Lagom Restaurant & Bar in Kiel

Es war unser erster Besuch des Lagom, nach Tripadvisor eines der besten Restaurants in Kiel. Die Tische stehen eng an eng, Privatsphäre ist kaum möglich. Wenn man Pech hat wie ich, schaut man auf eine graue Wand. Das Essen es war lauwarm. Die Sauce zu den Ochsenbäckchen war dünn wie eine Suppe und fade. Das Wolfsbarschfilet geschmacklich neutral. Die als Beilage servierten Bratkartoffel waren angebrannt, weich und nicht genießbar. Wenn das nicht Convenience Ware war, wäre es noch peinlicher. Nach einer 3/4 Std. und halb vollen Tellern, war das unser letzter Besuch des Lagom.

"Lagom" bedeutet so viel wie "Entspannung/Ruhe". Doch davon ist im Restaurant nichts zu spüren. Die Einrichtung ist kühl, das Personal eher träge. Was mich besonders abschreckt: Man hat nur 2 Stunden Zeit, um zu essen. Dann wird der Tisch für die nächsten Gäste benötigt! Wie soll da Entspannung bzw. Ruhe beim Essen entstehen? Zumal man einen guten Teil der 2 Stunden schon auf die Bedienung bzw. das Essen warten muss???

The food was very tasty and the service was very attentive.

Interesting restaurant, great location, beautifully decorated, the ceiling design is particularly noteworthy. The tables are very close together, which gives the whole thing a rabbit-like feel. The service is very friendly and attentive. The starters tasted very good. But we had to wait a really long time for our main courses, the kitchen couldn't keep up with the orders, we definitely need to work on that!!! There were four of us. And only one meal was really top, the ox cheeks, really a poem - the side dishes were delicious, the potato gratin was cold, the waitress reacted immediately and immediately brought a warm one. The rump steak was ok, the sauce was great. The fried saddle of wild boar was very, very firm, you really had to work to cut the meat and the teeth had a hard time... what a shame...! We will give you a second chance, maybe today was an exception because of the high frequency. We would be happy if we were all happy with our food on our next visit.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right at all. There were two of us in the restaurant and we had steak and wild boar. The steak was tough and the food overall was lukewarm at most. The ambience is similar to a canteen - unfortunately it is uncomfortable and very loud. In addition, we were assigned a table that was so small that there was hardly any space for the food and drinks we ordered. Too bad! We expected much more for the prices charged there.

Maritime ambience with simple wooden tables - very tasty food - priced with (too) big ambitions. Cowboy steak is John Wayne format. Recommendation 😄

Great location, good food, very nice and attentive service...but I find the ambience more cold than cozy, especially given the meaning of the name...then bare concrete walls and a frame made of construction plank to the next room...I would work on that :-)

I had a very nice evening at Lagom. The service was nice & attentive. The Smørrebrød variation was really excellent. I would have loved to try all the variations. The Riesling was very tasty and went well with the meal. Definitely my first port of call as soon as I'm back in Kiel.

Excited again! The sea bass is a dream, with potato gratin and creamed savoy cabbage. The Smørrebrød is also an absolute recommendation.

In addition to the magnificent view, there is also delicious food and drinks. It's a good idea to share everything with each other so that you can try as much of everything as possible. The dessert was also very tasty. We will come back when we are there again.

Schmackofatz the name says it all here. All the dishes we ordered were super tasty and well thought out. This makes eating out fun. Home cooking 2.0 hearty, instead of making, warming. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was very open but still cozy.

We found the smørrebrød very tasty, the vegan dishes were not appropriate for the price. I had the Lensenköttbular with mushroom sauce and cranberries - the sauce tasted good, but the “Kötbullar” were very dry. The service was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, you couldn't really taste any mushrooms in the risotto with porcini mushrooms, and overall we weren't impressed with the taste for the price (€17/€19).

Im LAGOM erlebten wir einen rundum perfekten Abend. Schon beim Betreten wurden wir herzlich empfangen und in eine stilvolle, einladende Atmosphäre hineingezogen. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und sorgt für ein angenehmes Ambiente. Der Service war einfach herausragend – aufmerksam, freundlich und stets mit einem Lächeln. Das Essen war ein wahrer Gaumenschmaus: frisch, kreativ und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Jeder Biss war ein Genuss! LAGOM ist der ideale Ort für unvergessliche Momente. Hier gibt es wirklich nichts zu meckern – wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Very tasty Nordic food. Lots of fish variations. But there are also several delicacies for vegetarians here. It is advisable to book early and secure a view of the water. Recommendation variation of smørrebrøt and potato flan for vegetarians - twice already a direct hit

Fast friendly service. Access also via the hallway from which the kitchen leads. This restaurant has nothing to hide. Not an overloaded card, but exquisite and clearly structured. The side dishes can be chosen as desired and are charged separately, so nothing is wasted. If you just want the main dish without a side dish, that is of course also possible. The ambience is relatively spartan, not cheap but practical. We like it that way because it's the product that counts and not the plush chair, to put it that way. In short: tasty and good.

Sehr schmackhaftes vegetarisches Essen, ausgezeichnetes Personal

Essen und Service sehr gut, das hat halt seinen Preis. Schöner Blick auf die Kieler Förde. Gerne wieder...... Einziger Kritikpunkt, die Bässe der Musikanlage dröhnen dir manchmal, Lautstärkeunabhangig, im Ohr.

Sehr interessante und kreative Speise- und Getränkekarte, guter Service. Wer etwas Besonderes sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

Very well-kept restaurant with good cuisine. Food fresh and varied. Also vegan dishes. Something for everyone. Toilets clean. Service was friendly, quick and attentive. In summer the terrace with a view of the water is open. Reservation urgently necessary.

Very good service, delicious food, good drinks, relaxed atmosphere. Everyone will find something tasty here, regardless of whether they are a meat fan, fish eater or vegan. It doesn't matter whether you prefer down-to-earth, tried-and-tested classics in good quality or want to try out unusual combinations. You choose all the components of a meal separately and can therefore share everything with others and try it out. You can also easily adjust the portion size. We were there for dinner on New Year's Eve 2024 at 9 p.m. Excellent choice! A feel-good atmosphere right from the start, from the way we were greeted in a friendly manner, radiating calm, taking the time to recommend the additional daily specials...we felt comfortable and really welcome. Here the owner and head chef lend a hand. The food was very tasty, steak and sea bass and as a side dish fan I thought the concept of the choice of side dishes, which were then served in small bowls, was great!!! Price-performance ratio is right. Baked apple tiramisu also good. We were thrilled. Thank you for a completely successful evening!

Beilagen ausbaufähig in der Umsetzung. Sehr große Beilagenportion. Als Vorspeise sind die Brote sehr zu empfehlen. Die waren unserer Highlight des Abends. Nachspeisen waren auch gut. Vor allem Hauptgerichte ausbaufähig. Alles kommt in Saucen. Lieber separat dazu gehen.

Ein sehr gutes Ambiente, tolle Auswahl bei den Gerichten. Tolle aufgewecktes Personal. Ab wirklich sehr schöner Abend mit hervorragendem Essen und sehr lecken Getränken . Hier empfehle ich die Haus Limo.

Ausgesprochen pures und schmackhaftes Essen. Auch die Gäste aus Süddeutschland waren ausgesprochen zufrieden. Eine gute Auswahl und das Menu-Konzept hervorragend und gut zusammengestellt. Ich freu mich auf den nächsten Abend im LAGOM, es gibt noch einiges, was ich gerne probieren möchte.

Sehr leckeres Essen und freundliche Bedienung. Sehr kreative Kombinationen, für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Sehr schöner Ausbklick auf die Kieler Förde.

Everything was very good. We were served by a young lady with short black hair. A was an outstanding good service. Food was also great, had venison cheeks and duck, fried potatoes were great. Potato gratin is a bit bland for my personal taste. The kale salad was my highlight. The only drawback is a bit cold in the guest room. Definitely come back.

Vielen Dank für den aufmerksamen und freundlichen Service. Wir hatten eine gemischte Smorrebrodplatte als Vorspeise. Danach hätte ein Hauptgang mit Beilagen für 2 Personen gereicht. Alles war lecker, Qualität und Präsentation der Gerichte hat uns sehr gefallen. Auch die Weinempfehlung hat gepasst. Das hat natürlich seinen Preis, den wir aber gerne zahlen. Es war etwas laut, was zu Zeiten von Weihnachtsfeiern nicht ungewöhnlich ist. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr gute hochwerige Speisen. Ansprechend präsentiert und dazu eine sehr entspannte ungezwungene Atmosphäre mit einem tollen Ausblick über die Förde. Für private und geschäftliche Zusammenkünfte, sehr empfehlenswert!

We ate at the Lagom Restaurant from the Komba union. The food wasn't to my taste, even though the chefs put a lot of effort into it. The ambience and service were very good and that's why it deserves 4 stars overall.

Wir waren mal wieder im Lagom zum Abendessen und es war wieder sehr schön. Wir hatten Hirschbäckchen, Wildschweinrücken und diverse Beilagen. Der Wildschweinrücken hätte etwas zarter sein können. Ansonsten war alles wie gewohnt sehr geschmackvoll.

Absolut empfehlenswert! Von der Tischreservierung, vom herzlichen Empfang, dem ganzen Ambiente, dem absolut tollen Service, über das fantastische Essen (versucht die Smørebrød!!), die Einrichtung, den Kleinigkeiten (wie z.B. das Besteck) und die Drinks, bis zum Nachtisch und der Rechnung (gutes Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis) war einfach als perfekt!!

Der Geräuschpegel ist zu hoch. Die essensqualtität ist gut.

Tolles saisonales Essen in einer maritimen Atmosphäre

We have reserved a table in this house for one of our employees' 20th anniversary. This happened in October for 12/4/2024. Today, December 2nd, 2024, this table was canceled for me on the grounds that they have only been opening in the evening since November. Unfortunately, the reservation management in this hotel seems to be very poor. The employee's understanding was also rather reserved and even had an attitude that wasn't my problem. We will avoid this restaurant in the future as reliable planning is not possible.

Wie immer, aufmerksames Personal, schönes Ambiente und leckeres Essen. Ich nehme mir immer vor, mal etwas anderes zu probieren, lande aber immer wieder beim Smørrebrød, das wieder exellent war.

Absolutely big recommendation! As soon as I walked towards the restaurant and saw the many fairy lights from outside, I felt comfortable. Things only got better inside. The interior design is really beautiful and creates a cozy yet chic ambience. I received a very friendly welcome and the service was extremely friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Unfortunately, I have also experienced in other restaurants that as an individual you like to have a quick breakfast. Completely different here. The food was really delicious. Had the rack of lamb and bacon beans and rosemary potatoes. For dessert, the licorice duet. All highly recommended! In short: a successful evening in a great restaurant. Gladly again on the next visit to Kiel.

We celebrated our wedding at Lagom in June this year. Because of the great, open atmosphere right on the keel line with a view of the fjord, we quickly decided on the Lagom. But not only the ambience, but also the food and service were absolutely top notch: We were able to put together an individual buffet in which all special requests (allergies, intolerances, etc.) were taken into account. The service at our party was also great, everything was a success and the perfect day for us! A huge thank you again to Evelyn and her entire team!

Gemütlich, exklusiv, freundlich und einfach lecker! Preislich liegt man schnell mal bei 40€ p.P. aber es ist das Geld definitiv wert.

We were here with about 11 people and dined ala kart. The quality of the products is very good. I really enjoy eating out and can recommend this restaurant without hesitation. Now about the ambience. Personally, I like it a little more comfortable. Almost hyge. Great for tourists. Water view. Düddelkramm from the ship and some modern architecture. Prices are a bit high but very ok for the quality. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Drinks could have been there a little quicker and often one or two glasses could have been refilled quicker, but I think that's normal. Otherwise I'd be happy to come over

Very good cuisine with a good price-performance ratio. The ambience directly on the fjord underlines the special experience for the palate and eyes. The service is attentive and polite. There were three of us and everyone was happy. Fish, meat, vegetarian, dessert... everything was successful. Absolutely recommended!

The restaurant offers a fine dining experience. The dishes taste solid and demonstrate high quality and creativity in the kitchen. The service is also particularly noteworthy: the employees are attentive, friendly and always on hand without seeming intrusive. A major disadvantage, however, is the limited length of stay. Unfortunately, the visit is limited to two hours, which puts a small damper on the relaxed enjoyment. Especially when you have a good meal, you often want to take more time to fully enjoy the ambience and the dishes. Conclusion: Excellent food and great service, but the time limit could be an annoyance for some guests.

The concept is beautiful. The dishes are fresh and local. The side dishes - and they are highly recommended - come separately in small pots and can be shared. Unfortunately, the ambience is a bit noisy as the facility offers little soundproofing.

I asked the hotel for a good restaurant and was not disappointed. The walk there along the fjord is very beautiful. Even without a reservation, I still got a nice table (in the hall) by the window. The service is friendly and gave good advice. Everything probably tastes great - I was certainly very satisfied.

Sehr gute Qualität auch von der Temperierung her. Der Einzeltisch hätte etwas größer sein dürfen, es war schon etwas beengt und die Lautstärke war im noch gerade erträglichen Bereich. The atmosphere in the evening when you look outside and it's slowly getting dark. The fantastic food and the very nice and calm service. You could totally relax in the Lagom and indulge in the very tasty dishes. It's such a shame that the best restaurants are always the furthest away from home. The evening was really a poem.

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 6 Personen. Leider war der Tisch an der Eingangstür, die alle paar Minuten zum Betreten des Lokals geöffnet wurde. Meistens aber nicht wieder geschlossen, der Türschließer funktionierte auch nicht ganz einwandfrei, so dass meine Gäste immer im Durchzug saßen. Sehr unangenehm, da es draußen nur ca. 8 Grad bei Ostwind hatte. Beim nächsten Besuch würde ich explizit darauf hinweisen, dass ich keinen Tisch im Eingangsbereich reservieren würde. Für die Wintermonate sollte der Eingang dringend verschlossen bleiben und der Zugang nur von der Strasse "Düsternbrooker Weg" zugänglich sein.

The location is beautifully located on the fjord, the parking situation is rather mediocre and the location itself is somewhat reminiscent of a village community center... Service was okay, but in my opinion there is still a lot of room for improvement!

Really delicious food with a beautiful view of the fjord. A bit expensive, but justified by the quality. I just have no idea how to get to the parking lot by car, i.e. where the entrance is.

Wir haben zum Abend einen Tisch reserviert und einen sehr schönen Abend verbracht. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr schön, die Küche sogar einsehbar und das Personal freundlich und kompetent. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis sehr fair. Sollten wir noch mal nach Kiel kommen, sehen wir uns wieder!

Yesterday we spent one night in Kiel while passing through and spontaneously stumbled into the restaurant after a walk by the water: Super nicely decorated, mix of modern / Nordic / harbor. Comfortable chairs and super attentive and friendly service, especially our waiter with little hair and beard. Small but nice menu + selected daily menu. Everything was prepared super quickly and perfectly. We had a smørrebrød with char and seared tuna with fried potatoes. Both a pleasure! There are still cocktails, snacks and an extensive dessert menu, but unfortunately there was no more room for them ^^. Prices are more than reasonable for quality, service and portion size! (But not exactly cheap) We'll definitely be back!

Der weiterführende Teil wirkt eher wie eine Kantine und hat nicht den Charme und die Gemütlichkeit des Hauptraumes.

Perfektes Lunch Wir hatten an unserem Hochzeitstag Wolfsbarsch mit Linsengemüse bzw. Rumpsteak mit Krautsalat, dazu Mineralwasser, lokales Bier, Cappuccino, Espresso. Sehr angenehmer, engagierter Service, sehr gute Küche, angemessener Preis.
