By far the best Asian restaurant in Schöneberg, or perhaps even in all of Berlin! 10/10

Nice little restaurant with kind service and good food.

Food is quite ok We were surprised that we had to pay 8 euros for large bottle of water :)

Unfortunately, I have to sadly note that the quality and taste have been declining for several months. Unfortunately. I've been a regular customer at Lac Viet for a long time, but after yesterday's visit, I won't be going back. The portions are now significantly smaller, they skimp on the cilantro, and the quality leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered egg fried rice – the rice was completely white and unseasoned, the egg sat on top like a fried egg, and the vegetables (soybeans, zucchini, etc.) were practically raw. The shrimp left me more unsettled than pleased. My partner ordered a noodle dish, which was also completely tasteless – simple ribbon noodles with no sauce or seasoning, and a bit of salad with no dressing on the side. We got the food extremely quickly, but that probably explains the lackluster dishes. It's a real shame; I've always enjoyed coming here, but I can't recommend the restaurant anymore.

Tastes delicious. Good lunch options, both vegetarian and meat. Friendly service, and everything is prepared quickly.

I've rarely experienced anything as perfect as it is here. The staff is friendly, quick, courteous, and yet completely professional. As other reviewers have already written: Everything we've had so far, even in larger groups, has always been perfectly prepared and simply delicious. And last but not least: The prices are super affordable; the price/performance ratio is absolutely spot on. The service and quality are so good that we would still come back if it were more expensive.

It depends on luck. I came here twice before and it was good. This time, the mango shake obviously has less mango and the price has increased. The beef soup is not fresh. 😑 I have to remove it from my favorite list. The waiter is very enthusiastic

Friendly service, accepts cards for payment We went here without reservation before the public holiday night at 9pm and was quite empty. Thankfully they were open and receiving orders. We got the glass rice flat noodle with chicken and the egg noodles with chicken and they were both super delicious although quite oily. Portion size worthy of price We also got chicken skewers which are too small (portion wise) and was ok for two people but tiny bits of chicken on the stick. It was pretty sweet and sticky. I also got their peppermint tea which was very comforting and refreshing. Recommended and will come back!

Unfortunately, it's only half as good as it was before the change of tenant... the whistle that Lac Viet has made for years is simply missing... very, very, very unfortunate. Was one of the best Vietnamese in Berlin. Does anyone know where the old chef went?

I had a decent Bun here with spring rolls which is hard to find in Berlin. I hate when Bun is missing the mint. There was plenty in my bowl which made me happy. I sat outside on a rather unpleasant patio on a very busy street. Service was unpleasant as well.

Yes... there is a new tenant and the old Lac Viet is unfortunately no longer there. Nevertheless, the food wasn't a disaster like some people write in the reviews here. Giving only 1 star here is more than unnecessary.

Wir kamen lange zu Lac Viet, weil es bei uns um die Ecke liegt. Leider war das Essen, auf das wir uns gefreut hatten, gestern gar nicht gut. Statt eines duftigen Gemüsecurrys bekamen wir etwas, das nicht mehr nach unserem Lieblingsessen schmeckte. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns gesagt, dass die Kokosmilch-Sauce mit Sahne gemacht wird. Auch andere Gäste ließen ihr Essen halbfertig zurückgehen. Gleichwohl wird noch mit den Bildern und Bewertungen des alten Lac Viet Werbung gemacht. Sehr schade!!!

A LOVING OASIS… ...back in my days when I was still in Berlin. Perfectly located (bus M48 / Kaiserreich stop). Discovered by one of my best friends a few years ago, this family-run, owner-managed small restaurant has established itself as one of the places I really enjoy being at. A real favorite place for me personally. Price and performance more than pleasant. The food was extremely excellent. I also drive all over Berlin for this. I look forward to seeing you again.

Very tasty food and friendly staff. Recommended are the fried wonton, No. 35 fried rice noodle with beef, No. 60 Pho and No. 70 rice noodle with fried pieces of meat.

Very tastefully prepared and attractively presented dishes, an appealing price-performance ratio, always VERY friendly staff and delicious non-alcoholic cocktails or Saigon beer - we like all of this again and again and have been for a long time at the small family-run North Vietnamese restaurant on Rheinstr. 50. Always happy; we have never been disappointed!

We have been regular guests here for years with the lovely Vietnamese family, the dishes were without exception fresh and deliciously prepared. The way from Nikolassee to Lac Viet wasn't too far for us because it was just so good.!!! Now with the new tenants, it's no longer worth it for us in terms of taste and quality. Unfortunately we can no longer recommend it.

I rarely rate things, but I have to give my two cents. The shop is by far one of the best Asian restaurants in Steglitz! Very friendly, fast and tasty. To one of the comments here: I was there on the day in question when the gentleman came into the store again to complain. Absolutely disrespectful, the way the shop owner was spoken to, the way the gentleman treated her and the entire behavior - just embarrassing. The owner told us that he had been there for the third time that day to demand the money back. I am at a loss for words. Just go to work or take care of more important things. Have a nice day! 😊

Unfortunately, things haven't been going well since the restaurant was sold. Significantly reduced quality, unfriendly service and no longer the service that one was used to. The food turned out really bad. Unfortunately.

the magic is gone… The quality of the food has seriously deteriorated. The new owners are making false savings.

Glutamate, gelatin, canned carrots, a velker salad... Unappetizing, oversalted, overcooked. Absolutely not recommended. Lac Viet is no longer THE favorite Vietnamese place it used to be since the new operators came along. We used to wait in line for 40 minutes to eat there. Today the restaurant is empty at peak times. That says it all. The drinks taste good though.

Disappointing experience - quality has deteriorated significantly I was very disappointed with my last visit to this restaurant. Formerly known as "Lac Viet", I was amazed by the quality of the dishes back then. Unfortunately, this has changed completely under the new tenants. The menu 35 we ordered was an absolute failure: nothing was fresh or healthy. The dish came with a thick, fatty sauce, the meat was surrounded by an unappetizing layer of fat and everything was way too salty. Fresh vegetables? None. Even the salad wasn't fresh, which is really disappointing for an Asian restaurant. In addition, there is no way to get the money back if the food doesn't taste good. You have to pay directly in cash and decide for yourself whether you find the food acceptable - refunds are excluded. It seems as if the new tenants are only looking for quick profits without placing any value on quality. It's a shame that a once great restaurant was so disfigured. Unfortunately I can't recommend anyone to eat here.

Once the best healthy Vietnamese restaurant in all of Berlin, today... well... The new owners (after what feels like three in the last 1.5 years) cook poorly, use a lot of flavor enhancers, and are unfriendly and rude.

What authentic cuisine! Tastefully, freshly and lovingly prepared, an exciting culinary journey awaits you. The cocktails are delicious, you should definitely try them: Mango Fridge and the Vodka Mojito. We are very excited... All the employees are very friendly and attentive, both the food and the bill are presented with a charming and open smile. Cleanliness is also very important here, there is disinfectant on every table. The toilets are a bit dated but clean. The accessibility is great and the prices are totally reasonable and good. The portions are very generous. Definitely worth a visit!

Op weg terug naar huis, Amsterdam, omgereden voor deze plek om er nog een laatste x Vietnamees te eten tijdens onze vakantie in Berlijn. Kleine tent, geen poespas, authentieke inrichting, verrukkelijk eten, vriendelijke bediening. Veel te laat maar gelukkig reden we daarna terug naar huis.

I was in this restaurant yesterday afternoon and loved it. I have never tasted such delicious coconut milk soup! Highly recommended! The restaurant is a bit small, but very familiar and the staff was super nice!

Mein Lieblingsrestaurant, wenn es um vietnamesisches Essen geht! Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und sehr liebe Mitarbeiter. Ich vertrage einige Sachen nicht so gut, aber die Küche nimmt immer Rücksicht darauf, wenn es um Extrawünsche geht. Gönne mir immer das Reiscurry oder die gebratenen Eierreisnudeln, wenn ich dort bin. Außerdem gibt es beim Zahlen immer noch Gummibärchen oder Schokolade dazu (sofern es gerade nicht alle ist..) Sehr empfehlenswert :)

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - mit viel Gemüse und leckeren Kräutern. Die Inhaberin ist sooo nett und freut sich auf uns als Stammgäste sehr. Das Restaurant ist eher einfach in der Innenausstattung - aber kein Problem, da es für schnelle und umkomplizierte Familienessen sehr gut geeignet ist. (oder wenn man gerade mal wieder keine Lust hat zu kochen..) Auch Sonderwünsche werden gerne umgesetzt. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Tolles Mittagsmenue für wenig Geld. Sehr freundlicher Service. Man kann bei guten Wetter draussen sitzen. Wir kommen wieder.

Hab Instand Nudeln Suppe für 8 Euro bekommen, auch die Brühe war aus einem Gewürz packet…

war lecker. Bei meiner Pho Suppe gab es keine Chili und Limette dazu, aber auf Nachfrage wurde es nachgereicht. Gestört hat mich nur, dass man nicht mit Karte zahlen konnte. Bei meinem Besuch vor einigen Monaten war dies aber noch möglich.

Mała knajpka ale bardzo smaczne jedzenie i bardzo miła obsługa polecam zupkę wan tan małą i warzywa z woka z kaczuszką pycha.

Miejsce ukryte, ponieważ markiza zasłania nazwę restauracji. Przyszliśmy tutaj kierując się opiniami innych i rzeczywiście warto odwiedzić to miejsce. Polecam pierożki wan tan na chrupko - coś zupełnie innego, nieznane praktycznie w Polsce, ale są pyszne w tej postaci. Polecam też Spring Rolls ze świeżymi warzywami i krewetkami - przypominają raczej wrapy które należy umoczyć w sosie i nie tniemy ich przypadkiem. Oczywiście trzeba spróbować zupy Pho z wołowiną. Inny klasyk to zupa z pierożkami wan tan czy kaczka na chrupko. Wszystko świeżo przygotowane i pyszne. Sosy podane osobno aby każdy mógł sobie dostosować poziom ostrości wg swojego gustu. Polecam

Aussergewöhnlich lecker. Ich hatte gebratene Reisnudeln mit Tofu und Ei. Mit etwas Minze, Koriander, Pak Choi und Gurke. Wir kommen wieder.

This restaurant is a great find for me. The taste of the food was excellent. Authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Berlin. I had Lotus stem salad and Red curry with rice. The steal deal was Banana dessert balls. What a find this dessert was. Also, the portion of the food per fish was good unlike many restaurants you will not need another fish to feel full. The menu of the place doesn’t have many vegan options but the chef can make most of the dishes vegan. Drawback is the limited sitting area inside but on a bright day they have tables outside too. I would recommend this place if you are looking for an authentic taste.

Die koreanische Kokoscreme ist hier feiner als das berühmte Panna Cotta beim Italiener, ein absolutes MUSS❣️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏻‍♂️
