LÁ GOI Restaurant in Bielefeld

It was BAD. Really bad. There was dirt between the lettuce. A little avocado cost an extra 4 euros! There was no indication of this, neither when ordering nor when paying, nor on the menu. Only when I insisted on a receipt and asked what the miscellaneous items were, did I get an answer. What a disappointment. The ambiance also bothered me a lot. It had a pungent, horrible smell of artificial air fresheners. This place should be closed and not reopened.

We are a family of four; ordered 5 different menu's. Really tasteful, quite a porties! We left the Restaurant, with full tummy and full smile. 😁

The food is amazing, super tasty, large portions. The cocktails are totally interesting and delicious. We were there during the week and it was empty. This confused us a bit at the beginning, but we were told that everything is full on weekends and reservations are necessary. We only came because of the gourmet block, but the restaurant impressed us so much that we will definitely come back more often!

The food there was very good and was inexpensive. I found the cocktails too expensive. The service was nice and things went quickly. The ambience is rather simple and functional, but clean and was ok for me. Many vegan dishes, as you can often choose your own meat or tofu.

We waited over 90 minutes for the food. From my point of view, the service didn't seem customer-oriented either.

We went to La Goi for dinner. First of all, the food was really impressive. Delicious soup first, the main courses were a good size and really tasty. Now to the location itself. It's kind of cool and bare there. Not a loving interior, it was more like a bistro without any specific connection to the kitchen. The service staff are young and inexperienced, but very hard working and friendly. An experienced and experienced colleague would definitely help you. It was funny that we got the “nibbled” plate from the starter back for the main course. We were able to redeem our NeoTaste voucher. So, keep it up in the kitchen. Spruce up the shop a little and add a few loving details, then there will soon be the two missing stars 🙌🏼

The Vietnamese restaurant La Goi is located in the middle of the city on August-Bebel-Straße in Bielefeld. Since it was very warm, we would have liked to sit outside, but the space on the main street wasn't very inviting. That's why we went in, but we didn't really feel comfortable there. We were the only guests, the decor is spartan, but unfortunately not Vietnamese at all. In my opinion the food was mediocre. The taste of the meat was okay, but it was sitting on a whole bowl of pasta that was far too soft and tasted nothing at all. The salad on top wasn't tasty either. I imagine a nice Vietnamese restaurant differently. Since the restaurant is still very new, there is room for improvement. The young woman who served us was very friendly.

Hello everyone, I was there on December 29th. pick up for dinner. The food wasn't particularly tasty. The dishes were purchased or not seasoned. Some of the vegetables were still raw and they weren't the typical ingredients as I know them. The sushi wasn't standard, I don't know what kind of rice it was, but it tasted kind of weird. The service wasn't friendly. When I asked about dishes or ingredients, I was referred to the menu. For 50 euros for two (food only) I expected a lot more! Ambience cool and loud (screaming from the staff).

The food was ok - nothing more, we had to wait a long time and the dishes were rather cold.

We ordered different dishes: sushi, summer rolls, fried tofu and fried shrimp. Overall we were very satisfied with the order. The delivery was on time and convinced us. The summer rolls were very good, but we could have done without the shrimp in them. The fried tofu was surprisingly delicious, even for someone new to tofu. The fried prawns were well done and tasty. The sushi was solid – there is definitely better, but we enjoyed it and would order it again. Particularly positive mention should be made of the sauces provided, which were excellent and rounded off the meal perfectly. Overall we were satisfied and would definitely order here again. Good quality, delicious taste and fast delivery make the store recommended

The atmosphere is not very cozy

I would absolutely not recommend anyone to eat here. I ordered takeout and had to wait quite a long time to receive my order. I believe that this is certainly not a Vietnamese restaurant. I didn't see a single Vietnamese person in the restaurant at all. The decoration and the quality of the food are very poor. The rice in sushi is very dry and definitely not rice suitable for sushi. What's particularly noticeable is that there are no sauces, as I'm used to with other sushi. The fried noodles are completely unseasoned, the vegetables are still hard and look like frozen vegetables. I ordered summer rolls with peanut sauce, but I was delivered a black sauce. There was even pepper in it, which I saw for the first time. I think this restaurant is not a Vietnamese restaurant.

Unfortunately not what we expected. The restaurant was very dark and there was no decoration. It was very cold and bare. The staff wasn't very friendly. The sign at the restaurant says 'authentic Asian restaurant' and music by Apache is playing. Food wasn't just ok.

We went there for dinner today as a couple with a small child. We got our spring rolls after 15 minutes, one main course after 40 minutes and the other main course after 55 minutes. Unfortunately we had to eat different foods. The food was okay, but not to our taste. The table was swaying dangerously. It seemed very strong, as if children were not welcome. At least we were offered a drink or dessert due to the waiting times, so there are 3 stars instead of 1. We would come again, maybe it just wasn't the best day.

The food is good, not the best sushi I've eaten, but perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is anything but cozy. Everything seemed very cold and empty and it was uncomfortably quiet because there was no music playing so everyone else in the room could take part in our conversation. It's a shame, the Instagram profile looked very promising. However, I am not interested in visiting this restaurant again.

Unfortunately the food was only mediocre... the drinks weren't cold... The food lacked spice, despite the advertised spiciness. The salad was dressed with a ready-made American dressing. There are better alternatives!

The wine wasn't cold, our starters were given to the wrong table, where the suggestion that the people there didn't order it wasn't addressed. There wasn't much going on in the restaurant, but everything still took a long time. The starter came after about 30 minutes. The starters were good, but unfortunately the main course was not. The staff was friendly but seemed a bit overwhelmed.

We tried ordering from La Goi several times. The food is solid so far. However, the delivery times are adventurous to say the least. We live relatively close to the location. However, they still manage to take over 90 minutes to deliver the food. We were informed via Lieferando that the driver had set off, but it then took him a whopping 50 minutes. Some of the food was cold and burnt. Conclusion: When it comes to delays, La Goi can definitely compete with Deutsche Bahn.

Hello. Unfortunately our visit was not a pleasant experience. Because of the good weather we decided to sit outside on the “terrace”. At second glance we noticed that it was very dirty and unkempt. Dirty tables, broken chairs and a dirty floor including cigarette butts didn't exactly invite you to linger. Maybe you should think again about opening the outdoor area if you don't have the capacity to maintain it. The food we ordered can be described as “okay” at best. The starters and main courses tasted rather bland and lacked freshness.

The food is good and the portions are sufficient. However, I don't find it comfortable here. It seems more like a bistro than a restaurant. The prices are fair. You can also have the food delivered via Lieferando. We will definitely come back again to try out a Vietnamese dish.

Dancing Beef is my favorite. Enjoy your meal. Large portions. We would be happy to come back.

Tested portion of fried noodles with chicken, to take away for €13. I was initially surprised at the high price, but wanted to give it a chance. The service was nice, but seemed uninterested. The noodles tasted ok. The noodles were cut extremely small and there was a lot of chicken breading under the noodles. Unfortunately, the chicken was a bit too dry and too salty, while the noodles were completely lacking in salt. The vegetables tasted good and were well fried. Unfortunately, due to the high price compared to the product received, I would not recommend the store.

I recently ordered from the sushi shop "LÁ GOI" and I absolutely love it! The employees were incredibly accommodating and delivered my food after the regular time because I didn't have time to do it any other way. What was particularly impressive was that they customized my sushi to my liking without charging an extra charge. The friendliness of the staff is really remarkable, and the sushi tasted perfect. Every bite was a delight! I can only recommend “LÁ GOI” – both the service and the quality of the food are outstanding. Many thanks to the “LÁ GOI” team for this wonderful experience!

Were here with City 4 two. The food was good, but with a lot of waiting time. But there was only one waitress there and the kitchen was also preparing for orders taken away from home. We were in the restaurant for 1.5 hours. The drinks were delicious.

The food looked better than it tasted. Was spontaneously in this shop with a friend from Bielefeld. Was there for the first time. I ordered the last number on the menu (Dark Duck). It was duck with rice and vegetables. I didn't like the food at all. One of the reasons for this was that some of it tasted a bit burnt to me (and some of the vegetables were actually a bit black). In retrospect, I now think it's a cheek to offer something like that for 14.50 euros. And I'm angry with myself for not letting it go back. But who knows what some restaurants will do with the food? Was definitely the first and last time I was in this store. The service was actually quite nice and the furnishings were very spartan...

Food was not delivered!!!!! We waited for more than 2 hours… several times tel. asked. The first time it said “going out soon” and the second time (about 1 hour later) it said “it’s on the way and almost there”. Thanks for nothing. We didn't get any food! So unfortunately NOT recommended!!!

Ate Tom Ka soup and Bun Bo. The soup tasted as if curry paste available in the supermarket had just been dissolved in coconut milk. The taste is flat and uninspired and a little too thin for me. No comparison, for example, to the Tom Ka in the Soul Kitchen in Bielefeld. The beef dish was equally bland. The meat was barely marinated and the only garnish was chopped lettuce. There is no comparison, for example, to the same dish at Locky Umi, where the meat is spicy marinated and the dish is served with fresh herbs (cilantro and mint). Really boring food and the shop itself is rather sparse. It's a shame, because the people there were pleasant and friendly, if rather unprofessional, which I think is okay.
