Disappointing experience – unfortunately not recommended The visit was overall disappointing. The service seemed overwhelmed, even with the simple act of ordering drinks. The kitchen was noticeably arrogant – unfortunately, this wasn't reflected in the quality of the food. The salad with turkey strips was drenched in a veritable flood of balsamic vinegar, and the dressing was further diluted by the insufficiently drained vegetables. The truffle pasta was a small bright spot, but it too clearly lacked finesse: dry, underseasoned, and what was labeled as Parmesan was more reminiscent of coarsely chopped Gouda. The turkey schnitzel with fries, which our son chose, was plain, but still the best thing on the table – though nothing worth going to an Italian restaurant for. A simple Baden restaurant could easily have competed. Overall, the price-performance ratio was completely out of line. The claim of fine Italian cuisine was unfortunately not met by either the quality or the service. For us it was a one-time visit – there will be no repeat.

In my opinion, they have the best pizzas here. The pasta dishes and other dishes are also very tasty. The service is very attentive. Reservations are recommended.

I really don't understand the hype. The food isn't good (pizza is dripping with grease, fries are dry, and they weren't the first time they'd been in the fryer), and the service isn't great (waited 40 minutes for three beers, had to order multiple times). There are much better options in town.

We went to this restaurant on a recommendation and therefore had somewhat higher expectations. We realize that these can't always be fully met, but we were unfortunately disappointed. We started with a mixed salad. A very simple starter, which is quite revealing. Aside from the green salad, it only contained a few heaps of grated carrots. The dressing consisted of (we assume) cream(?) and balsamic vinegar. Because of the balsamic vinegar, the main flavor was sour, and nothing else was really noticeable. For the main course, we chose classic spaghetti aglio e olio and one pasta fresca (chanterelles with salmon strips in saffron sauce). The first is a dish where you can't really go wrong, but it didn't taste particularly good or bad either, so a solid 5/10. The pasta fresca, unfortunately, tasted very bland and not worth the price. The truffle in the pasta with truffle was very tasteless and tasted more like truffle oil, which isn't worth the price. When the main course was served, we were served the wrong dishes twice, which we hadn't ordered, and the waiter made us feel like we were to blame. The location is quiet, but we would advise against sitting outside, as the ventilation or other kitchen equipment is very loud.

We stopped by spontaneously after hearing about "this good Italian restaurant." The food has a truly Italian touch. Delicious antipasti, and then we had pasta dishes. I was particularly pleased with the Italian-style carbonara (without cream). We'd love to come back!

La Piazza Among insiders and regulars, we call it "We go to Giovanni." Giovanni is an outstanding and passionate host who has gastronomy in his veins. The food here is excellent; you can even express your wishes, and they will fulfill them. No matter what you eat here, everything is top-notch. The service is very good, and all the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The interior is Mediterranean. Outside, there's a large beer garden separated from the street where you can sit outside. In the summer, you can enjoy the shade under beautiful large umbrellas. Occasionally, there's also a musical event. The atmosphere here is always quite informal. All in all, always worth a visit.

I would be sad if this still authentic pizzeria had to close. In that case, the Liedolsheim Lake Terrace would certainly be an interesting solution. No noise-sensitive neighbors, a nice terrace and space. Plenty of parking. How about it?

I write reviews like this with full conviction because I want to share my joy about culinary enjoyment and the associated performance. You have to be able and willing to do that. I can feel that this is the case. Many thanks to the la Piazza team and the boss, not least for the genuine hospitality.

Highly recommended, because I love pizza with a low, firm crust, I would have liked to give it 6 stars. Otherwise, it's a very pleasant family atmosphere, which fits.

Yes, La Piazza is highly recommended.

We were guests during the week. Ordered an Italian salad, two drinks, a pasta dish and a pizza. For dessert we had tiramisu and panna cotta. The food came quickly. The salad was ice cold, so we had to wait until the main course came to eat it. There is an excessive amount of balsamic vinegar on it. A ham pizza that I will remember for the rest of my life: The cheese is from the finest BASF - even when eaten individually it is absolutely tasteless. Ham from Gut&Günstig and the tomato sauce neither tasted salty nor like tomatoes. The pizza was incredibly round. I assume that there is no stone oven here and that the purchased dough - which is also tasteless and limp - is pressed into an aluminum mold and simply popped into the oven. I've eaten over 400 pizzas in my life. This remains in my memory as the worst pizza I have ever eaten. Not to be outdone in terms of tastelessness. Every pizza from every kebab shop has more taste than this BASF poem. I ate 3 forkfuls of the pizza and then lost my appetite. The waiter didn't even ask if I wanted to take the rest with me - I think he knows that the pizza here doesn't taste good. For a delicious, authentic Italian pizza, I recommend Hellas Salute in Friedrichstal. In return, my companion's pasta dish was tasty. The dessert was delicious but unfortunately it lacked authenticity as there was no amaretto in the tiramisu. The ambience is typically Mediterranean, well-rounded and not thrown together. The outside area is beautiful, separated and inviting. We won't be coming back again.

Good winter garden and terrace in summer, the service is great, parking and there is always an event like bands or parties. The food is not to be sniffed at either.

A very good Italian restaurant. The service was very attentive and friendly. I had Spaghetti Aglio Oilio, my favorite pasta. They were perfect. There was also a mayo on the edge of the plate, in my opinion a paprika mayo, which went perfectly with the parsley. I'd love to come back.

We were there on a Friday evening and it was very busy. The waitresses were all very nice and the service was great. The food was good but unfortunately the ambience wasn't. It was very loud in the beer garden and I found it very tiring to have a conversation.

Even though many people think everything is so great there, I have to say no. The food was often too salty. The toilet not particularly tasty. Everything is tight. I don't like it there at all.

A great restaurant! Super nice service, very tasty food at a fair price. There is no situation or moment where the service was stupid or the food wasn't tasty. That's why I'm now a permanent guest. Dogs are welcome too, really! I can always recommend it to everyone.

Schönes Lokal, Pizza für 16,50€ fand ich etwas zu klein. Das eine Muschel von vier auf meiner Pizza zu war, heisst kann diese nicht essen, na ja könnte man schon sehen beim drauf legen. Service sehr nervig. Hatte gerade letztes Stück Pizza im Mund wurde mein Teller auch schon abgeräumt. Wehe das Glas ist leer steht schon ein Kellner da. Einfach viel zu schnell und stressig. Sorry geht für mich gar nicht. Rechnung konnten wir auch nicht getrennt bezahlen. Ohne Frage die gemeinsame Rechnung auf den Tisch gelegt. War hier das erste mal. Vielleicht wäre es ein anderes mal besser. Schade....

Es gibt nichts vergleichbares im Umkreis von 50 km,was Qualität, Preis/ Leistung betrifft. Vom Unterhaltungswert ganz zu schweigen👍👍👍 Und auch zu Corona-Zeiten waren die Speisen "to go" ein Genuss und mit Liebe zubereitet!!!

Sehr feines italienisches Restaurant

Das Essen liegt nahe an einem Sterne Restaurant. Super Qualität, super Geschmack und moderate Preise. Service und Freundlichkeit wird hier gelebt.

Auf der Terrasse kann man schön sitzen. Die Bestellung war etwas schwer, da die Bedingung uns nicht gut verstanden hat. Letztendlich hat's aber geklappt. Die Pizza war lecker und der Boden knusprig. Salat war ok. Das Tiramisu war unglaublich gut. Wir kommen wieder.

Gute Pizza aber leider mussten wir über 1h auf unser Essen warten :/
