La Strada 8 - Espresso Bar & Pizzeria in Oberstdorf

Very nice staff with a good mood. Addendum: Again in Oberstdorf. Still the best pizza in town and the best chef ever. Thanks.

We were there on 5/11/25 and ordered 2 pizzas. After about 40 minutes we asked for our order because guests who arrived at least 20 minutes later had already had their food. The boss made the pizzas for us relatively quickly, but the excuse was flimsy. Other guests had apparently ordered the same pizzas, but this was long before we ordered. The guests had already finished their food when we arrived. We thought the espresso offered was an excuse, far from it, we had it on the bill. This shows a lack of professionalism and an exploitation of tourists. Therefore our recommendation - don't go.

The pizza was okay with 1 star capers ordered, none on it, the salad Tonna only consisted of ready-made salads/carrots/cabbage/red cabbage. The drinks were forgotten, that can always happen, but a small apology would be appropriate here. I expected something different here!

Pizza was super tasty and pleasant atmosphere

Great Italian bar in the middle of Oberstdorf. We were there for breakfast on Sunday morning. We were given a great cake stand with various types of cheese, sausages and fresh strawberries. Crispy rolls and a freshly squeezed orange juice as well as two glasses of Prosecco. Super tasty breakfast for little money. Very nice and personal service. We give it 10 out of 10 points. Bravo

Yes, very, very good pizza. We had the house brand LaStrada8 together and it was incredibly good. I once ate something similar in Naples 👍. We'll definitely be back, service was attentive, beer 🍺 and wine very good, also from the temperature. Very inconspicuous from the outside, for us it was a very positive chance find (culinary).

For me the store is not a recommendation. The pizza crust is excessively thick, but the toppings are stingy. My pizza was partially black on the bottom - it was just burnt, not crispy. Leave out an ingredient and add a little more onions? It costs an extra euro directly - without any notice, simply silently added to the invoice. Not only is this bad service, it's also pretty rude.

Never have I enjoyed the atmosphere and superb service as I experienced at this restaurant. Vilay, the owner, provided us with the most amazing service and was so entertaining and friendly. The whole stay was scary - it started with a service person who only spoke rudimentary German who didn't know what anchovies were and didn't understand my request to get the mixed salad in advance - if my wife's pizza had been a steak - then medium would be right - In the case of pizza, it's simply a raw lump of dough - ok - we got a new pizza for it and a free aperol - but the evening was already over anyway - the ham was out of my pizza with ham - the next pizza became number 30 the 13 - by the time I finally got the right pizza my wife was hungry again - ok - the beer we ordered came quickly and was cold and the pizzas were ok - but otherwise everything was pretty amateurish - it's a shame for such a wasted evening

We visited the restaurant in Kleinwalsertal. We had reserved for 3 people, when we arrived it was only revealed for 2. The uncovering was not made up for either. We only received cutlery when the food was already there when we asked. I wanted a fitness salad without tomatoes and I have to say the salad was one of the worst I've ever eaten. There were still tomatoes on it, but no nuts, which were heavily advertised on the menu. In general, the “mixed salad” consisted of a lot of greens and a few pieces of pepper and 3 slices of cucumber. I can't rate the dressing because it was virtually non-existent. And all of this for an impressive €18.50. There wasn't even bread or anything like that. My friend's bruschetta was sliced ​​so thin that it almost passed for rusks. The portions were all very small and one dish came so late that the others had already finished eating by that time. Aperol is advertised outside with a huge sign but isn't even on the menu for a rough idea of ​​price etc.

Every year when I'm in Oberstdorf I visit this pizzeria. It just tastes so delicious! This time there were 7 of us! The pizzas all came at the same time! And they were excellent again! The service lady was very friendly, helpful and attentive! Yes, it took a while, but the super friendly lady learned the German language! And she does it really well! THANK YOU, it was a nice evening!
