Top restaurant... lovely owners... clear like all Calabrian establishments... excellent food... excellent people, what more could you want?

We happened upon it by chance and had such a great time. The food and service were excellent. We'll be back at the next opportunity.

I can't rate the food, unfortunately we didn't get a chance. We drove the extra 30 minutes to eat there (it was recommended). Google said it was open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and there was a big sign outside the door saying it was open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There were four other people outside the restaurant besides us who wanted to eat there. Sorry, but things can go wrong with Google, but if it says "open" right outside the door, that's not possible. We won't be going there again.

Excellent pizza and delicious salads. Highly recommended!

I recently visited the restaurant with friends. Nice ambiance, friendly and attentive service, and good food. Unfortunately, as is the case with many restaurants these days, it's consistently too expensive. A pizza for just under €16 and pasta for almost €25 is simply too much, no matter what's on it or in it. Moreover, the pasta portion was much too small. At some point, guests will no longer accept this.

Good Italian cuisine and excellent service.

Everything was truly delicious and fantastic. The chef and all the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. It was actually perfect all around and easily deserved 5 stars. But then came the moment when we had to use the restroom, and it wasn't nice. Everything was very dirty. The walls, hinges, toilet—everything. On top of that, there was a very unpleasant smell. The men's restroom didn't seem to be any better. Unfortunately, this made us doubt the cleanliness of the kitchen. We would have loved to come back, but because of this, there won't be another visit.

We had a very good meal: 2 fish meals with potatoes and vegetables. The vegetables were fresh, not frozen.

Overall, it was okay (service, food). However, it was quite loud, and €9 is way too much for this chocolate soufflé. It was small, the batter was too dry, and the chocolate center was much too small.

Always recommended, it's also worth asking about dishes that aren't on the menu.

I ate a delicious pizza here, and the pleasant atmosphere and friendly Italian hospitality made it a wonderful evening...

The staff is super nice. I have a lot of allergies, and they were accommodating. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and when it came, it had lettuce and chicken - and nothing else…not even dressing / olive oil - vinaigrette - nothing. The price for this was $23 Euros!! I was shocked at this price. Nice atmosphere and I got to practice my Italian.

This is our fourth time there for dinner. Typical Italian style, friendliness, and quality food and drinks.

Super friendly Italian hospitality, super delicious, highly recommended

The food was simply delicious. Absolutely fantastic value for money. There was even a wide selection of vegan dishes. The ambiance was generally nice (outside), and the service from the younger staff was excellent. Now comes the "but" part. The owner of this restaurant has an incredible temper. He was loud and pushy. He needed a lot of contact and had a strong need to communicate and move. You weren't left alone for a minute. He was constantly asking if everything was okay and if you wanted to kiss him. After repeatedly replying that I didn't want to kiss him, he started "whining" and repeatedly insisting, "Just a little 'please.'" It was unbearable. I had hoped for a nice, quiet evening to say goodbye to my girlfriend.

Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy everything in the restaurant as planned because we were traveling from far away and were stuck in traffic. The starter was delicious, but we had to take the pizza with us because we had an appointment at 7 p.m. However, we were able to fully enjoy the pizza later in the evening. We'll definitely be back, but we'll make time for it. The staff is very friendly; it would be nice to have a pizzeria like this nearby.

Obwohl wir etwas knapp dran waren für das Mittagessen, hat uns der Wirt persönlich an einen schönen Tisch geführt. Das Essen war sehr gut. Der Salat frisch, die Hauptmahlzeit wurde heiss serviert, das Tiramisu empfehlenswert luftig und lecker. Wein und Grappa von sehr guter Qualität. Although we were a little short on lunch, the innkeeper personally showed us to a nice table. The food was very good. The salad was fresh, the main meal was served hot, and the tiramisu was recommended as light and tasty. Wine and grappa of very good quality. The staff is friendly, the restaurant and ambience are pleasant. From a culinary point of view it may be okay, but it doesn't live up to my expectations of a good Italian restaurant. For me, the pizza has more of a “song service” character. So the price/performance ratio doesn’t fit.

When I go to La Volpe, I feel like I'm in Italy. Hospitality like this only exists in Italy. The food is always an absolute blast. I really enjoy going to La Volpe. The pictures are from a 4 course menu.

I ordered 6 antipasti plates for my 25th company anniversary. The plates were ready very early in the morning on the agreed date and the chef packed them up perfectly ready for transport to Frankfurt. The antipasti was delicious, with carpacco, bruscetta, melon, fried vegetables, vitello tonato, rocket, etc. The bread homemade by the restaurant was also fresh and delicious. The plates were well received by the guests at the party. Everything tasted great! Many thanks to the whole team! It's nice that the beautiful terrace will be open again in 2025.

Ich habe mir für mein 25. Firmenjubiläum 6 Antipasti-Platten bestellt. Die Platten waren superpünktlich früh morgens zum vereinbarten Termin fertig und wurde vom Koch hervorragend transportfertig für die Fahrt nach Frankfurt eingepackt. Die Antipasti war superlecker, mit Carpacco, Bruscetta, Melone, gebratenem Gemüse, vitello tonato, Rucola usw. Auch das vom Restaurant selbstgebackene Brot war frisch und superlecker. Auf der Feier sind die Platten bei den Gästen super angekommen. Es hat alles spitzenmäßig geschmeckt! Vielen Dank an das ganze Team! Schön, dass 2025 auch wieder die schöne Terasse geöffnet sein wird.

We were hotel guests in the hotel above the restaurant and went to Da Massimo twice for breakfast and once for dinner. We were completely satisfied. We have never had Italian food so good. The entire staff is also interested in the guest's well-being and is very child-friendly. If we are in Bad Schwalbach again, we will definitely come back.

We had dinner with 4 adults and 3 children. Very nice staff. You felt like you were welcomed into the family. The food was very good for everyone. Price-performance ratio very good. THANK YOU We will definitely eat there again.

As part of a company event, a variety of delicacies were served - a starter platter with grilled vegetables to vitello tonnato, saltimbocca and other delicious main dishes, tiramisu and panna cotto... (classic Italian cuisine at a high level). One regretted not having a larger stomach because everything was delicious. The service was also attentive and warm. I will definitely come back.

Multi-course menu, simply wonderful. :-) Again we received great advice... just great! My husband turned 60 and we celebrated wonderfully there. A delight for the palate and the eye. We have been there many times and it has never been a disappointment. Neither from the food, not from the host nor from the staff.... The food is incredibly delicious, we always enjoy it, just like in Italy!!!! We look forward to the next visit, even if we just go out for kicker pizza :-)))

Everyone is allowed to have a wedding celebration, but not in a residential area or wall to wall with residential buildings - until 2 a.m.!!! (especially if you have to get up at 5).. There is a more suitable location where the tenant could have celebrated.. the later it got, the louder, the walls vibrated, the music could be heard 1 km away. (And she wasn't even good).An advance warning or compensation would have been nice. GsD the police put an end to it. Thanks for the deprived night's sleep..

We just visited Massimo and his wonderful team for the first time! Are you looking for a “classic” Italian, complete with personal anecdotes, loving hospitality and excellent food? Then let's go there! The house-style pork fillet, as well as the tagliatelle with duck and the rump steak were excellent. It was crowned with a dessert recommendation from the head of the house, Tartufo Bianco con... (I forgot) on espresso anyway. Great. We will try to come again this holiday and otherwise we will come back next year! So great and honest!! We were hardly ever treated warmly in Germany. Thanks! P.S. As far as we could tell, everything, including all the vegetables and tartufo, was home-made and nothing was frozen. We would give it 6 out of 5 stars if we could.

Very nice restaurant in Bad Schwalbach. Unfortunately there is no terrace, but there is nothing you can do about it (except maybe remove the sign at the entrance) The food was very tasty. We had the mixed starter platter and a salad. Unfortunately, the dressing was very mayonnaise-heavy, but that's a matter of taste. The prices are more than okay! A big plus for the hospitality and attentiveness of all the employees. We felt very comfortable!

Massimo is a real original, likeable, funny guy. The restaurant is run by the family and you can tell that it is run with passion. Absolutely authentic, no wishes were left unfulfilled, something like this is now very rare. The food there is wonderful and of the best quality, I say that as a chef with a love of Italian cuisine.

We were given a table in the middle of the aisle. You could hear what the waitresses were saying the whole time. The bruschetta was absolutely not original, it was a variation and totally over salted. I had the grilled sea bream, my companion had tagliatelle with salmon sauce. Mine was too salty and the noodles were bland. The fish was carelessly served in front of us and the waitress literally threw the cutlery onto the plates. You couldn't relax then. As I said, we sat in the middle of the aisle, even though everything was still free when we arrived. The restaurant has just opened there. So someone was walking around us the whole time and we couldn't relax. The whole time you have the feeling that someone is about to bump into your chair. The next few days we were at Da Nunzio. A difference like night and day and at the same price.

Anyone who knows anything about good food knows how bad this food is. The quality of the ingredients is poor, the preparation is careless and the atmosphere is more for guests over 60... Service tries to come across as "sympathetic", but it's a total hit with the older guests but otherwise rather annoying.

We are from Mainz and we will be back!!! An exceptional Italian restaurant that unfortunately no longer exists today! Stay as you are!!!

We visited Massimo in November '23! Cuisine, service and of course the atmosphere was first class! Restaurant looks very well maintained, we had a very nice evening and a lot of fun! Also ask about the “Daily Specials”, it’s worth it! Of course, the grappa shouldn't be missed at the end! PS: We come from Florida, USA and will come back next time we visit Germany!
