There are better Peruvian restaurant in Frankfurt who have better service and food quality. The restaurants near this place are more interesting in comparison. Go to La Cevi instead or Miraflores. There are more to the story, we went in and apologize for being late. We were seated in the restaurant and when we wanted to order they told us we have to stand up of our place and we have to get out because they will give it to another customer. Rude and funny up until this day.

Absolutely wonderful! The best Peruvian food in entire Frankfurt. The service is great, the owner is a Peruvian lady who is absolutely sweet and very friendly. The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, perfect for a first date or even after 9 years like me and my partner. HIGHLYYY recommend, great prices and the food?????? Literally jaw dropping flavours with delicious textures. The drinks? Their strawberry pico sour should win an Oscar! Love it!! (Ps, remember they just take cash)

La Preferida is a great Peruvian restaurant in Sachsenhausen, unique in the Frankfurt area. We started with the fish shumai and the fish tiradito (ceviche stilled sashimi). For main dishes, we ordered the lomo saltado (steak with potatoes in a beef broth reduction), and we ordered the sea food rice. For dessert, we got the Lucuma tart which was good, but I am not a fan of the bitter taste of Lucuma.

A cute little spot in a great location. They have great pisco sours and I would recommend the Lomo Saltado!

Very disappointed with the price/portion sizes. I would expect that at least the rice is included with the mains, which are very small portions. The appetizers were disappointing (also too small, impossible to share) would be happy to pay more but for a satisfying dish.

Nice food but poor service. It's hard to enjoy a dining experience when the staff act like you're an inconvenience and they are doing you a favour by allowing you to enter the premises.

We were there yesterday and unfortunately we didn't have a particularly good experience. We waited 40 minutes for our food, and it has to be said that we only ordered starters. There were also cold dishes that could definitely have been brought earlier. Eating 8 dishes at once as a couple, many of which were warm, doesn't actually make that much sense and I know it differently. Besides us, there were initially only 2 and later 6 other guests there, so it was quite manageable. The service was initially nice, but over the course of the evening it became clear that there must have been a bad atmosphere between the kitchen staff and the service, which in turn took its toll on us. Not particularly professional and considering that you go out to eat to relax, it's a shame. Now to the food: the fried yuka (breaded - also unusual) tasted like old fried fat, the coriander in the ceviche was over, the baos were quite dry, the wontons were too salty, etc. Everything was not prepared with love. When we asked for a little more huancaina sauce and chili sauce, they were charged €2.50 each. They could have pointed this out to us or simply given us a waiver as a gesture of goodwill due to the long waiting time. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is generally not right here. The Pisco Sours were good, but a little more acid wouldn't have hurt. But I won't be coming back for dinner.

Good food, but little quantity for the price.

We went to La Preferida for the first time yesterday. As half Peruvian, I know Peruvian cuisine very well and so does my wife. The portions weren't that big but we were both full. But the most important thing: the food was delicious and very authentically cooked. We had the papa a la huancaina, causa, lomo saltado and arroz con mariscos. The staff was very nice and helpful, the store was fully booked but we were offered space at the counter, which was perfectly fine. The only point of criticism I have is the size and price of it - the Pisco Sour. These were also super tasty, which is why it wasn't so tragic, but I still think a slightly larger drink would be better for the price point, but as I said, it wasn't that bad. All in all recommended!

From the drinks to the food, everything was delicious. +1 for their passion fruit cocktail with mezcal. 😍 It is a bit expensive, but it's worth its price.

It was our first time at “La Preferida Peruvian Food” and we were pleasantly surprised. There is a large selection of starters here, which are also great to share. The selection of main courses is also large. There is also a large selection of dishes for vegetarians. I would actually like to give this 5 stars, but the prices are extremely high. Zunächst einmal möchte ich positiv erwähnen, dass die Gerichte schön angerichtet waren und meine Freundin mit ihrem Essen zufrieden war. Leider kann ich dasselbe jedoch nicht über mein Gericht sagen. Ich bestellte das Lomo Saltado und war enttäuscht festzustellen, dass es sehr salzig war, da ich übermäßig viel Sojasauce herausschmeckte und das Fleisch nicht zart war. Ich machte die Kellnerin auf meine Unzufriedenheit aufmerksam, jedoch blieb mein Hinweis unbeachtet, und das Gericht wurde trotzdem auf der Rechnung belassen. In einem qualitativ hochwertigen Restaurant erwarte ich, dass das Personal angemessen auf solche Anliegen reagiert, sei es durch Streichen des Gerichts von der Rechnung, das Anbieten eines Desserts oder eine andere Geste, um die Situation zu bereinigen. Diese Erfahrung hat mich leider enttäuscht, und ich bezweifle, dass ich das Restaurant erneut besuchen werde.

The food was delicious and authentic and the restaurant was very cozy. Nice facility. Unfortunately the staff seemed stressed and tired. Otherwise we really enjoyed the evening.

Nice small place with authentic and tasty peruvian cuisine. We liked especially the classic cevice which was fresh and very well balanced in terms of taste. Other dishes were also interesting and tasty. The menue onsite was shorter and not so wide as on their website - e.g only classic and vegetarian ceviches were available. Coctails were also quite enjoyable. The only downside was the prices which are rather high. Coctails were 11-12 eur. We paid almost 200 eur for two adults and a kid. Service was also good.

The place is really nice. The food was good. The only thing that was an issue is that they don't accept card. I guess it's normal in Germany but I'm used to having the option of paying with card in restaurants.

Great food, good wines, nice atmosphere. We had Ceviche Classico which was simply amazing. The vegan dumplings are also very tasty as are the yuca sticks. The octopus on mashed potatoes was good, although the taste of the first one was slightly outweighed by the last one. The portions are a bit small for the price.

We managed to have a spontaneous dinner at this restaurant , the Peruvian cuisine produced is very specific . But if you are a fan of exotic, slightly spicy-tasting food, then you should definitely try dishes such as "Aji de Gallina", and of course do not give up the "classic ceviche" - tender fresh pieces of white fish fillet under lime - chili marinade, with sweet potatoes and especially crispy corn - a combination of Wow sour bomb , I lacked a little more greens in the dish - ( coriander ) and chili .. At the end, be sure to try the dessert from "lukoma", a little delicate caramel creamy taste. Very cozy interior . My husband , originally from Peru , was pleasantly surprised , and recommended this place to friends . We'll come back again when we're passing through Frankfurt.

Todavía me pregunto por qué no hay personal peruano. La señora alemana que nos atendió no habla español, así que no entendía muchas de nuestras inquietudes. Los piscos de fruta fueron excelentes (en sabor, no en precio). Así mismo la comida estaba buena, pero me pareció más bien cara.

The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, people who works there are friendly and attentive, the food was with lot of flavor and looked like a home made meal. I can definitely recommend this restaurant. My only “but” is that the payment could only be in cash.

Eravamo tre colleghe a Francoforte per la fiera del libro e dopo essere state rimbalzate da tre osterie tipiche ci ha attirato la vetrina pulita e colore carta da zucchero di questo ristorante di cucina peruviana. Io più curiosa e due colleghe più frenate siamo state super contente della cena. Non avendo idea della cucina peruviana abbiamo preso un finger food di Yucca da dividere e poi un main a testa. Due dolci una birra e acqua gassata. Un totale di 35 a testa dove durante la fiera prendi a malapena un würstel con patate fritte! A me è piaciuto molto il cibo, l’ambiente e la cortesia della signora in sala per altro da sola. A differenza delle recensioni qui sotto, che abbiamo letto mentre aspettavamo di mangiare, ho trovato l’attesa minima, la signora concentrata per stare dietro ai dieci tavoli ma sempre cordiale e gentile. Sicuramente ci tornerò se passerò da Francoforte!

Very nice and authentic food, extra nice because of Chicha Morada being available. Menu is fairly small and focused on several variants of the essential Peruvian foods - I like this a lot, as this way the Arroz con Mariscos, Papa Rellena and the Yuca Frita we had were all top notch. Specific section of the menu for vegetarians - commendable. Only downside is cash only - while it is written prominently on the menu so at least no awkward surprise when you ask for la cuenta, it still is in 2023 a major letdown for me and will impact decision of when we will return since we usually don't carry cash in those amounts anymore.

Guter Service und Atmosphäre aber das Essen war teuer und wenig. Ich rate den Oktopus komplett ab. Er und der Ceviche haben nicht frisch geschmeckt. Die Causa mit Camarones war lecker.

Ich kam ganz zufällig vorbei und wollte schon immer mal Cevice probieren. Besser hätte ich es nicht erwischen können. Ein frisches, delikates Vergnügen. Schade, dass ich nicht öfter in Ffm bin. Schön auch, wie freundlich sich hier um Gäste gekümmert wird!

Ich habe keinen anderen peruanischen Vergleich, aber das Essen war sehr köstlich und vor allem frisch. Die auf schönem Geschirr servierten Speisen waren sehr schön angerichtet, das Auge und der Gaumen sehr zufrieden. Der Service war freundlich und dezent. Pisco sour sehr lecker. Die schlechten Beurteilungen auf google kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Wir hatten classico und atun Ceviche, vegane frierte Teigtaschen, sowie ein veganes Gericht mit Austernpilzen, Pekannüssen, Hafermilch und Kartoffeln. Des Weiteren haben wir uns die Maniok Stäbchen geteilt. Auch sehr gut. Die Frucht Tarte zum Dessert lecker, mal etwas ganz anderes. Meine Begleitung und ich waren etwas unsicher, da wir im Vorfeld von den kleinen Portionen gelesen hatten. Wir waren pappsatt. Ich würde wieder kommen.

Schönes Restaurant mit authentischer peruanischer Küche. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, das Essen war außergewöhnlich schnell fertig. Ich hatte das Ají de Gallina, es hat ausgezeichnet geschmeckt, dazu werden gratis Chips gereicht. Auf der Karte sind auch besonders viele Gerichte für den kleinen Hunger zu finden, außerdem sind alle Gerichte auch vegetarisch verfügbar. Wichtig zu erwähnen ist noch, dass hier nur Barzahlung möglich ist

Ein kleines peruanisches Restaurant im Herzen von Sachsenhausen. Das Essen war geschmacklich sehr gut und auch die Atmosphäre ist einladend. Preislich eher gehoben, aber für die Qualität in Ordnung.

It’s my first time to try Peruvian food and I am so happy I finally did try. I tried Lomo Saltado and it does kinda taste somehow like a Filipino dish which I love! It’s just taste home to me. I love the combination of beef, potatos, onion, and soy sauce and rice with it. It does not only fill your stomach but your soul too. The portion justifies the price and highly recommend trying this place when you visit Frankfurt.

Ich esse gerne peruanisch. Leider war das Essen geschmacklich gerade so ok, aber auch viel zu teuer für winzige Portionen. Ich esse das nächste Mal am besten wieder in Lima, aber auch in Berlin, Hamburg und Darmstadt sind peruanische Restaurants zu empfehlen. Auf dem Foto ist der große Ceviche, ich weiß nicht was dann der kleine Ceviche sein soll.

a hidden gem!! everything from the drinks to the food to the service to the MUSIC was 👌 top shelf, grade a. we recommend the pisco paloma, the arroz verde with tuna (INCREDIBLE TASTE) and the starter with shrimp and homemade mashed potato (SO good). they were playing bad bunny, rosalía and more 🔥 and the staff was super friendly, letting us move tables, bringing snacks while we drank 🍸 honestly not the price range i usually go for, but it was so worth it!

Sehr leckere, toll gewürzte Gerichte! Ich hatte den Thunfisch auf Reis in einer citrusfruchtigen Sauce. Den Maismehl Doppelkeks sollte man sich als Dessert auch nicht entgehen lassen.

The cocktails were very good. The food was not brilliant. My Rice and Octopus dish was lacking in flavour and the octopus was very tough. The worst part of the evening however was the service. The two people there were swamped.We counted less than 20 covers. We waited almost 15 minutes for our dishes to be cleared away. We then asked for a dessert menu. It arrived and that was the last we saw of the staff. We abandoned waiting after another 10 minutes. Our bill came to €86 . Unlikely to return.

Pro: Das kleine Restaurant bietet ein gemütliches Crossover aus modern und alt. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Erfreulich ist, dass es eine gute Auswahl an veganen/vegetarischen Gerichte gibt. Für Neulinge der peruanischen Küche können Gerichte wie Ceviche herausfordernd sein, allerdings kann ich es nur empfehlen. Die Speisen waren hübsch angerichtet und geschmacklich gut und ausgewogen gewürzt. Ein netter Bonus war, dass eine Sängerin lateinamerikanische Lieder sang, was in dem kleinen Restaurant eine schöne Atmosphäre erzeugte. Neutral: Die Cocktail Happy Hour war nicht wirklich günstiger als sonst, was kaum Anreize schafft. Man sollte auch unbedingt reservieren, da einige Menschen abgewiesen werden mussten als wir dort waren. Contra: Es wurde nicht gefragt, ob und wie wir die Rechnung getrennt abgerechnet haben möchten. Das macht es bei größeren Gruppen umständlich. Absolutes NoGo ist für mich die Tatsache, dass man hier nur bar bezahlen kann. Sowas ist nicht mehr Zeitgemäß und nicht am Gast orientiert.

Kleine Portion bei der Hauptgericht-Variante “Ceviche Clasico”. Schöne Atmosphäre und freundlicher Service. Der Rotbarsch hatte einen leichten Tauwasser Beigeschmack. Das mit Olivenöl zum Dippen gereichte Baguette war leider weder warm noch knusprig, sondern kalt und zäh. In Summe kann ich La Preferida somit nicht weiterempfehlen, gebe aber zwei Sterne für die schöne Atmosphäre und die freundliche Bedienung.

The worst service I have ever seen! Tasteless food. Quite expensive for what they offer. In the end, we asked for an espresso and the barman answered us a simple no! What a shame that they put the name of Peru so far down.

Fui con mi familia y pedimos yucas fritas, calmares y ceviche y quedamos todos muy contentos y satisfechos, porque todo estaba muy rico. Buen servicio, los chicos son muy amables y atentos al cliente, la comida llegó rápido y tengo que decir la verdad, hacia mucho que no tomaba un pisco sour y este me parece el mejor que he probado hasta ahora. Lo recomiendo!

ordered the big seviza, got the small. food came low warm. they put some dried corn seeds, which is a nice touch. on previous order they had the sauce separately, and it was good. this time, they just sent it in the food, and by the time i got it, the salt melted into the sauce and it made everything too salty. they could be good, but not paying attention to detail. the portions are rather small and are relative expensive.

Hungrig gekommen...hungrig gegangen:(( wir waren zu 5 im La Preferida, angelockt durch den Platz 1 im Magazin "Frankfurt geht aus". Wie es zu diesem 1. Platz in der Kategorie Lateinamerika jemals kommen konnte, ist uns allen schleierhaft. Die Pisco Sours waren geschmacklich sehr gut, allerdings pro kleinem Glas mit 10€ kein Schnäppchen. So ist man für 1 Drink pro Person gleich mal insgesamt 50€ (!) los. Wir hatten 3x den Arroz con Mariscos - laut Karte mit Oktopus, Garnelen und Kalmaren. Nur auf einem Teller fanden sich 2 kleine Garnelen, sonst 1 (!) Muschel in einer Reisportion, die leider nur ein Kleinkind satt machen könnte. Dafür der stolze (um nicht zu sagen unverschämte) Preis von 21€ (!) pro Miniportion. Auf der Website ist der alte Preis von 17€ noch in der Karte. Selbst das wäre noch teuer gewesen für eine solch mikrige Portion! Leider galt das auch für die beiden anderen Gerichte mit Fleisch. 5 Pisco Sour, 1 Flasche Wasser und 5 als Hauptspeisen getarnte Vorspeisen später waren wir 161€ los und leider noch so gar nicht satt. Kleiner Hinweis on top: wir saßen bei sehr niedrigen einstelligen Graden an einem Fensterplatz. Die Heizung im Restaurant war allerdings aus. Selten so gefroren während des Essens. Es zog enorm an den Beinen. Sehr unangenehm. In der Damentoilette funktioniert das Licht dort nicht, wo Waschbecken und Spiegel sind. Alles in allem: Überdenkt euer Preis-Leistungsangebot. Leider keine Empfehlung daher.

Sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Es war bereits der zweite Versuch, der nicht wirklich erfolgreich war. Sehr ungemütliche Atmosphäre. Eiskalter Gastraum. Vorspeise wurde vergessen. Preis-Leistung bei der Hauptspeise war unterirdisch. 21€ für 4 Stück Fleisch und eine unmotivierte Schüssel Reis. Absolut keine Empfehlung. Geschmacklich war es jedoch OK.

Wir hatten das Menü für 2 Personen für 70€, das war es leider nicht wert. Fisch sehr wenig, Fleisch war kalt und die Nachspeise ein einziger Witz. Geht ins Jaspers, Coq au vin oder Lobsters da bekommt mann leckeres Essen für sein Geld

Wir haben als deutsch-ecuadorianische Familie zum ersten und letzten Mal das Lokal ausprobiert. Um 17.45 Uhr kamen wir ohne Reservierung. Sofort kam darauf ein abgehobenes Verhalten, dass alles reserviert wäre zusammen mit entsprechender Stimme und Körperhaltung. Das Lokal war komplett leer. Wir bekamen bei kaltem Wetter ausnahmsweise einen Tisch vor der Tür. Um 18.30 Uhr war das Lokal beim Verlassen noch immer erst halb voll oder eher leer. Die Speisekarte zeigte einfache peruanische Gerichte und stand im Gegensatz zum abgehobenen Verhalten des Personals und den Preisen. Die Arroz con mariscos waren am Ende nur eine viel zu starke Pampe mit ausschließlich Pulpo (Oktopus). Unsere Frage nach etwas für Kinder wurde damit beantwortet, dass es keine Gerichte für Kinder gäbe. Wenn man bedenkt, dass das Lokal komplett leer war bis 18.15 Uhr hätte jeder normaler Latino, der Kinder als normal in einem Lokal empfindet, irgendetwas einfaches außerhalb der Karte als Service angeboten. Rindfleisch gab es ebenso wie Kartoffeln. Also kein Problem für ein Kindergericht. Lateinamerikanische Gastfreundschaft sieht vollkommen anders aus. Hier wird abgehoben ein unwissendes Publikum mit für Peru einfachen Speisen mit hohen Preisen für Erwachsene angeboten. Auch wenn der Preis für gutes Essen kein Thema für uns ist, aber schlechte Bedienung und kinderunfreundliches Verhalten halten uns von einem weiteren Besuch ab.

Decepción total, la comida sinceramente deja mucho que desear, el ají de gallina en trozos grandes y sin sabor, la papa rellena dulce... las yucas fritas pffff harinado es enserio??? la salsa de las yucas horrible, el arroz amelcochados sin sabor, el ceviche porfavor sin sabor sin gracia sin nada, y el lomo saltado porfavor la carne pasada de cocción sin sabor, los arroces saladisimos, la salsa del lomo saltado salado.... me dijo el mesero que así es la soja, ok lo sé pero se rebaja con un poco de agua, me sentí engañado y salí de muy mal humor, sin contar que tardaron más de 20 minutos y ni un picoteo de por medio... CAMBIEN DE COCINERO, esa persona no sabe hacer comida peruana.

Bis die Bestellung der Getränke aufgekommen wird vergehen mal locker 20 Minuten. Doppelt so lange wenn nicht sogar mehr wartet man dann aber auch auf sein Abendessen. Das unserer Meinung nach wenig mit der peruanischen Küche am Hut hat. Einfach das, langweilig. Dazu lauwarm. Die Bedienung gelangweilt, ebenso fad und ohne Lust. Passend dazu ist hier nur Barzahlung möglich...zumindest das wurde aus den Straßen Perus übernommen.

Wonderful place with authentic and delicious Peruvian food, amazing service and great atmosphere! Sit at the bar for the night if you want a good time and you’ll be entertained and well served for sure. From the appetizer to the main course, closing with delicous desert: every bite was pure pleasure and enjoyment! Do not leave without having had an ice cold pisco sour, awesome style and delicous! We’ll go again for sure.... and again, and again, and again!

We came across the restaurant by a coincidence, and what a nice surprise it was! The vibe and decor were spot on for an enjoyable dinner experience and relaxed conversation... The service was friendly and the food was delicious. Try the cocktails - my pisco sour was super tasty! For the main dish I chose a risotto with mushrooms, pesto and tuna - it was perfectly balanced and I will certainly return for that dish alone... I really enjoyed the quite limited menu that offered enough variety but reassured me about the quality of food at the same time. The only downside was that they ran out of the dessert by the time we stopped by, but it is true we had a dinner quite late on a Saturday night... I would warmly recommend this place!

Absolutely love the decor- very cool with calming retro colors and their Pisco sours are great. The food however is not only mediocre but presented in a fashion reminiscent of toilet productions. Considering the quality, the food is terribly over priced - you’re almost playing exclusively for the great decor. Should be mentioned that their espressos are great!

The place is just super inviting and decorated in a very simple but very nice way. The Peruvian decor is subdued, so definitely a very beautiful place in Sachsenhausen. The owner, who has the same place in Portugal, takes care of the guests. The menu offers a good variation of ceviche, causa and taco taco and selected Peruvian and Peruvian fusion dishes. No Peruvian beer or soft drinks, but hey, at least they have Ayinger beer. And delicious Pisco sour. So everything extremely promising to become a really hot location for dinner... The ceviche was the best ceviche I've eaten in Frankfurt (or even in Germany) - super fresh fish, almost no onions, sweet potatoes, Peruvian corn. Just astounding. The yuca with sauce was a little on the dry side. The tuna causa was excellent but not a traditional one. And the chocolate / maracuya cake was finger licking delicious. So why only 3 points? Mainly because of the wait - 1 hour...in an almost empty restaurant is something that cannot happen, there is no food that tastest SO good you need to wait 1 hour. No, no. And the portions were rather on the small side. And last not least: only cash accepted. Will I be back? I think so, but I will order the food I want to eat via phone 30 min before I arrive. Parking on the street is impossible, so use the Alt-Sachsenhausen parking lot 200 m away from the restaurant.
