two soups, one based on chestnuts, divine, and one based on pumpkin and ginger, equally delicious. Spectacular venison goulash, with a cocoa aftertaste with cheese spatzle, cranberries and slightly acidic stewed onion. Some chicken cutlets with the same spatzle and two mega double hamburger sandwiches that my boys really liked. Munchen hell beer is light and easy to drink, slightly fruity on the finish, sweets and digestives crowned a three days that I will remember with pleasure not only for the beauties of the city but also thanks to this truly unique restaurant. Special thanks to the room service guys who do their job really well, despite having the menu only in German, when they realized that we were having some difficulties, they sent us a waitress who spoke Italian very well. When it comes to luck and attention to the customer. Thanks guys. Excellent value for money. Seven of us had dinner €33 each. If you pass through Munich you can't miss it. Bon appetit😋😋

Coming from Agnes-Bernauer-Straße you don't immediately see the Laimers. But if you come from Landsberger Straße you take Agricolastr. taking straight to it, can't miss it. Even from the outside there is a beautiful ambience that arouses curiosity. Inside there are various areas with a nice “tavern atmosphere”. It's really easy to sit and eat (if you're not sitting under a ventilation fan). The selection of food (including vegans, of course), drinks and, to highlight, cocktails leaves something for everyone. But the best thing is that you can have a nice meal here - before or after a visit to the "Neues Rex" cinema. This is how “small cinemas become really big”. Highly recommended! And when the weather is nice, outside in the beer garden, surrounded by beautiful old buildings.

The Laimers is always a good place to go for food and drinks, we had schnitzel very tasty, unfortunately all the tables were reserved, but after asking when a table would be reserved later, we agreed with the waitress. 1.5 hours until reservation is enough to eat one star Deduction from the ambience because there is little sound-absorbing material, for example.
