Very nice outdoor area with a great view of a quiet square and a great ambience. Extremely friendly, helpful and fast service with good food and wine advice. Among other things, we had a sea platter and various tapas that were extremely fresh and tasty. Although we had a larger one For the group, there was a selection that suited everyone and led to overall satisfaction. Also a highlight: fried milk as dessert. Also very well selected and extensive wine list. Really more than recommended. Price-performance ratio absolutely harmonious.

The best I can say about the food is that it has to be considered as an interpretation of Spanish food. Frankly, what I had was hardly recognisable as Spanish food. The ensaladia russe was more like the tonnato removed from the vitello with some bits of potatoes scattered within the very liquid sauce, the croquetas too thick with fillings that I couldn’t discern, the lamb chops were breaded (!) and the clams old and chewy. If you want authentic Spanish food don’t come here.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic restaurant. The food was simply delicious. The Gambas en Tempura was a standout dish- crispy, flavorful, and an absolute must-try! Each bite was a delightful crunch, perfectly seasoned. I enjoyed a delicious sangria that was refreshingly fruity and perfectly balanced. It paired wonderfully with the food.

A dream! From the super courteous welcome from the service staff, to the excellent food, to the wonderful atmosphere that rounds the whole thing off, simply fantastic! No matter what little extra request we expressed, it was followed up on, even though there was a lot going on! Of course, one or two times it took 5 minutes longer, but that's absolutely understandable given the company! The seats were all occupied and there were even a number of guests waiting for a spot to become available. And these were also taken care of, initially taken into a small seating lounge and provided with drinks until a table became free at which they were then placed. All in all a super friendly team. We can only report positive things about the food, we ordered a variety of tapas and everything tasted excellent. Absolutely recommended!

In a wonderful ambience opposite the newly renovated Asam, you can sit comfortably on Marienplatz in the heart of Freising and be pampered with tapas and paella from the exceptionally friendly staff. The menu is varied, the staff tries to cater to each guest individually and stands out for their friendliness and helpfulness. My personal favorite is a freshly tapped San Miguel beer, a real treat in summer and winter! The food is freshly prepared and tastes excellent; lovingly prepared in the kitchen, it is also a pleasure to eat. Definitely my favorite place, I can warmly recommend it at any time!

Service is a joke. If you want a second beer - order two. Otherwise you'll wait forever. It took 30 minutes for anyone to come. Difficult to reorder - at least we forgot. Food is ok though. However, expectations and reality do not match at all.

Oh dear, that was nothing! The wrong salad came and the bread with tuna that was ordered with it only came when we asked and then much later. About 5 service staff hung around behind us, completely unmotivated, chatting with each other and maliciously gossiping about other guests with whom there was obviously a misunderstanding. With the food came dozens of blowflies and our request to move was rejected. Instead, we were offered a network that was only given to us later when we asked. We then abandoned the food, which was ok but expensive, and asked twice more to finally be allowed to pay. We're definitely not coming back!

Phew, what can I write? Price performance is a disgrace! We had heard a lot of good things and thought a nice tapas evening would be nice. We chose the tapas variation for 4 people, priced at 37.50 euros per person, and at the beginning we were thrilled. From course to course it got worse and worse and unfortunately the price wasn't right at all. With a tapas price of almost 150 euros, we started off with a small plate with 8 slices of salami and 4 slices of serrano, 4 small corners of cheese, aioli and a bowl of Spanish potato salad with tuna. Course two - on a plate 4 dates wrapped in bacon and 4 half sheep's cheese thalers wrapped in bacon Course three - 1 plate of piementos and two small plates of roasted potato cubes (1x with aioli and 1x without) Gear 4 absolutely incomprehensible Deep-fried calamari and breaded small chicken schnitzels = sorry, but for me that's not tapas, it's Schnitzelwirt Gear 5 Small dessert variation And you pay 150 euros for that? Sorry, at this price I expect a different house number and really great Spanish tapas such as chorizo ​​tapas, shrimp tapas and e.g. Albondigas. But nothing came of it. Visited again today, the 20th of July, the experience was awful: after the greeting, we were asked to wait to see if a table was available, even if there were, at least two or three, free tables. We were seated, menus were brought and we waited for more than thirty minutes for someone to take our food and beverage order. In this time guest were seated at other three tables (what we could see) and served. After almost 45 minutes of feeling invisible and ignored, we left and have enjoyed our evening out at 78a competitor. Based on the experience of last month, when eveything went smooth, we left with a bitter taste in our hearts. I hope this was only a glitch... First visit in June 2024: Great, knowledgeable and forthcoming staff; great products lead to an great experience. Prices are, because of the location, a bit elevated, but the other aspects put this slight-minus-point in the background.

Been there 3 times and was always disappointed. The first time we had paella, unfortunately the taste had more in common with a frozen rice pan than with Spanish paella. Because here, overcooked seafood and turmeric for coloring were on the menu instead of saffron. The second time it was more interesting: the food (tapas menu) was great, but unfortunately the service was the opposite. We had reservations for 12 people. But the table was only half set, good thing we had reserved. When we asked, we were brought a handful of cutlery, which was handed over to us with a handshake. So we were allowed to set our own table. Cool thing! Unfortunately, the staff didn't know what was included in the tapas menu. So we ordered the Spanish pig in a poke. After about the third round, our table was so full that there was no room for any more plates. Maybe it was because empty plates weren't cleared away. The waiter's solution: He simply handed me the other plates directly into my hand. So I sat there and couldn't eat any more. But that still wasn't enough reason to clear away empty plates. Only when we stacked them and actively asked for them were they removed from the table. The third time (last week) we sat outside. A mild summer night with a chance of rain. Well, we ordered a few tapas and said that we would order a second round afterwards. After about an hour the first plates arrived. In total, the 9 tapas reached us in a time span of 45 minutes. That also meant that one part could already eat, the other part only when the first part was actually finished. Unpleasant when you go to dinner together. With the last plate we also asked about the bread we had specially ordered. However, the waiter couldn't remember that. Unfortunately, with the last plate we saw the waiter for the last time. In the meantime it started to rain. Plates and glasses became emptier and eventually we had to squeeze on one side of the table to avoid getting wet. Unfortunately, our table neighbors didn't have an umbrella over them and asked if they could move. The waiter's answer: No, he's reserved. And he was gone. So they were literally left out in the cold. This happened to several guests, but the waiters felt it was more important to clear empty tables than to attend to the existing guests. After about 2.5 hours a waiter passed us again. His question was whether everything would still fit. We then paid and moved on hungry and thirsty. What a shame!

Food is really delicious! But the service was an absolute disgrace. Rarely have I been served so badly. If you were served at all, because mainly our orders were forgotten and even ignored. Unfortunately, an absolute nightmare. The evening was totally ruined for us. By the way, we're still waiting for our potatoes and aioli to this day. A pity!

You will be spoken to stupidly if you don't pronounce the names in Spanish. You wait forever for your order and everything only comes if you ask several times. Uniquely phenomenal! La Cueva plays in the same league as the Spanish national team... world class!!! Starting with the service, which is friendly, fast and motivated, it continues with the incredibly good food, which is delivered quickly. We had the tapas menu, incredibly good, to get a pluralistic insight into the taste world of tapas. We didn't manage to fill everything up well, the quantities are really a lot for the price asked. Will definitely come back, absolute no brainer!

I visit this restaurant regularly with friends and family. I feel at home there every time I visit because the service always welcomes and serves me so politely, and all the employees are very patient, friendly and competent. However, it's not just the conditions that are worth a 5/5 on the rating scale, but also the food. I really have to say that no matter what I've ordered here so far, there hasn't been anything where I would say that I didn't like the taste of it or that there were any problems with my order, which is why I'm giving this a 5 again. 5, because you always get full. The ambience also leaves little to be desired, as the Bavarian culture is pleasantly combined with the Spanish through the interior and exterior furnishings, particularly the bar in the basement. Since I can't name any points in this aspect that would make my rating negative, I honestly give the restaurant 5/5 stars overall. Best Spaniard I've been to so far. Very good food, the calamari was better than on Crete (nicely thin breading and not so squishy). The cocktail, although it took a bit long because there was a lot going on, was just as excellent as the rest of the tapas and the live music from a Spanish singer that was a bit too loud. Sangria, apparently homemade, was also to be enjoyed. Only the papas arrugadas (salty potatoes) and the very salty sauces were too salty for us personally. Compared to Lanzarote, the sauces there are hardly salty because the potatoes were already in a salt bath. Otherwise everything was great! The ambience is especially very nice. Not handicapped friendly if you want to eat inside.

I found it to be quite loud. To have a conversation you have to speak louder. There was a gentleman with a guitar. It was nice, but it also contributed to the high volume. The staff was quite nice, but had brought 1 drink by mistake. But that was fixed without any problems. Food was okay in terms of price/performance. Average taste. I tried 4 different tapas. The vegetables were floating in oil. The extra bread was billed incorrectly, 50 cents at my expense. But then I didn't ask for it. If friends asked me about a restaurant in Freising, the TapasBar wouldn't be my first choice. But not a complete no-go either.

The food is very tasty and authentic. Nice and fast service. There is a point deduction for the drink prices. €9.90 for a 0.5 l wine spritzer or €6.90 for 0.3 l sangria are incomprehensible to me. It would be worth considering for the host, perhaps you could have a second drink.

In my opinion, shocked why this restaurant got 4.7. The employees are not very attentive. We had the fried seafood plate, the calamari was like rubber, the breading was soaked. The food was very tasty, but some dishes were too heavy on garlic. And the table display is too narrow in some places. But otherwise it is very pleasant there.

The food was standard and the prices charged were way too expensive. Given the prices, I would have liked something special. But a lot of it tasted like a deep fryer. Normal potato wedges (aka fried potatoes) are also significantly overpriced for a small plate, it doesn't taste particularly good.

This is our second time wading there. This time we had the flying tapas for 4 people. We were so crazy and had an appetizer platter 🙈 The quality and quantity were great. The tapas plates were served in a good rhythm, except for the dessert. Friendly service staff, but they still need a bit of training. You should definitely make a reservation. This definitely won't be our last time. Next time there will be paella 😋! Update. Yesterday we had paella. Under no circumstances should you add an appetizer 😅 The portion was more than enough. But, "It's better to twist your stomach than give something to the host" 😁 The paella was pretty typical of the country. If I ever feel really hungry again, I'll do it again.

We have been to La Cueva several times now and will continue to enjoy going there. The food we ordered always tasted good. We always try something new and are not disappointed. The location is perfect and all the employees enjoy their jobs! And hey, let's be honest...at prime time it's full and everyone orders at the same time, so it can take a few minutes longer! But you don't go there to look for errors ;-) Be happy that a young team had a great idea and enjoy your visit to La Cueva!

Yummy. However, be careful with the churros: they have a massive sugar crust, I've never seen anything like that in Spain. It was a mess trying to remove the sugar coating. Please put the information on the card so that you can avoid this pile of sugar. And people check your bills, I was charged €2 more for my non-alcoholic cocktail. When I was ordering, I saw that the waiter had registered a normal cocktail and pointed it out to him. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the extra payment until later.

Unfortunately, the visit was a failure from start to finish. We had reserved as a group and were left standing for 20 minutes. When we got a table, the place setting was carelessly pushed over the table by the service person. We also only got 3 tickets and there were six of us. Despite repeated requests, we didn't get any extra tickets. The Aperol was only a quarter full and when we asked, the glass was not refilled or accommodated in any way. The food was brought incorrectly, so the vegetarians got a dish with meat. Last time we complained we were not treated well by the staff and labeled as “the problem table”.

Great food, diverse selection, good portions and an absolutely new taste experience in Freising. La Cueva impresses with its variety of tapas at reasonable prices. The furnishings are stylish/comfortable and invite you to an enjoyable evening. The bar in the basement is also an absolute highlight - modernity meets cellar vaults and the bartender knows his craft. Big praise for the cocktail creations. Overall, the entire service team makes a super committed impression and is on their toes. The two owners are also super friendly, communicative and always concerned about the well-being of their guests. This won't be the last time I've been a guest here.

Great service and a large selection of tapas. You can also find something as a vegetarian/vegan, even if the selection is smaller. The service was quick and provided good support. The vegetable paella wasn't that special, but the other food was really good. In terms of price, the restaurant is more of a Munich standard, so it's more expensive.

Wir waren am Samstag um 16 Uhr zum Essen. Nach der Bestellung und der ersten Lieferung kam kein Service mehr, obwohl wir ausgetrunken hatten. Stattdessen unterhielt sich die Bedienung zu Fünft laut privat am Nebentisch. Eine Essenbestellung wurde nicht geliefert, aber dennoch berechnet. Darauf angesprochen gab es eine lapidare Entschuldigung. Bei mehreren Abendbesuchen war alles prima und um so mehr enttäuschend dieses Mal.

Wir waren unter der Woche zu dritt abends als erste Gäste dort. Wir hatten 5 Tapas und einen Salat und alles kam nacheinander, als hätte die Küche ein Gericht fertig gemacht und dann erst das nächste angefangen. Keiner von uns hat gemeinsam essen können. Das finde ich insbesondere bei Tapas und auch in Gesellschaft extrem schade. Der Salat war gut, aber normalerweise reicht man etwas Brot dazu, was im Einkauf ja auch wirklich nicht viel kostet. Wenn in Freising der Aperol teurer ist als in München, setzt man auch als Gast die Messlatte höher. Der Service war bemüht, aber teilweise auch etwas überfordert. Ich kann die guten Bewertungen leider nicht nachvollziehen. Wir haben fast 120 Euro bezahlt. Da bekommt man woanders deutlich mehr dafür. Eine Anmerkung noch: Wenn man so ein hohes Niveau pflegen möchte, dann bitte nicht auf Stofftischdecken Folie legen, die nach jedem Gast getauscht und weggeworfen wird - gerade heutzutage im Hinblick auf das Thema Nachhaltigkeit.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal da. Haben verschiedene Tapas ausgewählt, welche an sich gut abgeschmeckt waren und von guter Qualität waren. Allerdings waren einige Tapas nur lauwarm, manche sogar kalt. Da erwarte ich beim diesem doch erhöhten Preisniveau einen heißen Teller und heiße Speisen. Da geht noch mehr. Bzw. reicht bei so einfachen Tapas wie Kartoffelecken, oder Champions ein 1-2€ weniger zu berechnen. Wir würden wahrscheinlich noch einmal kommen und weiter testen.

Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre... Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Sowohl Getränke als auch die Gerichte kamen sehr schnell und haben zudem sehr gut geschmeckt. Ich bin eigentlich nicht so sehr der Tapas Fan... Hierher kam ich mir jedoch gut vorstellen bald wieder zu kommen.

Jedes Mal bestellte ich Tapas. Es tut mir leid, kann sie aber nicht wirklich empfehlen. Der Preis ist für die Qualität der Produkte deutlich zu hoch. Die grösste Enttäuschung waren die Baby Calamari, die man kaum durchkauen konnte, so zeh, wie sie waren. Was uns gut geschmeckt hat, war die Nachspeise und die Kartoffelecken, zwei von von insgesamt 9 Gerichten. Der Service war in Ordnung. Für mich bleibt es bei den zwei Besuchen.

Great food once again, we only ordered a few small dishes (3) because we went to a confectioners and ate dessert first. 😂 What I would say is that I would have liked all 3 dishes to come at the same time. I had to watch the table next to us get loaded with about 15 dishes whilst I ate my prawns and my date ate his vegetarian dish, and we waited for patatas bravas. Always nice to have such a small order brought out together. That was poor this time, so I would mark you down on service, but the food was great and for that you get 5 stars. I'm looking forward to returning!

Wir waren heute vor Ort essen und es war geschmacklich wirklich sehr gut. Uns haben alle Tapas super geschmeckt. Das Personal ist freundlich. Wir werden wieder kommen.
