La Taverna Del Mare in Prerow

A superb Italian restaurant, just as good as it was a year ago. A family business, everything runs smoothly. Highly recommended pasta, very flavorful sauces. Today I had it with porcini mushrooms and strips of beef, which was absolutely delicious. The zander with vegetables was also excellent. We'll be back.

I was unfortunately very disappointed. As a single guest, I was seated in the farthest corner of the restaurant, despite having made a reservation. The pumpkin cream soup had hardly any flavor, and in the main course (paccheri with porcini mushrooms and strips of beef), you practically had to hunt for the strips of beef. There was no time between the appetizer and the main course; everything came one after the other far too quickly. It was almost like mass processing. The service was unresponsive to feedback. I usually always tip...but I didn't see the point here. One thing is for sure: There won't be a next time.

We've been coming to Prerow for three years now, and have been guests at La Taverna Del Mare for three years now. Great atmosphere, great food, great service! The quality is consistently top-notch! We'll definitely be back and continue to indulge in culinary delights.

Unfortunately, it's not family-friendly. Our little daughter was a bit fussy, and we were very rudely reminded that there were other guests there. We left the restaurant without eating, so we won't leave a review.

We got a seat inside at 5 p.m. without a reservation. The service was very friendly, and the food came quickly. The quality was absolutely top-notch; we had pasta and pizza. We absolutely loved the tiramisu and panna cotta. And the child got a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a very good idea from the waitress. We highly recommend La Taverna del Mare!

We were there today as a couple with our 15-month-old daughter. We received a very friendly welcome, and individual requests like a high chair, small cutlery, etc. were immediately addressed, so I can't understand previous reviews about being child-unfriendly, etc. Service was prompt and very friendly. The food was very good; except for the garlic soup, we had a different idea of the base (not tomatoey), but that's a matter of taste. Our pork fillet dish and pasta were very good, as was the panna cotta. The drinks were excellent and also tasty. If we're in Prerow again, we'll definitely come back. Greetings from Berlin

Nice Italian restaurant in the center of Prerow. Usually quite busy, so make a reservation or wait in line. The food is quite good, but I personally find the pizza very greasy and overly seasoned. The pizza prices are quite steep at up to €15. Bottom line: It's okay, but there are other places with more atmosphere and better food.

Also in 2025, very tasty, wonderful atmosphere... like every year. We come regularly and we'll be back in 2026. 😀

I have a gluten intolerance, and even though it's not listed on the menu, they offered us the option of making gluten-free pasta. It's worth asking in advance; we really enjoyed the food, and everyone on the team was very friendly!

Friendly staff is rare on the Darß, so it's all the more wonderful that we found them here. The staff are of all ages, calm and always have a joke on their tongue. Here, it's not just one person who looks after a table; everyone lends a hand wherever needed. The food was excellent, truly fresh from the oven and appetizingly presented.

We've been passing by the La Taverna Del Mare restaurant several times these days and luckily got a table today, even with our small dog, despite the no-treat sign on the door. - Pizza Bufalina 10 out of 10 - Tartufo 10 out of 10 - Tiramisu 9 out of 10, but only because we would have liked more. Super delicious food and a lovely Italian atmosphere. We're thrilled and will definitely be back.

We were on holiday in Prerow in the summer and visited this restaurant twice. I ate a very good lasagna there. I chose this dish again on my second visit because it was very tasty. My family was also happy with the items they chose. They had pizza and a pasta dish.

We go to Prerow twice a year. Our favorite restaurant is La Taverna Del Mare!!! We eat there regularly. An original Italian restaurant with very attentive and always friendly staff! The food was always delicious and exceptional. The wine selection is great. My favorite is DORADE in different variations. The changing daily specials are worth highlighting. My family also likes to eat pasta and pizza. You always feel welcome. Even the boss personally asks from time to time whether everything was satisfactory.😎

Even if we live in Ahrenshoop, we always go to Prerow to eat at the Taverna del Mare. It is very cozy and always well attended. Absolute No. 1 in Prerow!

This was our second time eating here and it was absolutely delicious. Pizza was perfect, mussels couldn't be better and the pasta was also great. The service was attentive and very friendly. Pizza was beyond bad qasi tasteless and there was water in the middle of the pizza

We wanted to spontaneously visit the restaurant (6 p.m.). However, due to today's holiday, everything was fully booked. We were kindly informed of this and only offered us a free table about 90 minutes later. We decided to eat out and ordered pizzas to go. After around 10 minutes the dishes were ready, as previously announced. The pizzas were very well topped and tasted okay. We will definitely eat at the taverna on our next vacation. 😎

We love coming here every time, the pasta and fish dishes are our favorites! Dessert is also a must and is always nicely presented. We wanted to eat a pizza and a tonno salad (with tuna), as we are used to from an Italian restaurant. The reviews led us here. The salad came in a bowl with very coarsely cut cucumber slices adorning the edge, as did the beefsteak tomatoes and tasteless. The green salad consisted mainly of iceberg lettuce with stalks. The few other leaves, e.g. radiccio, are bitter. The two better-tasting leaves of arugula adorned the top of the salad. You had to look for onion rings and olives that add flavor. Last but not least, vinegar and oil were put on the table for me to add the sauce to the salad itself. Another disappointment was the dry white bread that was served with it. The pizza was so-so. For the prices 15€ salad, 15€ pizza we expected better quality and quantity. Iceberg lettuce doesn't work in a restaurant!

Found a place easily, service was attentive and quick. Unfortunately, my Parma pizza was just like that, the ham was very thickly sliced ​​and the pizza dough was a lot (in the mouth). We have been coming on vacation for years and are always very satisfied. The food is always to our complete satisfaction. No matter whether it's bruschetta, pizza, steak, fish or pasta. Everything is very tasty, well seasoned and always hot and fresh on the table quickly. The prices are also reasonable these days. We cannot understand some of the reviews here. The terraces are visible from the outside; people sit on the streets everywhere in Prerow. There is also a map hanging outside. If you don't like it, just move on and complain about things that aren't obvious. We'll definitely be back 🤗☺️ and are looking forward to it. All the best to the entire team 🍀 and only nice guests. Price-performance ratio is absolutely great! We ate pizza and were very satisfied. It makes sense to order in advance as the restaurant is rightly busy. Luckily we got a table for two people even without a reservation.

It was a very attentive and courteous service, although the restaurant was very busy, a dropped cutlery was noticed and replaced immediately. The restaurant makes a very good impression from the outside, that's why we went there. The pizza was standard, we can't say anything bad about it. Unfortunately my carbonara was very overcooked. Everything was littered with peppercorns, not just small pieces but some very large pieces. It's very uncomfortable here if you bite on it. I tried to sort out the pieces, but it would be best if you ground the pepper smaller or used less. Another negative aspect was that the waitress basically threw our plates on the table. Basically little time was taken for the guest. There was no time even for the payment process. It's a shame, we felt very unwelcome. Bruschetta could have had more garlic or more oomph. It was positive that special requests were taken into account.

Mein großer Thunfischsalat bestand aus 80% Salatblättern, es gab sehr wenig Thunfisch und andere Zutaten. Die Preise waren sehr hoch, das Essen unterdurchschnittlich. Wir fühlen uns nicht wohl.

We had previously suggested that he give up one of our tables. The food is very tasty and attractively prepared. The menu is absolutely manageable and not overcrowded. Experienced restaurateurs cook and plan here, and the quality of the food and wine confirms this. The changing daily menu offers typical Italian dishes. Upon request, there was also pizza as a children's portion, which was also outrageously delicious. Special requests are taken into account and gladly implemented. The prices are also absolutely reasonable. Thank you for the lovely evening, it was a successful end to the holiday. We'll definitely be back.

Absolutely delicious Italian food.

Since we weren't allowed to eat there as unvaccinated people without a test, we took a pizza with us. Although we had announced all the ingredients we wanted several times, the rocket was still missing. Quality overall, well! It's not Italians who cook here, only Germans and unfortunately you can tell. We have better memories of Maria Rosa next door. If you want to know what makes the owner tick, you should read the answers to the bad reviews!!!!!

Very nice atmosphere and delicious food. However, without a reservation it is very difficult to get a place there. You can also order your food and take it home with you. Potions are very, very generous and we were all very full.

We ordered take away. Portions were very large! It was nice and hot. We put the food on a plate because I don't like the food made from these aluminum things. 🤭😂 As I said, it tasted very tasty.

When eating at the Italian restaurant we tried the Margherita pizza, which tasted good, as did the salami pizza. However, the children's menu was quite manageable. The main courses for adults were nicely decorated, but there was only salad as a side dish, no fries or anything similar.

This is a very nice shop, the food was very good and the service was world class.

We sat outside and were served very friendly. Our pasta order arrived in preheated plates after a few minutes. The pasta was delicious, al dente to the point, with a superbly seasoned sauce. The salad was also nice and colorful and fresh. Tiramisu with fresh ripe fruits and good espresso is also recommended.

Anchovy pizza: I didn't have to look for my anchovies and it was also richly topped with carp. Olives weren't the zero 8 15 things but, in my opinion, pretty good ones. Wife was more than happy with her meal. Child ate everything for her 2nd birthday.

All restaurants in the area had closed their kitchens. Here you are still invited in as a guest and can enjoy classic Italian food.

A bit of a rocky atmosphere, torn oilcloth tablecloths; Grumpy, emotionless waiter who sends new guests away when the restaurant is full even though he has just booked a table and these guests are about to leave. The pizza 🍕 is standard (flat dough and neutral taste), unfortunately nothing special, which is why you go there to eat at some other Italian restaurants. But: the food came quickly 👍🏻 even though it was full.
