We were here for lunch. We really enjoyed the food. The waiter was not only very courteous, he also had a fine sense of humor. We felt comfortable.

Wonderful, delicious food, authentically cozy Italian flair - absolutely recommended!

The decor is so chic and elegant. I really like the renovation. We mostly eat pasta there and from the seasonal menu. There is truffle spaghetti in parmesan cheese tossed live at the table. Fish is fillitated at the table by the waiter. Scampi are prepared very tasty. The pizza is as it should be at an Italian restaurant, thin, crispy base. However, if you want to be sure of a table at peak times, it is advisable to reserve. The staff is friendly/competent and attentive, highly recommended if you want to go out for an elegant meal. See you soon.

A very nice, cozy restaurant with some old exposed brickwork. Nicely laid out, nice service. Since the restaurant is very large, it sometimes took a little longer until service was available again. The food was very tasty and fresh, sometimes a bit small (lasagne only about 15x15 cm in size)..., but also expensive. The toilets are very well maintained, clean and modern. All in all, highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

The restaurant still had space for 3 people. In principle we were not disappointed. Because the pizza was ok, the soup for 8 euros was too expensive in my opinion but good. Savings were made in general. With the toppings and the portion. It was pleasantly warm in the restaurant. But unfortunately the tables were a bit awkward and we barely found room for the walker. And this is exactly where the even bigger problem comes at the entrance, which is very narrow, where you first have to take the walker up 2 steps and unfortunately there is no railing where you can hold on if you have walking difficulties. The staff was friendly but also a bit stressed. My second drink order was simply forgotten. The toilets are ok. When paying, the waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed, but somehow everything worked after a while. So I can recommend the restaurant for eating out. Except for the small points of criticism. And the toilet is barrier-free because you can only get to the toilets with a walker because there is a stupid big cigarette machine in front of it and you have to somehow get through the last few meters without a walker. Throw out the cigarette machine and the problem is solved. But we'd love to come back to eat, maybe putting a railing at the entrance wouldn't be so bad.

It was super tasty, cozy and really authentic Italian cuisine. I can't understand why the restaurant is rated so average. For me it was comparable to locations that have an overall rating of at least 4.7 stars or better :)

Food was basically OK. The calzone was a bit lost on the plate. But not a cozy atmosphere. Too big. Too loud. The staff wasn't overly friendly either.

Nice restaurant, delicious food. Ambiance was also nice, but the tablecloth wasn't changed even though it was dirty. The toilet facility was modern, but unfortunately the soap was empty and it could have been a little cleaner (including smudges on the tiles and floor)

Unfortunately this time very disappointing!!! Food delicious, service and staff stressed and unfriendly. Even though we had a table reservation, no table was free, a long wait for the table and a long wait to be served, 3 meals were forgotten and had to be reordered twice, and one meal didn't come at all. During our stay, it was only possible to ask if we wanted anything else after repeated calls. When it came to paying, they said cash only, card payment was no longer possible because the checkout had already been made, this was around 10 p.m., but the shop is open until midnight and 2. it wasn't written down beforehand Card payment is not possible. Service was very unfriendly. We were actually regular guests, but unfortunately the through traffic took priority. We always went there with 10 people and left quite a bit of money there. We have now been very disappointed twice from 10 times. I could write more about everything that didn't fit, we have now decided that it was the last time for us. Something better will be found.

The service seems completely overwhelmed, which was evident in several aspects: • Profit orientation instead of hospitality: The restaurant seems to be solely focused on maximizing profits. Every table was overbooked, making the atmosphere hectic and uncomfortable. • Lack of attention: Orders were only taken half-heartedly, as if the guests' wishes were not really taken into account. You don't feel welcome or valued. • Unpleasant priorities: As a guest, you feel neglected throughout your entire visit - with the exception of paying. Then suddenly more attention is shown again. In summary, neither service quality nor hospitality is the focus here. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Very disappointed! After 1 1/2 hours the cold starter arrived! After another hour, finally the main course! The price was then very annoying! We won't come to this pizzeria anymore!

Ordered table over 2 weeks in advance, and sat almost on the sidewalk. The place and the food were cold and incomplete. You should also drink something beforehand, as there doesn't seem to be enough in the Romantica 😢

Perfect location in the middle of Fulda. Ambience and service okay. The food is beautifully presented and tastes good (there is still room for improvement), but everyone should form their own opinion.

Just a year ago, this location was an absolute highlight in the beautiful baroque city of Fulda. Unfortunately, today the name "la catastrofe" would be the only true name. Making a reservation 2 weeks before an event ends in unpleasant misery. Even discussing details two days in advance is irrelevant. Result of probably the most disappointing and last visit: The waiters were absolutely overwhelmed as they flew past. The orders and requests given were lost between the table and the counter/cash register. The food was miserable in 3 courses. It was cold, half of it was missing and without drinks it was really a test of friendliness. The washed bill is simply the sad end of an evening where the previous joy of the "beautiful" evening was ended with a slap in the face. Business is certainly an aspiration for everyone, BUT quality over quantity! This location doesn't even deserve 1 star anymore and that's really bitter!!!

I will rate the delivery service in November 2024. Overall, my partner and I would not order from La Romantica again. 1. Not crucial for us, but the 30 minutes quoted on the phone turned into a delivery time of over 60 minutes. 2. The pizzas seemed noticeably small in diameter. 3. The pizzas were rather "soggy" and cut very carelessly, i.e. h. not to the edge. 4. For two pizzas with two side salads (7 euros each) we paid 38 euros, including a tip, 40 euros. In retrospect, that was simply far too expensive for us in relation to the quality and quantity.

Visiting Fulda, table reserved for 4 people. Took time to place order. Wrong drink and wrong pizza brought. It became very crowded in the restaurant and the waiter didn't concentrate on the existing guests, but rather quickly cashed in these guests so that the table was available again. Pizza was only of medium quality and the edge remained on every plate Waiter not interested. We were in the restaurant for almost an hour, and the next time we were in Fulda we wouldn't be in this restaurant again

Just mediocre - food solid but nothing special. The service doesn't smile, seems stressed and the hectic pace is passed on to the guest. Too many tables in the dining room - it's tight and very loud when it's full. Tip: Remove the tables - loosen up and pay more attention to the guest - a smile works wonders and a little more sophistication when eating.

It's been a long time since I've had such a good Viennese schnitzel, and that from an Italian restaurant... Respect... All the other dishes were also more than satisfactory

A beautiful Italian Ristorante, very nice, attentive staff!!!! A nice selection of dishes at very moderate prices! Far away from the (often) usual pizza and pasta alike. The focchacia with Parma ham - a poem! Tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms - delicious! Unfortunately we are not from Fulda, otherwise we would definitely go there once a week!

Unfassbar schlechtes Essen. Die Lasagne schwamm in Sahne und auf der Pizza war der Käse noch nicht einmal geschmolzen. Auf meine Beschwerde wurde der Kellner auch noch aggressiv. Das Lokal war Samstagabend bestens besucht, mir unverständlich.

War heute am 14.10. Im Restaurant essen, Schlechter kann man Lasagne nicht zubereiten, angebrannt Hackfleischklumpen obendrauf. Der Bedienung mitgeteilt, keine Reaktion.

Fulda. At 11pm at night. Most kebab shops have already closed. The kitchens of all the inns are cold. However, taverns? NO! A small ristorante right in the center keeps the fire blazing in the stone oven and boldly invites you to a midnight snack. Great, awesome! Not intrusive Italian flair, The service speaks very friendly ¾ German, ¼ Italian. Eat like Nonna’s! Grace!

We arrived in Fulda late and were still hungry at 11 p.m. At La Romantica there was always warm food until midnight. Service was really nice and the food was very tasty.

Bottom line: nothing special. Unfortunately it took a long time until we had food and drinks at the table. At no time was there a request for new drinks and a small change request was not responded to. Been here several times and always had the same thought: why didn't you go somewhere else? There are far better restaurants and better Italians in Fulda. Good point, but you can still get seats spontaneously.

It is a beautifully decorated Italian restaurant in a very central location, right next to the parish church. The service was nice and attentive, the food was tasty and the prices were totally okay. Recommended!

Once and never again. The service is very good but the rest is unfortunately poor. We had pasta with chanterelles in a white sauce, but unfortunately it wasn't seasoned at all. But unfortunately the pizza wasn't as tasty as you would imagine.

Made a stop in Fulda and ended up at la Romantica Pizzaria. The food was good and sufficient The staff was rude, always looked elsewhere, no eye contact with the guests When we were finished eating we got the crumbs and everything that was on the table was shot. When it came to paying, we were told snidely that it was only possible in cash.

The guests are obviously not particularly welcome here. The service rider insults the guests... RUDRIENDliness is very important there! We will no longer be visiting the restaurant and unfortunately cannot recommend it to any other guests.

Andere, später gekommene Gäste wurde bedient, wir nicht!! Mag man dort keine Frauen? Wir haben uns freundlich und höflich verhalten, warum behandelt man Menschen so? Eine absolute Frechheit!!! Wirklich entwürdigend!!! Warum arbeitet man in einem Dienstleistungsgewerbe, wenn man Menschen nicht mag? Nach einer halben Stunde sind wir gegangen und haben uns in einem anderen italienischen Lokal niedergelassen, wo man uns freundlich und schnell mit leckeren Getränken und Eis bedient hat. VERGONATEVI AL ROMANTICA DI FULDA !!!!!!

Luckily, after waiting for over 2 hours, we at least got the starter. Like us (4 people with a reservation), several guests left the restaurant without eating after waiting two hours. No information about delays, no requests for additional drinks. Here the guests are obviously not particularly welcome but rather a nuisance. Our conclusion: once and never again!

Trotz Reservierung am Vortag, wurde uns ziemlich lustlos ein ungedeckter Tisch zugewiesen. Irgendwie hatten wir das Gefühl nicht gerade willkommen zu sein. Das Essen war in Bezug auf die gewählte Pizza und den Sardinen gut, den Nudelgerichten hat es an Geschmack und Frische gefehlt. Ein nach der eigentlichen Bestellung noch nachgerufene Ergänzung für eine Bruschetta als Vorspeise für uns war recht enttäuschend. Das Brot zu dick abgeschnitten, ungeröstet mit schlechtem Olivenöl beträufelt und geschmacklosen Tomaten belegt, standen stolze €23,- gegenüber. Genauso wie bereits einige Bewertungen hier vermerkt haben, gab es auch für uns keinen Beleg. Da wir aber zu unserem anstehenden Musicalbesuch aufbrechen mussten, haben wir nicht weiter insistiert.

Food OK. Young, snobbish waitress very naughty, a dropped napkin was commented on: "It would have been up to you to pick it up!" You soon had to wait 10 minutes to pay with your card (peak meal time!) The battery was empty! A course in kindness and behavior would be very necessary!!

Italian restaurant with rustic charm and theater-friendly opening hours.

La Romantica Ristorante Pizzeria Fulda delivered one of the most disappointing dinning experiences I’ve ever had. As a lover of Italian cuisine, I was expecting a delightful meal, but what we received was far from it. We ordered Aglio e Olio, a classic dish that should be simple yet flavourful. Unfortunately, it was a disaster. The pasta was undercooked and lacked any semblance of flavour. There was barely any olive oil, and the garlic, which should have been the star, was raw and overpowering. It was as if the chef simply tossed raw ingredients together and called it a day. Next, we tried the Bruschetta, hoping for a refreshing appetizer. What arrived was a sad plate of raw, flavorless tomatoes piled on stale bread. There was no seasoning, no drizzle of olive oil, and certainly no effort to elevate the dish. The garlic bread, typically a reliable side dish, was inedible. It was hard, dry, and tasted like it had been sitting out for days. We couldn't even finish it. Overall, La Romantica failed to deliver on every level. The food was not only tasteless but poorly prepared. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine—or even just a decent meal. Save your time and money and dine elsewhere.

We recently made a reservation for 5:30 p.m. because we wanted to attend a concert at the cathedral at 8:30 p.m. We were able to place the drink order quickly. Then the drama began. It took about 30 minutes to order the food, which we were really looking forward to in the run-up to the concert. Despite repeated complaints, we still had no food after 2 hours. We would have liked to order drinks, but no waiter came. The only response from the waitress was “immediately”. Other restaurant visitors were also very upset because they also had to wait a long time. Unfortunately, when the food was served, we couldn't eat enough because the concert started in 20 minutes. It wasn't bad because it didn't taste good anyway, so we returned one dish. The bill was also miscalculated to our disadvantage, so this process also took a long time. Conclusion: very long waiting time, completely disoriented staff for too many guests, food quality not good. Unfortunately, the restaurant is NOT recommended!

Just wow, I can't say it any other way! A clear recommendation for everyone who appreciates good food. We had bruscetta, a calzone and a pizza, this was ordered to take away and could be picked up within the aforementioned 20 minutes. The bruscetta was awesome, very fresh bread (which is very tasty on its own) topped with plenty of fresh tomatoes, just the right amount of garlic and everything seasoned to perfection. In addition, the packaging was secured again with adhesive tape to prevent involuntary opening (unfortunately this is not often considered anymore, but in this case it was). The calzone was simply fantastic, crispy dough on the outside, fluffy and juicy on the inside. The filling was spicy and incredibly good; high-quality ingredients are very important here. All in a very balanced amount. The pizza was great, the base was thin and crispy, the edges were nice and fluffy, and there was just the right amount of toppings. The tomato sauce has a nice, spicy and fruity flavor. Next time we will eat there because the atmosphere is appealing and the food straight from the kitchen is a little bit fresher and warmer. All in all, a successful meal and a great team. Thank you for this incredibly good experience

It's all ok! From the food to the service!

We ate here in the afternoon before attending a concert at Cathedral Square. The calzone was quite tasty, even though there were about 7 slices of salami and cooked ham piled in the middle and the rest of the pizza was very dough-heavy. But if you distribute it yourself, then it's fine. The price was very fair for this freshly made pizza. The Spezi could have used a little more carbonation, the bottle had probably been open for a while. The many wasps outside at the table were a bit annoying, but the restaurant can't do anything about that. Unfortunately it was still a bit difficult to drink.

We didn't have a good experience here. Very crowded, you had the choice between pizza or waiting at least an hour. A salad was returned twice because it wasn't as ordered. Chicken on the salad seemed more like leftovers. Pizza was okay, but we've had much better. Quantity rather than class seems to be the order of the day here.

We went to eat before going to a concert, I have to say it was one of the best pizzas I've eaten, everything was very fresh, the service was quick and very polite! The only thing that really bothered us was the payment - you could only pay in cash!

Also , dass Essen war gut, aber die Kellner hatten oft Schwierigkeiten wo welches Essen oder Getränk hin kommt. Und als es zur Bezahlung kam, wurden wir ganz schön beschiessen. Mir wurden 16,80€ zuviel abgerechnet. Kassenbon haben wir keinen bekommen, dann wurde erst mal diskutiert es würde nicht stimmen. Aber wir haben nicht locker gelassen und ich habe mein Geld zurück bekommen. Unseren Freunden die mit uns waren ging es genauso. Also verlangt den Bon.

We ordered, waited an hour and it arrived here. Noodles are endlessly hard Pizza has no cheese on it and no taste whatsoever. And for 2 pizzas and one pasta a total of 35 euros. Unacceptable

Nach dem Blick auf die Karte haben wir Nachmittag beim Vorbeigehen für 4 Personen reserviert - Gottseidank, denn am Abend um 19:00 Uhr war das Lokal gut gefüllt. Aus der umfangreichen Karte haben wir Vorspeisen und Hauptgänge gleich ausgewählt und bestellt. Die Bedienungen waren uns gegenüber freundlich, nett und schnell - prima Service. Zum Wasser und Bianco di Custoza gab es dann den Gruß aus der Küche mit Oliven, Brot und Olivenöl - perfekt. Carpaccio di Manzo und 3x Vorspeisenteller aus der Vitrine (vegetarisch) wurde zuerst verspeist. Danach gab es Nudeln mit Lachs, Kalbsleber mit Beilage, Tagliatelle mit Pfifferlingen und Linguine mit Meeresfrüchten. Uns allen haben die Vorspeisen und die Hauptgänge sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dorthin gehen und können die unterschiedlichen schlechten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen.

We ordered food at 6:20 p.m. When I asked about it an hour later, they said it would come soon. It actually came at 9:35 p.m. Unapologetic and totally unfriendly. I was then able to take the food back with me! Never again!!!

Ambience: very pleasant Pizza: came super quickly and tasted good Price: fair Service: you have to differentiate —> Order taken and delivered very quickly, staff friendly —> Pay (probably from the boss): by far the most unfriendly treatment in a long time. Actually, I just wanted to thank you for the good service, but I was cut off in a very unfriendly way. It was also noticed that other guests were not treated well. Conclusion: Apparently you are not welcome here as a guest, so the restaurant is not recommended!!

This review refers to the café or ice cream parlor "La Romantica" opposite the associated restaurant. The location is good and it's comfortable to sit. We were there on a Saturday. The queue at the ice cream factory next door was quite long, which is why we decided to have an iced coffee and a shake at "La Romantica", where one or two customers came to the ice cream counter at irregular intervals, the seats were well filled, but there was still one had no problem finding a place. The iced coffee was lukewarm, unsweetened and therefore quite bitter coffee with cream, a decorative splash of chocolate sauce, a wafer biscuit and a (!) small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Ice cream was also saved on the milkshake; the vanilla flavor was at its best. Table water was not served, payment had to be made directly when served. tl;dr: For ice cream you might want to go next door. What was served outside of the ice cream menu looked quite nice, at least on the neighboring tables (e.g. bruschetta).

The food was still OK after a very long wait. But it was one of the worst services I have ever experienced, and when I spoke to the waitress I was ridiculed. Absolutely not recommended!

Actually quite nice, but I had to wait forever for my food, the friends at the table were already finished and I had to remind them again... it's a shame, maybe the younger employees will show more commitment 😉

Best Italian restaurant north of Milano. Top staff.. very good food and lovely furnishings

We just ate at the restaurant today where we were served by a young man who tried to cheat us out of 40 euros but only managed to cheat us out of 20. I hope he gets fired because it was quite annoying to confront him about it. And just a really bad experience. If he says you can't pay by card, don't believe him. That's the way he cheats himself out of money.

All in all, just solid without shining in any way through food design, visual presentation, special service, attention, etc. But it doesn't seem to bother many people because of the good location.

The pizzeria looks inviting at first glance. But appearances are deceiving. The staff is completely overwhelmed so good service is not possible. Apart from that we had to wait an hour for our food. We ordered Baked Picolino and got a cheap feta cheese from a discount store with two cherry tomatoes and dry white bread. Shabby cheap... Apart from the pizza we ordered, that's critical. Too little tomato sauce, no mozzarella and, to top it off, some hard cheese with no taste. Never go to the restaurant again!

Waited too long for the food...food was great

Unfortunately, our stay in this restaurant was just bad in every respect. We understand when many guests have to be served at the same time. But when musicals and Domplatz concerts are offered in Fulda, you definitely have to be better prepared. But instead of ensuring that the guests who are already sitting in the restaurant and who have made reservations days in advance are served, it is more important to fill the very last seat. And this despite the fact that it is quite clear that the service and kitchen are hopelessly overwhelmed. The whole thing culminated in extreme unfriendliness on the part of the boss and waitress. I have had similar experiences there and will not visit this restaurant again.

We wanted to have dinner at the restaurant last night before going to see the musical. That's why I accepted the online table reservation option offered. I found it strange that after trying twice I always ended up on a strange advertising page. The confirmation email mentioned did not come either. That's why I tried to order by phone - also on Saturday lunchtime around 12 p.m. - at that time the restaurant should be open according to its website. Unfortunately, I couldn't reach anyone by phone. After I decided on another restaurant, I thought to myself: "at least write an email using the contact button - in case the online reservation has arrived" - I think it would be unfair to block the table if I'm not going there anymore anyway. But there was also the problem that the online contact options somehow ended up on a service page that didn't belong to the restaurant. It's a shame because I found the menu very tasty.

Unfortunately our visit was a total disaster. We have 2.5! Waited hours for our food. When we asked repeatedly, we were stopped in an unfriendly manner. When the food finally came, the portions were ridiculously small but totally overpriced. For example, a gnocchi dish with 5 gnocchi... A really outrageous stay and unfortunately a very bad restaurant.

I was a guest at La Romantica Ristorante on Saturday and can only report positive things. Yes… the wait until the food came was quite long. But you almost have to be prepared for that when you see that both the indoor and outdoor areas are fully occupied with guests and so it was completely within the framework for us. Service friendly, organized and professional at all times. Food (tortellini alla panna and gnocchi alla sorrentina) was absolutely great. We also found the portion size generous. We'd love to come back!

Very nice, atmospherically designed restaurant in a half-timbered house diagonally opposite the town parish church. Good food, large selection and plenty of space outside in summer. The service 1a.

Service is very bad. We waited three quarters of an hour for the drinks. The food came after half an hour, but it was stupid without drinks. They were very quick when it came to paying.
