La Picá de Deli Mel in Berlin

Today we went on a team trip to the Stasi prison, looking for a little snack we happened to come across the inconspicuous little house about 100m from the Stasi prison...I have to say everyone was thrilled!!! I ate an Empanadas Mechada (dough baked with beef and cheese) for 6.50 euros. Really super tasty, really a nice little snack inside and nice service 😀.. A real insider tip!!!!! 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

The guys who serve were very accommodating and generous. The pine empanada 10/10 and the steaks too. Even better than some places one tries in Chile 😉

Great empanadas, burgers and service.

Quality food. But today, 09/17/24, we were horribly served by a Chilean couple with a horrible attitude. It all started when we arrived, a guy with a dismissive attitude and even a very bad face greeted us. Later, minutes before closing, the same guy arrived in a very arrogant manner to ask us to leave and treated an elderly person who was at the next table in a very bad way. Honestly, it's not worth going to this place and being treated with disdain and indifference. A shame considering that they are Chilean national holidays and we went with the idea of ​​reconnecting with our culture, eating Chilean food and having a good time, something that we were not close to achieving.

It's traditional and extremely tasty, so sometimes you just don't need any more 😊 The prices are great. The staff was always friendly.

Every September 18th we are there as a family. My children can play in peace and experience a bit of their parents' country. Delicious food, especially Chilean meat. Gladly again and again!

The humitas 14 euros with a super tomato and onion salad. I don't know how I took my girlfriend from Latvia so she can get to know the food and the presentation was super ugly. Great little place not far from the Stasi Prison. Great food, friendly service. There was a constant flow of people for takeaways too. A good sign when a place is busy. We sat round the back in the seated area with our delicious empanadas and a beer.

Excellent meat empanada! Espresso coffee is also very good! The attendant speaks English and Spanish (German too, of course). They have a nice terrace at the back.

This place is a treasure. Not only is it the best and most faithful Chilean food you will find outside of Chile, but it is also one of the best and most delicious restaurants in Berlin. For sandwich lovers, I can't recommend enough the Italian churrasco (photo). Also for dessert, the lemon pie (photo) But please don't miss the opportunity to try the "empanada de pino" and the "pastel de choclo". You will not regret it.

Very special burgers, hot dogs and the like, especially for people who love guacamole. The beef is super tasty and all the ingredients are fresh. We like to eat here and sit in the sun or take food with us. The atmosphere is small and familiar, you feel very comfortable.

The shop is easy to miss, but that's not the only reason why it's not an exaggeration to call it an insider tip. Absolute recommendation.

A great little place to eat authentic Chilean food. The empanadas are delicious as is the dessert! Alfajores. Everything is made on site. And they even have oat milk for cappuccino! Don't miss if you're in the east side of Berlin.

As inconspicuous as the shop looks from the outside, you shouldn't be fooled - the food is simply delicious! I can't say whether it's authentic but I really enjoy getting takeaway there. You can also eat on site but places are very limited.

I was walking by there and I thought from the name that it was a Catalan place. Then I went in and ordered a empanada mechada and an Americano coffee, cost €9. Everything is very rich.

ordered the AS Luco via uber eats bread is well toasted, arrived warm, but the meat is tasteless and not spiced in any way. It also smells and tastes as if it were cooked in its own juices and was not properly fried in a hot pan. Generally disappointing and definitely not worth the price of 10€ in my eyes.

Die Empanadas sind mega Lecker, insbesondere die glutenfreie Empanadas (wäre noch schöner eine glutenfreie empanada mit Fleisch auch!) Die andere Speisen fand ich mittelmäßig, die hot dogs sind teuer wie gourmet hot dogs aber sind trotzdem ganz einfache junkfood hot dogs mit chemichsem Brot und keine gute Fleischqualität. Und Pastel del Choclo war mir viel zu süß, als wäre viel Zucker da drinnen. Schade weil das sonst sehr lecker sein könnte!

La comida realmente rica, bien preparada, la carne del anticucho estaba blandísima, probamos el pastel de choclo estaba super, la empanada de mechada un 10, porciones de adecuadas a generosas, precios promedio Berlin, no compare con Chile porque no estamos en Chile. La gente que atiende un amor, super buen vibe, sin duda volveremos.

Me gusta la pica de deli Mel mucho!!! Its a gem hidden in the quarter of Alt-Hohenschönhausen part of Lichtenberg. Usually you wouldn’t find it. It’s close to the former GDR prison which offers tours. Furthermore there are a lot of Art studios from various artists around. La pica offers delicious empanadas and burgers. You can get it with meat, but they also offer vegetarian and vegan options. There are a few seating spots inside the cute little place, but mostly outside seating with a large ”garden“ patio in the summer. It’s all self service. Once you have ordered you will get a beeper and be informed once your order is ready. I recommend the empanada con carne y queso and the Terramoto drink!!!

Eher durch Zufall, sind wir selber via Maps darauf aufmerksam geworden. So ein herzlicher Empfang vom Service. Die Speisen richtig lecker, probiert hatten wir Empanadas, aber auch einen Maisauflauf. PISCOSour einfach nur Spitze. Wenn ihr könnt, geht hin. Drumherum gerade Baustellencharme, aber war auch ok. Es gibt draußen ein paar Sitzmöglichkeiten. Man kann per Karte oder Bar bezahlen. Würde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen, wenn ich wieder in Bär-lin bin.

Wow! Exactly like in Chile! I ordered the classics - empanadas with beef and Churrasco Italiano (Chilean burger) and it brought me back to Chile right away! I was blown away by the quality of the empanadas (country style) and the Churrasco - the meat was full of flavor and fresh, the bun was even better than in Chile because it had a crust to it, the mayo was superb, the only ingredient that was less good than in Chile is of course the avocado, (you can’t beat the South American avocado) but you can’t possibly complain about that here:) unfortunately the only downside of this culinary experience is the awful choice of location - if it was only in the center of the city they would have exploded with popularity, so maybe they are reluctant to be too successful, which is totally their choice:)

Eine herrliche Oase mit frischen, super leckeren Empanadas. Im "Osten" gibt es recht wenig kulinarische Auswahl. Aber hier findet sich die seltene und tolle Abwechslung :)

Alles war perfekt. Hier bekommt man authentisches chilenisches Essen. Die Lage der Verkaufsstelle direkt neben dem Museum, die Größe der Empanadas, die einfach zu gut sind! Das kunstmann-Bier, das seinen Job sehr gut macht! Pisco Sour ist ein Muss. Ich empfehle es.

Sehr gutes Chilenisches Bistro. Von außen ist das Bistro eventuell etwas unscheinbar und nicht auf dem ersten Blick als solches zu erkennen, wer allerdings das Etablissement betritt kann sich sicher sein, dass er dort erstklassige chilenische Empanadas serviert bekommt.

La comida y el trato es de 10, comimos empanadas de carne mechada y de queso de cabra y tomate seco y estaban brutales, las mejores empanadas que comimos nunca. También comimos pastel de carne y de patata y estaba espectacular, y como no probamos todos los alfajores que había y una tarta de limón de 10! Sin duda volveremos y lo recomiendo 300% 🤩
