I come from the North Sea and haven't eaten such good fish for a long time. The staff was very friendly and was able to give us good recommendations that would give us a better idea. If I could, I would come by more often. Luckily I was able to take fish home from the fish counter.👍

We ordered from the online shop last week. The shop is clear and well designed. The order went smoothly and the communication during the further processing was very good. The goods arrived carefully packaged and well cooled. We had Sockey Alaska wild salmon, salmon meatballs, smoked eel, shrimp skewers, herring and cocktail salad. And every single specialty was simply fantastic! Great quality - excellently crafted. We are absolutely thrilled and will definitely order again. As soon as our paths take us towards Wuppertal, we will visit the shop and restaurant in person. Must try the fried fish! 😉

After seeing the restaurant several times on TIK TOK, we went there today for my birthday. A very nice restaurant nice atmosphere. The staff is very nice. The food tasted very good and the fish was very fresh. Shopping in the store afterwards was very good. The nice man from TIK TOK served us very friendly and informed us well about the products. Everything looks so delicious and appetizing that you could try everything We will definitely come back from Herten, the trip was more than worth it

The first time I came to the Lachs Räucherei Wortberg through social media channels, so great job whoever runs the channels! I bought smoked halibut and salmon rolls at the fish counter and both were incredibly good. So we decided to test the restaurant and were unfortunately a bit disappointed. We love eating fish all over Germany and Wortberg only performed mediocre. Price performance is overrated here. We paid just under 50 euros for the 2 plates (3 kinds and fried fish). The fish was well prepared, the sauces were good, the fried potatoes were very bland and there was no side salad (why dear people: that would be a game changer!!!!) Staff was okay and the decor was very authentic. If there was even more love in the dishes, the portion sizes were more generous and the whole thing was more visually appealing, it might be worth the 5 stars. We'll try again in a few months/years.

We found out about the atmosphere through Tik Tok. Since I'm passionate about eating fish, I wanted to test it. The first thing you notice is that there is ZERO smell of fish, which speaks for fresh produce. You can smell your own smokehouse. The lady at the counter was extremely friendly and gave us very competent advice. We took a small selection with us. The prices are fair and not overpriced. I'll test the taste at home

Full of anticipation for my birthday meal, I reserved a table there. My husband and I like to eat fish. And judging by the recessions, things are supposed to be particularly good there. Unfortunately, this is more of an overpriced snack bar. The service almost didn't take place at all. Then I don't understand why there is a distinction between sushi and fish. And offers different services. My husband's order came with the wrong sauce. Afterwards the fried potatoes were cold. In my case, the fish was in a "marinade" that was more like a fish seasoning and was also burned by grilling or frying and became bitter and spicy. The chef offered me something else. But I wasn't informed that it would be more expensive. Then came the bill. We don't talk much about the prawns that we ordered separately and then didn't serve when we changed the order and only came when we asked. But after that nothing came, no service, no questions. Finally, you pay at the checkout. But then this isn't a restaurant. The quality of the fish was ok. It's a shame that the day didn't end so well. And I left this restaurant rather disappointed on my birthday.

Very tasty fish offerings, friendly service and reasonable prices

Yesterday we went to the Lachs-Räucherei-Wortberg for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the products and the delicious preparation. We have rarely been able to try such a high-quality selection of fish and sushi in the area. The service was extremely attentive and courteous, the prices are extremely justified if not too low for the quality and performance of the team. Overall, the restaurant is highly recommended and we are really looking forward to our next visit!

I can only recommend the Wortberg smokehouse unconditionally. The selection of fish and seafood is exceptionally large, everything tastes excellent and the service and friendliness leave nothing to be desired.

Actually we just wanted to have a quick bite of fish, it was so delicious and then we went to the adjacent shop. We were surprised by the selection and quality of fresh and smoked fish and the great salads. We left the store with full pockets 😉👌🏽

Taste reale good and the Service was amazing

Were here for the first time today and I have to say that I have never been so enthusiastic about a restaurant. The staff is very friendly, humorous and accommodating. The food was also really tasty. We can highly recommend all three dishes (kibbling, fried fish and the grill pan). We were there shortly before 1 p.m., actually wanted to leave an hour later and suddenly it was 5 p.m. The jazz band, Leiden John's Jazz Band was also very well chosen for entertainment. (Before or after visiting ikea, try something other than eating there 🤭) Definitely worth a visit!

The quality and selection are like the price: high. Every bite is a pleasure, craftsmanship brought to the fish, er table. Our stock was vacuum packed as requested. We immediately enjoyed a pretzel corner with salmon boulette to bridge the waiting time - without words, simply delicious.

Good and high quality selection. Unfortunately the service was terribly bad. We were constantly forgotten outside (3 times in a single visit!) even though there was only a mediocre number of guests and tables were not cleared. One of two salmon baguettes ordered came without sauce. I was assured that they would be delivered quickly, which of course was forgotten. After I ate the baguette without sauce, of course no one came to collect it, so we went to the cash register again. Seriously - you offer good quality food and manage to ruin the positive impression with the miserable service staff. There really is an urgent need for training and/or replacement.

Went to the Essen restaurant for the first time today (May 10, 2024). We were very satisfied all around. Staff very friendly and competent. Everything was explained again when we left. We will come back, no question.

I received a voucher for my birthday. I always drove past there but never went in because it never rose. I was very positively surprised. The food was very good. The selection too. The prices are reasonable for the portions. The service was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely come back.

We wanted to inquire about our reserved table and were initially attacked as to whether it was sushi or normal fish. So decide immediately. We decided on "normal" fish. There was a great service person at this counter. He calmly explained the process, our selected fish dishes and the white wine I had chosen. Top!!!! Thank you very much. We then ordered a Duckstein and a white wine at the counter. We had to take the drinks and cutlery with us to the table ourselves. My husband ordered a sashimi tuna burger with black seaweed salad, North Sea crabs and mild wasabi dip with sweet potato fries and I ordered grilled (unbreaded) calamari rings with baguette, garlic dip and a salad. The food was brought to the table. Super super tasty. Top fried. Just perfect.!!!!!!! I only give it four stars because the service at the table was lacking. We decided not to have another drink because we would have had to go back to the bar. It's also a shame that you had to immediately choose between sushi and normal fish. The starters on the sushi menu that were displayed at the table were very appealing. Our conclusion: We would love to come back to eat delicious fish - but we are now aware that the coziness of a restaurant with table service is missing.

We always ate sushi here, but this time we wanted to eat fish at Wortberg. We weren't disappointed. The dishes we ordered were very tasty and also sufficient. This is bold and certainly cannot be justified by outstanding quality, as they tend to have the appearance of baked goods. But we are also talking about a fish shop and not a bakery (they are also sufficient as a side dish with a salad). Because of this blatant price increase, my friend gave up the baguettes. If the salad hadn't already been packaged, he would have left it alone. However, he won't set foot in this store again, he's so upset.

Just had dinner there. Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated greatly. But it has become outrageously expensive. That was the last time for us.

The food was good, although it wasn't quite warm anymore. We constantly have to wave at service staff. Very loud, although not completely full. Chairs not comfortable (we sat 'upstairs'). Don't wear fine clothes...everything smelled like old oil afterwards. Parking spaces are available, but not sufficient.

Very tasty fish and the staff is always super friendly!!! People like to eat there and then take some fish with them.

After a long time, I visited the Wortberg salmon smokehouse again and was pleasantly surprised: they now share the location with Sakura Sushi, a combination that harmonizes perfectly. It's bad when you pay €14.90 for a piece of salmon lasagna the size of a sheet cake. Made warm in the microwave, tasteless, overcooked. Fried fish, with fries, portion very manageable, it was hot, nothing more, for €16.90 It's bad when you get ripped off like that. Only the service was nice and accommodating, I'm happy to forego everything else. Never again!

The service staff was very friendly, orders were taken quickly and arrived quickly, even though it was very busy on a Saturday evening. Both dishes were perfectly prepared and delicious. Except on holiday by the sea, we have never eaten such good fish. 5 stars are not enough here, we give 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ extra. The service and operation were perfect. Attentive, personal and not intrusive. We will definitely come back and recommend it to others.

After a while we visited the Wortberg restaurant again. The positive thing is the service now at the table and not the ordering at the counter like before. Noticed negatively but that is my personal impression that the prices have been raised again and again. It has become very expensive!! Unfortunately my fried potatoes were not cross fried. Way too soft. Part of the other dish was forgotten. After the complaint, the fried potatoes and the squid strips were freshly prepared. Nevertheless, the quality of the food is good but not in proportion to the price.

I reserved a table by phone for my husband's birthday. When we arrived there was no reservation. We should just choose a free table. The drinks were taken quickly, but after asking several times, the food was only taken after 45 minutes. Supposedly 3 game fish, garnished with 5 half triplets, a very small side salad. The announced mustard sauce was tartar sauce. The price-performance ratio is underground. I wouldn't want to eat there anymore.

I had pre-ordered for Christmas. 1. Easy pre-order 2. Absolutely smooth process 3. Top quality! It was just delicious. I highly recommend it. I will only order from you for Christmas and if it fits for other festivities too. At some point I'll try to eat there too.

Freundliche und flotte Bedienung. Sowohl das Sushi als auch die Fischgerichte sind sehr lecker. Wir hatten Lachslasagne und Thunfischgyros.Ist zu empfehlen aber etwas höher preisig.

Wir kaufen regelmäßig geräucherten Fisch. Um die Weihnachtszeit ist es morgens schon ziemlich voll, da lohnt es sich, die ganz frühen Öffnungszeiten zu nutzen. Personal immer freundlich und beratend. Immer wieder gerne.

Leider haben wir die Lachseäucherei und Sakuri-Sushi erst vor zwei Jahren kennengelernt. Seitdem gibt es bei uns Fisch und Sushi nur noch von dort. Das ist uns die Fahrstrecke von 55 km (hin und zurück) wert. Egal ob im Außerhaus-Verkauf oder beim dort essen, die Qualität ist immer top. Ich liebe rohen Thunfisch und Lachs, hier ist es echte Sushi-Qualität. Der Heilbutt oder auch andere Seefische und der mild geräucherte Saibling sind qin Genuss. Aber auch frische Matjes und Salate sind sehr lecker und immer frisch zubereitet. Das Team berät und lässt einem bei der Auswahl Zeit. Besser geht es nicht. Dafür herzlichen Dank.

Ich habe einige schöne Fische hier gekauft. Die geräucherte Lachsforelle und die geräucherte Makrele haben uns allen sehr geschmeckt. Der Rauch kam natürlich bei der fettigeren Makrele mehr durch. Meine Frau fand den Asia-Flusskrebs-Salat toll. Ich hab nichts davon abbekommen. Den Service kann ich nicht beurteilen, weil och nur den Verkaufsladen besucht habe.

Das Essen ist ok, aber der Service und die Trennung von Sushi und warmen Fischgerichten ist eine Katastrophe, vor allem wenn man GEMEINSAM essen will. Als Gast versucht man dann mit den Gegebenheiten klar zu kommen und auch mitzuhelfen, leider vergebene Liebesmüh. Entschuldigung: Fehlanzeige. Lösung des Problems: Fehlanzeige. Wiedergutmachung: Fehlanzeige. Insgesamt: Essen drei Sterne, Service ein Stern. Mit wohlwollen.

Sehr gute Fischgerichte und immer wieder ein Genus! Mittwochs gibt es hier eine top Bouillabaisse, mein absoluter Geheimtip. Für Fernreisende gibt es hier auch ein Hotel. ⚓️ anlegen, festmachen und lecker Fisch essen.

Leider wurde der Service umgestellt und funktioniert noch nicht wirklich, weil wir über eine halbe Stunde warten mussten bis die Bedienung sich zu uns bemühte. Dann wurde die ein zu kleines Bier gebracht... Als dann endlich das Rotbarschfilet serviert wurde war es schon fast kalt.

Sind heute dort gewesen, es hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Die verschiedenen Fischgerichte waren sehr schön angerichtet, es ging sehr schnell und unkompliziert. Sehr freundliches und verbindliches Personal, wir kommen gerne wieder und freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch.

Das Essen war vorzüglich! Sehr lecker und die Optik hat es noch leckerer gemacht. Der Service war sehr gut und ich habe auch schnell mein bestelltes Essen bekommen. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und mich hat besonders beeindruckt das man die Autos auf der Hauptstraße kein bisschen hört, somit konnte man hier sehr entspannt essen!

Wir haben Fisch gegessen. Rotbarschfilet ca. knapp 200g mit Salzkartoffeln aus dem Glas und einer leckeren Remolade. Fisch sehr lecker. Restaurant mittags sehr voll. Getränke werden am Tisch vom Team Sushi aufgenommen. Auch extra bezahlt. Essen wird vom Team Service übernommen und auch extra bezahlt. Schon sehr komisch. Preis Leistung sehr fragwürdig.

Spontaner Einkauf in Wuppertal, Freunde kommen unangemeldet und wir brauchen Fisch...., leckere Köstlichkeiten aus der Frischetheke, Muschel Fangfrisch WOW, geräuchter Lachs MEGA, Austern noch besser und zuletzt diverse Salate einfach ein Genuss, die Fahrt aus Hilden hat sich wiedermal gelohnt. Waren zum Abendessen vor Ort ,Bestellung klappte erst nach einer dreiviertel Stunde.Vorher mehrmals die Bedienung angesprochen welche jedesmal sagte das sie einen Kollegen schickt.Nach Aufnahme der Bestellung kamen 30 min.später die Getränke und die Vorspeise.Nach weiteren 40 min.fragten wir nach,ob man uns vergessen hat und das wir jetzt das bisher verzehrte bezahlen möchten und nicht noch länger bleiben möchten. Daraufhin ging die Bedienung und kam innerhalb einer Minute mit dem Essen.Das Lokal war normal gut besucht.Essen war lecker aber wir werden niemals wieder vor Ort Essen. Beim Sushi bisher niemals Probleme mit der Bedienung gehabt. Service gleich null und die Begründung/Ausreden der Bedienung waren auch nicht nötig. Arbeitet an eurem Service mit der Bestellung am Tisch ,so verschreckt das nur die Kunden.

Wir waren zum Essen im Restaurant. Die Bestellung erfolgte erst nach 30 Minuten. Getränke erhielten wir nach 40 Minuten. Die Suppe nach einer Stunde. Die Hauptspeise nach knapp 2 Stunden. Wir wollten nur gemütlich Essen gehen, das war leider nicht möglich. Wenn an dem Konzept nichts verändert wird, sollte man die Bedienung am Tisch nicht durchführen, das verschreckt nur die Kunden.

Ich war bis heute einmal wöchentlich dort essen...aber habe mich grad entschieden dort nicht mehr hinzugehen...zum 3.mal ( nicht hintereinander sondern imnerhalb der letzten Monate) ist mir der Fisch lau..fast kalt serviert worden..so macht mir essen keinen Spass.. ich habe mich nicht beschwert, wahrscheinlich hätte das Lokal nachgebessert..

Wir waren heute das erste mal dort und wurden sofort vom freundlichen Kellner begrüßt. Das Essen war einfach ein Traum was Geschmack und Auswahl anging. Wir sind super begeistert! Wirklich empfehlenswert wer geschmacklich auf seine Kosten kommen möchte 😊

Hauptgericht sehr sehr Lecker. Bedienung sehr freundlich, aber sehr selten zu sehen. Nachtisch , falsche Info von der Bedienung, weiße Mousse bestellt, Erdbeer Joghurt bekommen. cafe crema bestellt, Filter Kaffee bekommen. Warte jetzt, damit Ich zahlen kann.

Unsere Lieblingsadresse für den Genuss. verschiedener Fischspezialitäten und. Sushi. Mein spezieller Tipp ist die Bouillabaisse, die es aber nicht jeden Tag gibt. Auch der Tintenfisch vom Grill ist super! Ein eingeshränkter Service mit Bestellung an der Theke und die sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiter servieren am Tisch. Von uns eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung 👍👍👍

Ziemlich leckeres Fisch Restaurant Meiner Meinung nach das beste in der Region…werde definitiv immer wieder kommen. Es war sehr sehr lecker. Service top Qualität hervorragend. Ambiente gemütlich. Speisen auch zum mitnehmen. Tisch reservieren ist von Vorteil da sehr voll. Sushi sehr sehr lecker allerdings mit Wartezeit.

Das Essen ist wirklich super aber die Preise sind etwas teurer.

Es hat uns hier ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Sehr gute Fisch und Sushi- Auswahl. Man sitzt gut. Preis-Leistung ist in Ordnung.

Auf der Karte ist ein Foto von Tempura (Nr.1) das völlig anders aussieht als es serviert wurde. Das zweite Foto zeigt die andere Version! Auf Rückfrage sagt der Kellner er kann nichts machen, der Chef ist nicht da. Meine Miso Suppe war nur warmes Wasser ohne Algen und Tofu.

Zwei mal Backfisch kosten mit 2 Getränken 45 Euro. Kriegt man auf jeder Kirmes besser für angemessene 15 Euro.

hervorragender Fisch! Egal, ob man sich was mitnimmt oder dort isst, das Essen ist ein echtes Highlight! Auch mit dem direkt angeschlossenen Sushi Restaurant (und hier gibt es Sushi von Weltklasse!) eine tolle Kombination! Ich gehe hier regelmäßig einkaufen...
